she always started out the day the same feeling nothing but sadness and boredom. The reason for this is because really felt like there was nothing in life to care about. She numbs her pain with not drugs or any kind of substance but with her writing. She loved to write. It was the only thing that made her feel like she could do no wrong. She jumped out of bed and started to get ready for school and when she was finally ready she grabbed her notebook and favorite pen and started out the door. on her way to school riding the school bus as usual. The leader of the jock squad came up and sat right next to her.

Jake

Jake sighed loudly as his alarm clock rang. It was another day of school. Another day of girl hitting on him, another day of haters hating him. The dark haired male stood from his bed and rubbed his shirtless chest for a moment before he head into the bathroom. Starting a shower jake got in and closed his eyes as the hot water came over him. Although Jake was ritch and he had it all, he could get any girl he wanted, he had the whole school on his side and almost every one loved him, although all this was true Jake was not happy. Would you be if your whole family has died when you were just a kid? Jake's mover father and eleven adoptid and none adoptid siblings were kill in a plan crash along with a large amount of his friends familey. Ever since the dark haired male had changed. He only had two people in this world that kept him alive, his only living sister Holly and his best friend Sheaba. If it wasn't for those two Jake would have kill himself years before. Sighing Jake shook the thoughts from his head and started to wash himself up.

After showering Jake got out and walking into his bedroom changing and fixing his hir. He still had quite some time before he had to chatch the bus. So the Jake headed down the steps were he found his sister Sheaba and her only two living siblings sitting at the table. jake gave a smile and sat down with them. " Good morning." He said in a sweet voice giving the yougest of the kids a bright smile. He took what he wanted from the plate in the middle of the table and started to eat. After doing so Jake fed his animals, grabbed his book bag, and headed out to where he would meet the bus.

After waiting for a sort time Jake got onto the bus the noise hurting his ears as soon as he got on. Almost all over the seats were full,b ut he found a seat next to a girl who was writing in a note book. Jake glanced over at the words, but didn't read them. He was sure this girl was one of the people that didn't like him because he was a jock. But the dark haired male was nothing like his jock friends. He had a heart, he was sweet and caring to whoever he came across.

She never let on to any that she felt as though she was all alone. this jerk had the nerve to try and look in her notebook. he hurriedly looked away as soon as she gave him her always so "look at my stuff and you die look" at him. that seem to not even phase this all star could do no wrong Jake. she really know him well but knew he was a jock all the same and she despised jocks.and wish the bus would stop at school soon. like a genie from a lamp her wish came true. most would take their time to get off the bus but her she darted all the way to the front like a bullet from a gun. when history class started as usual she just doodled like she always did. there was no point in studying. she had straight A's would good would it do to start paying attention now. when it was study hall time she reached for her poetry book only to find it gone. her horror was realized when she remembered she had pulled out her book on the bus. now she knew exactly who had it and she had to find a way to stop the all powerful Jake from reading all her personal thoughts and feelings in front of the whole school. she headed on her mission right away with anger and hate in her eyes. when she saw her notebook and the almighty captain of the thong wearing brigade Jake.

I got up in the morning. As usual my alarm clock failed to go off and the buss would show up in a couple of minutes. I sped through my shower and grabbed a breakfast bar as I ran outside to catch my buss which was just pulling up. I was a small boy with brown hair and green eyes. I was widely picked on by most of the kids in school for reasons that were unknown to me. I didn't know if I was good at anything. Not good at sports or anything in school I was a state C student even though I put effort into it. Sometimes I wish my parents would let me stay home... though they were not much better than the rest of the kids at school. My Dad was a drunk and my mom was too afraid of him to even talk to me.

I had made it to the buss just in time. As I walked past sets looking for somewhere to sit kids sitting alone would move over so I couldn't sit next to them. One of the kids tripped me and I dropped my breakfast bar. Another kid picked it up and asked "Are you going to eat this?" I nodded as I stood up again reaching for the bar. Instead of handing it to me he threw it out the window "Oh. I guess not." He said tauntingly. I didn't say anything and finally someone let me sit next to them. Probably because he had fallen asleep. My stomach growled as the buss started moving again.

She saw him being so alone and wish she was a better person to stand up to those punks but instead she handed him up a piece of her doughnut and quickly retreaded back to her book quickly and surely as she had handed him a piece of her breakfast. She still had not enough in her to tell him it would be OK because she wanted to escape the jock mafia as quickly as possible. she saw him again in science class but as always never talked to anyone so she just doodled like she did in all her classes so as to be distracted by all the mean things all the kids were probably saying about her. during her study hall though she realized her book was missing so she went after the only one who she would have Mr. captain of the thong wearing brigade himself Jake. Her anger was confirmed when she saw he had her book. she knew she had to get it back but didn't know how to do so because right to the thong brigade king was the all to prissy prissy princess herself Claire Merit the most selfish girl who had ever lived. She ruins lives just so she can laugh at you. if she got a hold of that book she would be ruined for the rest of her life.

Jake

Jake was taken slightly abck when the girl gave him a death glare. He wasn't going to read what she was writing, nore was he going to tell any one if he did. Jake could tell that this girl didn't like him and it made him quite sad he wasn't a jerk like people thought he was. jake sighed and sat still the rest of the bus ride. Once they got to the school the girl bolted off the bus leaving her notebook behind. Jake looked around before he picked it up and walked off the bus. He was quickly pulled away by his friends before he could find the girl.

Once Jake got to his first hour he placed the notebook inside his back pack where it would stay until he found the girl. Sitting through his first hour, Jake became rather bored and pulled out his own note book starting to write. His next hour was study hall and he thought it would be a good way to ask if the teachers knew where he would find the girl. Standing up Jake pulled the note book from his bag and walked to the desk of the woman in the room. But before he could ask the girl came up yelling and screaming at him. Jake handed her the book abd held up her hands. " You left it on the seat I;ve been trying to find you all day..." He said in a rather sweet voice. " I didn't read it." Jake looked at the girl with his soft minight blue eyes. " At least some ones else didn't get it."

I noticed a girl yelling a Jake. I tried to ignore it and continue drawling but my pencil broke and they were right next to the pencil sharpener. I tried to slip by them to sharpen it but someone took my notebook and I tried to get it back. He was much taller than me and made me jump to get it. "Give it back!" I said in a louder voice than I normally talked in. The other boy taunted me. "You want this? Why is it so important?" He started to look at my comics. "Oh are you this one?" He said while he was pointing at the hero of my comic and laughing. "Just give it back!" I yelled as I was trying to grab it from him. He pushed me over and started to walk over to the window. "No stop!" I yelled as I got up to try and block his path.

"thank you"she didn't mean to scream at Jake. now she realized that he wasn't that bad after all. she started to feel guilty after thinking such evil thoughts about him. Realizing Claire was still there she quickly darted away from the group before anyone could say anything about her that would make her feel or think any less about the only jock who had a heart. She saw Claire grin behind her. then a sudden surprise caught her eye it was the boy who had been teased on the bus. she quietly went to him and just sat next to him. She didn't know what to say to him. so she plugged in her headphones and sat writing her poetry like she did always during her open period. an hour passed and soon she became more aware that she had missed her last hour so she just decided to walk home. on her way home though she started to hear a very odd noise. it seemed to be a growl or a slight hiss but she couldn't determine which one it was. feeling slightly frightened she walked even faster thinking it would help clam her nerves. the noise however seemed to be getting closer as though it was following her so she darted for her house which she knew was only two blocks from where she was heading so she did the only thing she could do and ran as fast as her legs could carry her.

Jake

Jake sighed as he walked out of the school building and out to the bus. Climbing on he sat by one of his friends by the name of Ryan. He gave a nod to the other male and he nodded back. Jake pulled out his book and started to read. Once again this was other thing that sat him appart from his jock friends he loved to read, he was smart, and learning was his friend. Ryan rolled his eyes. " Why the hell are you reading?"

Jake looked at his friend and gave a shrug. " Don't want to be stupid like you I guess." The other male gave Jake a dirty look, but went back ato listening to his music and texting. Jake's eyes dropped back down to his book. Once the bus got closer to where Jake lived the dark haired male slipped his book into his back pack and got himself ready. Once the bus driver stopped jake got off and staerted to walk up the road, but something caught the males midnight blue eye glancing over Jake saw the girl from on the bug being chased by a large dog. The dog was much larger then she was and was gaining on her fast. Living at a small shelter ment that Jake was rather good with animals himself. He dropped his bag and bolted off after to dog. Jumping infront of it just before it was about to bite the girl.

Jake looked at the dog and soon saw that it was one of his friends wolf hybrids. The dark haired male stood. " Trigger! How dare you!" He spapped at the dog and it laid down before the dark haired male. " Go home!." Jake snapped and the dog took off up the road jumping over the fence of it's back yard.

I was looking out the window as Jake stopped the dog and watched it run away. I was impressed to say the least. I started to put my stuff away as the buss pulled up to my stop. When I was getting off I stepped over one of the kids trying to trip me. I wasn't going to fall for that again I though as I smiled thinking I was so clever. I guess that was short lived because they pushed me down after seeing me smile. I got up and walked off the buss trying not to let that ruin my 'victory'. I started to walk to my house but I could hear my Dad yelling again. I decided it was a bad time to go home so I walked down the street a little and pulled out my notebook as I sat on the steps of an abandoned house. I took a couple of twigs out of it, from when the kid threw it out the window, and I started working on my comics again.

confused but grateful. she walked towards Jake and lightly tapped him on the shoulder and said the two words that were always hard to say when your thoughts made you feel guilty about how you think people are and it turns out your wrong about them. those two words were "thank you". he turned at her feeling awkward about his stare. she quickly went on her way but was not about to turn back to see if he was following her. she trusted in her gut that he wasn't. later that night before she went to bed she felt like she owed this Jake guy a real symbol of gratitude after all he had not shared her notebook with his friends and he had saved her from a big ugly and somehow strange looking dog. she couldn't help but feel though that Jake was hiding something. that something though she thought to herself that she would not pursue until he had granted her permission to do so. unlike other girls at her school she was not a snoop and did not care about other peoples personal lives and how they lived them.

the next morning though started out as usual but somehow different because she felt slightly more happy. like butterflies in her stomach. this feeling stayed with until she got on the bus. she sat down in her same spot. this time though she had the idea in her head that she would tell Jake thank you in a proper manner with a gift she would make him in art class. when she got to art class during fourth hour she started to use her amazing hidden skills of painting to paint Jake a picture of him on a football field holding a trophy of sorts. when she completed the project and had let it dried she put it in her back pack carefully and started towards the bus area.when she got there she saw Jake and felt slightly queasy. she saw that he was surrounded by a group of friends so she decided to give it to him on the bus when nobody was looking.

My morning was the same as usual. Again my alarm clock didn't go off even though I could have sworn I fixed it that time. I quickly took a shower and ran out to catch the buss with yet another breakfast bar. They pushed me down and threw my breakfast bar out the windows. I was hungry all day because my parents wouldn't let me get lunch from the cafeteria and I never had time to make it myself. Throughout the day I was bullied and stuffed into lockers with the sole excuse given to me every time "Well your small enough to fit!"

After the day was over I got onto the buss and for the first time I got a seat to myself. I sat where I was waiting for my stop while looking out the window. I envied the kids playing outside on the playground. I wished I could have fun like that. When I went to get out my notebook a kid took it and was taunting me by holding it just out of my reach. "Give it back!" I yelled but he continued taunting just like they all did.

Rain was new to this town and she was walking around trying to get used to things around here. She started her first day of school tomorrow and she was more nervous than she had ever been. AShe had never fit in at her old school so she was hopeing that it would be different here. She was walking down the sidewalk and she passed a house that looked abandoned and decided to check it out. It was old and creepy looking and it looked like the perfect place for her to turn in to a studio. she ducked under an over grown bushand went to the side of the house and found a window that all the glass was broken out of and crawled through it. the inside was very dark but she could fix that with some light and some decorations. she found some broken stairs and cautiously climbed them to the upper floor and entered a room that was missing it's door. the room was empty but i had bright yellow wallpaper she went over to the window and saw a boy getting picked on by some jerks. they had taken a notebook away from him and were holding it over his head and laughing at him. She darted out of the room , down the sairs and out of the house over to them. Rain may be small but she wasn't weak so she ran up to the boy holding the notebook and kicked him in the back of the leg making him fall to his knees then plucked the notebook from his hand. "don't be an assto people smaller than you!" she grabbed the the hand of the kid that had been picked on and took off runnning towards the house again pulling him along. Once she got to the steps of the house she dropped his hand and handed him the note book "you alright?"

"Uhhhh..." I was a bit lost with words at this point trying to figure out what had happened. After a quick moment I managed to reply "Y-yea." I took my note book from her glad she wasn't trying togo through it. "Umm... Thanks." I said as I started to walk away. My house wasn't to far away. It was just two houses over but the walked helped me make sense of what just happened. He was sure she would start bullying him later on just to fit in. When he got home, again he dad was yelling at some one, so he hesitated before walking back to the abandoned house half hoping she had left. When he didn't see anyone he sat on the steps and started to work on his comics again.<o:p></o:p>

She smiled at him knowing how weird she must seem but she hated when people treated other people like that. she watched him leave then decided to go back in her new hang out place. She went to the upper room and sat at the windowwatching out at the cars that passed and watched as is slowly got darker. She was just about to leave when the boy came back carrying his not book and sat on the steps. She went down the stairs as quietly as she could and crawled out the window door she had made. She slowly crept around the corner making no noise and sat next to the boy. "Hey! what are you drawing? Oh! by the way! my name is Rain. what's yours??" she held her hand out to him hoping he wouldn't reject her just because she was a bit weird.

I jumped at first thinking it was another bully, then I noticed it was the girl that had helped me get my notebook back. "Oh hi." when she asked me if I was drawling I closed my notebook to afraid to show her my comics. "I'm Ben..." I said hesitantly then I looked down avoiding eye contact. I normaly didn't talk to people and even rarer had anyone willingly talk to me.

"well ben... it's nice to meet you.. you are the first person i have met here. you seem pretty attached to that notebook is it something you will share someday?" She could tell he was nervous so she scooted just a few inches away so he wouldn't feel like she was invading his personal space. "i'm sorry i'm usually not like this.. but i hate seeing people treated like that. They think that because people are different the have a right to treat them like crap. i wont stand for it and i wont let people treat you like that either" she clenched her fists and held her breath for a minute the nreleasing it she looked at him. "are you really ok?"

At first when she said she was new and I was the first person she had talked to I was thinking she would be just like the rest of them but... then she talked about how she hated people that pick on kids who were different and how she wouldn't let that happen... I guess that won me over. "Ummm..." I debated telling her what was going on about what my comics were for and why I was hanging around this abandoned house but decided against it. The first potential friend I have ever had and I was going to try my best not to scare her away. "Yeah.. I'm fine."

"My butt is getting cold.. come on." she got up and and held a hand out to him hoping he would take it and follow her. "i don't bite... to hard." she winked at him and kept holding out her hand waiting for him to take it.

After hesitating he took her hand and followed. Where are we going? He wondered but was to afraid to ask. He figured he was about to find out anyways. As they walked he felt the chill of the air and looked up to see it was already getting dark. He was about to say he had to go and run off so his dad wouldn't be mad at him for not being home before dark but something told him his dad would be mad anyways so he continued following.
