Black Wood Academy. (RP)

Cherie could not believe how amazing the people in the school when she heard their abilities. Mental shields? Telepathy? Healing? Those are amazing abilities. Cherie was not sure weather to feel happy or sad, but she started to grow overly excited, "Wow! That's amazing! I'm really really really jealous! Those are way better powers than I have!" Cherie needed her medication. She walked back and forth to try to keep herself actively moving.

"Ah... That was what I was hearing outside while I was in your head, wasn't it Adaire. By the way, I am sorry about that, and your mom's 'fear' of you. My mom was never fond of me. She treated me like a slave. I even have a few scars. One thing I do have to say is I know I inherited my shield from her. I could never sense her thoughts, even though she made them well known verbally." I scowl. "The only reason I have these scars," I snarl, lifting the back of my shirt up revealing three long scars along the spinal chord. "Is because I couldn't get inside her head. So I came here to get away. And I know she won't care because I have disappeared for days, even weeks at a time and the only reason I went back is because I had to... She always had an alibi..."

Slowly Adaire removed her long gloves to show off her hands. On each wrist was an ugly pink scar that stretched halfway up her arm, it was all purple and puffed up. "My father, bless his soul, he saved me from my real mother. When I was nine she ran me a bath and stayed in the bathroom with me, I thought it was really odd, but when she told me to give her my arm I did. All I remember is pain, I know I screamed a lot, but I don't know how she managed to slit both of my wrists. She stayed in the bathroom with me and held me while I bled. My dad heard me screaming and came into the bathroom... and then all I remember is darkness and voices calling me. I woke up in the hospital hooked to a bunch of tubes and things. Soon after I found out that my mother killed herself before the police could subdue her and my father was having mental issues. My dad married later on, but he was never the same. He really loved my mom and I think that's what drove him to shoot himself. So all I have left is my step mother and she's all I've ever known. She may be scared of me but she takes good care of me." She pulled her gloves back on quickly. "We seem to have quite a bit in common Reno." Adaire glanced up suddenly. "Something wicked this way comes." She indicated as the headmistress came down the stairs.

Issac heard all this talk of "Psychic" powers like bilocation, and telepathy. Issac really hoped that they were all just joking around, or they were just crazy. Unfortunately the fear had been reassured when one girl had become two. She was talking to different groups of people at once. Issac thought deeply at these new events unfolding. He wondered if they all knew they had these types of powers and expected him to have those powers too. As far as he knew though, he didn't have any. Looking around they seemed to all know they're powers or whatever they are. He was quite scared and dismissed the group of people he was in.

"Sorry, I have to go to the bathroom real quick." He took the bags and walked quickly down the hall and looked for the bathroom. After a bit of searching he found a bathroom and put his suitcase in a corner. The room was very polished and white. It was very bland for his tastes. He took a quick look at himself in the mirror. He looked for anything that seemed out of place. He still didn't believe he could be some kind of psychic with supernatural powers. As far as he knew he was a perfectly healthy growing teen.

He hesitated to go back out into the main lobby and see the other kids for fear that it would all be true. He had to though. He took steps into the hallway and found himself back in the lobby. Maybe, most people had this power. Maybe he was just making a mountain out of a molehill. Still, he felt out of placed since he had not been able to figure out his power, had he have any.

(OOC: Sorry for not posting in a while)

Nathan soon managed to calm down and stop crying. He was used it, he panicked a lot. But he'd only felt like he had just now once before. When people started to admit having super natural powers, he was relieved. He had been beginning to think he'd never meet anybody with them again. When people revealed their scars, he squirmed with terror. They reminded him of his father, and how his father had sacrificed himself to save Nathan that time. it seemed so long ago, but it was only a year or so back. "I-I think I have powers too. My father said I had something called empathy, before he...p-passed away. He said I should never tell my mother, and as men we should protect her. He also said I should never tell anybody as they might try and hurt me like before, b-but you guys seem nice!"

Zelda was speechless. She couldn't believe people could do that to there own children. Her mother would never have dared lay a finger on her. She listened to both stories with wide, tear filled eyes. When they were both finished, she struggeld to come up with words. After a bit of word chocking she finally, took a deep breath and looked at both of the with a deep sadness and fright, "I can't believe you both had to go through such a horrible experiences. I'm so, so sorry."

Zelda turned to look at the boy. He was just as frightened as she was in that moment. Slowly and calmly, she stepped forward and picked up his hand, holding it gently and smiling softly, "My dad passed away as well. But you shouldn't be frightened. He'd want you to live happily. I'm a little daunted by this place, but I'm here for my mom and dad. Why don't we both try and be brave for our parents?" She let go off his hand, put her hand on her hip and gave him one of her best bright and beaming smiles, "And of course we're nice! You can trust us! We're all in the same air blimp!...Or is that boat?" She closed one eye and stcuk out a little bit of her tongue in mocking concentration, in order to make the boy laugh a little.

I shrugs my shirt back down as I stand up straight. "Something most wicked indeed." I muse. "Hello, I assume you are the headmistress of this fine school." I state, turning to face the headmistress. "We were talking about our past... Ah yes student orientation... when is that exactly?"

Adaire kept herself close to Reno, feeling a true friendship sparking between them. He may be one of the few friends she had ever had, and she appreciated. Here in this school she felt welcome and for once in her life, she was outgoing and loveable. She thought maybe she might enjoy it here after all. No mother and no criticism, just acceptance of one another

Cherie could not believe how difficult life was for the other children. Cherie felt terrible for the other psychics because she had lived a more stable life. She was lucky that her parents simply did not believe her power, because it looked too normal to be anything special in their point of view Even though she collected things and store them into a treasure box over her course of life. The thought of abuse disturbed Cherie causing her hand to clinch into a fist, slightly shaken. Despite that, she grew a slightly more interested in learning the other students, though it would be very tough for her to do so with her very short attention span. She notice the other students looking towards the Head Mistress. "We were talking about our past... Ah yes student orientation... when is that exactly?" Cherie heard.

Nathan giggled when Zelda mocked concentration. Nathan then noticed the dull headmistress again, and a boy asking, "We were talking about our past... Ah yes student orientation... when is that exactly?" The headmistress gave Nathan goose bumps. It wasn't because she had magic- everybody else had magic, and Nathan had began to control his lack of ease among those with magic auras. It was probably because of her non-nonsense, drab style. Nathan edged back a bit, careful not to trip over his skirt, towards his new friend Zelda.

Zelda smiled brightly and triumphently when she heard her new friend giggle. She loved making people feel good. She would love to be able read auras and all. It would let her know when everyone was happy and who needed cheering up.
She turned quickly at the mention of the head mistress. Her bilocated self materilized back into her in the blink of an eye. She locked her fingers in front.of her and smiled politely. She noticed her friend move closer to her and she herself shuffled closer to him as well. She gave him a quick wink before giving her attention to the head mistress.

Zeike had slunk away to the corners, feeling left out. She was never very popular, and it seemed now it was the same thing.
She sighed and turned, jumping a bit when she saw a severely burned man looking at her.
Her appeared to be grinning, but that was just the burn.
Zeike wasn't afraid of him, she'd seen plenty of things worse, and was used to this.
Her first encounter had been when she was four, and she'd woken up to find a man breathing in her face, grinning down at her. His eyes were sunken in his head, and his hands were shrived, she screamed and screamed, but her dad was out that night, and her mother was sleeping with some "help" from her pills.
"Mew." The kitty was back again, and it curled around Zeike's legs. She smiled down at it and picked it up, cradling it in her arms.
"Hello again, sweetie." She cuddled the cat to her face and smelled its fur- it was a weird habit, but she thought cats smelled good, kinda like sunshine and outside.
"I'm going to take you home when I leave, and I'll buy you outfits! I'll have to think of a name though.." She whispered to the cat, holding it close.
It blinked up at her with it's big eyes.
"Mew."

"Orientation is going to been soon right?" I ask, the Headmistress smirking. I wince as I feel what could only be compared to a lance drilling into my head. 'If you are wise you will get out of my head.' I hear the headmistress warning in her head. I grin and throw my mental wall up and I rub my temples. "I'll remember that. When is the orientation?"

Zelda blinked and looked to see Zeike all alone. She frowned and with a bat of her eyelashes, she was over beside her, another Zelda still beside her little friend. She really.needed to catch his name. She.smiled at her, "I'm really sorry for leaving you alone with just another me. That was very rude of me." Zelda bowed her head to her in a form of apology.
When she looked up, she saw and cat and her eyes widened with joy, "Oh my goodness, how cute!" Her hand hovered over the kitten's head. She looked to Zeike, waiting for a signal to suggest that she may stroke the cute little cat.

The headmistress glared at the group and stopped on the steps. "Each of you has a number on the back of your acceptance letter. Those numbers are your room numbers. Girls are not to be caught in the boys rooms and vice versa. It is getting late already and I see that some of you have been exploring. Lights out is at nine and after lights out you are allowed only in your room hall. Your rooms are all on the same hallway, so they should not be hard to find. Orientation is in the morning, each of you will have time to get settled. The rooms may be doubled if that would make you more comfortable, or you may choose to have your own room. We will see you in the morning students. Orientation is at seven." Without another word she turned and went back up the stairs, leaving the students to their own devices.

"Well, she's quite friendly."
Adaire said sarcastically before grabbing her coat.

Zeike jumped when Zelda spoke to her.
"O-Oh, go ahead, she's really friendly." She smiled at Zelda, a true smile, reaching into her eyes and lighting them up.
She held the kitty out for Zelda to hold, and the cat mewed happily.
"I'm gonna keep her. I need a name though." Zeike said, smiling wide.

Issac looked on the back of the letter. Surprisingly, there was a number. Funny, he never even noticed it before. He hoped that this was a wise decision.

He turned on his heels and went to go look for the dormitory rooms. Issac reflected on the day while he walked. It was quite eventful, even if he didn't do anything. He discovered that these... people have powers beyond that of a normal person. He wondered if he could be able to do it.

Nevertheless, he spent a bit of time, leaving the group of people discreetly, to look for the dorms. After a couple minutes and realizing he could've just looked at the map, he found the dorm. Dorm number 5.

He turned the knob and came into the room. The room was very bare and plain. A plain white wall, sparsely decorated by the occasional shelf or desk. It was very practical and fit him. He didn't mind the bareness of the room.

He dropped the bag filled with his belongings in the corner of the room and plopped down on the bed. He stared at the ceiling and contemplated his future at this school.

"Indeed. She needs to come with a warning." I scoff, rubbing my temples, glaring at the headmistress. I pull the paper out of my pocket and unfold it. In a corner of the page says room seven. "Nice and easy for me to remember. Think our uniforms are in our rooms?" I ask Adaire as I fold the paper back up and return it to my pocket. "So I say we check out our rooms and then meet back up here when we are done. Anyone else agree?"

Adaire glanced at her paper and found the number 6. "Possibly, but maybe we won't get them until tomorrow? In any case would you like to escort me to my room?" She giggled a little bit and pulled her cashmere coat back on, reveling in the comfort it brought her.

(OOC: I apologize for the confusion with me getting the wrong name!

After the headmistress had left Nathan got out his letter. The number on the back read 6...he thought. Or it could be an upside down nine. Or a misprinted 8. Numbers always confused Nathan. He decided to work it out later, then turning to Zelda, saying "My name is Nathan, by the way? What's yours? And what dorm do you have?"
