Zelda Faye bounced down the the stairs, grinning broadly like always. She thumped down on last step and ran in to the kitchen. Her mother was there at the stove, the auroma of eggs and bacon filling Zelda full of delicious happiness! She hugged her mom from behind, "Good morning Madame! What fine breakfast do I have the honor of being served to me this morning?" Zelda's mom, turned to her, showing off that wonderful grin of hers.
Zelda adored that grin. Ever since her dad passed away, things had been tough for Zelda and her mom. Zelda felt she had to be the pillar of strength. Always happy and full of energy. Then she could finally be quiet and lonely at the end of the day. Her father and other were both wonderful artists! Her mother a beautiful actress and her father was a talented painter. They both taught Zelda everything and she drank it all in. She loved her home! It was crazy and wonderful, just the way she liked it. Her family were no different. Cousins, aunts, uncles. Didn't matter which side, they were both insane!
"You sit down and it'll be a surprise." Zelda's mother winked at her and of course, Zelda ran to her seat beaming. Then her mother bit her lip and turned to her, "Oh Zelly honey, would you be a dear and go fetch the mail. I'm so so-" Zelda waved her hand as to stop her mother mid sentence, "Do not be a-feared maiden! I, Zelda Faye, shall fetch this mail of which you speak!" Zelda's mom burst out laughing and Zelda grinned. She closed her eyes and focused... Just stayed focused. She snapped her eyes open and another Zelda appereared in the hallway, skipping outside to fetch the mail while original Zelda muched down on the breakfast that her mother had set down for her then and now. Amy Faye had seen a lot of things, but her daughter was just spectacular. She embraced this strange gift that Zelda had. Never acted scared of it. Why should she be frightened? This was her daughter! Her grinning, always optimistic daughter who couldn't hurt a fly. Other Zelda came back and set the mail on the table, before returning to her orginal body.
elda was killing some bacon when she noticed a letter adressed to her. She reached across the table and took it. She opened it gingerly and read it, eyes opening wider with each sentence. She looked up at her mom, "Mom, did we enrole me in some Black Wood cademy?" Amy blinked and Zelda handed the letter to her. She read it and had the same reaction her daughter had. But then she smiled at the end. Zelda moved her head around to see the expression on her mothers face, which was concealed by the weird letter. Then, her mother put it down a grin across her face, "Why this sounds exciting Zelly! You've laways loved weird places and this sounds like just the ticket!" Zelda could feel herself grinning as well, but then she stopped and looked up at her, "But what about you? I don't want to leave you her!" Zelda cried, jumped up and hugged her mother close. Her mother sighed softly and put her arms around her, "Zelda, don't worry about me. Things have been hard since you're father passed on, but think about it! Wouldn't he want you to pursue this weird, out-of-the-blue mystery school?" Both were eye to eye now, both also teary eyed and smiling. Zelda have a salute, "OKay mom! I'll do it for you and dad!" Tears rolled down her mothers eyes, but she wiped them away. She sniffed and then clapped her hands together gleefully, "Well let's get packing!"
Zelda was here. The daunting Academy made her shiver and grin. This was better than she had imagined! It was amazing she had even survived her mothers hugs and kisses. She walked on in, her black hair blowing behind her... Damn, she thought, why didn't I just Bilocate?! I would have stayed at home with mom and go to the creepy academy! She took a deep breath and smiled, "But I'm doing this for mom and dad. Mom and dad, mom and dad, mom and dad."
She kept repeating this until she got inside. She pursed her lips and took in the decór. It was magnificent! She could have ran about the place, absorbing in the architechture, but she wanted to make a good first impression. She got her key to her room and went on a very long journey to find it. Eventually she found herself in front of her room, struggling to poke the key through the key hole while laughing, "Ha, ha! You thought you could best me, my room? You fool! No one can best me, the great Zelda Faye!" She then opened her devious room and grinned. Everything about this place was perfect... Then she saw the bed... She looked to the left slowly. She looked to the rigjht slowly. With a giant laugh, she flung herself onto the bed and giggled in pleasure as she sank into the mattress, "Oh my God, so soft!" she rolled about and then jumped up. She dismissed her luggage with a wave of her hand, "I can unpack later!" she grabbed her ekys, ran out of the room, shut the door behind her and went off exploring.
She came across a room with a few people in it and then she clammed up. Clammed up? What was wrong with her, she wasn't shy! She took a deep breath and walked into the room. She smiled at them, "Hey. It's nice to meet you. I'm Zelda Faye." Her smile got brighter. Always smile is what Amy Faye had taught her. Always smile and people will feel comfortable and bright!
