Maritime Archaeologist: Skilled diver and finder of underwater artifacts, the ability to identify trash from ancient relic.

Cartographer: Photographic memory helps Leo to always remember where he's been, and exactly how to get there again.


Notable Possessions:

Black steel cutlass: The dangers at sea and risks of being an honest merchant sometimes require the use of force, certainly only for self defense! A standard cutlass colored black, with a slight upward curve in the blade. The grip was wrapped with a gold colored wire in a spiral, the basket handguard was the same golden color. The pommel was golden too, in the shape of a roaring lion's head

Ancient compass: Worn around his neck on a small brass chain. The artifact resembles the sun, a small circular innerpiece with eight outward points and a thick needle in the middle, pointing upward. The whole thing is about the size of a fist. Believed to be a compass, though the needle never moves. This artifact was recovered from the ocean depths.



Aux: Zure- a small, fairy-like glowing aura. Her body is no bigger than an apple and seems to be made of a blue flame.

Advents:

Sonar Shriek: Zure lets out a loud shriek, sending a wave of sound out into darkness. Leo receives the reflected sound waves and can visualize the surroundings.

BioLuminescence: Zure channels energy through Leo, who emits several blinding flashes of light through his skin. The light is powerful enough to temporarily paralyze living things.

Keen eye - The ability to identify herbs, oils, and ingredients etc, used in her profession.
Deter - The natural resistance to poison, toxin and disease.
Toxic Lash - Sylecia's weapon, Rose Thorn, lashes with toxic and poisonous capabilities. Upon impact, the weapon causes searing acidic burns to the flesh which, if not treated appropriately, will eat away at the victims being.
Set the deal - Sylecia will spark a contract via a mark on the clients body. If the contract is not held, that mark will spread and the client will gradually begin to crystalise into a Jade statue. Which will later be adorned in Sylecia's garden.
Notable Possessions:
Rose Thorn - Sylecia's weapon of choice. A 12ft whip, harnessed with barbed spines down its length. Lacerations can be 3 inches deep.

Apothecary Kit - Sylecia's personal kit, used for making potions of all sorts.
Jade Arm Bracelet - Contains different toxins in each component, as well as the soul of a man she once loved in its jewels.
Poison Darts - She uses a blow gun to shoot out poison darts into her opponent.

Scouting - Via her crow Sylecia is able to discover rare and unique herbs and ingredients .
Aveho - Using her aux she is able to reverse the crystalisation process of 'Set The Deal'.

Occupation: Leader of the Black Crow Mercenary Band

Notable Skills:

Firm Footed - Kravatos is firm and brave, and it would take a lot to start making him have doubts of any of his decisions or his command

Well Known - As the leader of one of the most famous mercenary bands in Sunne, Kravatos is well known throughout the land, and this gives him a sort of respect from local officials.

Natural leader - If there's a natural leader, it's Kravatos. The man inspires subordination and knows how to treat his men in order to get the best results.

Powerful Friends - Friends in powerful places has always been of value for Kravatos, so he makes sure he retains them, or at least has them owe him some sort of debt.

Occupation: Scholar and teacher.

Notable Skills:

Conduit: Capable of drawing from sources of energy (fire is most common) to fuel spells, using his own body as a conduit. Risks physical harm if too much is drawn at once.

Spellbreaker: Intuitively able to mentally dissect the mechanics of a spell at one glance (longer study required for more complex magic).

Silvertongue: Incredibly persuasive, though whether due to charisma or innate magic is unknown.

Vault: Able to recall any piece of information he has come across, though if said information wasn't consciously remembered (something heard in passing, etc) he requires a period of focused meditation potentially hours-long to "find" it in his mindspace.

Notable Possessions: A lute that he plays with below average skill. A pentagram necklace.

Aux: A black tattoo that traces the blood vessels on the right side of his torso, stopping right above the elbow.

Advents:

Unravelling: Once said spell is studied, Xanthe can push Spellbreaker into overdrive 'unmake' it by breaking it down into its base parts and absorbing it into his Aux. Physically taxes him based on complexity and power of spell.

Compulsion: For a single minute, Xanthe is able to give commands to someone he focuses on. The commands must be simple and achievable within that minute. Works only on the weaker-minded.

-Weapons Instructor, mainly swords and dagger.

Notable Skills:
-Warrior.
An excellent fighter in both, single handed and duel wield weapons.
-Anima-lingo. He is able to understand most if not all animals he come across.
-Mentor. As said by most of his pupils, he is one easy to understand, in combat that is.
-Ghost. He is able to turn a part of him to a more ghostly form ie. he becomes more transparent and is able to pass through solid things.

Notable Possessions:
- A greatsword he had gotten from a his ex lover.
- An old piece of red cloth tied around his wrist, a symbol of his last lover.

Advents:
The Fire that burns inside... also burns in another: For a single minute, the aux can manipulate another person to aid Amelia unconditionally and willingly.

Rise from the Ashes: For a single minute, if Amelia is killed within that time, she will not actually die but begin to burn with a restoring fire, healing all her wounds, no matter how severe. Afterwards she will remain unconcioucness for a couple of hours and weakened for a few days. She will also forget the occurances of the hour before this.

Appearance: He stands about 5'7", with a very wiry frame, long red hair, and dark grey wings.

Occupation: Messenger

Notable Skills:

Heroic Flame:
A flame aura that Ariuk can summon around himself. While it is not soild, it still discourages physical blows and burns up projectiles. This can be used as an attack if he charges forward while it is activated. It takes focus and is physically draining to maintain for too long, and cannot extend past his body.

Hot Pursuit: By using the flames that he is able to magically produce, Ariuk can achieve rudimentary propulsion, increasing his flying speed immensely for a short period of time.

You Have My Oath: His intentions are pure as the driven snow. Therefore, he has a bonus to convincing lawful good types and getting those with similar outlooks to listen and be sympathetic to his pleas.

Featherstep: Whether flying or walking, Ariuk's light frame makes an almost unnaturally small amount of noise. His wings don't beat as heavily as others' and it sounds like he's sneaking about when he simply strolls.

Notable Possessions:

Arbiter: A heavy looking scythe that Ariuk is well versed in wielding. As a messenger, he needed a weapon to keep him safe during long deliveries, and he found he was best with polearms. The reach of a scythe suited him best.

Aux: A triangular, silver pendant worn around his neck

Advents:

Heroic Flame: When used in conjunction with the aux, the aura can take on a solid form, becoming a shield and making any charge attack that much more painful. Over the course of this minute, the aura can be expanded to protect others. While the solidification happens automatically, expanding still requires immense focus, meaning it must be done basically as a single action.

You Have My Oath: Beyond just being good at persuading people who have the same lawful nature as him, if he uses an advent, he can also provide a temporary boost in speed and strength, also clearing their mind of doubt, to anyone he speaks to, making it a useful tool if fighting among allies or even to convince someone that they have the courage to undertake a difficult task.

Name: Mauritius Vitis

Race: Avian - Officer Vitis' heritage remains a bit of a mystery, even to Mauritius himself: although his physical appearance, namely the overall lack of particular human features and the wings, atrophied into prehensile, vaguely human hands, would suggest a general closeness to the Anima, their social standing and long-running family history would rather hint towards a more noble origin, linking the Vitis to an Avian descent of sorts that was somewhat warped throughout the years.

Nation: Pegulis


Appearance: Mauritius stands a few heads shorter than the average human, due to his somewhat unique posture and the slight bending of his knees. His plumage is predominantly white and, amongst its many perks, allows for the young noble to get away with his notable lack of pants.

Notable Skills:
Soar like my ancestors - When under heavy physical strain, Mauritius is capable of quickly hovering over relatively brief distances through the use of simple but highly specialized magic. Although it activates almost naturally while in combat, in other situations this is generally achieved by Mauritius flapping wildly his arms up and down, in a grotesque and laughable imitation of avian flight. As one can tell by the procedure required, Mauritius resorts to using this technique only in the most dire of situations, as the shame would be too great to bear otherwise...

Off a duck's back - Mauritius is an amazing swimmer, second only to those that actually inhabit the oceans and the rivers when in the water. As a bonus, he is surprisingly buoyant, allowing him survive on water almost indefinitely, and shares a great affinity with water magic in general.

Friends in high places - Although their relevance in the many political games of the Republic has significantly shrunk throughout the years, the Vitis are an old and respected family with a significant number of minor connections in the places that matter, and Mauritius is no stranger to making use of old family friendships in order to tug at a few fastidious strings that need pulling.

Noble education - Far from being the primary heir to the family fortunes, Mauritius has nevertheless received a full education worthy of an Avian of his standing, significantly more than what an unfortunately large number of the citizens of Pegulis can claim to have received. These studies have covered a wide range of fields, from Literature, Music and Accounting to Aether Theory and Fencing, though Mauritius knows of these subjects only at a fairly basic level (with the significant exception of the latter-most).


Notable Possessions: A pendant displaying his family crest in addition to the standard, Watch-required mirror, along with standard-issue Aldus Watch armor and weaponry (halberd, dagger, fully-equipped light crossbow) and his own personal rapier.


Aux: An ancient coin, its face almost entirely worn from age, embedded safely within the hilt of his rapier.

Advents:

Enlightened
(Noble Education) - By tapping fully into his own knowledge, Mauritius can greatly elevate his prowess within a single one of his many fields of study once per day over the span of no more than an hour, bringing himself to a level of skill comparable (but never superior) to actual professionals within said field.

Like water (Off a duck's back) - Over the span of a single minute, Mauritius is entirely unaffected by any of the drawbacks of being underwater, be it temperature, lack of air or slower movements.

~Working with Little: The ability to cook, create splints, ect. with only what's on hand.

Aux: Airmid the Brown bear

Advents:
~Deep healing: At the cost of her own well being (mentally or physically) Kestrel can heal deep wounds. Success depends on other outliers, and is sometimes entirely futile. If she cannot find and heal the cause within a minute, then the effects of the advent have failed.
~Airmid's Instincts: For one minute, Kestrel will instinctual go in the direction of to either 1.) Safety or 2.) A goal (i.e. end of a maze). Her self-assured nature and internal compass will compell others around her or in her current party to follow.

Race: Anima | Toadman

Occupation: Steward of Dorograd

Notable Skills
Toadbreath - Hayr can hold his breath underwater for up to ten minutes, due to the exchange of cuteaneous gas through his skin while underwater. Of course, the science of the whole thing is unknown to him.

Wartsense - Despite his fat stature and waddling pace, Hayr possesses incredible reflexes, spatial awareness, and is always alert. He is constantly anxious due to this, however, and uncontrollably croaks when overtaken by fear.

Lashtounge - Hayr possesses an adhesive tounge that unfolds from the front of his mouth, able to stretch up to three feet away. He primarily uses it to catch food - a survival tool that is often a mere novelty to the fat and pompous steward of Dorograd.

Leapfrog - Being a toad, Hayr possesses considerable hidden strength in his legs. Outside of his armor, he can leap up to 20 meters away. In his (fitted) armor, he can leap up to 10 meters away.

Notable Possessions:
1. Suit of ornamental platemail belonging to the city of Dorograd, it represents his office and rank.
2. Steel polehammer belonging to the city of Dorograd, it is his secondary symbol of office and rank.
3. Countless tax records, notes on trade, and documents pertaining to the shipment of Dorograd's metal throughout the empire.
4. His personal carriage, made out of flexible and sturdy metal, somewhat famous for the fact that it carries a bath of water and springwater storage in the covered cabin. This is nessecary for his survival in the deserts of Kaustir, and takes offense when people see it as a sign of decadence and wealth.

Aux: Hayr grew from a tadpole into an anima toad. His aux grew alongside him from a tadpole into a real, actual toad.

Advents:

A note on Hayr's advents. He cannot trigger any of them at command.

Overdrive - Hayr's aux, when sensing danger or uncertainty in his crux, will kick up Hayr's reflexes to inhuman levels for up to a full minute. Afterwards he becomes sluggish and tired for up to five hours.

Evil Eye - Hayr's ability to leap is augmented substanially, and can hone in on a specific spot a substantial distance away from him. Outside of his armor he can leap up to 100 meters away, and in his armor he can leap up to 50 meters away. Hayr's aux will only use this in the most dire of situations, due to the potential for injury when landing.

Occupation: Calligrapher/Cartographer/Scribe, employed under Hayr Horne.

Notable Skills:

Lifework: Obsessed with mapping, Moroth has become extremely adept at anything involving a quill.

Wroth Biology: Survives off nutrients gathered in water, its stomach is mainly filled with a wound up cord of barbed tentacles that can be released through the mouth, and her eyes see the world tinged in a faint purple with bright red representing various levels of heat.

Spelunker: Great at spelunking and is naturally at home living in caves.

Friend of the dark: Moroth has had to avoid various predators lining the cave system of Dorgrad and thus has learned how to hide in dark places.

Notable Possessions: 1. A hip strapped satchel containing a quill, ink, paper, and several leaflets of paper.

Aux: Her shadow

Advents:

Where You Haven't Been (Lifework): Moroths Aux suddenly imbues her with knowledge of a location she hasn't been and she can accurately map it out, including small details like guard locations, treasure rooms,passwords, and things she really shouldn't know. This lasts exactly one minute.

Become One (Friend of the dark): Moroth merges with her aux and becomes a shadow, for one minute.

Once a day, for one minute, she can use her Aux:
Manifold: able to release up to two arrows at once, doubling the amount shot in one minute (roughly 32 per minute) however, accuracy decreases 10-20% (60-70% accuracy)

Blind Spot: now, she can not only find quality material, but also find weak spots in non-living things (such as armor) – she has no peripherals during, and can be left temporarily blinded after
