Aach-Ti took another strike at the ship, this time severely damaging the engines. the smoke was sucked into the vacuum of space and could clearly be seen from the outside as Ansel tore the second turret off of the ship.
Ansel noticed the battle going on in the distance, one ship in particular caught his attention. It seemed... familiar.
For a while it kept his attention, up till threee one man fighters approached the Metal Bird. Flying faster then their equipment could track, he cracked through the first fighter, without getting hit once by their incoming fire. They turn around to chase Ansel.
As Kallard knew he had the ship under his control he returnee to his roots as a soilder,
"Sek, prepare the bording units. Sara, your with me! Ansel, watch for enemy crafts! Aach-Ti, keep on Overwatch!" He nearly leaped ut ofthe co pilot seat, grabbed a modern Federation assult rifle and pistol, then marched down to the bording pipes. Sara joined him sortly and asked,
"You so worried about what's in there, over outside?"
"Your brother and Sek are a decent countermeasure to anything that might attack us. Besides, this is the only ship that's been attacking us."
With a shrug, she started glowing a magenta hue, and the doors open. Sek informed the pair as they entered,
"The oxygen levels inside the enemy craft are stable and plentiful enough for you two to be in there, however I would advise caution regardless."
"Roger." Kallard reached to theoxygen mask container next to the boarding pipe entrance, and placed the mask over himself. He took a look at Sarah,
"You'll want to be careful just in case." He added as he tossed a spare mask to her. Sarah reluctantly strapped on a mask onand the two of them made their way inside.
Moments before they reached the inside of the enemy ship through its access port that Kallard open for the boarding, the power for the enemy craft was turned off,
"Hey soldier guy, from my readings he has an old school late 21st century reactor in his ship. I think he just severed the power in there. Probably trying to keep you out of the systems."
"I gathered."
Kallard responded, with his rifle in the ready position. Sara was much more relaxed, still glowing. With the boarding pipes now held open Kallard peaked around the corner, as Sara matched past him,
"Agent! Be more careful! You don't know what's in here!"
"Oh relax, I've been hit with bullets, explosions, Ansel, I think I got what ever this guy can give us."
"You don't know that! Now get back here!"
She groaned and waited for Kallard to enter and catch up. They moved onwards together through the first corridor. Forward and to the right didn't yeild anything different from the other, but Kallard chose to move forward regardless, checking each nook and cranny their was as he moved, Sara following close behind him.
While moving, he discovered a laser on the ground, acting as a trip wire. He hovered his arm in front of Sara for aoment before pointing it out. He then scilently lowered himself to examine the laser,
"This will take me a moment to disable."
"It's just one laser."
"See those small circles on the wall here, here and there? All ports for trip laseres. Who ever this is, he wasn't prepared for some one who knows security systems as well as I do. Sloppy or arogent I say."
"Wait, how is this thing still on if the reactor was cut off?"
"They are likely miniature wall mounted mines. Don't worry, I'll have them off in a second."
It took him a few moments to disable the Mines, but he succeeded with little effort on his part. Stalling him more than anything else.
They moved through the hallway and could hear someone running echoing through the hallway on to the left. Sara charged after him and shouted,
"I got em!" before she lifted herself off the ground, a large pulled her backwards by the shoulder,
"Damn it Sara! Be careful! You nearly set of that massive mine right there!"
Kallard pointed out the bowling ball sized mine with a painful obvious light above it
"Well...I knew that..."
Kallard didn't feel the need to roll his eyes.
"Move over it slowly, and it won't go off. It was designed to destroy high speed vehicles moving at the very least of five miles an hour. I've seen these things get used back in the Terabis galaxy. This guy is probably Culrulian if he uses tech like that."
The two walked past the mine, and it continued to beep as normal. When they turned to corner, a blue and sparkling mass of energy nearly struck Kallard as he moved behind the corner the man ran to. He hid behind the wall again and motioned for his partner to move in. She cracked a smile and simply walked past him.
With every bolt of blue energy that flew by it's either was repelled by Sara's energy, or flew past her and struck the wall behind them. With the shooters attention preoccupied, Kallard returned fire. While barely able to see the silhouette, he did manage to suppress the target at the very least. In a flash she threw a bolt of magenta energy to the shooter. The silhouetted shooter ran off again, with Sara in pursuit. Before Kallard couldbscold her a third time, she brought the man back, and threw him on the wall.
"Cht'aga, suni varoumotonm! Korak so toma!"
"Aach-Ti what did he say?"
"I...am unsure. His thoughts are sheilded, I belive to be from an artifact of some sort."
"Close, law man."
As he finishes his sentence, several a large explosions tore apart the upper deck of the ship. The group could here the boarding pipe failing to keep itself attached. With that, the armored man took advantage of the surprise, kicking Sara across the jaw, and uses his rocket boots to jettison himself to another room. Sara recovered from the strike and turn to chase the unknown man.
