Agents of Galactic Standstill

  • So many newbies lately! Here is a very important PSA about one of our most vital content policies! Read it even if you are an ancient member!
If you are going to let the ship go I am more then willing not to write out some useless rping when The ship is about to come my way, Ill just meet it at the edge of my system thank you xD

Okay, I think this is going to be the least messy way to bring everyone together. I honestly wasn't sure if we'd get to this point but not knowing is half the fun. :D

Gat, keep in mind that if you decide to pursue, at full FTL capacity you will arrive a good seven minutes ahead of the Illusive Hand. You can certainly go slower if you'd like, or give the freighter a head start before following at normal FTL speed, or just show up ahead of time too. I'll leave that up to you!

With that though, I am headed to bed. I have tomorrow off though, whee! :D Goodnight erryone~

I'm glad Insomnant tagged me when they did. Sorry fellas! I never got any alerts OR any e-mails that any of these thread were being updated! I just recently checked them now, because I restarted all of my tabs. I'll start out a reply right now, or maybe just read it over and then write my reply on my drive into rehearsal tomorrow (it's about an hour... and there's library wifi next to our building!) and I'll most likely have it up before 2 at the earliest, and past 6 at the latest.

I had Ana preparing to jump in my last post as is, I'll give the good captain some lead time and then jump in after he's arrived.

Are the avatars holograms or robots? I'm a little confused.

Think of them as... physical holograms. Their bodies are created out of programmable nanomaterial so their appearance and clothing is completely customizable, but they do have working (synthetic) brains. Remember, they were created to let the Nebula ships think like humans, and to do so requires a lifelike brain.

As far as how accurate the simulacrum is, I'll leave that to each person.

There is no time to explain what is going onto these smugglers! There are people dying! D: Now I am glad I kept the tractor beam, its so useful <3

Now off to work!

Poor Sergio, I bet this day is just doing his head in. :p

Edit: Hums innocently... >.>

It would be at this point Horizon has what we human call a heart attack lol

Ha, you guys are hilarious. xD I'm still at work, I'll post an IC response once I get home. I'm looking forward to how this plays out. :3

Also wondering how long till hostilities with the rest of the Nebula fleet begin, hehe~

Also @Dip, you still around? :P

I have more immediate concerns, like which of the other four is going to take a shot at me first in order to keep their secret :p

Ayako's fortunately not the "shoot first" type.

You've got shields, you'll be fine. :D

The Moment Horizon thinks the group could stop you from jumping aka Makoto get closer to you. Horizon probably will shoot you.

Yea its the two jumpy destroyers that are behaving erratically that concern me most, I might have a shot at Mokoto in a one on one fight as she's built for range and I'm set up for close in fighting. Really don't need Horizon shooting at me though.

That said so long as I can take a hit or two and not get snared by that tractor beam I can outrun the lot of you. Ana really does put the Fast in Fast Strike Frigate.

As an aside: if I remade Ana she would probably have been a cruiser/carrier with a corvette hanger and a wing of interceptors. I like the scrappy little runts, but when not playing those I like pet classes. :bsmile:

By the way everyone, when having your character use their communications, please do try to specify who they are addressing. You can communicate with specific ships, multiple ships, or on open channels (so everyone can hear).

I went off the assumption that Ana and Ayako are communicating on a private channel for now, so the humans weren't privy to their communication, now were the others in their battlegroup.

I am REALLY enjoying this roleplay. I especially am loving Captain Rukh! <3 Everything is about to fall into catastrophe or turn out really well. It all depends on if we end up fighting Ana and if she escapes out of system.

Makoto is practically out of commission, so she's unable to stop Ana if she tries to jump. Good luck, ladies!

Hee, that's great to read! :3 On both accounts~

I have to admit, I didn't have his character planned out at all when I wrote my first post. I just put in two names and then I was like 'hmm, I should go back and really fill in who those names were.' And then as I was writing him I was like, I want to combine some aspects of L from Death Note with Grand Admiral Thrawn (though not nearly as good as either, of course xD).

This has been an interesting experiment in coming up with characters on the spot. And I try to alter my phraseology based on the point of view I'm writing from at the time. I don't know if anyone's noticed it, but Sergio thinks in smuggling and space-based terms, whereas Serunk mostly coaches things in volcanic/fire paradigms. It's been quite fun coming up with alternative sayings to properly fit the two's perspectives!

And as for how this turns out, I'm thinking... it might soon be time for a mutual enemy to come along and unite the anomalous ships against the perfection-enforcing arm of the Nebula Fleet's version of the Inquisition. :3

Maybe a heavy battlecruiser and a large carrier of some sort, with smaller escorts? Of course, the ships could always run away but then the freighter would surely be destroyed, which would not only doom Lythios Minor to a slow, agonizing death buuut also deny any chance they might have of finding out more about Charity. Hmm... I do think I've just convinced myself of the next plot point. xD

Plus maybe having an enemy to rally against will stir Makoto out of her angst. ^_~

Angst is a powerful thing, my good friend. Though a key part of her personality is preserving her own life.
