Please speak up if there is something that you do not like, or notice so that I can hopefully fix it, I am not that good of a writer so I wont care.

[BCOLOR=transparent]Name:[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]Zandrouge[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]"Zanders" or "Zandairan"[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Home-World:[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]Bazira, moon of the planet Galrose [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Appearance:[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]The Zandrouge are a rather tall, thin species, males standing at the average adult height of 8ft, with a weight of approximately 165 lbs, and the adult females at a height of 6.6ft and 150 lbs. Their skin is smooth and with a slight leathery feel to it and a pale grey color. They have two set of arms, each with 3 fingers and a thumb, along with horns coming from the tops of the heads males and spines along the backs of the females. Their legs are long and very powerful, their feet having three "toes", one of which being opposable, allowing them to grasp uneven ground for better climbing steep slopes. Long lizard-like tails help them keep balance while moving, seeing as their upper bodies are usually heavier than their lower. Their thin bodies are mostly built for speed, efficient climbing, and crawling through narrow tunnels, once being a subterranean species, but as the inhabitants from the planet Galrose developed advanced technology and explored the moon Bazira, that orbits Galrose, they have become more open towards other races, but their subterranean attributes still exist, such as their excellent hearing and sight while in extreme darkness, their eyes also naturally able to glow very faintly in the dark. Unfortunately, after centuries of living underground, they have become sensitive to direct light other than the light from their eyes, making even minimal exposure damaging to their bodies, so in order to travel, they wear skin tight suits to protect themselves from light, yet allowing them to keep their swift movement speed. Very few outsiders have actually seen a Zander's face, for being anywhere but in absolute darkness, they will always be wearing some type of protective gear. The front piece of their helmets are covered with a type of one-way glass-like material that doubles as a screen, which emotions can be displayed upon, though connections to their nervous system. They are usually ambidextrous in both pairs of hands and have a very strong grip. They have a great sense of balance, but will become nearly immobile without a tail. To other Zanders, they can communicate by gestures from their tails and lower arms, but usually seem like involuntary, movements to outsiders.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Culture/Population/Reproduction:[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]In older times Zandarian lived in tightly secured colonies anywhere between 1,000 - 2,000,000 each with its own head court that negotiates interactions with outside people, each of these courts had main representative that can call meetings with the other courts to organize themselves as a whole race. Zanders are still a rather passive race, willing to share both land and resources to avoid major conflict. They never had much religious beliefs, their culture is one that had strives towards discovery and space travel, a trait that had existed for many centuries and has an unknown origins. [/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]The average lifespan of an average Zander is about 250 earth years, old age often causing slower reactions throughout the body and eventually causing paralysis when older than 230. To avoid this slow descent into complete immobility, as for lack of swiftness and good reflexes is shamed upon in their culture, many become reckless and irrational at 200, often doing extremely dangerous activities, not caring about their own lives in a almost suicidal manor. Zanders reproduce similarly to humans often producing 2-4 offspring in a lifetime, but their culture is generally against making any signs of romance public, besides legal marriages which they picked up from human culture as a way to identify romantic couples in a civil manner. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Home-World Description: [/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]The moon of Bazira gets very little sunlight, most being blocked off by Galrose, but some species, such as the Zanderouge have adapted to survive without it, being able to live without any external sources of heat and feeding off of other small creatures and plant life that live in the caves Bazira. They can also survive with very little oxygen, and survive up to 3 months without food. Bazira is currently filled with holes that lead to intricate tunnels and underground homes and buildings. On the surface, there is the main Galrose research center. It's massive size and accessibility has drawn many Zanders to live there, leaving the tunnels and underground cities of Bazira rather empty and lifeless.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Background:[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]They were first discovered by natives of Galrose, who agreed to have peace between the Zanders and the early alliance. Overshadowed by Galrose, Bazira was relatively overlooked and as the humans had begun to settle in the area, Bazira became more of a rest stop and immigration area, where the crews on long journeys and colonies migrating to new planets would rest and refuel, the Zander's extending hospitality to the humans, for the presence of them on the surface did not interfere with the workings below. Eventually, Zandairan scientists became highly interested with the scientific advancements of the Human Empire and many had begun to support the collaboration with humans in the technological field, many entering the basic human workforce in order to get higher into the ranks just to get a glimpse of what discoveries had been made. As the empire fell, the Zanders had begun to salvage any information that the humans had, this inspired them to put most resources in the advancement of technology and aspire to create tech that the humans once had. This dream greatly changed their culture, bringing many Zandairan immigrants to travel among other planets, studying the knowledge of other cultures and species much like how they did with the humans. Zanders have now joined the alliance and are seen as the base working force of Galrose, they run most of the technological and research development sectors of the Galrose Alliance, but also have a prominent presence in the military due to their knowledge of different species and how their machinery operates.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Name:[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]Ar-Kesh[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]"The Kesh" or "Arken"[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Home-world:[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]Galrose[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Species Appearance:[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]The Ar-Kesh are a colony insect-like species slightly resembling terrain ants with a blue-ish green coloring, most of which being males that stand approximately 6ft tall with a weight of 100lbs with bodies divided into 4 sections; head, thorax, abdomen, and minor thorax. They have a total of 10 limbs, 6 of which being primary limbs, two pairs of legs and a pair of arms, the other 4 secondary, dual jointed limbs, about half the size of their arms are located under under their primary arms along the sides of their thorax, these are equipped with small pincers for clinging onto surfaces while climbing. Their primary arms also have two joins and are able to rotate all the way around with ease, at the end of their primary arms, their hands have two opposable appendages along with three non-opposable ones. The Kesh's legs are located on the last section of their bodies, the thorax minor, a section that sits at a bit of an angle at the end of the body. Their legs have 3 joints, the back legs acting much like that of a cricket's, being able to absorb shock quite well, allowing them to jump quite high at a maximum of 17 ft and survive falls from twice as high, and the front ones providing extra stability while moving. The lower sections of their limbs have small fibers that cling to surfaces, allowing them to climb/crawl in any direction. They have antennae on their heads which allow them to communicate to each other within a 2 mile radius and small "fangs" on the bottom section of their mouths, that can produce a venom that causes full body paralysis in high amounts. The Kesh also possess a pair mandibles, one on each side of their mouth side of their mouth that also produce the same venom. Their four, narrow eyes are usually appear to be fully red or yellow, with a faint appearance of a pupal.[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]The Female Kesh are much larger in size, the average at about 7.3ft tall and weighing about 150lbs, with a larger abdomen and primary limbs, although they lack the fangs and secondary arms that the males have, the females have thorns along the back of their legs and head, a pair of large wings on their backs replacing the secondary arms, along with a more deadly venom, causing the infected areas to slowly decay.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Culture/Population/Reproduction:[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]The Kesh believe in monarchy, only following the naturally born queen who dictates their action as a whole. The queen was chosen through a battle to the death between the Kesh females the day after the previous queen had perished, the one who proved to be the most powerful was determined to be the new queen. Their species thrived for large colonies, and battling anyone who would oppose their queen, the only way they would surrender was if their queen was killed, then, if it was another Kesh colony, they would submit to the queen of that colony, and if it wasn't and they could not appoint a new one within a day, they would simply start to disperse, eventually dying off on their own or finding a new colony. The Kesh mostly work buy hoarding food within their own colony and expanding their territory. As of late, there has been only one Kesh colony left known at the moment, known as the Final Arkan Empire. This "Empire" had joined the Galrose Alliance as a way to prevent the fall of their species and further the expansion of their queen's reign.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Ar-Kesh live very great in numbers as a way to make up for their rather weak bodies, a single colony having an average occupancy of 12 million and the Empire having over 10 billion Kesh in it's control. An average Arken male lifespan is about 40 Earth years, and the females able to live for as long as 130 years. The Kesh have a type of external reproduction, and they do not believe in any form of romance or formal couples or pairings, males usually compete in tests of loyalty, bravery, and strength to determine which ones would have which females, often judged by the queen, who doesn't usually participate in any mating practices more than two times in a lifetime apposed to the usual five. Kesh offspring are usually born in groups of 10 of 60 possible eggs, all offspring being raised separate from their parents, almost never even finding out whom they were born form and only knowing what siblings they have. Young are usually considered fully grown within 4-5 months, some may stay inside colony territory to increase intelligence, but many leave quickly to begin their service to the colony. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Home-world Description:[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]Galrose is a very large and diverse planet, being about the size of Neptune, containing large marches, plains, forests, deserts, and canyons, all filled with diverse life forms, one of which being the Ar-Kesh, living mostly in Galrose's thick, rainforest-like marshes, extremely rich with oxygen that is believed to be the cause for the growth of an insect race. The Kesh are mainly omnivorous along with being a decomposing species, being able to eat almost anything that is of once was alive. They survived by climbing, hiding within the large marsh trees and stockpiling food to prevent starvation. The marshes of Galrose are filled with towering trees and many different types of predators, to conquer these predators that often out-sized the Kesh, they would all attack at once, simply overwhelming their foes, a battle tactic that is still very common among the Kesh. Eventually, the Kesh have begun building large fortresses to protect their colonies whose ruins are found in great numbers within the mashes, these fortresses were very resistant and their designs are also still present in many Alliance battle ships designed by the Kesh. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Background:[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]The Kesh despised the Human Empire, seeing it as a threat to their way of life, and avoid the humans at all costs. Colonies that had foolishly battles the humans were wiped out quickly and it's people usually agreeing to work as a lower class as a way of forfeiting their pride. As the Human Empire had begun to fall, the Arken colonies that still existed fought the humans, claiming their land and weaponry as their own. This weaponry was dismantled and recreate by the Kesh, unfortunately sacrificing much of it's power, but allowing the Kesh to be evenly matched with the other natives of Galrose in technology. As the Kesh had begun to wage war against each other once again, one colony had joined the Alliance of Galrose with the promace to join if they emerged victorious, which they eventually did. Now, many of the Ar-Kesh make up the base workforce and armies of Galrose, all still following the orders of the queen, who represents the Kesh in the alliance, which in return protect the queen from any that may prove to be a treat to the Kesh.[/BCOLOR]

Military Description:

The Colonial Military is almost completely comprised of their navy. The Children have absolutely no infantry or cavalry divisions, though they do boast some of the best assassins and spies in the known galaxy, assisted by advanced drone technology, and, of course, their famous poisons, and their intelligence community is highly skilled and equipped.

Navy Description:

The Colonial Navy consists of a single, enormous starship, the Sea-Spere, and it's multitude of fighters, bombers and other small utility ships such as support freighters and transport shuttles.

Ship Descriptions:

Sea-Sphere: 3857 meters in diameter. WIP

Ponds: A general name for any number of different size and shape of transport, freighter and carrier housed by the Sea-Spere.

Puddles: Puddles support the much more numerous Rain-Drops, drawing fire by simultaneously acting as mobile artillery, armor and bulwark. Though reasonably speedy while in space, the craft lacks the thrusters to escape orbit, and thus is unable to enter a planets atmosphere. Ponds are spherical, generally between 9 to 12 meters in diameter. The craft are fitted with four prehensile turret arms that extend from the top, bottom and both sides of the ship. The turrets sport coil cannons from 50 mm all the way up to long range, high impact 90 mm guns.

Rain-Drops: The only non-spherical ships in the Colonial navy, the countless Rain-Drops aboard the Sea-Sphere both serve as the dreadnaught's strike force and first line of defense, able to be immediately scrambled in the event of an attack. The Rain-Drop, unlike the Puddle or the Sea-Sphere, is able to enter and escape the atmosphere of most planets, and is even equipped with landing gear. From tip to tail the Rain-Drop measures just 3 meters in length, and lacks armor of any note, but boasts a superior thrust and speed compared to most other fighters, as well as considerable maneuverability. The fighter sports twin multi-directional 31mm coilgun turrets that stow away on either side of the craft.

Droplets: When traveling on other planets or starships, Children utilize a very small form of aircraft known as a Droplet. The Droplet, unlike the Rain-Drop, is perfectly spherical, apart from two small protrusions on either side which house small rotors. Like all craft used by the Children, it is filled with water, and provides a comfortable, if cramped, temporary living space for them while away from home. The small spheres range from utilitarian vehicles just under one meter in diameter, to luxury models a few meters in diameter. From their sleek hulls many small drones and utility arms can sent out to manipulate and interact with the environment, and can even be outfitted with weaponry, though this is rare.

Species Application

Species Name: "Brilliant-Children-of-Expanse", also known colloquially/disparagingly as "Children", "Kids" and "Mollusks". In casual conversation, they themselves usually modify the title to either "The Brilliant" or "Those-of-Expanse", though the former is usually seen as pompous, even among their own kind.

Species Appearance:
The Children are a highly advance form of sea mollusk from the planet Expanse, having evolved as the only sapient species in the solar system. The Species grows from about 30 to 50 centimeters long, with the males being about the same size as the females. Early in the life of their species, they set themselves apart by making many evolutionary adjustments to their originally rudimentary form. First, they branched out their single foot into many dexterous arms and tentacles; eight arms are used for manuveuring and manipulation, while two longer tentacles are mainly used for eating.
The species' next development was innarrguably it's most important; an amazing ability to change color and shape at will, in a wide array of pigments and forms. This at first allowed them to become amazing camoflauge artists, but, eventually, allowed them to create a form of communication that still lasts to this day as their only form of conversation, a form of body/written language using their bodies as the canvass. Forming various textures and and projecting brilliant displays of changing colors, they were able to eventually formulate a language that allowed them to intelligently communicate with each other for the sake of organization, further increasing their stature on their world.

Species Culture:
As they became more and more intelligent, the Children-of-Expanse developed an affinity for seeking out and harnessing different poisonous plants and animals in order to extract the poisons for the use of hunting and defense. With the proliferation of small poisoned barbs as a defense against larger predators and the eventual advent of "poison camoflauge", the act of disguising oneself as a poisonous creature by flashing bright yellows and reds on a black background, the Children finally secured their place as their worlds indisputably dominant species.

((WIP))
(This species draws a lot of inspiration from earth's Cephalopods, especially Cuttlefish.)
Reproduction/Population:

Their life expectancy is about 19, with the oldest on record reaching the age of 23. WIP

If anyone knows how iwaku autoscales images, I'd love it if you could fill me in so I can fix my suns' blackbody curves. So much science to do. :)
Also I considered having a graph comparing both stars but Home A is so much brighter than Home B that it would make no sense to do so.

@Asuras
The Ilhouli Kingdoms are accepted, the New World System will be added to the map within the hour. You already know how I feel, you set the standard here.

@CheekyBeretta
The Era Cyere Dominion is accepted. This reminded me of the kind of nation I would usually make. I do think there is a heavy saturation of high-tech energy weaponry here. So while you are accepted, I would recommend you tone it down a little or come up with a little something to counter that. The Gemane System will be added to the map shortly. Also, you are in a position where you could have pre-existing ties with the Kophori if you choose.

@Captain Wumbo
Alright bud, there are a number of things I need to assess here. The entirety of your post is difficult to read, full of poor grammar, spelling mistakes, and it looks like you relied heavily on spellcheck. Take a moment to re-read what you posted out loud and you might notice the problems. For a NS and for the writing of my roleplay, I want quality over quantity, you typed allot, but it's hard to read or understand at all.

The writing level for this is Intermediate leaning towards adept. I hate to say it, but if you have a hard time with something like a NS, you might not be suited for this RP. But I'm willing to give you a chance, but before I review your sheet again, it needs to be heavily edited. That's not to mention the other problems I spotted in the application; Arguis is a terrestrial world the size of Jupiter, something that is essentially impossible. You list trade with other galaxies despite the fact that this RP takes place in only a very small part of one galaxy and contact with other galaxies was not even possible by Imperial standards. Your tech and society is over-powered, your people seem to be over powered as well.

If you are willing to re-do everything and maintain a higher level of posting, I'll await your edits.

My running list of WIP applications is as follows:
@Asinis
@GonzoB.
@Naberius
@Zeroisdead

Let me know if I missed anyone or if your application is ready.

The Celestial Horizon is accepted, I love the level of detail and look forward to your creative take on a nation.

Home, as well as the other two systems have been added to the Sector Map.
The Archives have also been updated with tech and I might add some images in a little bit.

@GonzoB.
I want players to create their own system, so come up with something creative. Named systems on the map already have things there. And trust me, Vigil is one of the last places you would ever want to be.

I'll tone them down some, no issues there.

Interested, but I have a few questions and concerns:

1) I'm not seeing the reasoning behind the restriction on energy-based weaponry. If you pause and firmly evaluate the sheer difficulty associated with intergalactic space travel, logic dictates that a civilization that has the capacity to traverse the stars with such impunity should have the technical ability to produce viable energy weapons. Contrary to widespread misconception, energy weapons could be a useful class of military weapon; an adequate power source is the only real thing that's hindering their development and implementation (not to mention their scalability), and they wouldn't be some sort of doomsday weapon type that would completely overshadow customary chemically-propelled weaponry.

2) The sever numerical restriction on space-based warships. What's the justification for this?

EDIT: Doesn't matter. Interest withdrawn.

Not to speak for the Captain here, but I believe the rational is that we are fledgling star-farers, and our ships are a somewhat recent development.

Now, as for the reason behind the decision, I think it's a simple balancing tool for the game.

I think the same applies for energy weapons, but you do make a good argument for their implementation.

Well said, thank you.

Not everyone may be happy with restrictions, but I don't want to start people off without any hardships.

Life in space is not easy.

Hey man, i'm pretty much done. My species and Nation are on page two of this thread.
I'll take a look and place judgement in a few hours maybe.

I would say I'm pretty much done. I may add to the technology/military bit later, but my brain is fried at the moment. Any (polite, well-meaning) opinions are appreciated.

Hey guys, this is Kamina I just changed my username to one I use on another site. But one thing I ask, please don't call this a girl name, -_- it's Russian so thanks and I'll be on later. :D

The Republic of Toa is accepted, a wonderfully creative race and a very detailed species.
The Rimic System will be added to the map shortly.

The Geliflec Collective is also accepted. It may be a difficult one to RP, but I'm intrested to see how you do it.
The Shalfril System will also be added to the map.

    "God's Children."
    Or just Escarians.

    Species Appearance:

    The Escarians are a strong race with a humanoid like shape and form. But unlike humans do they have inborn lines etched upon their faces, neck, chest and arms. These lines, as well as their four small eyes constantly glow with a weak light. Black for males, and white for females. The main difference from humans however, is their face and the fact they don't have a stomache like humans. Instead of a nose, they have two rills.

    The Escarians are humanoids only in shape and form, but have a much stronger overall build. Mostly due to their various and extreme experiments throughout the generations. Radiation and chemicals have ruined this once beautiful race, and you will now see that many of the Escarians use robot parts instead of limbs. That said, only the lowest of the Escarians are forced to leave their skin rot away, as both the middle and upper classes have 'adapted' the brutal environment. Huge part of their knowledge is stored in massive datacenters, allowing them to share research and development among each other. Thus, brain implantation are favored but remain a risky business. Their skin is burned and very sensitive to light. The four small eyes, planted above two rills make their nose, are pitch black allowing view of darker surroundings. Their mouths is filled with sharp teeth, as they only eat meat.

    The Kronaian Imperium
    "War never never comes alone"

    Government:
    Theocracy
    The Escarian people is ruled by their most holy figure, the leader which hold the key to the datacenters.
    The key is passed down to the chosen one once the holder dies, but selected among the wisest of the Escarians.
    The men who select the divine leader, is the Council of Clerics. All which hold important positions in the glorious Imperium. Below them are the Lords, Counts and Magisters. Title is something you earn, but in most cases inherit.

    Lords rule cities, Counts rule smaller pieces of land and Magisters are the scientists and makers of knowledge.

    Class System:
    Upper class
    Rich and powerful, the upper class can afford their own laboratories or large homes. They also have the best electronic implants. All the important titles are found in the upper class.

    Middle class
    Workers, scientists, scholars and so on. The middle class is the largest class.

    Lower class
    Poor and always on the edge of death, the lower class live in the outskirt of any major city. Not many of them can get protection for the heavy radiation.

    Ideologies:

    The Kronaian Imperium is a mix between religious zealotry, militarism, technological research and expansionism.
    Religion do not limit their technological advancement, but instead encourage new research. For the Escarians, it would be a sin not to discover and try out new stuff, even if nature pays the price. Meanwhile the military have been pressing forward, causing the mix between militarism and expansionism.
