The Geliflec Collective
Government
The Geliflec share a collective conscience or 'hive mind' and rule is non-elective. Essentially the Geliflec race is a super organism that is split into separate 'organs' or 'parts' and individuals are born into their role. Each planet inhabited by the Geliflec contains one Hive Brain; a single individual born with the processing power to perceive and decide which problems or challenges must be overcome to better the race. Once a problem has been identified the Brain transmits it to the colony Nodes. Nodes, are specialist more numerous versions of the Brain. Each city on any given planet contains a single Node, which is responsible for deciding who, if anyone, in their colony is suitable for the given task and then delegating responsibilities appropriately.
Leader
There are no single leaders in the The Geliflec Collective. Each time a new planet is colonized a select diversity and number of individual are sent; One newly born Brain, One Brood Queen, one node, and enough individuals to populate a single city. The brains 'rule' separately but follow an exact set of instinctual rules compared to other brains. Separate brains will coalesce in times of extraplanetery war, great internal strife, and to share materials. A council is also held every twenty years in times of peace to share new technologies and governance insights.
Ideologies
Survival and Expansion. Geliflec ideologies are instinctual, a natural part of their psychology and are represented by the Doctrine of Survival and Expansion. Every action and decision made by the Geliflec is made in compliance with the doctrine, no matter what the cost. The doctrine always will be and always has been the one purpose of the Geliflec Collective.
Misc
Life-span varies amongst the Geliflec the lowest being one hundred years for general workers to almost five hundred years for Brains and Brood Queens. The spoken language has no name and can only be spoken by the Geliflec due to their physiology. The main form of communication is through a shared empathic link and a complex exchange of pheromones.
Home-world
The Geliflec once inhabited two systems but were exterminated by the Aetherius Empire, and now inhabit three of the four planets in the Shalfril System. All planets are considered "home-worlds" to the Geliflec but their Birth-world is Gelian, more commonly known as GB-1 (Geliflec Brain 1)

Fedisray - Uninhabited Gas giant, the Largest moon Haafaa contains a mining station with close proximity to the system asteroid belt.
Defense platforms are scattered in strategic positions about the system and a space station is in orbit of each inhabited planet.
Economy
Due to the nature of Geliflec psychology and social structure, the notion of 'economy' is completely irrelevant. There is no need to pay for a work force that knows-not thinks-knows that they are the tools, and are specifically bred for their tasks. All food is grown on-planet and all resources are shared based upon exact need.
Technology
The gelliflec will create technology either when they encounter a problem that challenges the doctrine of 'survival and expansion' or to improve current methods of following the doctrine. Space travel evolved from the problem of over-population and the instinct to expand, offensive weaponry evolved from the problem of external threats. New technology is put into service whilst simultaneously refine, so system refits are common.
FTL capability was all but destroyed after the Great collapse and has only been developed over the last one thousand years due to the encroaching problem of overpopulation. After much scrutiny, Gravito-Magnetic Drives (GMDs) were found to be the safest and most efficient option available to them. Powered by fusion reactors, GMD's create an immensely powerful magnetic field that manipulates naturally occurring gravity waves. The gravity wave-strength is increased in front of a ship to mimic the attractive energy of a black hole, this attractive energy 'pulls' the ship through space at FTL speeds.

Ships: (GCS)
The ships are nasty, predatory things.
Braxil Class Destroyers mass in at around 80,000 tons. Armament consists of eight long range missile launchers, twelve countermissle launchers and two multi-directional, short ranged rail cannons. The ships are powered by two fusion reactors.
Slew Class Corvetts mass in at around 15,000 tons. Armament consists of two short ranged rail-cannons, three medium ranged missile launchers and laser point defense.
Vill Class Fighters (Light Attack Craft) are generally expendable, low crewed and inexpensive birds. The importance of LAC in the deterrence of raiders and pirates became quickly apparent, so considerable thought went into upgrading them over the last century or so. even with upgraded stealth and weapons systems they are still little more than eggshells armed with hammers, but when fifty are stowed in the hull of a Skell Class Carrier and covered with Corvette support, a whole new dimension of tactical flexibility opens up.

Species Appearance:
The Geliflec evolved from an ancient species of sub terrainian Insect, appearance varies depending upon the role of any given individual; The largest of which, are the Hive Brains, Brood Queens, and nodes in that order.
Hive brains are enormous, amorphous heaps of gelatinous matter and require assistance in every physical part of their lives. Brains are eyeless and earless, but posses immense processing power. Brains are always found in the lowest, most heavily guarded chambers of any given nest as they are by far the most important member of the species.
Brood queens are just as massive, however, their functioning parts are more recognizable; A lower maggot-like abdomen and a mantis-like thorax and head. The Queen is the only female in a Geliflec colony and possess separate "birthing sacs" for the various different Gelifec. The Brain dictates how many new Geliflec must be born and of which type and the Queen works to fill that quota.
Nodes are smaller copies of the Hive Brain. Each Gelliflec city contains one node, and is responsible for coordinating and delegating tasks amongst the workforce.
Workers and soldiers. There are literally hundreds of varieties of smaller gelliflec, ranging from the almost humanoid to the completely insectoid.
Food: The Mold. The geliflec survive on a subterranean mold which must be fed in turn with a various forms of bio-mass. The relationship is symbiotic.
Species Culture: The Geliflec has no real culture, just a desire to fulfill the doctorine of Survival and expansion.
Reproduction/Population: Brood queens are the only reproductive females and do not require fertilization in order to reproduce.

Home-world Description:
A rich grassy planet, a hauntingly beautiful place pock-market with strange, deep holes and scars. An x-ray would show vast tunnels systems honeycombing Gelians entirety, as would an x-ray of any other Geliflec inhabited world. Gelians atmosphere is rich in oxygen, and its environment is tainted with terrifying amounts of heavy metals.
Species Background:
Humanity met The Geliflec at a time when the Great Collapse was fast approaching. Upon first contact, human colonists were abducted and fed to The Mold. The Aetherius Empire, unimpressed, classified the Geliflec as "Dangerous Semi-sentients" and their extermination was meted out with brutal efficiency. Nest after nest was destroyed, but the humans didn't take into account the rapidity of Geliflec leaning, especially when faced with a problem. Facing extinction the geliflec evolved new technology at a blinding pace and the last Brain, named "Daedalus" by the humans, held out.
Daedalus would surely have perished anyway if the Great Collapse had not stolen the humans attention elsewhere. The geliflec have been re-populating their system ever since but now with the technological fruits from their first great war.

I wont war with any of you I'll simply expand into your territory and assimilate your natural resources, it wont even be personal. You can peacefully leave your home planets or be used as bio-mass to feed the children. Your choice at the end of the day =)

I'm not trying to drag this out, but when you begin a response with "no offense" it's usually because it is going to be offensive, things feel like what you think they are so even though you didn't say "you ripped off destiny" when you said "it feels like you ripped off destiny" what is the difference in meaning? Notice that the root phrase in both statements is "you ripped off destiny."
Imagine if I said, "no offense, but it feels like you were a jackass". I didn't say you were a jackass, just that I thought you sounded like one. "Sounded" and "were" are two different things, but it doesn't make it any less offensive.
Notice that at the beginning of this I state "I'm not trying to drag this out," and yet I do. This is similar in concept to beginning a phrase with "no offense."
