- My favorite topic would have to be fantasy but I'm more than willing to take part in just about any genre.
For his part, Tobias was the slightest bit nervous about the idea of trying to challenge the Elite Year students for a win this year. His fear was doubled by the knowledge that Lance would be given his scythe back for the duration of the class. Every student in AoA that had been here since last year knew about what he had done with his real weapon. Weapons are not confiscated permanently very often. Not to mention the skill of many others in their group. Ireland would be fighting for her own team in S.A.D. as well, unlike this morning where she had joined the other Second Years. It wasn't that Tobias was afraid. He just knew better than to think a win would come easily.
The truth of the matter was, if it were not for Georgia's enthusiasm and determination to come out on top this year, many of the others would probably have accepted what they felt was inevitable without putting up a fight. Her brief speech, if you could call it that, seemed to actually rally a few of the more timid looking members of their group. Tobias had to admit, Georgia gave their team some hope to actually pull an upset like that off. Her and a handful of other Second Years, Tobias included, were not to be taken lightly. Even Kenzi, for all her timidness, could do more than she would openly admit.
She had stuck close to him after Rolan Sensei had called the two of them to his desk. After an explanation as to why Kenzi had not obeyed his instructions they were permitted to leave without any more hassle. Even now, she seemed to shy away from Georgia's gung-ho attitude in favor of Tobias and the calmness he exuded.
With a tap of his spearhead on the tiled floor, Tobias gathered the attention of the others and made a motion with his head towards the guy who had just walked into Konome Sensei's classroom late. It wasn't the fact he was late that he wanted them to observe. Tobias had keen eyes and a good memory, but he did not recognize who this guy was, this was the important part. After listening in on what he had to say, a small grin formed on Tobias's face. "It sounds like we just might have an extra teammate this year." he confirmed, looking back towards Kenzi, Georgia and Tatsukie.
"Well," with a flick of the wrist and practiced finger movements, his spear performed a one eighty to raise the bladed head away from the floor and over his shoulder. Tobias continued the moment he felt the metal shaft touch down against him, "If we're going to win today's sparring match we'll need a good game plan." Kenzi may have been the strongest strategist in the group but she was very outspoken. Georgia seemed to have seized the unofficial role as group leader with her earlier display and it was her that Tobias set his amber eyes on.
