He stepped out of the cab, opening the door for her and taking her hand. HE walked with her to the ticket booth, using the last of his cash to buy their tickets for the Ferris Wheel.

Alexis stood beside him in line, the hand that wasn't holding his twisting a curl, counting heads to calculate which seat they would end up in. Looking back in line behind them she summed up a few passengers and decided she didn't like the glances from the girl next in line. "Would you mind going ahead of us?" She asked sweetly, not only to that party but the next one as well. No one turns down the chance to move forward in line and she pulled Felix back with her a few places. Content with the arranging that put them between two couples she returned her full attention to Felix. "I didn't want that girl glaring at the back of my head the whole time." She whispered the explication to him. "Should we ask the guy if he will stop us at the top?"

He nodded, grinning nervously at the prospect of the height, before stepping up to buy the tickets, making the request.

Alexis bounced onto her toes rocked back to her heals and watched the massive ring making it's circuit. There was nothing innately exciting about the ride, except that you could see for miles, taste the ocean, shiver in the wind and forget the world below you. It was kind, moving so slowly to ease you back to reality. That's what she had always thought of them.

He took her by the hand, leading her to the line. They waited for a bit, and as the ocean breeze began to pick up, he took of his suit jacket, placing it around her shoulders.

She pulled it closed in front of her blocking out the chill. His build was slight enough that although it was too long, she fit fairly well within his jacket. "Thank you. I wasn't planning on needing to stay warm." She told him with a smile as the previous rotation ended and old passengers made way for the new on the ferris wheel.

He lead her into the empty cart, taking her hand as she sat down. He sat next to her as the operator closes the hinge door on the side. Soon after, the cart took off with a quiet hum, and they were slowly raised into the sky.

Alexis gave his hand a quick squeeze as the cart began to move. Her heart rate had quickened as she was looking forward to the ride and also nervous, not knowing how 'horribly' Felix would react to the height. But she smiled at him and watched the view outside the car changing.

As the car took off, he clasped her hand desperately, visibly shaken. He breathed heavily, trying to calm himself. The cart soon reached the top, and he opened his eyes, looking out over the landscape. The twinkling city lights, the roll of the ocean, were captivating.

Alexis turned to see how he was handling it and grinned at the expression on his face."This is horrible huh?"

He was captivated by the scenery, "It's pretty great actually." He hesitated for a moment, and then put his arm around her shoulder, pulling her close.

Her grin never wavered "Good, I'm thinking the same thing." She told him, looking out at the world from under his arm. There was only one problem with this arrangement "but I still like holding your hand." She whispered the 'complaint' showing that both her hands were empty.

He gently took her right hand in his free hand, holding her close. He sighed, the gentle ocean breeze caressing them both. He looked over at her, her beautiful face outlined by the night sky.

Alexis gazed back completely distracted from the scenery by his attention. Her pulse quickening with anticipation she blushed a little under his gaze.

He cleared his throat, looking down for a few moments, then looking back up at her nervously, as he took off his glasses.

Alexis couldn't decide of she should keep watching him or turn her eyes away at least, resulting in nervous shifts back and forth between him and distant lights. She kept her mouth shut not saying anything that might drag out the process, the anticipation already driving her crazy.

"H..hey Alexis?" he said, looking into her eyes.

She twitched, "Yes?" She hoped that didn't come out sounding as frustrated to him as it did to her, she was trying desperately to let this be a lovely moment.

He placed a gentle hand under her chin, looking into her eyes, as he leaned in for a kiss.

Alexis' eyes shone with delight and she lifted her face to meet his lips with her own.
