• Welcome to Vieuxpont Academy for the Supernatural! With the recent influx of supernatural creatures, people have begun to accept them more and more. With this wonderful turn of events, the historic Vieuxpont Academy was able to publicly open its doors to more and more individuals wanting to learn more about themselves.
  
  VAS is an amazing start for those interested in supernatural studies, and is a wonderful place to graduate from! The campus is always looking for bright, young supernaturals to start their school year right. While only offering classes on the supernatural, we are a wonderful school to transfer from. Our courses are accredited, and our professors are always willing to help out the students with whatever problem they have.
  
  The Academy was built in 1801, by the Dean Vieuxpont. He built it as an homage to the castles to be found in England, where he was from. It was originally built to be a safe place for supernaturals, but it naturally evolved into a school. Over the years, the building has had many updates to keep with the times, so there should be no worries about coming to a musty old school.
  
  It is our duty to keep the students safe throughout the semester, which is why all teachers have been trained to protect. While supernatural creatures are accepted by the whole of society, there are those extremists who wish us harm. Do not worry, however, because our staff are all ready to protect students at any time! Emergency phones are across campus to aid in helping our staff.
  
  If there are any questions, please, feel free to ask our many staff members. If they cannot answer it, your question will go straight to the Dean Vieuxpont himself. We hope you enjoy your stay at Vieuxpont Academy for the Supernatural!

Events

Sparring matches every Saturday at 2:00 PM-5:00 PM. Students and professors are welcome to come by and participate. Matches will be overseen by Urzul Bloodsong. Sparring weapons are available on site. Other sparring types, such as magic, are available.

So, is Dean Vieuxpont a supernatural being himself? (Just a random question, since it was started in 1801 and seems to be modernized to fit the 21st century) Or is one of his descendants running the school now?

I'm also considering joining this, is a spirit with abilities such as invisibility,flight,or using hexes okay? (she's not all-powerful,definately not going to be a Mary Sue, her powers would be pretty average, maybe even weak or she's unable to control them entirely.)

History: Parisa was born to a rather wealthy family. She was born with white hair, the indicator that she would obtain magical abilities like her mother. Her sister, Elise, was also born with these abilities, which pleased Celeste. Paris was coddled the moment she left the womb. She was spoiled, and was given whatever her heart desired. However, her parents also taught her that it is wasteful to want and want without any reason. At the tender age of 4, Paris was taken to America with the rest of her family, where they started to live a more modest life. She was enrolled in a nursery school the next year, and immediately went on to kindergarten.

Paris was a good student. She did her lessons without too much of a complaint, and was kind to the other children. It was during her young school years that she became obsessed with helping those less fortunate. She started by sneaking food from home to give to friends who didn't have much. When her parents caught her stealing, they scolded her, like any parent would do. When they found she was actually helping other children, they decided to help her in these endeavors.

As she grew, she stopped giving food to people. However, she kept her charitable heart. She wouldn't think twice if a friend asked her for some cash. She would always pay for lunch if her friend couldn't, and she loved giving gifts. She was raised well. When she entered high school, her sister got an American boyfriend. Paris was still in middle school when this happened, but she liked the boy. Her sister stayed with Gerald, and the year after graduation, they were engaged. When they got married, Paris was the maid of honor. They have since had three children, which made Paris ecstatic, because of her love for children.

Paris dated off and on, but never found anyone to settle down with. Her favorite one was a demon, but it wasn't meant to be. She has been single for some time, ever since she started college. She is working for a Doctorate in Child Psychology, and has kept her grades up. She has a promising future, and she hopes to have children of her own some day.[/fieldbox]

She won't let a homeless person stay in the cold, and will promptly set them up in a hotel and with some food. If anyone is ever stripped for cash, she will be there to lend a helping hand. She isn't one to take no for an answer, and is very persuasive, no matter the circumstance. She insists on helping people, even if they don't want her to.

There are times when people would call Paris annoying and obnoxious. She may be a very nice person, but that does not keep her from being extremely grating to certain people. A high pitched voice coupled with a superiority complex makes for a very agitating conversation with Paris. While she is a very charitable person, she does think very highly of herself, mostly because of her abilities and upbringing. She loves to gloat to those in her peer group about how well off her parents are. She does use charity as a small ego boost at times, making it seem insincere to some. However, she does truly enjoy the aspect of giving, and wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world.

In general, Paris keeps to herself. However, like most women, she has her feelers out for juicy gossip. A rather talkative young lady, she seems to know all the recent talk. She knows who is sleeping with who, who just got fired from their prestigious job, and who just got that huge scholarship. She doesn't keep this information to herself, either. She confides in friends, mostly, but she has been known to tell compete strangers. She is horrible at keeping secrets, and loves the reaction of people when she tells one. Never trust her with any sensitive information.

Paris has a love for children and anything small. She loves baby animals almost as much as baby humans. She wants a huge family of her own, and hopes to have at leas five children. She has a motherly instinct that makes her very good with children. They stick to her like glue. She can entertain them very easily, and knows how to speak with them and teach them things in a way they would understand. She wants to become a Child Psychologist so she can help mothers to learn why their child is doing what they're doing.

History: Sable was created from a terrible man who hated his family and mostly everyone around him. This man was the elected mayor of Camson. He put on a happy face, pretended to love his family. It worked so well, even his wife was fooled. However, with the lack of freedom, he soon snapped. He called the house into the den, with the intentions of murder. He had a blunderbuss pistol and a wood axe, which he used to kill his family and his hired help. He killed his wife, three children, his personal butler, and the four maids in the house. Once he finished his rampage, he killed himself with a shot to the head.

Out of the bloody remains rose Sable, a demon brought forth from this man's pure hatred. He was now tasked with carrying the man's soul until Sable himself perished. He was accused by the villagers for killing the household. He was then attacked for being a demon when he turned into his full form. He took his first soul that day, and flew off into the nearby woods. After stumbling around for days, he found a young lady named Laura. She was also lost. He decided to protect her as they found their way out. Once out, she offered him a place to stay in exchange for some work. He agreed.

This woman was the one who gave Sable his name. She was also the one who taught him the concept of love. He stayed by her side until she finally passed away from old age. He kept her safe through her life. Once she died, he moved on. He went to America. Here, he met another woman, one who reminded him of Laura. Her name was Laya. She was elven, semi-immortal, similar to himself. The two stayed together until they were forced apart by forces unseen.

His eyes seem to have a dead look to them, and don't "sparkle" with life like many others do. His face is steely, and his lips seem more wrinkled than what should be normal. His hair is long, it grows back instantly if cut. He is rather tall, and very slim. He is slightly muscular.

Personality: Sable is not very demonic in the way he acts. He is kind and considerate. He enjoys time with humans and other creatures. He finds them fascinating. And while he technically cannot feel love, he understands the concept. His love is more akin to a strong urge to protect. He has only "loved" two people in his existence, so he is not very well versed in the art.

He is a quiet man, and would prefer to listen to others rather than speak out in a large group. He is most likely to be the wallflower. He loves talking in small groups, and will happily debate with friends. Always one for befriending people, it is rare he turns down a chance to get to know someone better.

Sable lusts for knowledge. He loves reading. He loves the thought of new technology, and he is still amazed by common pieces of technology, such as phones. It excites him when he thinks about the possibilities that lie before him in terms of technology. So long as he is alive, he wants to know about the newest advances. He owns a smart phone now, which is extremely interesting to him. He loves that he has all the knowledge in the world in his pocket.

While loving technology, Sable is a homebody. He doesn't really like the thought of travelling far. He absolutely refuses to go back to England, he doesn't want to see how it changed. He knows that Camson is gone, as would be Laura's house, so he'd rather just hang on to his memories. He would rather stay in America and live out the rest of his life with those he will love.

History:
Leone's past is a tad bit long-winded. He grew up in a blacksmithing family that was often on the move from kingdom to kingdom in Eastern Europe. His parents were hard working and taught him and his siblings the very basics of magic and blacksmithing.
As the years passed, the art of blacksmithing died out with his parents and the mystical took it's place. Performing little shows, his older sister Azryn took to acting like a fish to water. Naiya followed along after her sister. Anthony was a practical craftsman, and turned to woodworking and construction as his niche in the world.
Leone went to an academy of magical arts to further expand his knowledge, and went to a more formal school to become a teacher. During this time, his younger sister Naiya finally left Azryn's side and joined a dark cirque, where she met a zombie neko and fell in love with him and his adopted daughter, another neko.
Leone got his job at the school a hundred years after it's creation, and has been thoroughly tested by the occasionally troublesome and ingenious students that have come through his classroom. Just last month Naiya and Zornym got married, and his brother got terribly drunk and said some very bad things about the way the family was turning out. The ensuing brawl lasted for about fifteen minutes. Leone walked away with a fractured wrist; his brother just got out of the hospital with severe burns, two broken legs, a concussion from where Zornym whacked him on the head with his staff, and a severely wounded ego.

Personality: James is a outgoing man, talking 24/7 to practically anyone who will listen to him. He's adventurous, and courageous, which often leads him into trouble, and is the main reason he's a ghost in the first place, since he's also very clumsy at times. He loves to meet people, and joke around. While he's a bit dense, he is good with people most of the time. He is also very excitable over things he likes, which tends to end badly, as he will probably send things crashing into walls. That being said, he hates practicing things, and likes getting them right first try. Which sucks for him, quite honestly, as his powers actually require practice, so he can't use them correctly often, and when he does it usually tires him out.

Family: His family consists of Emily O'Riley, his mother, and Kevin O'Riley, his father.

History: James was an average guy with an average childhood. Since the age of five, he had always been interested in playing the guitar, and hence got lesson. This led to him being a musician. He loved it to death, going as far as to name his instrument Lucy. So, while he didn't earn much money from it, he still had enough, and was happy.
But, of course, he still got bored, and took small 'trips' with friends to various abandoned places. Usually it didn't end badly. Until, you know, it did. One trip resulted in his death when he was standing on the top of a abandoned house, and accidentally fell off. It wasn't anything like murder, just a simple accident. Till this day, he claims he would rather have died in a much cooler way, and that it was obviously not his time to go.

It looked very macabre (which the Duffys had no problem with), and sometimes a few courageous hikers would enter the castle and take a look around. They often left before the Duffys got a chance to spook them, bored with how empty it was and all the spiders inhabiting the doorways on their webs.
Kiara snuck onto a boat headed for America when she was the mortal age of 17, staying invisible and making sure to stay out of the way of mortals. (We wouldn't want to possess anyone accidentally, now would we?) She discovered multiple schools for supernatural beings, and finished her high school years at one of them located in Oregon. After this, Kiara began to attend school at Vieuxpont Acadamy of the Supernatural.
General appearance: Kiara's hair is naturally dark red in her solid (mortal-looking) form, although it is often dyed unnatural colors (lilac, bubblegum pink, mint, baby blue,etc.) In her transparent form (when she looks more ghost-like,you can almost see through her), her hair is always white. Kiara's hair is very thick and silky, reaching her behind when she wears it down (it is a bit shorter when curled,like all hair). Her eyes are blue-green in solid form and depending on her mood, are either gray or red in her transparent form (red when upset,frightened,or confused- gray normally in this form). Personality:

History:
Volita was 'born' in a secluded meadow on a day when it was pouring rain. Unlike other days when fairies were to emerge from their cocoons, no fairy was present due to the fear of wings getting wet and possibly tearing. Well, no fairy except for Provolik, who had refused to abandon a fellow fairy, especially an 'infant'. When Volita finally emerged from her cocoon, Provolik's wings were so damp that they couldn't engage in tandem flight.

The next day when it had finally stopped raining, the rest of the fairies emerged but a tragedy had struck the previous night. Provolik's wings had torn under the pressure and he was unable to fly. The butterfly fairies made to leave him, but Volita refused. After more urging, the fairies finally left leaving Volita and her mentor on their own.

Thankfully, a passing witch found them and took them in. The witch bestowed upon them a spell so that they could increase their size, therefore increasing their survival.

When Volita turned 19, she decided to attend Vieuxpont to broaden her horizons.

History: Taran was born in the height of the Wild West. History: Anael is an Archangel of Heaven. He was not cast down to earth out of anger, but for a purpose. His purpose was to save. Many of God's creatures were being harmed by the humans, so Anael was sent to help them. He first created a safe house for all supernatural creatures to find solace. It soon turned into a learning facility. Making the best out of this situation, he turned it into an academy.

With the newfound trust for creatures, Anael was able to publicly advertise his haven. He has seen an influx of creatures of the few years that it's been relatively safe for them. He feels like he may soon be able to put the school into someone else's hands, and return to Heaven to serve in another way. Anael has never married or had a romantic relationship, and does not plan to.

Anael chose his middle name and surname during his travels. He originally had neither, but he met a nice woman with the last name, and decided to take it after she passed away. He picked Markus from a store front that he saw.

He tries to fit in with the mortals, but it's very hard for him. Surprisingly, he feels no strong ill will to demons, which is likely why he was chosen for this task. He knows he will have to fight them in the War for Heaven, but for now, he sees them as no particular threat. If they wish to learn, so be it.

One thing Anael adores is nature. He finds the creation to be very interesting and beautiful. He loves looking at the animals and insects. He really enjoys watching people, as well, trying to get a read on them and how he should act. He has so far gotten mixed messages as to how he should act. There are too many different types of people for him. He does not like major change, and he even hated earth at first. However, he soon grows to enjoy things.
