Hmm... it's been awhile. Sorry about that.
Instead of focusing on a single musical artist, I'll instead go with a genre. Here are a few songs that could easily be placed in an Oriental environment.

Artist(s): Faran Ensemble
Site: http://faran.bandcamp.com/
Title: Geshem (Rain)
Genre: Epic World/Oriental
Scene: "Papa, look! There's the herd up ahead!"
There was no doubt about it. The gazelle the father and son were hunting had finally stopped at the watering hole they were camping near. Holding his finger to his lips to silence the boy, the father handed his son a bow and a quiver of arrows.
"Keep your arm steady," the father whispered, crouching a couple feet away. "And don't stray from your target."
Slowing his breath, the boy focused upon a grand male, one that would easily feed his family as well as his neighbor's. The arrow flew effortlessly into the gazelle's throat, but startled the others. The father fired off an arrow of his own, but merely caught a female in the back of the leg. Not wanting to lose his mark, the father scrambled to his feet and began dashing after the injured beast.
"Papa! Wait for me!"

Title: Aki
Genre: World/Oriental
Scene: The calm before the storm. That was what the soldier kept telling himself as he waited anxiously for the dawn to come. In truth, he didn't wish to ride out to meet with the enemy, but orders were orders. Disobedience under his General's watch meant death.
