To Be In Love

As Thorn waited for Tori to return, he picked up their empty plates and brought them to the kitchen. He rinsed them off and then carefully filed them in the dishwasher, sorting his thoughts a little. What did she think of him? Was he just being silly? Foolish?
 
Tori went back downstairs once Freya was in bed. She looked to Thorn and smiled at him. "Hey there," she said whilst walking up to him. "Freya's safe and sound back to bed.~"
 
He nodded once at her. "Thanks so much. You're so great with her. I appreciate everything you do." He said, leaning against the counter and looking down at her. And it was true. He was so happy to have Tori. "I know you've heard it a thousand times." He laughed lightly, a crooked smile crossing his lips.
 
Tori smiled widely and nodded. "You're very welcome, Thorn.~" She had never realized that Thorn was pretty tall. Not that Tori was ungodly short, but she was definitely shorter than him. She fidgeted a little bit and giggled a bit. "H-hehehe.~...Soo..."
 
He smiled down at her and reached over, grabbing a bottle of wine from the counter. He held it up. "Would you like a glass?" He asked her softly.
 
This surprised Tori a bit. Wine? This guy knew his stuff if he could hide it from his child for a long time. It had been a while since she had wine or anything of the sort, as she only drank those beverages during weddings or special parties. She didn't know what to say but decided it would be a good idea. And she would be all right if it was only one small glass. "All right then, but only a small amount please," she said smiling up to him.
 
Thorn nodded and reached into the cupboard, grabbing two wine goblets. He placed them on the counter before turning to find a bottle opener. After the bottle had been successfully opened, Thorn poured wine into the glasses and handed one to Tori. "There you are." He smiled. He re-corked the bottle and then nodded towards the living room. "Let's go sit." He smiled.
 
Tori took her goblet, smiling back to Thorn. "Thank you.~" said she as she followed Thorn to the living room. Tori looked around the living room. She had already been in it, but she always took little looks to see if she missed a detail she hadn't seen the first time. Everytime she looked though, it was a very nice living room.
