This is a sci-fi/fantasy RP. The Players are young Mages who have been brought to the Academy in order to develop their magical talent and protect their city. They will fight monsters that roam in the wilderness, investigate nefarious plots against King and Country, and so on. But that is all in their future. For now, after a bit of general plot setup, let us have the characters meet up, get to know one another, etc. We can feed them to monsters later.

The plot so far:
The students meet their teacher, Professor Yuki Okamoto, and have their first few days of instruction.

About a week into their Academy life, they are unexpectedly sent out on a mission to investigate the town of Normaden. They learn that a Witch, a powerful monster that sometimes grows from humans with magical potential, has developed in the region. Their Professor takes on the role of exterminating the Witch itself, leaving the students to handle some of its Familiars. During the students' fight, though, they are unexpectedly brought face to face with an Angel. After a fierce fight, the students are victorious and return to their homes safely.

Back in Uruk, the plots grow thicker. A massive force of Angels has gathered near Babylon, and the head honchos discuss plans of how to deal with the threat. The Academy's Headmaster learns that the Angel that the students encountered was sent by the Chief of the Galileians. What could Chief Herschel be plotting, and why involve these young Mages?

Completely unaware of these plots, the students are assigned another mission: to resolve an incident over who should possess a valuable research subject. They will be escorted and monitored by Essence Parker, one of the academy's Student Council members...

It had been quite acceptable to Ozymandius to ignore the green shrubbery that consistently filled every room he was in up to this point until someone pointed out to his author that he was in fact seeing a forest. Now alerted to the fact the author simply would have Ozymandius keep ignoring the trees and shrubs until it became pertinent to bring him out of PTSD land. Standing up, Ozymandius said to no one in particular: "I'm off to question Walahfrid. Anyone who wants can join me." He joined the group text before leaving the room.

The back and forth of questions and answers continued for a moment, with Essence ending it when she left her number as a way to contact them when they needed to, and headed to check on their transport. Then the group proposed ideas on how to work around their task. The general consensus was that splitting was the best way to take this on.
And so, a choice was given to Ryan: go interview some adults, or check for clues on the ship. For him, the answer was clear. "Um, I'd rather to go to the ship" he said, as he at least knew the basics of gathering clues from his parents... And he didn't feel like exercising his social skills too much today. Elisa displayed a couple of pieces of information on the board, and then left after explaining each number and access meant. Ryan registered it all in his AMB before turning his attention back to the group... or at least what remained of it in the classroom. Meanwhile, Tidrog leaned back and waited for things to move along, deciding to stay physical, in case Ryan needed backup.

Rainer was a fairly easy thing to obtain for the Specters, no doubt. I mean, how hard would it be to kidnap an unconscious child, who had lost some weight in the form of blood. The only thing they had to take into consideration, was how fast they'd get back to get him full medical attention. Crazy child had slit his own wrist and covered the entire windowsill in red. Well, no matter. Once he gets some medical attention, he'll be as good as new. Well, even if wouldn't be as good as new, as long as he could cast some magic, that'd be good enough.

He should've arrived a fair bit earlier than today, but he was allowed to relax in the hospital for a while longer, just to be sure that nothing else was wrong. Rainer got no enjoyment out of being there.. At all. He felt like he was under constant surveillance and he knew he couldn't just start praying to his Goddess, under all those eyes. He realized from how his parents acted and how the few people outside of his family, that he had met, how they saw his Goddess and he didn't wish to cause any sorts of problems for her, even if it meant skipping a whole day without praying even once. The moment that he got to the Academy, he went straight to whatever his dorm room was. There were important things to be done.

Location: Dorm room ??

Upon entering his room, Rainer quickly got to praying. He hadn't prayed for well over 24h. Atziri must have been displeased, greatly. He made sure to finish his praying, which took around 20 minutes and then got up. He looked around his room. It looked nice. He should get some pets and a houseplant sometime soon. The room was missing quite a fair bit of life after all. Even his dump of a house had more life in the room. No matter, time to go. He shouldn't be late for class for minor matters. What'd he do if there was something preventing him from praying tomorrow because of this? Or even later today? That could not happen, so he put on his usual smile and moved out.

Location: Classroom 107

There was a knock on the door, after which the door was opened, by a shortie. He had his natural, beautiful smile on his face. He came in and said.
"Excuse me for being late.... May I take a seat?" He had his "bunny" on his back, being worn as a backpack, it's ears stapled to the arms. The backpack(or possibly it was him?) smelled quite a bit like something died in there. Kinda like an rotting animal corpse, but not quite that strong. If the sensei with the yellow hair allowed him to take a seat, he'd most likely do so, passing the stench throughout the classroom.

It seemed like people weren't trying to coordinate who they'd be going with, and what person would be best where, but maybe that was for the best. Hibiscus really wished Almeida was here, as she probably would have explained exactly who would be best going where. Maybe she could send her a text and have her help out!

"Hey Almeida! I noticed you weren't in class. If you're sick I can understand. I need your help with something, can you help real quick?"

After that, Hibiscus sighed, she'd probably have to wait a bit for a reply. A new person she hadn't seen before then walked in, "Hello! I-I'm sorry, you must have walked into the wrong class..." But it seemed like just being in the room was a bad thing. Hibiscus then covered her nose in panic as an awful smell permeated throughout the room.

"Oh God, jesus FUCK you smell like SHIT." Lyka said, popping out of her spirit core and moving all the way to the back of the classroom just to get out of the smell's range, "Get the FUCK out!"

Hibiscus wanted to tell Lyka to stop, but the smell was overpowering, and Hibiscus couldn't bring herself to tell her off. Hibiscus instead tried to be friendly, while Lyka hissed in he back, "W-W-We are just about to assign people to groups... For the M-Mission..." Hibiscus said, wishing Ozy was still here to handle the situation. Elisa and Londo were also gone, and Hibiscus was sure that Londo could handle the situation with this kid, but he too was gone. The only three here were Ryan, Lavi, and Suilen. Hibiscus then realized the teacher was here, maybe HE could handle the situation!

Londo got a message from Essence, after a few minutes of trying, "Sweet! Location acquirred! Londo the Great heading out!" He said, running off towards the Airship location.

Getting to the airship was easy, Londo had been there many times before! And upon arriving there, he would not see Essence at all! In fact, she wouldn't get there for quite some time.

But after waiting a bit, he would see Essence in all her detectiveness. Londo gave a simple raising of the hand in greeting before walking up to her, "Yooo! I have a request of you!" Londo said, arms now at his hips, "You have a hidden wish! I wish to know about it! I, Londo Sperry, the GREAT!, will do my best to grant it! For you see, in my past lives I have been a great person capable of granting wishes to my followers! Granted, I don't have any followers right now, because I'm only a kid, for now, but I shall eventually grant it, because if I do, I shall be granting to wish of others as well! So tell me, what is it you wish!" Londo said, ending his crusade with a wink and a gesture anime girls do with their hands making a v covering their eye.

Elisa

Elisa ordered two bento's from the cafeteria while checking with Essence. She ate in peace while trying to not pay too much attention on to the module. With fifteen minutes on the clock she would finally put in a message: I will be going into the ship. Anyone who likes to join me is welcome to. It's just that I think my powers are best suited for that.

She then took the other bento with her, packing it inside her bag and left from the cafeteria. She walked outside for a few minutes to grab some fresh air. She opened a small juice that she got from cafeteria and started drinking it.

"Yeah a witch... As if." Elisa kept drinking the juice and it felt colder in her mouth.

"Yet I still feel sympathy towards those who were viled by wild magic. And my magic, is it wild magic? Maybe it is simply the scales of fate that decide the outcome... Live or die." Elisa squeezed the empty juice container in her hands and walked next to a carbage bin. She threw it in and moved out towards the hangar. She wrote a message: I'll be in 5.

Elisa arrived to the hangar a few minutes after. Just minutes before the scheduled time to depart. I'm here in the hangar. * These people singed up in the group chat * in just a few moments she would find Londo and shortly after Essence.

"Hey Londo, what's up?"

After Elisa's gaze distracted off to Essence, Elisa would wave at her, and given a pause in Londo's speech Elisa would greet Essence: "Hi. I think I am probably most helpful here with my magic." Elisa's confidence was slightly wavering as she wasn't quite certain how to gain the information the 2nd year representative wanted from Essence.

Professor Roland Steele
C37YJde.png

Classroom 107, The Academy, Uruk. July 28th, 199 NWC, Morning

As the students were discussing their plans and whatnot, Roland was focused on his writing. The lovely Lady Alice may not have been visible in her true majesty to him, but even her brief presence was enough to get the creative juices flowing. So absorbed he was in his task that he only noticed the new kid about 15 seconds after being addressed. Who was this kid? Professor Steele didn't remember him from the roster, but then again, Roland hadn't exactly paid attention to the roster that much either. Well whatever. Kid could've at least bathed before coming over. Roland wordlessly cast one of his most convenient cantrips (Breeze of Fe) to nullify the odor, at least around Roland.

"Of course you can. What, does Yuki make tardies stand out in the hall with buckets of water or something? Anyway, you guys are going out on a mission today. You'll be going to... Professor Steele abruptly stopped speaking as his eyes caught the clock hanging on the wall. "Good Heavens! Is that the time? Damn, Ragan's going to have my head. Sorry everyone, I'll be heading out now!" Before any questions or objections could be raised, Roland had already scooped up his papers and was hurtling out the door. Evidently, he wouldn't be contributing much to the new kid's introduction process...

Upon entering the classroom, Rainer immediately became a target of bullying. It was quite understandable. This was effectively a child colony, after all. Rainer was curious though, why exactly was he targeted? Was it because he was the "new" new kid? Making friends was going to be rough... Well, he still had 1 friend, which climbed halfway out of one of the holes of the stuffed animal and screeched at whoever yelled at Rainer, before going back inside of the bunny. It had the appearance of a withering plant, while resembling a small humanoid figure.

While his plant had a short outburst, Rainer didn't even blink for a second, while staring at the teacher, and ignored the remarks the others made. Eventually, after 3 eons, the teacher took notice of his existence, which was a nice feeling in it's own right. It meant that he arrived to the correct place after all..! Or not. He was supposed to be on a mission to...? The teacher said that he was out of time and that Ragan will have his head... Who was this God Ragan? From his experience, Gods would curse, but they wouldn't straight up kill for missing out on prayers. Weird. Rainer took note of the God Ragan. He had to look into him, since he'd never heard of him.

In any case, he had to do something and be somewhere, but he had no clue where or what. At least he knew when. Now, probably. However, it looked like someone was willing to talk to him and explain to him! What a joyous day. He walked over around 2 meters away from the purple haired girl and asked: "Mission? What exactly do we have to do?" Still having his cute smile on his face, he awaited a reply, if she was willing to reply.

If Lyka would continue bullying him, he himself would reply this time around. "Please, don't bully me. Anthy becomes stressed when you do that..."

Another group effort sorta thing, huh? Suilen scratched her head. It must be an Academy in name only then. Sounded about right, but then again, work experience was nice too.

And the Lacertan spaceship. Can't forget that.

Ozymandias, being the only adult in the group (Steele discounted), did what any adult would do: leave the kids on their own. And as if to spit upon prior efforts to everyone working together, a completely new member of the class popped outta nowhere, smelling absolutely...interesting. Lyka may have been verbally abusive about the new child's stench, and Suilen certainly wasn't going to say that she enjoyed the midget's odors either, but to go around smelling like a dead animal...did he perhaps have a zombie spirit or something? That'd certainly be interesting.

"Can I bite him?" Drafi asked, twisting his head upside down.

"Not yet," Suilen replied, before hopping off the desk.

Elisa had gone to the airdocks. Ozy and Londo must be heading in the same direction. Was a bit of a pain, but Suilen supposed that this wasn't any time for faffing about now. Striding up to the backpack-wearing child, the girl smiled in a self-content manner, before saying, "We're going on an investigation, to determine which adult saw the shiny spaceship first, and which of them tried to attack the other first. To keep things simple..."

The girl narrowed her eyes briefly. Ryan, Elisa, herself. Ozy off to Walahfrid. Themistocles not covered. Londo, Hibiscus, Lavi, and the new kid left.

"Alright, Hibiscus, Lavi, do Themistocles. New kid, tell me your name. You'll go with Londo, this red-haired, blue-eyed hyper-dude, as well as Ozymandias, the old-looking guy with a gun, to talk to Walahfrid. Basically, just listen in and see how suspicious they look. Londo loves answering questions, so if you ask him, he'll help you out no problem."

There, that should be easy. Boys go one way, girls go the other, avoid the issue of Lyka bullying the new kid.

"Anyone got any complaints? If not, lets get going."

Essence Parker

The mission had only just started, and Essence already felt like this was going to be a headache. Getting transport had been tough, seeing how her previous arrangement casually called in to cancel and nearly everyone else seemed busy, other than… As she headed to the Airdock itself, she noticed the red-haired hyper kid had beaten her to it. As he opened his mouth, her mood instantly dropped even further. "Let me guess, that second-year representative has put you up to this?" Well, there wasn't really any need to guess, it was pretty much a given. "I'll tell you the same as I told him, I'm not interested in playing along with his games. Just focus on the mission and forget about anything he might've said to you." It seemed like the direct approach was, in this case, the worst approach.

Elisa appeared not long after, whom Essence greeted with a simple nod of acknowledgement. Considering nobody had informed her of any plan, the best she could hope for was that they had simply forgotten to do so and weren't running around at random. In either scenario, it was time for phase 2. A combination of admin privileges and student council privileges had given her all their AMB ID's, including that of the new kid. Sending them a message would be the easiest way to do so.

[Those wishing to see the scene itself, meet us at the Academy's Airdock within the next ten minutes. If anyone is splitting off to go meet with Ahn Walahfrid or Ewald Themistocles, let me know, I'll get Stanley or Ruya to come along to the location.]

On the assumption at least one person ends up going here, otherwise ignore this and consider Ruya to have joined Stanley's group.

Those whom were visiting Ewald Themistocles would soon meet up with Ruya in front of the Academy, from where they would use public transport to commute towards a large terrain with various research- and army facilities. It was clear that the area was fairly heavily monitored, and the building they were heading for was no exclusion. Upon their arrival, they were met by a closed gate and an intercom. Considering her Avian features, Ruya had to give someone else the task of pressing it, to abstain from any awkward pecking at a button mid-flight. "Could you press that? They should have been informed of our arrival."

Location: Ahn Walahfrid's Residence

Those whom were visiting Ahn Walahfrid would soon meet up with Stanley in front of the Academy, from where they would use public transport to commute towards the residential area's of Uruk. They'd find their destination in one of the better parts of town. Now quite the 1%, but a fair bit above average all-around. "Here it is. She should already be expecting someone from the Academy." Stanley said, as he sat down. He'd leave it up to them to figure out how they wanted to approach the situation. Their first hindrance was the lack of a doorbell, meaning they'd have to sneak in or find another method to announce their arrival.

Location: Academy Airdocks (2/2)

Those at the Airdock would eventually see the arrival of a fairly odd airship, which was followed up by an equally odd captain leaving it.

The Gravity Defiler
P1TWMw0.jpg

Captain Falcon Hawks
ZoQMVeu.png

It seemed like Essence and the Captain were previously acquainted, as he called out to her. "Yo, Essence, how's it going girl?"

Rather than replying to him, Essence turned towards the class and sighed deeply. "He was the only one available to fly us there, as relying on the Thaumaturgical Society or Galileans will have them think we're being partial, while the regular airships seem to have been busy… Just… Try to do as he says, and we should be alright, I think."

Rather than being disturbed by these comments, the Captain laughed them off. "Seems like you're the same as always, such a worrywart~ It'll all be fine. The Gravity Defiler has been flying for as long as I've been walking and we're both still going strong!"

As the students got on board, they'd notice a few things. Various pieces of the ship seemed to be held together with duct-tape, tie-raps and rope. There were various loose screws and bolts lying basically everywhere. Some of the metal plating was more rusted than one would think was technically possible.

As the captain started up the engines, he made a few comments. "Right, if you guys could help out with a few things, that'd be neat. See that big red machine to the right? If it starts making a lot of noise, give it some whacks with the crowbar next to it. That should stop it. Oh, and if back-engine starts smoking again, you can use the fire extinguisher over there. Other than that, please don't open the window or lean against the front wall on the left, there's some soda next to the spare bottles of fuel, just smell it to figure out which is which is you want some, and ehhh, enjoy your flight~"

During the flight, the students would be free to 'walk' around, albeit with a total of 20 steps in each direction that could safely be taken without having to fear breaking through the floorboards... Considering there were no seats, other than the one the captain used, they'd have to figure out a way to get comfortable on their own. There were various occasions on which the red machine started making noise, but at least there was no smoke coming from the back engine…

Seeing the message pop up on his bracelet, Ozy quickly shot back a message to let Parker know he was on his way to question Walahfrid. The addition of Londo and the new kid he hadn't met yet caused Ozy to groan mentally. Now he'd have to keep an eye on Londo and hope the smell wouldn't offend Walahfrid. It was a bit of a posh neighborhood, a far cry from the more cramped residential districts in the less wealthier parts of town. Walking up to the front door, he immediately noticed a lack of a doorbell. Shrugging, he'd knock on it instead. Turning to Londo and the new kid, he spoke. "I'll do the talking to Walahfrid. Just hang back and take glorious notes or something Londo. The same goes for you... Actually I don't think I know your name."

I'm assuming, before Hibiscus would reply to my question, an older girl strolled up to him and told him what he needed to do. Find out who saw a shiny spaceship and find out who started a fight first. A space ship. He suddenly got the urge to see one, because of that. How awesome would a spaceship look? Surely it'd look AMAZING! No, no, concentr- SPACESHIP! SHINY SPACESHIP!! His eyes were open wide and he even lost some of the creepiness he had. Spaceships did wonders.

Before Rainer had been able to clear his mind from the Spaceship Stun afflicted upon his mind, he got asked to tell his name, so he introduced himself, in proper. "My name is Rainer. I like animals!" He then also got told to find a fellow by the name of Londo, he had red hair, blue eyes and was "Hyper". He didn't know what the word meant, but it sounded cool. Good enough reason to go. And some old dude too, apparently.

After leaving the classroom and traversing throughout the Acadmy to the exit, he used his AMB to send a message to his only(I'm assumig) contact, the one that wrote to him a short while ago.
["i am going to wallhfrid"]

After he exited the Academy building, Rainer and took public transport to Walahfrid's place.

Location: Walahfrid's Residence

Near Walahfrid's place he found the guy that the girl in the classroom mentioned earlier. An old looking dude with a gun.I'm assuming it's in a holster, if it's not visible, pm me, I'll fix this His name was... "Hello, you're Ozymond... Osymon... Ozym..andius. I'm Rainer. I got told to come here to find out about spaceships! And uh... who fought first." The smell coming from his backpack wasn't that bad anymore. It was around 10% less smelly, because they were outside. Hopefully, he'd come in useful. He only knew of one talent, that he possessed. He could win a staring contest with a houseplant.

While waiting to be sure no one was against Ryan going to the crash, he noticed the messages of Elisa on the group chat. He gave one last look around to be sure he had green light... Seems so, "Thank gods!" he thought, as he wrote a reply to Elisa. Just as he finished texting, and his focus was back to his surroundings, he noticed the presence of another kid entering the room, mostly due to the smell that emanated from him. Decomposition. An occasional discovery of the remains of an animal on the woods came to mind. Not pleasing, for sure. Lyka decided to go ballistic on the poor kid about it though. Her overreaction annoyed Ryan, but he didn't want to make Hibiscus feel worse about her out of control spirit. She was busy enough resisting the urge to throw up. Suilen stepped up, and organized the loose members of their class into groups, which was nice, because the only adult left in the room just fled ran off to to some other task. With that said, he reaffirmed Suilen's statement with a nod and headed for the airdock.

...

Not long after, he found himself at his destination, probably with Suilen in tow. Some looking around later, he came across Essence, Londo, and Elisa. He nodded at them as a greeting, but not much else. Essence made him feel slightly under pressure, which was a lot for him, as he didn't want to get her in trouble for messing up. Thankfully, their transport arrived sooner rather than later.
A very... flimsy looking ship is what they were going in, by the looks of it. The captain popped off the ship and greeted Essence, which Essence answered by giving the class a warning of sorts. "Still better than interrogations..." Ryan thought. Once he stepped inside the ship though, he felt intimidated. It was even flimsier than it looked from the outside! And the captain's instructions certainly didn't help. Kashmir emerged from Ryan's body and without need for instruction, it placed itself near the red machine and wielded the crowbar, while Ryan looked for a not so ruined piece of the floor, where he sat down cross legged and silently meditated for most the duration of the ride, hoping to successfully escape the fear of a crash, while Kashmir smacked the machine when it got too noisy.
At some point during the flight, Ryan would ask for a favor from Essence, standing up and walking to her if necessary. "... Er... M-Miss Essence? By any chance... d-do you happen to have a spare set of gloves, you could... um, lend to me?" he asked, hoping to get some to not mess with possible evidence, while being realistic. It was unlikely she had a full kit of items to gather evidence. Then again, she carries investigations often... In the end, Ryan would setitle with asking about what she visibly had.

Londo only ,aughed in response to waht Essence said, "Ha! I shall get you to divulge your secrets one way or another! I believe you shouldn't be so uptight either! Loosen up a little!" Londo said, as Elisa arrived, "Yo! I'm trying to spread the glory of Cadwgan to the masses, as well as ask Essence for her wish! As a disciple of glory, it is my swolen duty to help!" Londo said, using the word 'swolen' wrong.

Just then, messages popped up in the group chat, and Londo smirked, laughing as he walked away from the group, "Anyways, I shall be off! Suilen requires me to help out a new student in the ways of Glory so I shall be going there!" Londo said, giving a small salute as he ran off from the area and towards the front of the school. There stood the dog, the new kid, and Ozy!

Londo said, "Yo!" To Ozy, then shoved out his glorious medallion for the new kid to see, "I assume you're the new kid! I am Londo Sperry, the GREAT!, and I shall be instructing the ways of glory to you today as a disciple of Cadwgan! Also you stink, you should probably take a shower!" Londo said, laughing and trying to pet the dog Stanley while making sure the medallion was nice and secure on his chest.

Ahn Walahfrid's Residence

At the residence, Ozy told Londo to stand back, but Londo couldn't just do that, that was boring! Londo chuckled, "Hahaha! You think he would listen to reason? Push may come to shove and he might onyl listen to a disciple of glory! I shall give you a chance! If you do this wrong, I shall intervene and talk to him!" Londo said, trying to pet the dog Stanley again.

Stanley Barker

It was not a good day to be canine spirit. The first challenge Stanley was forced to deal with was a redhaired Londonian attempt at sexual harassment. It was met with a growl and "Hands off kid!". Stanley wasn't a freaking lapdog, after all. He was a police dog first and foremost.

The second issue was the odd scent coming from the newly arrived kid's backpack. Thankfully, he didn't have the same 'taste' in scents as humans do, otherwise this would be unbearable on his sharper sense of smell. Then again, it still wasn't ideal, as it scent might cover up other scents. Stanley figured he'd address it. "The scent coming from your backpack, it's in the way. What are you bringing along? It smells like something illegal, or at the very least impolite." Well, considering he was a spirit merely there to observe, it wasn't his job to deal with whether or not this kid might be doing illegal stuff. He just wanted the annoyance to be gone. "Whatever it is, get rid of it or get it sealed so nobody has to smell it." It wasn't entirely clear whether he was talking to Rainer about his backpack-item or to the other two about Rainer...

Upon Londo's second attempt at petting Stanley, the growling got louder. "Hands. Off. I don't warn thrice." Next time Londo would attempt it, he'd likely be bitten.

A few moments after knocking on the door, he could hear the sounds of some coming to it. Soon enough, the door opened.

Ahn Walahfrid

"Hello~ You guys seem like a random enough selection of people to be from the Academy! How right am I? Anyhow, welcome, welcome~ Please come in!"

epiIl3U.jpg

Upon entering the residence, they'd be overwhelmed by the amount of books and magical equipment stacked around. Although most of it didn't look extremely valuable, this entire house was clearly the lair of researcher. Another thing that stood out was that she might need to consider hiring a maid or something, as more than a few places had been gathering dust and cobwebs. Ahn didn't seem the least bit worried about it, however, as she lead her 'guests' to a seating area in what seemed to house the most books, defaulting the area to 'library' for convenience's sake. "You guys want anything? Coffee, tea, water?"

Roland wasn't any help, but thankfully Suilen took charge and assigned groups. So it looked like Lavi would be going with Hibiscus. That would be fun!

Lyka finally returned to her spirit core after the stinky new kid left, although Hibiscus still never got her name. Hibiscus sighed, and stood up from her seat, "Alright Lavi, let's do this!" She said with an awful amount of determination.

After making her way to the front of the school with (or without) Lavi, Hibiscus greeted the bird, "H-Hello Ruya. I-I'd like to apologize for Lyka's behavior earlier...." Hibiscus said, and fortunately the little fairy did not pop out to cause more trouble.

After that, they took public transport to the department. It was pretty breathtaking, but scary at the same time. Hibiscus pressed the button at Ruya's request, and waited for the person to show.

Though others may have been sketched out by the Gravity Defiler's rustic appearance, Suilen was quite a fan of it. It was something new, after all, and something full of character too. Taking out her phone, she snapped pictures of the air vessel at a couple choice angles. The duct tape and the rusted plating gave it a wonderful vibe, while the smell was pretty interesting too. There was no meat or blood though, only oil and smoke, so Drafi, being the boring little owl that he was, slipped back into his Spirit Core while Suilen did what exploration she could.

Ryan, after all, looked like he was fully prepared to deal with any happy accidents alongside his own Spirit.

Sadly, with the floorboards in the condition they were and the lack of a crow's nest, the girl couldn't get much of that done at all. Carbonated drinks weren't too great either; now that she had legs, she definitely preferred milk over soda, and doubted she could smell the difference between fuel and drinkable beverages anyways. Everything sorta smelled like smoke and gas, after all. Settling for conversation instead, she strode over towards the captain's seat, leaning her back against it.

"Call me Suilen. Who are you?"

A pause. A courtesy, really. She wasn't expecting to remember the captain's name two hours from now.

"Ship's Gravity Defiler. What adventures have you been on?"

A pause, but this time one that extended into attentive silence, broken only by open-ended questions as she killed time with the Captain. Lotsa character in the ship indeed, but whether its duct-taped nature was due to hilarious overconfidence or pathetic miserliness was still to be seen.

Ozy rolled his eyes at Londo's comment. "Yeah yeah whatever kid. Just stay quiet and don't cause any glorious trouble." He gave the other kid a side eye. He hoped that Londo wouldn't rub off on him. "Alright Rainer, just make sure that you don't follow Londo's lead for now. We'll get some proper introduction later." When the door opened Ozymandius gave her a short wave and followed her inside. "You'd be correct, we've been sent to investigate the attack that occurred near that ship that was discovered." He explained as he made his way inside. "This is Londo and Rainer, two other Academy mages, and I am Ozymandius Jorgenson. Technically i'm the human chaperone, but i'm also here to ask you some questions about the incident." Taking a seat, he politely nodded. "Water would be fine if you'd please."

Stanley Barker

Ahn nodded, as Ozymandius introduced himself and his companions, although he left out an introduction of the spirit that accompanied them. Luckily enough, the canine introduced himself. "And I'm Stanley Barker, here to observe." One of the two kids rambled about glory and eventually settled on wanting soda, the other looked creepy as all hell.

After taking their orders, Ahn went to the kitchen to fetch the drinks. It gave the others a little bit of time to look around, if they were inclined to do such a thing, of course. She'd eventually come back with the orders and a bowl of water for Stanley, to which the canine raised a an eyebrow. Ahn didn't seem to notice, as she placed the bowl on the ground and the drinks on the table with a happy "Here you go~"

Captain Falcon Hawks

Having worked with a lot of mages before, Falcon didn't really raise an eyebrow when the red-haired one cloned himself to take care of banging the red machine. What was more surprising, was the other kid, whom actually came to introduce herself. "Name's Hawks. Captain Falcon Hawks." It wasn't a difficult to remember name, so maybe he had a shot at being remembered. At the very least, his ship's name was already stored in Suilens memory, as the next question was about it.

Although Falcon kept his eyes on the skies in front of him, he replied. "Heh, lots of 'em. I've flown mages towards all sorts of places. I even worked with some army people for a while… didn't go so well. Annoying bastards with their strict rules. Mages are a bit more chill. Did you ever hear of that spirit going berserk, causing giant storms all over? Me and my ship here braved it to bring some mages closer. That was tough stuff. Most of it are more boring taxi trips though, but you gotta earn your living somehow, right?"

Essence Parker

Kerr had turned into his spirit core not too long after entering the ship. The spirit had never been fond of heights. Essence didn't mind them as much, it was just the Gravity Defiler that she had a bit of previous history with… It didn't exactly make her sit down in comfort, and that wasn't just the lack of chairs. Anyhow, she was surprised when Ryan spoke up, asking for gloves. "No, and don't worry. It's not a homicide, so worrying about gloves shouldn't be necessary, as we don't have access to the right tools to deal with glove-requiring evidence to begin with. Just make sure not to carelessly pick stuff up or waltz through things, and we should be good." To that extend, Essence was happy that this redhaired kid was a lot less likely to run around ruining the crime scene than the other one.

After little over two hours of flight, the Gravity Defiler finally landed at its destination. The strange rock formations made for a really rough landing, which would force the students and Essence to hold-on to whatever they could grab or tumble through-out the ship. It also sounded like something broke upon landing, to which Falcon said "No worries, I'll fix it." One thing was clear. There wasn't any sign of an alien spaceship here.

@LondotheGreat | Hibiscus ( @Giftvi | Lavi? )

Ruya Proudfeather

If birds could use their beaks to form a cocky smile, Ruya would do so upon hearing Hibiscus' apology. "Don't worry, I'd never let myself be bothered by the ramblings of inferior pests." The big bird seemed to have been a bit more annoyed than she had previously shown in class, if the response was any indication. Not long after Hibiscus pressed the button, someone spoke up over the intercom. "Name, purpose and identification." (I'll have to discuss the specifics with @alatartheblue42 but it's safe to assume she at least has some form of identification.)

Once Hibiscus and Lavi had identified herself, Ruya would speak up. "Ruya Proudfeather, working for Essence Parker." Not long after that, a buzzer went off and the gate opened. "You can head to the reception, the main entrance is at the front, just go straight."

Soon enough, they were lead through an arrangement of corridors by the receptionist. There were signs stating "entry prohibited" or "staff only" and "special clearance only" as well as signs stating "dangerous" or "wear protective gear" and whatnot. Either they were doing some crazy stuff behind some of these doors, or their safety regulations were at a really high standard, potentially a combination of both. In either case, they eventually arrived at a larger, fairly spartan office. The receptionist opened the door saying "It's the mages." and returned towards their desk.

Ewald Themistocles

"Welcome. I'm Ewald Themistocles." As the man got up from his office chair, he headed over to them for a handshake, giving a nod in Ruya's direction.

"Tell me more about the spirit and the storm on the return trip," was Suilen's own response. A bit saddening that Falcon Hawks (Hawks Falcon? Eagle Hawk? Bird Bird?) didn't have nearly as storied of a history as his jerryrigged air vessel would imply, but it still made for good photos.

The Gravity Defiler landed soon after, and as the doors opened, Suilen couldn't help but let out a squeal of delight. Wow! An absolute beauty! Normaden definitely didn't compare! Rocky crags dripping with icicles, windswept plains filled with greenery, and a sky that she could stare at forever. Shafts of sunlight dappled the terrain unevenly, while the air itself tasted as crisp as spring snow. Who knew that something like this was only two hours away from Uruk? The girl pulled out her smartphone, thrust it at Ryan's chest, and said, "Take a picture of me!"

She practically leapt off the airship, before twirling around to face the redhead. Spreading her arms out to the side, as if to indicate the sheer enormity of the landscape behind her, Suilen beamed a smile like a spring blossom towards Ryan.

That lasted until she heard the shutter click. Then, her face dropped to neutral again. She stepped up, took her smartphone back, and, with a flip of her hair, transformed. Her hair became like a cloud, trailing on endlessly behind her. Her jacket became like a jellyfish, blooming out and floating as if underwater. Her eyes became iridescent, a yellow-green like that of a beast's. Without hesitation, she pulled at her hair, as if pulling out a loose thread, and the aquamarine strand wove itself into a great bird, spectral in consitution. The Preying Bird rested atop her extended hand, and Suilen turned to Essence soon after.

"Where's the ship?"
