Peace has reigned over the Hidden Villages for close to twenty-five years and everything seems peaceful. Recently, the Chunin exams have been held in Konoha and many talented individuals managed to pass it. The future seems bright for the world. However, not everything is as it appears. Surrounding villages have been attacked by a mysterious group with no name and no face. They leave no survivors.
The current Kages see no point in alarming their people, because it may turn out to be nothing more than a minor threat. He can only hope that his judgement is correct and no one is hurt because of it. Although not everyone agrees with this, they still follow him, prepared for battle at any moment.
What they don't realize is that there is dissention within the villages. People close to the authority. People who would do anything to fight for their cause. Now, they wait in hiding for the opportune moment to strike and bring down the Hidden Villages. Of course, the best way to kill bring down any government is to attack their future and that's exactly what they plan on doing. The children, or more specifically the Genin and new Chunin and Academy Students, are in more danger than anyone else. It's just a matter of the Kages realizing that.
