The alert system is strange to be sure. But my understanding of it is that if you get an alert and don't visit the thread, it doesn't continue to alert you for more posts.

Also, not entirely sure what to do with the thread.
 
That is really weird...Well we could wait on it out we could start over it from an established point from the last one...and if you can't jump in right away that's okay, you could always jump in later. I know the people who carried over already have developed characters so those would hold your place
