The Misfits of Khalisia (it's a ~Closed~ Pathfinder thread!)

  • So many newbies lately! Here is a very important PSA about one of our most vital content policies! Read it even if you are an ancient member!
Naw, it's fine. It'll just make the grand reveal of his silvery skin more grandiose when I get the feat.

Eww. My post looks so tiny after the long intro. ><
But I don't really know what else to do. <.< I suppose I set myself up for a short post, though, just following someone. >.>

But I posted a thing, too~ (just not a very good thing that feels like the bare minimum)

Well, that's certainly one way to gain the attention of the rest of the clergy. "What the hell happened to you? You're all pale and stuff. Did that Shelyn-temptress do this to you? 'cuz you're lookin' kind of pale now, and she's as pale as they get, and..."

And, suddenly I'm realizing that NPCs reacting to Annora is probably going to be the most complicated thing I might have to do in this thread.

Ermine, don't worry about post-length. The intro is long because it's loaded with character-specific information.

*sees the low-hanging fruit; is compelled to reach for it*

The Adventures of Night Creatures, Celestial Beings, and Several Lesbians!

Based on true events: a saga written by Trig Fellpool.

First recommendation: "The book is alright, but she focused way too much on my bust. I guess she never saw the punchline coming." ~Annora Darkseeker

Welp. Pharmacist took my resume, asked about my work and school history, said to come back in when the pharmacy manager got some sleep. Spoke with the front manager for maybe two minutes and she said I had a good chance of being hired on. Feelin' good right now. I might only have to spend a few weeks without a place to sleep. Also happy about this thread gettin' revived. For a group consisting mostly of strangers, this has to be maybe the best cast ever for a game I'll be DMing.

I've got Dark Ramza, an adorable tribal-ish girl, an intersex heroic badass who worships almost-Freya, a badass female warrior with magic in her veins, a connection to the criminal underworld, and whatever the heck Wyran is supposed to be. And pretty much the entire party has skills or a job they can fall back on when they aren't murdering murderers.

Let's roll some dice. I'm getting a hex of a lot better at this. ^-^

I'm still in, I suppose. There is more than enough confusion as to how this system works ; - ; But I'll figure it out as we go along. I just need some direction here and there and I'll be fine. I'm glad to hear about your job offer! Pharmaceutical stuff is actually really good work. Good luck with it!

All right, I'll edit Mr. Elf in too. You're gonna be with Wyran and Annora.

So, Felix. I'm looking at Xavier's sheet, and there's a few mistakes in it. Because you're dual-wielding longswords, attacking with them would put you at 0 to attacking because one of them isn't a light weapon (replacing one of the longswords with a shortsword would put your attack rolls back at a +2 though). Also, you're missing your racial bonuses to perception and your skill focus bonus to bluff (these go under misc mod), and there's no way you have that much starting money. You'd have started with 160 amber shells. Your speed while wearing scale mail should be 20, and the '3' you have in 'misc' modifier under your Fortitude save should be a '1' while the '0' under your base fortitude save should be a 2.

Your size mod under 'attack bonus' and 'CMB' should be set to zero.

And... I think that's everything? @,,@

Sorry for adding in, however I make it 0. ( +3 str +1 BAB, -4 TWF penalty), or +2 if one is light.

As A comment, Felix if you are focusing on two weapon fighting, there is an archetype specialising in it that will reduce those penalties, but you do lose other stuff from the base fighter class (I once used it for a multi-class barbarian/fighter using two greatswords, as her penalties were enormous.) Just thought I'd point it out in case you missed it, unless you specifically chose not to have archetypes.

Fixing! Also, I do believe he said he's new to pathfinder, so that's probably one reason he's yet to go digging past the core rulebook.

Archetypes are basically a group of edits to existing classes, tweaking the specifics and making use of different aspects of a class's features, trading some abilities and proficiencies for different bonuses. They're fun to play with.

The two-weapon fighter archetype loses some of the good stuff a fighter gets, but it gains an increasing bonus to dodge AC, attack rolls and damage roles, and has better two-weapon DPS than rangers normally get if the fighter has the stats to back it up. It's certainly an interesting build.

Ah yeah. A plain fighter could be better if you aren't completely sure. It is a nice build, but as said you do lose some of the more versatility of a fighter, and are less efficient with armour, but yeah less penalties, more damage, more AC, as long as you are getting enough attacks off. If allowed you could possibly later retrain to it once you get the hang of pathfinder?

Also Tsutla, apologies I only just spotted your edit on perception rolls. Assuming it's spotting the army I can make the roll and edit my post appropriately?

It's for the next post.

I think it would be best for me to learn the system first before I jump into something like this e - e;

Totally. If anything, this just reminded me to keep some variety in the loot. Campaign spoilers I guess: loot will be scavenged at some point.

Also: I need to think up some things to do in adventure downtime, and since it's late summer in-game, that means it's almost harvest season. Gotta make that interesting too.

'oi.

Okay. Edited in the roll. Didn't know which was the best way to do modifiers, so just added it into the roll title.

I'll be posting tonight or tomorrow, given the circumstances

woot woot bless the RNG

sorry just had to get that out, 20 then 24 just wow

I tried thinking of a way that we should do the rolls and I'm sorry if i jumped the gun on it. but with the rolls i got it's hard to think that I missed anything
