Name: Ember Gollet
Age: 19 years old
Gender: Female
Species: Human


Physical Description: Ember is a quite pretty young lady for a human with her strong and sharp features, clear blue eyes and the long, red and flat hair of hers. Her lenght is nothing shes proud of, rather ashamed acctually, measuring only at 1.58 centimeters. But overall her body structure is avrage, with her skin being a light shade of beige, leaning a little to the pale side.

Personality: Ember is not a outgoing person, but she is not shy eiether, although she is quite quiet. Growing up as a merchants daughter, she has always been curious, and intrested in learning new things. Since little she has started collecting things from all over the world, and has a whole bag full of them. As she travelled around alot, she never had a lifelong friend which made her almost distant from a regular childhood. Growing up with travelling parents, were fun, but not having friends was not as fun, but of course, little Ember did not know this. Since she had no one to be with, she was alot with her parents and helped them with selling wares to diffrent people. This made her really smart and intellegent, but she also was spending her most time with adults, which made her into a polite young lady. When she was 15 her parents and her settled down in Astaeron, and it was then she was beginning to notice what she had missed out on, but as afraid of not pleasing everyone she did not try to socalice with people around her age, and instead socaliced with people older than her. Overall Ember is a polite, and friendly person but afraid that she won't get accepted, or neglected, or worse, she will hurt another person.

Bio/History: She was born in a little village by Kazem and Eza, two merchants traveling the world. She spent almost whole her life traveling across the world, always learning new knowledge and collecting more and more things. When she was 15, she and her family settled down in Astaeron in a small cottage in the outskirts of town. Then she started helping her parents with their newopend store with wares from the whole world. As unsocial she was with people in her own age, she did not make so many friens, but she made a few, and she still has them to this day.

Other details: Ember is a exellent chef, and knows alot of exotic recepies, her dream is becoming a chef and open her own resturant.
She also playes the lute, and collects many things.

She's a beautiful character, and don't worry, you don't have to be invited to join us! That part of the form is just there so that I can be aware of what members are helping to recruit newcomers - especially since recruitment is required for nobility ranks.

There's one tiny detail you're missing from the rules, so just take another quick peek through them, edit it in and you'll be all good to go :D

After having nothing to do, I checked back on Iwaku and remembered this forum. An application is now officially in progress! :D Will probs be making a halfling or dwarf of some sort.

You cannot hold any nobility titles in Astaeron - no Kings or Queens, no Princes or Princesses, no Lords or Ladies...those can only be obtained through gameplay (eg. become King by marrying Arianna) or by following the instructions on the front page (for Lord/Lady titles).

You may, however, be an existing resident of Astaeron as opposed to a newcomer. You may also be as poor or wealthy as you wish, though your wealth obviously cannot exceed that of the Queen or nobility, so a wealthy resident would simply be considered upper-class. They should still be employed, but they can have nice things and a home in the North end of the town, where all the mansions are.

You may hold any rank in a location outside of Astaeron. Visiting royalty or nobles are always welcome.
 
Can we be employed in the castle as service, e.g royal guards, servants, cooks, food-tasters (hint hint) etc, etc...?

...Aaand if I read the IC correctly, there is currently a ball at the castle, right?

Yeah, the ball is basically over. My next post is going to include an OOC footnote telling people that the ball is ending so they may finish up their dance or conversation or whatever and make their way out. Once everyone leaves I'm forwarding the time back to morning.

Name: Orin
Age: Unknown (appears somewhere in his early thirties by human standards)
Gender: Male
Species: Kennooni (demon of the sword)
Physical Description: He is actually rather short for a warrior, standing only at about 5 feet and 3 inches. Though his baggy black clothes make it hard to make out his specific body shape, underneath he is equally lithe and surprisingly slender. However want is there is all purely toned and trained muscle, allowing him to make up for what he lacks in stature and raw mass with explosive power and speed (though of course some of that is also attributed to his supernatural nature). He wears an intricate iron gauntlet on his right arm which houses his sword whenever he isn't using it, allowing him to nearly instantaneously summon it to his hand no matter the circumstances.
Personality: Orin is a silent, brooding man. As a Kennooni he is the manifested spirit of a sword whose wielder went mad with bloodlust and eventually claimed his own life with his steel. He has heard that his kind usually take on an appearance similar to that of their former wielders, but as he has no memory of his life as an inanimate sword he doesn't attribute any particular meaning to this. Kennooni are frightening warriors and in their homeland are both worshipped and feared as gods of war and harbingers of destruction. While they are definitely superhuman in ability, they are not, as legend has it, immortal. In fact, their mortality plays a great part in how fearsome they are. Kennooni are driven by an instinctual compulsion to seek out strong opponents to test their steel on as it is only possible for them to feel joy when they are facing a warrior strong enough to kill them. At all other times their emotions are neutral at best but mostly negative, ranging anywhere from constant rage to severe depression. In Orin's case this manifests as a nihilistic and cynical outlook on all around him. He is surprisingly tame for one of his kind though. whereas some other kennooni are known to attack any warrior or even innocents indiscriminately, Orin only has interest in those he believes can give him a good fight (or anyone stupid enough to attack him first). However, should he find anyone of such strength, he will pursue them to no end until they agree to face him in mortal combat, even going so far as attacking their loved ones if they persistently refuse in order to goad them into battle. That being said, Knenooni get stronger with each of their kills (to be more precise, their status as spirits of war makes them incredibly adept at learning fighting techniques just by watching them, effectively increasing their lethality every time they face a new opponent and survive the encounter. even if they do not incorporate their opponent's moves into their skillset after the battle, their acquired understanding of the techniques allows them to better read and counter any later similar fighter) so it has gotten rare for Orin to find anyone who excites him anymore.
Bio/History:
For as long as Orin has remembered he has been a wandering sword. He was never gripped by the same mad bloodlust that struck others of his kin, causing them to go on wild rampages until some human finally managed to put them down. Orin actually managed to pass by unnoticed for a Kennooni most of the time as he exclusively hunted those who could give him a good fight. Those who would make him put his life on the line during their duel. Though Kennooni do not make a habit of counting the years since their birth (age is irrelevant to them, they were born to kill, and shall kill until they are killed. How many times the winter comes between those two points doesn't matter to them) he does remember having been brighter when he was younger (relatively speaking anyways). He would look forward to every new fight and would rush impatiently to find someone else who could excite him after each kill.

After he had made a name for himself as a powerful hunter of elites however, he came a cross a woman, a bandit from the south who had formed her own guild and had heard there was a nice price placed on Orin;s head from the employer of one of his former victims. A woman who remains to this day the only person to have ever defeated Orin in combat. The woman had proved herself a powerful enough warrior not only to defeat the kennooni but even subdue him without killing the spirit. By the time the battle had ended, the woman had enjoyed herself enough to grow to respect the fearless demon of the sword and decided to spare his life rather than collect the bounty. Orin was at both times overjoyed to have found someone so powerful, and furious that he had not been killed by the one who bested him. He became obsessed with the bandit queen and hunted her down relentlessly once his injuries healed. He had managed to track her down a few months later and once again challenged the elusive bandit, but even having become stronger than before, he was again defeated and left within an inch of his life to heal and chase after the bandit queen again.

And so a strange romance developed between the demon and the mysterious, seemingly human woman who continuously defeated him, revealing more and more of her seemingly infinite power and combat ability every time he challenged her again. His initial frustration at not being killed subsided, and Orin grew to enjoy the simple fact that he could experience the thrill of facing a truly great opponent over and over again. Though Orin does not know how many years passed in that time, he knows that he and the woman duelled a total of seventeen times, each but the last one having ended in a loss for him. The last battle was a tie that left the both of them unconscious (though the queen's guildmates retrieved her body before either could wake up). After this final duel, Orin finally felt ready to end things with his long time rival and love. However, he was never able to find her again afterwards. Searching all over the land for her, the woman who has been his rival couldn't be found anywhere. Eventually he became frustrated and tracked down the location of her guild's headquarters, going on a rampage through the bandit base and interrogating everyone he came across as to her location. However they all did nothing but feed him a lie about her passing away when she had contracted an illness while recovering from their last duel. Refusing to believe that his rival could die such a common death, Orin slaughtered every member of the guild in the first time he was ever overcome by the mindless rage so endemic to many of his kind.

After this Orin resumed his wandering travels, always looking for his rival. While he has met several powerful warriors who gave him interesting fights since then, he has stopped looking forward to these conflicts as none can compare to the pleasure he felt facing the bandit queen. He doesn't know how he arrived in this all too flowery and happy kingdom, only that he woke up there one day while on his travels. He figures however that whatever force brought him to Astareon may also have caused the disappearance of his lover in his own world, and intends to continue his search here now.
Other details: His own sword and the gauntlet he wears are nigh indestructible as the metals they are made from are made of his own power. Though not completely impervious to damage, only equally powerfully enchanted items can even hope to destroy them. While he never uses his own sword with both hands, he is incredibly proficient at dual wielding and will often hold a mundane weapon in his off hand in conjunction with his black sword.

Name: Sharak (pronounced Sha-Rack)
Age: over 1000 years old.
Gender: Male
Species: Dragon.
Physical Description: height of around 2 meters and a half.Huge, golden scales, tail with 3 sharp ivory spikes. Ivory claws and teeth that can tear through iron. Wing span of 10 meters.
Personality: Evil, wants the destruction of mankind. Vengeful, angry. Will stop at nothing to fufill his goals.
Bio/History: Sharak was on of the dragons that existed a long time ago. He was on of the tribe's many leaders until the humans and other races wanted to overthrow the dragons and they succeded. The flying lizards that were to stupid or too courageous died in battle whilst those like Sharak decided to hide within the mountains to keep safe from the other beings that wanted them dead. Even if the others told the dragons that hide away were cowards the wise protected them selves. Sharak and the others had to take a millenium long slumber to better protect themselves. Over time some dragons that did not die from the genocide fell to the cruel hinters and summers for the next 1000 years. Many were discovered and killed by humans while others keept themselves away. Soon few flying beasts were left and Sharak awakened. He knew not alot have survived and his once massive army would be reduced to a small group. He claimed vengeance on his family and race.
Other details: Sharak can spit fire and his spikes, teeth and claws can cut through solidbrick. His only weaknesses is that when angered he will go into a super rage where he will black out and attack everything faster, stronger and fiercer. He can fy in the air with his massive wingspan for more than 3 days straight only stopping for water and food. His scales are impenetrable, breaking any sword or blade that tries to cut it. Sharak's only true weakness is poising from the inside and a powerful blow to a glowing stone between his eyes instantly killing him.

Age: 300 years of existence, 20 of sentience
Gender: Male
Species: Tigerachnid
Physical Description: At nine feet standing, with a twenty foot leg span V is a giant spider with very soft tiger fur over chitin, and glowing green eyes.
Personality: Quick to judge, animalistic, he's fun loving and curious, loyal to his friends and likes to help those in need. He's just as much a cat, as he is a spider and a person.
Bio/History: V doesn't remember his hatching, he does remember the fight for survival he had with his fellow hatchlings, as the fifth of his siblings to be named he is the sole survivor of his species. He does not know it, but none of those memories are real, he was created by a being of immense power, and granted false memories to fill his mind. He had first found his existence on an Island filled with monsters and beings fighting for survival. How he managed to escape he attributes to the will of his god, an entity called Horatio. Horatio is a god, in power and ability only, as it is a man made construction, that has developed a will, and the ability to alter reality as it see fit.
Other details: Close friends of his are allowed to ride on his back. His abilities involve improbability manipulation, as result of his creation he can speak to spiders, control spiders, and change the physical and chemical properties of the webs he produces. He does not fully understand human reasoning. He also has limited teleportation, which he cannot control the destination of, but does usually end up where he wants. He can breathe underwater, or it is suggested he can he may not need to breathe at all, and has mental control over his webs.
Picture (if you have one): Strangely no one has ever tried to draw a spider that has tiger fur. I of course, cannot draw a circle, let alone a fitting picture.

Not really, they don't capture the furriness, or tigerness, of it. (I've seen those same ones in my own searches.)
