orientation introduction
This tab is
IN-CHARACTER information for all approved Investigators. Each character has a chance to reply to a scenario happening around them in this tab. In the beginning, most Investigators will need to attend some form of Orientation that will teach them to understand everything about the BPA. Although some cases may vary, this is the general theme for this session. As we progress through the storyline, each tab idea may change.
important business
Early in the morning, the sun barely shone over the
San Diego landscape. The
Head of Human Resources at the
South California BPA Office was ready to start the day off right.
Rodrick Wells made sure to get his favorite cup of coffee for the morning activities. He had parked in
Lot A next to the beautiful oak trees that have been around the building since
1945. It stood two stories tall with a red brick exterior that shimmered with a peculiar aura. His office faced
Lot A on the second story, which is a perfect view for doing paperwork. He was not quite an official Council Member, but he had access to everything they did. His job was overseeing
Human Resources for all of the Bureau of Peculiar Affairs in California.
Rodrick's home was a few miles from the coast of
Southern California, and thus he spent most of his time in the
South Office. His first order of business was to debrief an Investigator on the procedures of applying for an extended license for military equipment. The hour was approaching eight o'clock, and it wouldn't be long before he met with Investigator
Declan York. Rodrick had gone over his case file and saw a military man with a lot of experience in the field. There seemed to be an underlying circumstance for their interest in the peculiar; however, he joined the organization by referral from a friend of the California BPA Headquarters in Los Angeles. There was much for them to discuss as the clock ticked on. All Declan would need to do is find Rodrick's office with a gold plaque reading '
Head of Human Resources' on it.
dealings with the dark
The
East Coast was home to many spin-off locations of
The Bureau of Peculiar Affairs. There were bizarre events that had a lasting impact on which subsequent laboratories and research stations were erected for future use. Close to the border of
Salem, Massachusetts was the small town of
Hillvale. Within this town, an investigator assigned to the
BPA Cultural Center named
Derek Loveless was taking care of general duties in the building when he felt a chill run down his spine. The old auras from the past haunt the land all around this area of
Massachusetts. Real witches were left to wander free as the innocent were condemned. That time in history was a brutal one, and the center
Derek worked at managed all the resources related to uncovering the truth about the
Witch Trials. On this day,
Derek would be working with a unique agent known as
Hullen Shook. This man was said to be part peculiar himself, but
Derek wasn't one to judge quickly. He needed to take his time with
Hullen and coach him on the history. One should be the most prepared when trying to fight the dark forces hiding in the shadows. There was a mention of an incident with the new agent's family, but
Derek didn't like knowing too much information ahead of time; he still enjoyed a good conversation to get to know a person. For now,
Derek Loveless would unlock the doors to the
BPA Cultural Center and let in the few employees that started their shift at the opening. He wasn't sure when exactly
Hullen would show up, he just knew that the man would need his help if he wanted to get somewhere in his case.

peculiar water
It was a wintry morning at the edge of
Lake Superior in
Duluth, Minnesota. Light gray clouds filled the sky, threatening to expel snow upon the frosty ground. Most people couldn't tell, but the Lake was home to several unique entities. The
Bureau of Peculiar Affairs had set up an observation unit along the Nothern rim of the Lake to keep an eye on these creatures. They weren't harmful, per se; however, they had an exceptional secret that the BPA wanted to monitor.
Council Member Calvin Lackley went to this outpost as the head of the observation unit. His regular haunt was the
Minnesota BPA Headquarters in
Minneapolis.
However, in the past two years, Calvin took the lead in researching odd occurrences on the massive Lake aptly named Superior. In the short time; he had been on this case, he had managed to figure out that the water that makes up the Lake was peculiar indeed. It was causing the local wildlife to transform into intriguing specimens. Overall it would take more time and research to understand and deal with the situation at
Lake Superior. Calvin checked his watch and looked up as the sound of vehicles pulled in closer to the
Observation Unit. He had requested several supplies and an assistant from the main office to start working with him on this project. He knew they had more work to discover why there was mysterious water here at
Lake Superior. The papers for the assistant had her named "
Marit Folstad", it seemed a foreign name but Calvin couldn't be too sure of it. Hopefully, his new assistant will be beneficial to the work being done here.

future of technology
The late morning sun momentarily peaked through clouds onto the
New York landscape.
Albany was a hub of influence and technology that rivaled
New York City.
Gorgiena Butler was a
BPA Tech Specialist who took her job very seriously. She engineered and tested technology for the
Bureau of Peculiar Affairs and their many endeavors. On this day,
Gorgiena would be meeting with an Observation Agent that had gone through a lot. Although she wasn't a super genius, she had finally made some headway on a project for discrete film lenses that not only showed things that others couldn't but took detailed photos and videos of the events occurring. At the
East York BPA Laboratory,
Gorgiena had set up a test station and other materials for the procedure when the man known as
Peter Monroe would finally get here. It wouldn't be very long before the clock would strike eleven. The
Tech Specialist was clad in a clean white lab coat that trailed past her knees, and her curly brown hair was swept up in a tight bun that let no hair astray. She prided herself on being as professional as possible, regardless of the subject matter she dealt with daily. The laboratory itself was a massive three-story building with a room for every type of test and experiment you could think of. The front desk usually had to help newcomers through the place. The test lab that
Gorgiena was in happened to be two hallways past the front desk on the first floor. She checked her watch and fiddled with the various examples of her creation. Once
Mr. Monroe had arrived, they could begin the testing.
getting started
The morning sun wore a shroud of thick gray clouds that misted
Portland,
Oregon, with cold rain.
Madison Gulff was a beloved secretary of the
Oregon BPA Headquarters, and she enjoyed these wet mornings more than most. It always seemed to stir up the peculiar aura and sent many new investigators her way. Madison was the first point of contact for anyone who so happened to stumble upon their red-bricked building. Most were there for a reason, only a few didn't need the BPA services, and thus she would politely let them know it was a government building and that if they didn't need anything, they would have to leave. Madison sighed as a small gust of wind washed the window with tiny droplets. She had a sense of a person just by the first impression. The woman certainly could guess the intention of those who walked in. Perhaps if she trained her intuition hard enough like the investigators, she would sense more; however, she was just a lowly secretary; and her position was to give out information, not learn how to fight peculiars. Whenever would she find the time to do this outside of the office? As the woman lamented her life, the door blew open with a strong gust of wind. A man with dark curly hair came into her view, and she straightened up her stance. Madison cleared her voice and smiled at him.
"
Hello, how may I help you?" she peered at him, judging with her abilities whether or not he was of use to them.
the coin of silence
In another wing of the
Bureau of Peculiar Affairs Headquarters in
Richmond, Virginia, there was a well-known foreign transfer known as
Vox Zéro, and he was unique in many ways, but most of all, he was mute. Although one would think this disability would create a terrible Communications Agent; however it was the exact opposite. The silence that yawned before this man allowed the peculiar to settle in and reveal themselves. An
Assignment Coordinator by the name of
Joseph Rodriguez was in charge of giving this investigator his new assignments. He wasn't entirely sure what to think of this large man and his intriguing peculiar weapon.
Joseph just knew that the foreign government from which Vox came gave him the highest honors, and that was all that mattered. It was difficult to distinguish the meaning behind
Vox's silent demeanor and cryptic notes. It would take time for them to become more acquainted. The
Coordinator's office was filled with modern and contemporary furniture that held fabrics in various shades of gray and tan.
Joseph had an array of case files splayed out in front of him and the two companions the higher-ups wanted
Vox to start work immediately, even though he hadn't been in the
USA very long. It would take some time to examine which case was best suited for them.
