A Call to Action
The Monarch of
Castraia was eager to see the turnout of adventurers that heeded his call to action. He knew they would all require supplies and aid for the mighty tasks ahead. He didn't know what the prophecy meant by Soul Slates, but hopefully, they could crack the code soon enough. Later that evening,
Straxus Mcvoy would explain to all the candidates and allow them to speak their peace. Depending on what they said, he would narrow the final group down and send them on their way. For now, he was getting preparations ready for the evening. He had a team of scholars working on understanding the prophecy better, and hopefully, they could find clues to how to solve it. For now, he would busy himself with tedious work as the time ticked on.

Cassidia and
Vaughn were in for an uneventful journey. Although, the decaying landscape was startling, to say the least. Everything was crumbling around them, and it seemed the gods could not do anything to stop this. Who knew what other kinds of disasters await them as they uncover what this prophecy means. It wasn't a particularly long trek to the Capital from
Malfist Province. However, the terrain was rocky and jagged with steep cliffs and short bursts of trees woven between the path and these mountains. The landmark that would tell them they were close is a temple dedicated to one of the many gods. For now, the priests and priestesses who take care of the temple were huddled inside praying on what to do. How much time would it take to reach the Capital Castle? At they had each other to occupy the time between provinces.

The news about the Prophecy was ringing around all nearby villages, inns, and provinces. The idea of being able to prove yourself and save the world was a mighty fine proposition to the folks of
Castraia. It wouldn't be long before everyone would be gathered within the walls of the
Capital Province. There were several attendants for the Monarch about, and they were directing those who wish to prove themselves to the main courtyard of the Capital Castle. This place was where Straxus would gauge who had the might to carry out this quest and prevail. Not everyone had a chance at glory. The couple
Zhiqiang and
Yingjie would arrive at the capital soon enough. All of their training would help them show the Monarch that they could be perfect to go on this quest. Perhaps their swords skills would come in handy. An attendant nearest the entrance ushered more folks towards the courtyard by the castle. At the moment, there were lots of shouting and showing off as more people gathered.

An attendant happened to notice two women bumping into each other and hurried over to help out. He chuckled and waved his hands towards the courtyard entrance.
"You both seem like the adventuring sort, so why don't you join the event?" He clasped his hands together and spoke again.
"By the god's grace, the Monarch will pick the perfect team to fulfill the prophecy and save our world!" He sighed at the thought and returned his gaze to the two ladies.
"If you want an escort, I am more than obliged to help you two...?" He trailed off hoping for them to offer their names.

With the events being held soon,
Straxus Mcvoy knew he had to pick the very best team. A team who could help solve the prophecy and undo the Ancient curse that curdles the land. The events he planned would test the skills of the people who came to the call. Only the best would prevail.
