You stop reading the excerpt about mythical lore and history. It's not what your focus is right now. What is at your attention is the exciting scenery and information that Brazil has the highest number of both terrestrial vertebrates and invertebrates of any country in the world. The Amazon, The Cerrado, it was all about to be at your fingertips. Life was too good to be true, for whatever reason fate found you and stroked you with impact of fortune. To have a job...an actual job that pays you to tour the world, professional tourism. You've been various places already, or maybe you're just starting. Your team has experience of diverse proportions and places. But this...this was one that stands out. Because it is here, that the Black Green has been resurfaced.

The Black Green was once thought to be the final resting place and haven for the lost Mayans long ago. History prints that their travels ended in Central America a la Mesopotamia, but there are few...very few primary sources that mention another location, as deep as the South American Green. Known as the Negro de Verde, or Black Green to most people. And out of all the branches of the tourism agency, of all experiences and people. You were selected to go. You've been scheduled to meet with some of the Brazilian locals as well as some third party groups and organizations to convene and organize the very first tour into the Negro de Verde.

This is the OOC to the horror-thriller posted from my interest check. For all of you who are interested, please be respectful and mindful of all Iwaku rules, and human kinship and decency. Drama OOC will not be tolerated.

Rules: ​

1. It's a horror. You know death will be on the horizon. If you make NPCs or even close characters to your characters ALL are subject for death at any time. As far as the main characters. IC post decisions will influence their final fate, be rational and be relative to the situation. Things will be fine.​
2. No Mary // Gary sues in horror aspects. No martial arts on a ghost/demon/whatever the threat is (hehe).​
3. Romances are allowed in a sense. Rivalries / Drama allowed. This will not follow the Stereotypical Horror list for killing people first lol.​
4. You will be provided clues as to what this person/thing is as the RP progresses. Pay attention to the details. This will also be a quasi-psychological thriller as well.​
5. If your main character dies, you have the option to bring an NPC to the main slot, or create a new character.​
6. I'm going to be posting some VERY EXTREMELY CREEPY AND SCARY pictures, GIFs, and music in the RP, so be forewarned if you're Rping this at night lol.​

Bio: Cheney was born and raised in the swiss hillsides of Montpelier, Vermont. Ever since she was a little girl she'd always had an affinity for the outdoors, often wanting to leave the house and explore the grasslands around her home as young as 8 years old. Her mother would constantly have to call her back or find her had they not kept an eye on her while she "played with friends". Her mother, Tera Steppenson worked as a head manager at an animal shelter for most of her life, getting a fairly decent wage to provide for her daughter as much as she could. Cheney's father was deployed overseas in the Army while she was born. He died by an unseen IED that was on a road deemed cleared by intel reports. Tera told Cheney that she gained her sense of adventure from her father, but she retained her mother's intelligence.

The love of adventure and animals passed down to Cheney, as she'd often explore around her area and find & interact with the animals and wildlife around her. In school was no different, she pushed herself to explore new areas of information and knowledge, never falling below an AB average all the way through high school. She enjoyed sports a bit as well, playing volleyball and running track that helped get her a full ride to Stanford University on the other side of the country. There she majored in Social Science with a concentration in World Societies & Anthropology. She also minored in Computer Science. After making the Deans List for four semesters, she was invited to attend a one-year internship at Google, where she learned advanced coding skills and began to take interest in GPS all over the world. She soon begin to link her love for exploration and her technical skills into one as she found the perfect job: professional tourism. She could see the world AND map it in her field. After Google she applied and was accepted in no time with her resume to PTTS, having an internship there her Senior year at Stanford. For her senior project, she began to comprise a thesis on the lost places of the world: Atlantis, Roanoke, and The Negro de Verde. The research thesis was going swimmingly...until she made ground with something that would change her reputation forever. Through sources she looked up she found that a primary source actually revealed that the Negro de Verde though being in the Brazilian forests, cited a civilization called "La Mayan de la Sol" or the Mayan People of The Sun. The same Mayans who were lost after the Mesopotamian Era. This changed the game. It was then she refocused her entire thesis. The Black Green is what she called it. This interest sparked awareness throughout the academic and professional community.

Now...present day, the PTTS has selected a team of tourists and collaborates with a team of outside members around the area, and it was all sparked by Cheney's motivation, which gained her a promotion as on official PTTS cartographer, her first sponsored tour being...The Black Green.

Many of those who have known him for a while, always describe two sides of Caden. The first side is the quiet, strong work ethic workhorse. Who keeps everything for the group in order. Block it out of their memory and can easily forget their ties to the spiritual world. That's what happens to most mediums to be. Then there are others like him, who run towards the danger. But by an old woman fortune teller, so high off of cannabis it was sometimes hard to tell if she was even in their reality any more. It wasn't that cannabis was his gateway drug. It's just that he enjoyed the experience. Being that teenager who was too edgy, angsty grim dark. Stressed out about circumstances other teenagers could only think of. Their world. Was this gateway between being high and being spiritual.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]He called it being an urban shaman. It wasn't cannabis that was the gateway. It was the chase. It was the crazy need to experience that feeling of being spiritual and high that he chased. [/BCOLOR]
