There are powers out there that, when they pop up, they really don't leave any room for questioning. It just happens with undoubted occurrence that often ends either badly or leaves the individual embarrassed. Fourteen year old Fox could not have been more embarrassed to literally be at baseball practice and suddenly have the entirety of his body just burst into flame, then freeze, then do that all over again. The power itself wouldn't be half embarrassing if the sudden heat didn't literally turn his skin into molten lava, thus completely melting any clothing he wore. The likely cause probably had to do with the excitement, adrenaline, and perfectly natural biology occurring all at once.
The essential basis of this particular ability covers the entirety of Fox's body, rendering him immune to any kind of extreme temperature. Well, most any kind, as he hasn't quite tested the threshold of dropping his body heat below 50 Kelvin, so he doesn't know if he'd survive dropping it completely to absolute zero or if he'd even survive that environmental temperature in the first place. The highest threshold Fox can achieve, at the moment, would be around close to 7000 Kelvin, almost hot as the star Altair, the brightest star in the Aquila constellation, which is enough to melt most metals. This, however, isn't instantaneous and takes a huge deal of focus to be able to achieve, as well as a great deal of time. The hottest Fox can get in an instant would probably be just a little over 700 Kelvin, 1/10th times what he's able to achieve. On the opposite spectrum, Fox can reach about 50 Kelvin minimum and instantly achieve around 175 Kelvin. It takes Fox much longer to drop temperature than it does to increase.

Well, super speed is pretty self explanatory. Fox is able to reach max speeds of 34,029 m/s, which is around 122504 kph/76120.7 mph, breaking Mach 100, literally annihilating the sound barrier by 100 fold. Due to this, Fox has an increased metabolism and near perfect homeostasis; it also helps that he's able to regulate his body temperature. Along with that, there are specific innate abilities that Fox possesses to be able to withstand such speeds, increasing his durability to withstand breaking the sound barrier, as well as inhuman reflexes and eyesight. There are plenty of other things keeping Fox stable at such high speeds and even more he has no idea about while he gains more experience and control over his powers.

Standing at around 6'2", Fox can't help but be as well fit and built as he currently is—he's got a runner's body, after all. With accelerated metabolism, he keeps his physique in tip top shape while also being able to and having to eat vast, vast amounts of food. Not only that, but he requires a large amount of exercise to keep from storing all that energy he builds up. Regardless of those facts, Fox takes a lot of pride in his physical appearance which is most definitely in due part because of his biological father. Being materialistic and shallow can definitely be attributed to genetics, in this case. Which is exactly how Fox carries himself, with a nearly narcissistic suave. As well, he takes his after his father in many other ways, including the expressiveness of his face, but those eyebrows of his are definitely all Fox.

Blue eyes and a pretty smile are all a guy needs these days. Regardless of that, Fox has very, very distinct eyebrows and rather plump limps that definitely aid in that smile of his. Smiles are everything, really. But that perfect, tanned complexion does have its blemishes (a few moles here and there), including the large, diagonal scar marking his torso that literally circles his entire body to connect at his left shoulder, which will be covered in his history.

Fashion! Fox may not be the most high fashioned dresser, but he does take it very, very seriously. Definitely a lovely dresser, Fox dresses in a very business casual manner, lacking jackets with his suits and even going in so far as wearing converse with perfect slacks and a vest. Fox does tone it down occasionally, but even then he could be considered a little overdressed.

Honestly, it's not that awful to be considered an exact copy of your father, when your father is practically sex on feet. Well, maybe not that much like his father. Whereas his father could practically be interchangeable with Han Solo, Fox tended to vary on the gentlemanly, suave side of charisma. Well, that doesn't really matter when there's literally one goal and that's getting into someone's pants—Fox is just has more tact and subtlety to his romantic endeavors. Unlike his father, Fox doesn't have commitment issues and likely wouldn't take years of on and off dating to finally get his head out of his ass and settle down with a guy. And don't get his mother started on how infuriating that, plus juggling a baby got.
Regardless of their close resemblance, Fox definitely defers from his father quite a bit. He is his own person after all. A clever young boy with a penchant for literally being an asshole—not the kind that's actually a terrible person, but more of the kind people get frustrated over. Those tricky son of a bitches that have no idea when to stop, but when does Fox ever stop? As energetic as he is, Fox literally has to continuously be moving and it can be irritating to deal with. In actuality, Fox lacks confidence in himself and his abilities and covers that up with undeniable obnoxiousness or charisma, or both. Though he is a gentleman at heart, Fox honestly has no real self-esteem to fall back on and no actual experience on wooing men. Of course, that's definitely not what he'd tell his father, as the man is practically what he bases his confidence on. Disappointing either of them would be like stabbing Fox twenty-three consecutive times, regardless of the fact that both parents are practically screw ups themselves and would likely not give a flying fuck about Fox's own failures. But, Fox is unable to see past what he is capable of doing and runs himself into the ground trying to achieve something that's already been done countless times. His parents are proud of him, Fox just can't ever see that.

Of course, life does stop for the surrounding people—the people that person touched in his or her life. For Fox, life didn't stop for him, but he did witness it stop for everyone around him. His mother touched a lot of people; she loved a lot of people. In their suffering, he suffered. He didn't lose someone, he lost the opportunity to know someone and that was something he'd resent well into his teenage years.
Decisions in Fox's life revolved around that one choice. Giving up everything in order to save it all. It should have been someone else, someone without anything to lose. Because what's right for other people isn't for someone else and that's selfish. Selfish, selfish thinking. Fox didn't want to think about what could have happened or what could have been different because that point in time could never be changed.
But, Fox grew up with a family, even without his mother and though he hated losing what could have been, he was more than content with what he had. That didn't stop the feeling of inadequacy or the rage or the irrationality. Fox lost something he hadn't yet gained and knowing that into his teenage years, having everyone remind him how amazing his mother was—each reminder was a stab in the gut. That's why being a hero never came easily to him, but it was also why being a villain was even more difficult. Right and wrong seemed too muddled up and the fact that one of parents knew that too well just reinforced that fact.
Did that parent know it, too.
They called him Swan Song for a reason. Roland Ross Chesterfield went through the runs of a regular kid—no tragedy, no awful memories, no abuse, nothing out of the ordinary. Aside from the fact that his father left him and his mother to go do superhero stuff. More like, he left them because they were ordinary, average, insignificant. If anyone knew Fox's situation, Roland came the closest. One would honestly expect the kid to inherit some kind of power, and that's the main reason his father staid for so long. But they waited and waited and nothing came of it. Essentially Roland was a disappointment and he lived with that every day of his life.
That fueled the man. It drove him with rage and power until he became a force to be reckoned with. A man with unmistakable skill and a penchant for taking what job he could regardless of morality. And Roland definitely didn't start off on the right end of the law. Dubbed the Hero Killer for years, upon years, Roland mostly took on jobs that involved assassinating supers with extreme prejudice. Damn was he amazing at his job, too. It was there that he met Rowena Horowitz before her incident and failed countless, countless times to off her. That, in itself, formed a rivalry between them that eventually ended off squarely. They had insurmountable respect for each other and even had one or two romantic excursions, until Rowena found Perseus and pursued a life with him.
That lady took people into her family at a drop of a hat.
Life works wonders to build things up and then tear it all down. Rowena built a life for herself and her family. She loved fully and intensely and wholeheartedly that the choice, the sacrifice, it became obvious. There was no doubt what and who she'd become; things were prophesied and preordained. That didn't stop it from hurting or her from loving. The archetype of a superhero; she was the paradigm. People wanted her help and people wanted her dead. Someone like her garnered a lot of attention and that attention grew continuously. But, Rowena, in her arrogance and pride, knew when to be humble—otherwise, she'd not have settled down like she did.
Meeting Perseus, well, that was very interesting. Such a model hero did not live up to expectation, in fact he tended to shatter that and willingly. A man like him, dressed like he was, doing what he did for a living, no one expected a ratty, promiscuous, foul mouth scoundrel. And no one had any clue what Rowena saw in him. Their meeting was just this side of unorthodox and they hadn't any clue who the other was until very, very late into what could be called a relationship. And no one let them live Nuremberg down. That practically melded into the foundation of the entirety of history.
Regardless, Perseus was a man with unfortunate circumstances. Well, a man who both put himself in unfortunate circumstances and had life force him into them. Many knew him for the face he put on, but not many knew him outside of his own get up. He honestly preferred that. The titular characteristic of a superhero: being irrevocably fucked up. Many heroes tended to gain their powers via genetics, in fact about 90 percent of heroes were genetically gifted. There, however, were a few outliers—disregarding self-made heroes who lacked powers—that gained their powers in various different ways. By the power of Chekov's Gun, Perseus had the fortune of being one of these outliers.
Time manipulation is very, very tricky business. Perseus doesn't necessarily have control over time, but is able to dilute any area around him in order to accelerate or decelerate it appropriately. To counteract any form of abuse, there are moments in time and areas within the universe that contain slips or cracks. Should Perseus somehow abuse his powers, the consequence was usually opening these cracks on top of him. Of course, they always did so once a month or so and usually lasted a week, a lot of the time less and if he didn't particularly adhere well to space-time continuum rules, they either occurred more frequently or for a longer span of time. Essentially, they'd drop him anywhere and anytime they were in the mood in—in fact, this was also the way he gained control over gravity, i.e. he was literally dropped in the middle of a particle accelerator for a few seconds before being slammed back, radiation and all, into his home. Rowena helped stabilize him.
Lesson learned: don't piss off a god of time after gaining their favor. It doesn't ever end well.
Regardless, both Fox's parents earned a name for themselves within the universe itself and gained a numerous set of allies and enemies in their stead. Having a family didn't stop their heroics either, but they always, always made time to care for Fox as he should be. Unfortunately, that didn't last long for Rowena. Fate sought to take her away before Fox could even remember her. The exact event had the fate of the universe on the line, though not many knew that. A total reality collapse and one entire planet worth of people fueling that. Things blurred there. Various deities sought to bestow a part of themselves within one individual, but they would have to choose that person. That person would be fated until the end of reality itself to stand as a guardian over the entirety of the multiverse, unable to interfere unless another event of this particular scale arose. They would be gone forever. Ascended into a being of nigh omnipotence. And with it they'd become one thing and lose themselves with it.
At that moment, Rowena knew it to be her. They denied her proposal, but the gods didn't. In an instant, in a flood of golden tears and a flash of celestial light, Rowena transcended mortality, godhood even. And in that instant, an entire race of people blipped out of existence and with it their universe destroying planet. The Rowena they knew and loved died that day, gone in a blinding light with but a few words of parting.
Fox lived knowing that.
But how could he understand it?
Right and wrong seemed so convoluted. Something to justify actions—a means to and end. Heroes parading around in capes and villains rolling in their hate. It was a vicious cycle, one the masses took and fed on day in and day out. They wanted people to laud, freaks to call evil, and heroes to lead them. And it took a mother away from him, doomed a father to roll in and out of existence every two seconds, and another father in the same exact spot as him, except he had daddy issues that his daddy took to the grave, courtesy of Roland R.R. Chesterfield and his 22 caliber sniper rifle, Daisy Chain.
Honestly, everything was just a big fucking mess.

Time manipulation is very, very tricky business. Perseus doesn't necessarily have control over time, but is able to dilute any area around him in order to accelerate or decelerate it appropriately. To counteract any form of abuse, there are moments in time and areas within the universe that contain slips or cracks. Should Perseus somehow abuse his powers, the consequence was usually opening these cracks on top of him. Of course, they always did so once a month or so and usually lasted a week, a lot of the time less and if he didn't particularly adhere well to space-time continuum rules, they either occurred more frequently or for a longer span of time. Essentially, they'd drop him anywhere and anytime they were in the mood in—in fact, this was also the way he gained control over gravity, i.e. he was literally dropped in the middle of a particle accelerator for a few seconds before being slammed back, radiation and all, into his home. Rowena helped stabilize him.
Lesson learned: don't piss off a god of time after gaining their favor. It doesn't ever end well.
Regardless, both Fox's parents earned a name for themselves within the universe itself and gained a numerous set of allies and enemies in their stead. Having a family didn't stop their heroics either, but they always, always made time to care for Fox as he should be. Unfortunately, that didn't last long for Rowena. Fate sought to take her away before Fox could even remember her. The exact event had the fate of the universe on the line, though not many knew that. A total reality collapse and one entire planet worth of people fueling that. Things blurred there. Various deities sought to bestow a part of themselves within one individual, but they would have to choose that person. That person would be fated until the end of reality itself to stand as a guardian over the entirety of the multiverse, unable to interfere unless another event of this particular scale arose. They would be gone forever. Ascended into a being of nigh omnipotence. And with it they'd become one thing and lose themselves with it.
At that moment, Rowena knew it to be her. They denied her proposal, but the gods didn't. In an instant, in a flood of golden tears and a flash of celestial light, Rowena transcended mortality, godhood even. And in that instant, an entire race of people blipped out of existence and with it their universe destroying planet. The Rowena they knew and loved died that day, gone in a blinding light with but a few words of parting.
Fox lived knowing that.
But how could he understand it?
Right and wrong seemed so convoluted. Something to justify actions—a means to and end. Heroes parading around in capes and villains rolling in their hate. It was a vicious cycle, one the masses took and fed on day in and day out. They wanted people to laud, freaks to call evil, and heroes to lead them. And it took a mother away from him, doomed a father to roll in and out of existence every two seconds, and another father in the same exact spot as him, except he had daddy issues that his daddy took to the grave, courtesy of Roland R.R. Chesterfield and his 22 caliber sniper rifle, Daisy Chain.
Honestly, everything was just a big fucking mess.

♣ Okay, so, you know that thing about stereotypes? Well, Fox doesn't really like to adhere to them, except when he likes to adhere to them. Showtunes are his goddamn jam and he will fight a bitch who makes fun of him for it.

For example if she wanted something for class after forgetting it in her room, she could open a portal in her room, grab the item and return to class. She could also simply stick her head inside of a portal to survey an area, while the rest of her body remains wherever she is. She can also use portals to absorb an opponent's attacks and redirect them elsewhere. Her power is limited to only being able to travel to places she has seen.
She can also use these portals to fight her opponents. For example, she starts fighting someone larger than her, so she punches them once then uses a portal to appear behind them where she kicks them forwards, and uses a portal again to appear before them where she kicks them again and so on. Or instead of hitting, she can use her portal blasts or a mixture of both.

When she was born her mother wanted to give her up for adoption, but her mother's parents wouldn't have it. They wouldn't let Marcy, who was nineteen at the time, get away with such a massive mistake. They wanted her to care for the child and raise her to be a good person. They didn't abandon Marcy to her new duty, but they didn't hold her hand through the process either. Zoe's infancy was full of little mistakes and massive mistakes, like when her mother laid her in her crib face down instead of face up because she hadn't read that pregnancy book her mother had loaned her. If not for Zoe's powers, she would have suffocated to death. Of course, she was nearly gravely injured when she fell out of a portal three feet above the ground, but hey, it was better than SIDS.
Zoe's childhood wasn't any better, as her mother who was forced to retire from the superhero life, turned to drinking her sorrows away. She was never physically abusive to her daughter but she did ignore and neglect her constantly. Zoe grew up having to take care of herself and soon grew to resent her mother. That was when her father entered her life. Her father Derek Blake had been arrested right after Zoe's conception, as the union between he and Marcy had been a set up for his capture. At that time Marcy had been a rising superhero and she desperately needed a big capture to make her mark in the hero world, so she slept with Derek to get his guard down. She had taken the morning after pill immediately, but apparently super villain sperm was,
"A powerful fucking force."

When Zoe thought that her life could never turn around and get better, her father broke into her house and kidnapped her.
An odd way of trying to show your child that you mean no harm, and that you just want to provide and care for her, but prison had really affected Derek's people skills. Derek took Zoe to his hide out in [CLASSIFIED] and after introducing himself and repeatedly saying that, 'no, he wasn't going to violently murder her', he told her the story of her conception. Zoe was shocked at first, but not because of her parentage, but because of her mother's actions. Zoe decided then that she wouldn't be anything like her mother, and would instead take after her father, who was happy to teach her the ways of a Super Villain.

His dad could call canines to aid him in battle! His sister could make any canine submit to her with as little as a growl! His older brother could track a villain for miles with only a scrap of cloth to help him! And Derek!

He can turn into any type of dog though, and you know accompany you on your daily walk or act as your lap dog.
Needless to say, Derek was a huge disappointment to his family and is basically the black sheep of the Weiss household. But sweet Derek doesn't let that get him down! He loves his power and he doesn't mind that he isn't that strong. Being a superhero was never his dream, in fact he didn't want to even go to superhero high school, but his parents forced him to go in hopes that he would develop a stronger power.
