Alvie closed her eyes as Dante started to wipe the tears from her cheeks. She felt happy...but that faltered when she heard the bell ring. She knew that it was coming, but she didn't know that it was going to happen so soon. When he suggested that they should return the trays and head to class, she nodded and stood up, grabbing her tray to follow him inside the lunchroom. As she stepped inside, the place was in chaos as usual, people rushing to get to classes or messing around with their friends. On her way to drop her tray off, she felt someone slap her backpack and turned to glare at the person, only to see that they had run off. Shrugging her shoulders, she waited for Dante before setting her tray down, sighing a bit. She started daydreaming about the end of school already. Just then, she looked up to see a group of girls pointing and snickering at her as she walked by, making her raise an eyebrow slightly. Then, she remembered that somebody had slapped her backpack only a few minutes earlier before running off. Alvie swiftly shrugged off her backpack and looked over it, sure enough seeing a sticky note. On it, the words "No Good Cheat" and a winky face were written clearly in black marker. She growled slightly and tore the note from her bag, crumbling it in her hands. She was starting to get more than irritated with the other students and their childish behavior. It was just a stupid rumor...

Dante snapped out of his thoughts when he saw someone slap something onto her backpack, looking back towards the direction that person had come from, he couldn't spot anyone in particulary, but he could guess where that person had come from, seeing the group of girls pointing and snickering at Alvie. It took all he had not to snap then and there, but instead, he started walking faster, grabbing Alvie's free hand and pulling her along as gently as he could, as he walked along, sighing a little in frustration, he really did wish these rumors would just stop... Though knowing how most people were, those incessant rumors wouldn't be dying down that easily, so he'd have to figure out something at some point, but right now, he wasn't even sure how he'd make them die down. However, one thing that worked was to start new ones, however maybe this time, they wouldn't be nearly as malicious as the ones that had previously been spread, if they got around enough, maybe they'd forget about the previous rumors that had been spreading around.

Alvie felt as Dante grabbed her free hand, gently pulling her along. The irritation was clear on his face and she frowned a bit. She didn't want him to be dragged into anything, but she knew that if things didn't change, Antonio or somebody else would end up doing it. In high school, it seems, when you think you get out of something complicated, an even bigger problem arises. At least, that's what Alvie thought. As they continued walking, Alvie saw people looking at her and whispering to their friends. She felt her face heat up in both embarrassment and irritation. It seems like the rumor was spreading fast, like a wildfire. Gritting her teeth, she sped up her walking so that she was walking next to Dante, matching his pace. One thing she didn't do, despite the whispering as they walked by, was let his hand go.

Dante eventually just shot everyone who he saw whispering about Alvie the best withering look he could manage, trying to silence as many as he could starting to get tired of all of this. Noticing Alvie speed up her pace, he followed suit, walking as fast as he could, occaionally casting that withering look at anyone he heard whispering about them, he was really getting tired of all of this. Instead of saying anything to the others around them, he just gave Alvie's hand a little squeeze and kept walking, heading towards their class, not saying anything until they were away from most the people "Everyone just loves talking about these things don't they? If that's the case, we'll just have to fix that." he whispered to Alvie quietly, he didn't say anything else though as there were still too many people around them for that right now.

Alvie glanced up to see Dante's withering look he gave the other students. She felt protected, and even more so when she felt him squeeze her hand. Gently, she squeezed his hand back, trying to ease him a bit. Slowly, the started nearing their classroom, Alvie letting out a breath of relief of escaping the mass stares of the other students. Suddenly, she felt as Dante neared her ear, whispering to her. She nodded slowly before lifting her gaze to his, raising an eyebrow slightly. Then, she nodded, knowing that it probably wouldn't be wise for them to talk about a possible plan with everybody around. Instead, Alvie set her jaw and headed into the classroom, only letting Dante's hand go slowly as she moved to her desk. Slowly, she sat down and tore a piece of paper out of her notebook, writing on it. 'Discuss it after school?" she wrote down before slowly sliding it onto Dante's desk. She then started unpacking her things needed for the class period, the other students' whispers slowly starting to weigh her down.

As they went into their classroom, and Alvie let his hand go, Dante looked towards her as they sat down at their desks, seeing her write something down on a piece of paper she tore out of her notebook, and slid it onto his desk. Reading the note, he looked towards her, nodding and giving her a little thumbs up to let her know he got the message before putting it in his backpack for now, he couldn't risk leaving it laying around incase someone else snatches it before he could do anything about it. Soon, he decided to focus his attention on class for the time being, trying not to listen to the rumors still swirling around, it seemed Alvie was being bothered by that too, he sighed a little, looking around at the class for a moment before hooling back to Alvie with a sad expression. He really wanted to do something right here right now, but he knew it would be better if they'd planned things out first and waited unil after class, however at the rate things were going... He felt like he was going to go crazy before then.

When Alvie saw Dante's thumbs up, she smiled a bit and nodded. She watched as he looked around the room before turning his eyes to hers, a sad look on his face. The look sent a shock through her body and she returned the sad look, her eyes tearing up slightly. Then, she slowly nodded and locked gazes with him until the teacher started speaking. Alvie slowly turned her eyes to the front, holding a hand against her mouth as the tears started to build. She wouldn't let them fall though, she knew she would just be feeding the other student's what they wanted. Then, the teacher said something that caught her attention. "Partner up and read the textbook." she instructed before walking to her desk, opening her own book silently. Alvie watched as everybody stood up to partner with their friends. As she went to stand up, she saw a few girls start making their way to her. Gulping, she stood there, waiting for their blow. Instead they gave her a glare before snickering and turning to Dante to smile at him. Alvie growled and walked forward, shoving the girls out of her way before grabbing a desk and moving it in front of Dante's. Eyes closed, she sat down and pulled her textbook onto the desk. Opening her eyes again, she took a deep shaky breath and attempted a smile at Dante.

Dante had almost been caught in a rather embarrassing predicament when he saw a sizeabout group of girls make their way towards him, he started looking around for a possible escape route before he saw Alvie push through with an angry growl... He smiled a little, glad he didn't have to run or something as she had moved her desk up to his, he noticed she seemed a little distressed so he looked around for a moment to check if anyone was watching before he put his hand on hers, trying to comfort her. Right now, what they were doing made him feel surprisingly calm, something he didn't expect, but something he didn't object to either, he looked towards the other girls Alvie had bpushed back, narrowing his eyes at them to show he didn't exactly approve of what happened before. Though the question really had to be when he got this popular with them... Was it just other rumors, was it those fights with Antonio? He wasn't entirely sure, but he really hoped they wouldn't prove to be too big obstacles to overcome; they already had enough on their plates as is.

Alvie felt as Dante grabbed her hand. She smiled sincerely at him and her frustration start to melt away. She then watched as he turned to glare at the girls, making her smile a bit. The girls sat down in their group and began discussing about things not worth mentioning, as they were girly and quite annoying. Turning back to Dante, she listened as the students around her were mainly talking instead of doing their work. Not surprising to Alvie in the least. Taking a deep breath, she flipped open her textbook before looking back up at him. "Just when you think something's over, another obstacle seems to jump in the way, huh?" she asked, leaning her chin on her free hand, not wanting to move her other from Dante's.

Dante nodded, using his free hand to open his textbook a bit before looking back at Alvie, he couldn't seem to look away, nor did he want to at the moment... Though soon enough he had to, as he started on doing his work, sure, looking down occasionally, but he kept a hand on hers, smiling a little at her when he looked up at her to let her know he was still there despite writing and reading occasionally. "I guess we never get too many peacefull moments anymore these days..." He said, after he was done, looking up at her with a sad look, but it changed to a thoughtfull one soon enough "You think everyone knows about Antonio's relationship with that girl?" he asked her after a while, thinking for a moment... Perhaps that ought to clear things up a bit.

Alvie saw Dante start his work eventually, so she started as well. Looking up occasionally, she saw his smile which lead her to smiling too. Soon, he had finished and started talking. Alvie looked up as she listened, her smile slowly disappearing as she saw the sad look on his face. "Yeah...that's what it seems like, at least." she said softly, before seeing the thoughtful look replace the sad one. When he asked if others knew about Antonio's relationship, she raised her eyebrows. "I don't think so...it's kind of weird if he didn't though. Antonio's a guy who would boast about his new girlfriend. It's kind of strange...unless he's still trying to get at us." she thought, putting her free hand against her mouth as she furrowed her brow curiously. They had to figure this out soon, or else it would get harder to snuff out the rumors.

Dante frowned, he seemed to be thinking again, leaning onto his hand a little as he did so, if word didn't get around that Antonio was dating that girl... And there were rumors being spread around by others that they saw Alvie hanging around with him alone at night... Then, just maybe, Antonio got that girl to dress up as Alvie? Or perhaps she was mistaken for Alvie, and Antonio just played along? It was a seriously big leap, and something he wasn't completely sure of, but it was the most plausible explanation he could come up with, and looking towards Alvie again, he spoke in a really quiet voice. "Do you think Antonio's pretending that girl is... You?" Dante said, deciding to come out with it, he looked around nervously, hoping no-one else heard him speak.

When Alvie listened to Dante's suggestion, she felt her blood run cold. Antonio, using his new 'girlfriend' to get back at her? It was a plausible accusation, and a well-thought out one as well. Alvie's eyes widened and she bit her lip slightly as she tried to calm down. Now, Antonio had gone way to far. He was probably using somebody for his plan, and it was really getting on her nerves. It took all Alvie had not to slam her textbook closed. She pressed her forehead against it and groaned softly, gently tightening her grip on Dante's hand. "He's terrible..." she said quietly, moving her free hand by her head and tightening it into a fist. "I think you're right..." she said, finally answering Dante's question. That had to be it...

"I-It might just be an honest mistake that he didn't want to correct..." Dante added quickly, seeming a bit nervous about all of this, he calmed down a little when he realized Alvie had tightened her grip on his hand, he smiled a little, trying to make the moment a bit less awkward. "I guess we'll find out for sure though... We have to, before things get too out of hand..." He said, looking more determined than he was worried, however there was a good mixture of both emotions on his face as he spoke. There was something really big going on behind the scenes somewhere, and they had to figure out just what it was, though how they were going to do that was another story, but of course they'd have to do some more planning after school, he didn't feel too safe discussing any plans here.

"That could be true too." she sighed, lifting her head to gaze at Dante. When he said that they needed to figure it out before it got too out of hand, she nodded slowly and let her eyes trace the ceiling lights. She knew that it would be even harder to get Antonio to leave her alone, but it was worth trying. Looking back down, Alvie saw the mixture of both determination and worry on his face. She bit her lip a bit and squeezed his hand to reassure him. "We'll talk about it more after school, I guess. While we train the kittens." she said, her smile slowly starting to return as she locked gazes with him.

@Serpentine
Dante nodded, smiling when Alvie mentioned training the kittens, squeezing her hand back, he felt calm again, looking at her with a calmer expression on his face, but quickly realizing what he was doing in class like this, he blushed a little, but didn't look away. Though soon enough, the bell rang, interrupting their moment, though they did have next period together as well, so they didn't have to worry too much about that, however, he did hope the next class would give them less trouble than this one... Despite the bell ringing, he didn't feel like getting up just yet as he had zoned out a little.

Seeing the calm expression on Dante's face made Alvie feel all the more relaxed. Then, as a blush crossed his face, she felt her own face heat up. She wondered if he was alright sitting with her like this. But, before she could ask, the bell rang, signalling their dismissal. Looking back to Dante, Alvie saw that he wasn't moving, sitting in a daze. As much as she wanted to stay there, she knew they would have to go to their next class. Looking around, she saw that most of the students were leaving. None were really paying attention to her for once that day. Alvie turned her gaze back to Dante and grinned. Before standing, she leaned forward and pressed a quick kiss against his cheek. Then, she stood up and giggled before grabbing her things and starting for the door. She made sure to wait by the door for Dante before walking out of the classroom, an unwavering smile on her face.

@york

Dante blushed a bit as he realized he had zoned out, feeling her kiss on his cheek made him smile despite the possibility that others may have seen this, grabbing his own things, he followed Alvie out the classroom, still smiling dreamily. Right now, he didn't seem to care if people were giving him wierd looks as he walked next to Alvie "Last period shouldn't be that hard... Right?" he said, trying to sound optimistic and smiling a little looking towards Alvie. He moved closer to her, not looking around to see if anyone was watching them this time, and instead, gently grabbed onto Alvie's hand, a new sense of determination flooded through him. He started on his way to their next class, making sure to walk at the same pace Alvie was, hoping he wasn't rushing ahead too much or anything.

Alvie smiled up at him, seeing the almost peaceful look on his face before responding. "Right, it shouldn't be too hard." she replied, tilting her head a bit at him. Then, to her delight, she felt him grasp her hand. When she looked up, she noticed that he didn't seem to be cautious about others before doing it. A slight blush rising to her cheeks, Alvie's smile grew before she took a breath. Deciding to go for it, she intertwined her fingers with his, making sure to match his pace. The worry about the other students melted away as she focused on Dante's presence beside her. If he was there, she didn't care about anything else that was bothering her. Giggling a bit, Alvie pressed her head against his arm for a second before lifting it once again, glancing up at him to flash him a smile.

The next few moments seemed to have calmed Dante down considerably, feeling Alvie press her head against his arm for a moment before she looked up, glancing at him as he glanced at her, he smiled back without hesitation. He was no longer blushing as he didn't feel too awkward about this, instead, he just felt really calm, it was almost as if everything was just right the way it was right now, or at least that was the feeling it gave him. Again, that dreamy looked was present on his face as he started to daydream a little, thinking about the wonderfull moments they've shared since that day they've met, they really did come a long way since then. There were many things he could reminisce on without feeling like he'd done something wrong, it made him forget about all those mistakes he'd made in the past.
