[fieldbox= , gold]The year is 2045, and the world is at peace. Downworlders live in a tense, but amiable, harmony with the Nephilim, while Mundanes remain blissfully unaware of either's existence. The Cold Peace, while still in effect, has been renegotiated by more moderate leaders to satisfy a new generation of Shadowhunters and old generations of bitter Faeries. In the East, however, many Downworlders remain wild and unwilling to cooperate with Shadowhunters, and have begun organizing against what they regard as the assimilation of their kind into a Nephilim-led hegemony. However, for the most part, these select Downworlders (calling themselves the Lords of Twilight) represent a generally inactive minority, and haven't done much to pursue their aims of freeing the world from Shadowhunters.
Recently, however, the situation has changed a great deal. The Institute in Budapest was burned down, the Shadowhunters within flayed and slaughtered before being hung outside the ruins by their ankles. Initially believing it to be a demonic incursion, Clave investigators and Centurions of the Scholomance were baffled when they discovered a message written in demonic runes across the chest of the head of the Institute: "The Twilight King rises." Even more disturbing, each of the slain Nephilim was left without a drop of blood in them, yet seemed to lack any marks characteristic of vampires.
In the weeks following the Budapest Incident, similar events occurred across the globe. Security was doubled in every major city, and a scrutinizing eye was turned towards Downworlder communities worldwide. Upon investigation, however, the Clave discovered that various major Downworlder groups were suffering similarly: Vampire clans decimated, werewolf packs butchered, and even Faeries of the Seelie and Unseelie courts murdered, all by an invisible and seemingly unstoppable enemy who usually leaves no survivors, and invariably left the same gruesome message.
An emergency assembly of the Clave, with the assistance of the Downworlder representatives, officially ordered the creation of a specialist group of Shadowhunters and Downworlders to hunt down the Lords of Twilight, who remain the only link to the so-called "Twilight King". Comprised of prodigious Shadowhunters, veteran Centurions, and a handful of Downworlders, this secret cell is faced with the daunting task of the elusive Lords of Twilight, as well as overcoming the rising tensions between Downworlders and Nephilim.[/fieldbox]

I'm looking for about seven players, and am aiming to get a balanced mix of Downworlders and Shadowhunters. I hope to see some interest soon!

- Obey the GM, rules, and Co-GMs (should they exist).
- Obey the laws of physics, for they rule us all.
- Be nice to others on the OOC (trash talk is fine, so long as it stays playful and not hurtful).
- No harassment.
- Stick to the limits of your character. Some battles can't be won with sheer force, and some can't be won at all.
- STAY ACTIVE. I cannot stress this enough. It's good to have a life and other RPs, but make sure to post on the OOC, have discussions, and enjoy your character on the IC!
- The writing level here is Intermediate-Adept. If I see that your CS is terribly written, I'll reject you on the spot unless you can fix it and maintain that standard throughout your time here.
- While not really necessary, some knowledge of the Shadowhunters universe would be valued.
