His response wasn't a surprise for her, in fact she had anticipated. She was on her own here and she would have no one looking out for her like her father and brothers. The people here would be against her, so that meant that she would have to constantly be watching her back. Heavens, her father had sentenced her to a horrible life. What wrong had she done to deserve this?
As they finally entered deeper into the camp, Kida noticed all the bones and the red decorating their tepees. Something told her that the red on their tepees wasn't paint and she had a guess as to what it really was. How could they live like this? It was as if their camp represented death.
The Blue Claw crouched on the ground watching them caught her attention and at his outburst, the girl's jaw dropped slightly before her gaze hardened. A few curses danced on her tongue, but she held back.
"Just leave it. I'm sure that was directed towards me, not you." Kida murmured, loud enough for him to hear.
