"Welcome to Beacon Academy"

"I'll...keep this brief. You have traveled here today in search of knowledge--to hone your craft and acquire new skills. And when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose – direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step."

"You will gather in the ballroom tonight; tomorrow, your initiation begins. Be ready. You are dismissed." Said Glynda Goodwitch as Professor Ozpin finished his speech. Most students spent their time till dusk wandering the campus to get a feel for it, while others spent it talking with their friends. Once the sun went down everyone gathered inside the ballroom like they were supposed to. The students got into their sleeping garments as well as doing their nightly routines. Some students passed out immediately while others kept talking with their friends about how excited they were, or how they were going to be missing their family. It wouldn't be for around an hour or so before the room settled down and became quiet.

The next morning exciting for most, and was normal for others considering they went to schools like this prior to coming to Beacon. Getting up, everyone cleaned up the areas they slept in and got dressed, before heading to the cafeteria for breakfast. Most people were already in groups that they hung out with, the rumors of getting partners floated around through everyone's ears people asking each other to be their partners. Everyone ate only guessing what was going to happen today partners or not. Once they all had their fill they were all called into the locker rooms to get their gear and weapons equipped, to be ready for the initiation, the students conversed as they did so.

She could feel them; the stares emanating from the other students made her claustrophobic and drove her anxiety into the ceiling with perceived thoughts of mockery and jeers. Ironically, it was the very gas mask she wore that caught the gaze of those passer-bys that she now used as a shield, trying her best to hide as much of herself as she could behind it. Pallor hated the stares, hated everyone around her, but most of all hated herself. These suffocating feelings brought her back to the helpless, abandoned child she was once, threatening to drown the foundation that Shaun laid out for her.

Eyes closed, she deeply inhaled as much as the mask would allow and slowly exhaled, allowing the filtered oxygen to ease her frazzled nerves. She pushed back those smothering feelings and projected them back as her mentor had taught her, paying hatred unto hatred, even if it was just through her stare. Mental walls erected, Pallor slunk down onto the floor against the wall, lessening the burden that traveling had placed on her limbs.

Her thoughts drifted to what awaited her the next morning, a spark of optimism lighting the darkness as she imagined happy things. She knew good and well that life was never simple but embraced the warmth that spark gave, even if it was just for the evening.

Today was the big day for the new students of Beacon Academy. Initiation day! Well technically it was tomorrow, but still ... it was here! One of the more colorful students, wonderfully named Rudolph, had already headed into the Locker Rooms as soon as he was instructed to do so. This was going to be a great experience for him. His entire family had gone to the Academy and now it was his turn to keep the Arcobaleno family's legacy alive and thriving in the halls of the academy. He was the youngest of the family and the one who they thought would never make it even this far. The only person that ever believed in Rudolph almost as much as he believed in himself, was his loving father. If it wasn't for that man, Rudolph wouldn't have his amazing weapon and awesome set of fighting techniques.

Speaking of his weapon. "Here you are beautiful." He grinned, his head of short and curly pink/blonde hair blowing in the slight wind. Securing his weapon around his waist, one fist on each hip, Rudolph looked around the room and watched everyone else get their weapons together. Rudolph hadn't met anyone he would consider a friend just yet. But with his personality and flamboyant mannerisms, he was bound to connect with a few people soon enough.

"I am soo nervous but soo ready to do this." Rudolph spoke into his open locker. He didn't know where to start making conversations. He saw a few people around that looked pretty nice, but his usual insecurities started growing inside of his mind.

What if people thought he was odd because of his hair or the way he dressed? What if people didn't take a liking to his over the top attitude and overly dramatic mannerisms? He stood in front of his locker for a few moments, trying to think up the best way to make a friend or more before teams were assigned. Hopefully he would be assigned with a good group of friendly people; that's all he could hope for at this point.

As Braith walked around the campus the previous day, she often found herself being stared or watched. This was most likely the result of being as tall as she was. Or that she had graduated at the top of her class at her previous school, she was well known but not necessarily famous for it. She came to the conclusion that people were staring for both reasons rather than one or the other.

After the orientation Braith preferred to just read while she waited. By the time she was finished with that book it was already nightfall. Going into the ballroom she stayed up a while longer before going to sleep.

The next morning she awoke like everyone else excited for the initiation. Though she didn't really show it. She ate at a moderate pace studying those around her, she noticed how many different types of people came here. People of different origins, races (bit of a stretch), and statuses. As she finished eating Braith started to head over to the locker room.

Making it to the locker room she found she stood out a bit more with her outfit. Reaching into her locker she reached in and pulled out her Sword/Mini-gun. Shifting her weight over to one side Braith leaned slightly against her sword as she braced it with the ground as she stared in no one place in particular.

Her body cried in dull throbs, alerting her that she had slept in an awkward position again. It was a familiar feeling, but it reminded her that she had promised herself she would try to sleep "normally" before. What was another broken promise to oneself, anyway? It didn't take long for the stares to return, but Pallor's mind was too fuzzy from sleep to care for the time being. Only when the fuzziness was gone would she raise her walls to stave off the panic.

Breakfast was uneventful, as she ate by herself in private, just as her morning cleanliness routine was just as uneventful. The hot water had felt nice and the cool air on her face was a godsend before she was forced to hide beneath the molded plastic and metal of her mask.
Her last stop before the initiation was to her locker to retrieve her things, as few as they were. Her jacket where her dust was stored, her goggles with one cracked lens, and of course, her Daisy Pusher, stored into its compact trench shovel mode and sheathed into its holster.

As she donned her possessions, she took notice of the excitement filling the room. Many of the others spoke of partners and friends, many of which were already formed or forming. As if the initiation wasn't nerve-wracking enough, she thought, Now someone is going to get stuck with me. Despite her cynicism, that spark of optimism shrieked in joy, as it might be her first chance to make a friend.
There was no way of telling what was going to happen until it did, but the wait alone wasn't going to help her.

A short introductory speech and they were shoved off into ballroom. Roy had traveled all the way from Atlas, and his time at Beacon had apparently yet to start. He was "accepted", but whereas he expected to have been granted entry into Beacon's training regimen, it now appeared that he had only made it to an entry exam. He understood the reasoning; this was a method of culling the weak and those who couldn't adapt. This school held the duty of making the strong, stronger, it'd be pointless to spend resources on those who didn't have what it takes simply for them to get killed off in some woods somewhere.

As he made his way off to the ballroom, the young Faunus looked around, examining the structures, the environment and even the people. Vale was much different than Atlas, even for his own kind. There was still discrimination and racism, but at least here the aggressors had to be careful of where they started pushing someone around. It was more open, but still had its black spots. Not that any would approach him. His trait was more low-key, at least until he opened his mouth. He might could have avoided some trouble in Atlas if he was more careful. He knew some that lived that way, but that wasn't him. He wouldn't pretend to be something he isn't nor shy away from what he is. He'd make them understand and accept, one day.

The night in the ballroom was mostly uneventful. Just a bunch of freshmen crowded into a room in their pajamas. Some stuck to themselves, others were already establishing groups. For the most part, it looked as though everyone was waiting before they tried to get attached. Likely everyone knew that tomorrow's test would be some's last day at the academy. Finding a spot on the floor, Roy smirked in anticipation as he awaited for sleep.

The following day held an atmosphere mixed with anticipation and anxiety both as students readied themselves for the test. Opening up his locker, Roy pulled on his two gauntlets, his claws, and turned to look at those that filled the room with him. It was now that people were being more social, attempting to get preset groups going and organizing a plan for the test ahead. Roy himself didn't much care for the strategic appeal of it, but it did make him miss his friends back in Atlas, or at least those he used to call friends.

With a sigh, he pushed the memories back into his mind and looked around. Approaching someone wasn't too hard, just find someone alone. Then again, there was the chance they were an Atlas prick or someone that agreed with their ideology, though those types were usually relatively easy to pick out from a crowd. Shiny white get up, pristine appearance, spoiled mannerisms—point being that once you live under their boot for over a decade, spotting them is easy. So, all he needed to look for was someone who fit the opposite bill.

First spotted was guy, around half a foot shorter than himself. Blonde hair, white getup, overall fancy-looking—Yeah, likely not the best choice to take a chance on. Then there was another quiet-looking girl, pretty tall. Going off her clothing, she looked more mistral than anything else. A couple blue-bloods he saw had a thing for the style. Finally there was a second girl. Quiet, sticking to herself, broken goggles, dark clothing, messy hair... Definitely not Atlas and the best choice to not start a fight. Typically he wouldn't mind it, but he had the test to worry about. He couldn't just waste energy dealing with spoiled brats.

"Yo, how's it going?" Roy questioned as he approached the girl. She seemed somewhat down, what he could tell from the one part of her face that was visible, though he chalked that up to freshman stress. Skewing his head to look at her holstered weapon, it was an interesting choice, definitely original. "Shovel eh? Can't say I've seen that before. What else can it do?" As usual, it didn't matter to him if he knew the person for ten years or ten seconds, he asked questions if someone caught his interest—and any talk was better than sitting quietly by himself until tests started.
"It turns...into a bigger shovel."

It occurred to her just how stupid that sounded, even through the imposing filter of her mask. The thought never really came to mind, as Shaun had shown her just how deadly a cricket bat, of all things, could be. Still, she was at the disadvantage of not being able to show off anything, so she would have to try and salvage this through words alone.

"...it also uses Dust."

Some battles just couldn't be won. Having kept this newcomer in the peripheral of her vision, Pallor turned to the face him, her stoic features betraying her surprise. "You too...a faunus." She wasn't entirely sure why she was surprised, but only surmise it had been quite a while since she had spoken to another of her kind, even if she was a poor excuse for one as evidenced by the ruination of her ears.

Realizing how awkward she was making things, she stood back a pace,
"Sorry...my name is Pallor, uhm...Pallor Romero."

Syuzanna sauntered into the locker rooms after a few others had gathered there. She hadn't been nearly the first to wake, having spent some of the night doodling on the small pad of paper she kept in the folds of her dress. Not as fun as painting, but whatever. Besides, she'd be fighting today, so that almost made up for it.

People here sure looked fancy. Most of them, anyway. Mister White Outfit? Must be some sort of Vale prince. Well, the kingdoms didn't have royalty anymore, she heard, but he still seemed pretty regal. Maybe he had a good taste for the arts. Maybe Syuzanna would talk to him. Gas mask girl was talking to redhead boy. She didn't feel like talking to them at all, or the girl taking out her weapon either. Syuzanna would only embarrass herself by barging into whatever they were doing. No reason to risk it.

Nah, Syuzanna felt infinitely more comfortable writing a lipstick message on her locker. "RISE AND BLOOM," she penned in bright red, in a huge font. When she was finished, she swung open the door like a curtain to remove Zavodila.

What a beautiful sunshiny morning it was today!

Nhung practically jumped up when she awoke, scrambling off for breakfast, and then to the locker room to put on her gear. Whoops, she'd overslept, hadn't she? The light was bright, and several other people had left the ballroom. She got on her combat outfit, loaded her hair with its wing clip and ribbon, and twirled around with a gleeful giggle before bouncing over to her locker to get her weapon.

Hey, who was that by her locker? It was a boy! Saying something! To his weapon? Aw, Nhung got that. As she took out the elegantly folded diver of dreams, she practically sang, "We are going to do gorgeous deeds today~" Strapping it onto her back, just below the flap of her collar, she skipped around the room, finally settling by another girl who'd taken out her weapon. Oh, she looked cool. So mysterious, with her dark hair covering her face and with her long, asymmetrical sleeve.

As she leaned against her weapon, her sleeve seemed to billow just a little. Picturesque, like a warrior.

Familiar.

Nhung realized she was staring. "Oh! Hey!" she chirped, giving a flourish. "My name's Nhung Hong. Hi!" She got the feeling that, though she seemed to suppress it, this girl was as eager to start initiation as Nhung was. So, Nhung gave a zillion-watt smile. "You look like you're literally dressed to kill." Had the compliment come across? She hoped so.

Sky sighed, He hated these speeches, wasting time, tell him what he could and could not do, he most of all HATED instructions. once those had been given he stretched. Never bothering to put his equipment in a locker, he prefered to wear it at all times as it was so unobtrusive and easy to keep hidden. He watched everyone struggle for space and try and find somewhere to sleep he smiled. Spreading his wings he took a running jump in to the air, with a rustle of wind he took off upwards towards the rafters. He found himself a comfortable spot and rolled out his sleeping bag and settled in for the night, folding his wings up he smiled. Looking down on those below him. He liked this. Above those who were unwilling to free themselves. He would keep to himself untill he needed to deal, freeing himself from the requirements of being polite or following others expectations.

Waking in the morning he stretched, remembering where he was he glanced down. people waking up and going about their normal morning duties. He smiled and swung himself off his perch, though not before taking the chance to etch 'Flyboy' in to the rafter he was sat on. Gliding down to the floor he folded his wings just before reaching the height of most people as so not to hit anyone. He was enjoying this, he'd normally get told off for such a stunt. He ignored anyone who didn't directly approach or talk to him. focusing on getting things ready for the initiation trials or whatever they were.

In the locker room he grabbed the twin machine pistols and checked them over spinning them round his fingers casually before slotting them into the holsters on his back. Nodding to himself he checked the dust load on his wings. totally fine, it was mostly dust capacity to allow him to fly, he rarely actually used dust in combat, preferring overwhelming weight of fire. He glanced round seeing a few people talking to each other, two of them awkwardly trying to make conversation a white haired boy and a dark haired girl and a third one with what appeared to be some kind of oversized chain gun. He shrugged. If he needed to get to know them for his team, so be it. Right now all that mattered was making sure he had the dust to hand to keep his flight up.

By now several bunches of people had been forming groups of two or four. Everyone seemed to already know each other or had gotten friendly with each other the previous day. Braith felt like she was being more and more isolated from the rest of her freshmen class already. Some people knew her because she graduated at the top of her class, and rumors went about how she was heartless and could not feel, but in fact it was quite the opposite.

Braith had been thinking about the initiation for some time, and whether or not they would really have to have teams. She hoped that if they did she wouldn't mind being her friend. It was then a much shorter pink themed girl walked up to her. The Girl seemed like a bouncy ball of energy trying to suppress itself when she introduced herself to Braith, and complimented her? Accepting the answer as a compliment she nodded to the shorter girl.

"Braith Senna...."
she said showing no emotion. She was happy that someone came up to talk to her since she didn't really know anyone. Strapping her sword to her back she held her hand out to the pink haired girl. Braith hoped they could become great friends.

She listened to the speech diligently, soaking up the information like a sponge while her brother looked less than thrilled to be there. If anything he looked like he'd rather do anything else. She, too, would rather do something else than listen to a speech, but it was the Academy's duty to make the new students feel welcome in their establishment. At least they did a good job of that...

Now, today was the day where she continued the family lineage with her less than caring brother. Azura needed to do her best or die an embarrassment to the family. It all seemed so surreal. One day she was receiving another speech of how cool being a hunter was and how proud she would make her family. And now here she was in front of her locker gathering her supplies. To find out if she's really good enough for Beacon... She grabbed her weapons and the holster she wore around her waist. Azura took only a few seconds to strap in her weapons. Then she grabbed some extra dust and was ready to go...

Azura was fully aware of the possibility of partners. It was impossible not to hear about the rumor, and she was nervous. The chances of her getting Viorel as a partner was so low they were in the depths of the Mariana Trench. Ugh... Should she make a friend while she was here? No, wait. The smart thing to do would be to start socializing with her partner... If she got one.

Another speech, another reminder of where he was and the goal of all this was. He finally made it to Beacon, and now that he was actually here and ready to get started, he was actually getting nervous. This was the day he had trained for. The initiation... and finding out who would be his partner if those rumors were true. A part of him hoped those rumors were true. Viorel didn't want to have to go through this alone, and having more people to relate to besides Azura would really soothe his nerves.

Ugh...

He gathered up his weapon, his large quiver stuffed to the brim with arrows organized by color, and his holster with some empty pockets for collecting. Hey, he could find a cool rock out there!

...Sheesh, his stomach felt tied in knots. Mom and dad never mentioned how scary this crap could be... Ugh, he only hoped Azura was holding herself together. Calm, cool, and collected. That's what he had to be from now until the end of the initiation.

Though the girl likely wasn't going for a joke, her blatant response still earned laugh from the boy standing in front of her. "Ha! Well, I guess long as you can smack someone over the head with it," He replied with a grin, though he wondered exactly how a shovel made use of dust, or if it had any non-melee capabilities. Not that it really mattered much, Roy himself tended to scarcely make use of dust or range, save for helping him out in melee when he needed it.

Changing the subject to his species, he wasn't sure if the woman wanted to avoid speaking of her weapon or was actually surprised. Sure, it wasn't the most glamorous weapon, but anything that could cause brain damage was good enough in his book. What was strange was how she managed to spot him out for what he was. Unlike many Faunus, his own trait was rather concealable—not that he made much of an effort to keep his race a secret. Some sought to hide themselves, which he didn't agree with. After all, how could you expect respect from others if you didn't even respect yourself? Regardless, it did tend to cause issue among some Humans. Going from her phrasing though, it appeared that he was safe from conflict for now. "Too? You mean you are? Nice! First person I talk to an' they're kin." It wasn't necessarily strange for Beacon to accept Faunus as students, but compared to the Human population they were a great minority; typically one per a few groups from what he observed.

With another hearty grin, he introduced himself in turn. "Roy Haider. Don't worry about it, I'm just glad to be talkin' to someone. Kinda' out of my element here... Well, kinda," He explained. "You from Vale or you come here for Beacon?"
Logan stood through the speech patiently, knowing that this was something that had to be done. He understand why it had to be done, just that it had to be. Once that was done, he teetered his way into the ballroom to find a spot to sleep. Why would he teeter into the ballroom? Well, imagine, if you will, that you don't like sleeping on the floor. That you will do whatever is in your power to make it so that you aren't sleeping on the floor. Now make yourself fairly strong,. You'll get a several bags full of pillows and blankets, not to mention his weapon on his back. And even if you didn't get that, that's what Logan is doing. And in surprisingly short order, he had his nest set up and ready for him to sleep on. That done, he found his locker, put away Boom Stick, went back to his bed and quickly fell asleep. He had a big day ahead of him tomorrow, he needed his rest.

The next morning he woke up looking like a mess, not surprising since he had so thoroughly entangled himself in his multitude of blankets that it was shocking that he hadn't choked himself. And on top of that, he wasn't much of a morning person, so he looked a bit dead behind the eyes as he trudged to the locker room to brush his teeth and hopefully wake up a bit more. Which luckily he managed to do. Now completely awake, teeth brushed, and dressed, it was time for breakfast. Wherever that was. Well, might as well ask.

"Excuse me," he asked a random person. "Do you know when and where we're getting breakfast? I don't think they'd make us take this test on an empty stomach."

"I'm from Atlas." Pallor replied, pausing as if to reconsider her stance on that statement, "I...was from Atlas. I've been traveling for some time..." Shaun wasn't much for communities, houses, or occasionally beds. The only establishments he enjoyed were taverns and bars, and those could easily lose his patronage depending on their selections on tap and their stance on public drunkenness in the presence of the faunus child he had brought in.

Roy seemed nice, despite his opinion of her weapon, but she knew it was too early for her to put any trust into him or another. People were often way different than what their first impression said. Still, Roy has proven to be much nicer than those who had stared at her before, so it didn't hurt to ease up a little bit, right?

By the time Snake had arrived he was already late for the opening ceremony, his long journey made him tired so it was quite convenient that it was already time to go to bed. Asking around he got some stares but was able to find his way. Picking a spot he smirk ready for tomorrow, he quickly wrapped his tail around his leg, and closed his eyes. The next morning he was feeling great he quickly got up and went to eat, knowing full well he wouldn't be able to pass initiation on an empty stomach.

Entering the locker room was kind pointless for him since he arrived late and still had his weapon on him. It was however useful for him to scope out possible teammates, he over heard the rumor during breakfast. Swaying his tail about he look around making sure not to trip or bump into anyone. It was then someone asked him when and where breakfast was. "Did you miss breakfast? Dude that's gotta suck, not sure how much time we have left but it's the other big building near the ballroom" he said to the other guy concerned on how well he was gonna do or not. It was then he had an idea. "It may not be much but here" Snake said pulling out a half an eaten bag of jerky, handing it to the guy.

Riley was a little late to the party as far as people went. She was a late waker as far as everyone went which was unusual. She had spent some time exploring as well and was just now arriving in the locker rooms. Her ears twitched at the noise of new students, all prepping for their initiation into Beacon Academy. Riley was just as ready, bouncing on the balls of her feet as she wandered through the aisles of lockers.

It wasn't hard to find her's, as it was one of the only unoccupied ones at the moment. She quickly dashed over and slid her gauntlets onto her utility belt. As much as Riley stood out it didn't seem to bother her at all. In fact she was all too keen to draw more attention to herself as she glanced over towards a group of two. Normally aproaching others would be awkward but Riley had a feeling she would get along with them. Giving a toothy grin the fauni wandered over, quickly grinning as she leapt up behind the one holding a shovel.

"HIYA STRANGERS!" She said excitedly, landing behind the hyena with a grin. "Name's Riptide but people call me Riley." She said with a smile, ears twitching happily.

It was then suddenly why all the students were talking that the intercom turned on, silencing all the the first years in the locker room, "Would all first-year students please report to Beacon Cliff for initiation? Again, all first-year students report to Beacon Cliff immediately." Glynda Goodwitch stated over the intercom before turning it off again.

Now after all the students arrived the were each directed to silver platforms. With everyone on their platforms and ready to go Professor Ozpin spoke up, "For years, you have trained to become warriors, and today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest." Then Glynda spoke up soon after, "Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of "teams." Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates... today." She said putting extra emphasis on the 'today'. With a long pause Ozpin started again, "These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well." he said pausing looking over the group. "That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years." he stated pausing again. "After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path... or you will die." again he paused, it starting to annoy some students, "You will be monitored and graded through the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff. We will regard that item, as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?" he said pausing one last time, giving nobody time to respond. "Good! Now, take your positions." As everyone got ready some people were unsure of what was supposed to happen.

Launch….

It was then each student was launched into the air off of the cliff, "Good Luck" Ozpin called out to the students as the started falling, then to himself "This is why I love working here." (lol jk)

(Now just another note, or maybe a reminder: Do not just meet someone randomly pick someone within your team, also make sure to ask them first, and if you wanna do collabs feel free, just make sure to include two separate templates. You know, name, location, weapon, etc. etc.)

At Pallor's reply, Roy's expression switched to that of surprise and interest. "No way! Same here!" He exclaimed with a grin before he truly grasped the strangeness at his excitement. Rubbing the back of his neck, his face reformed into a scowl. "Well, guess that's nothing to be too happy about... Place is a shit-show for our kind, no matter where ya' go." With a click of his tongue, his mood quickly soured with mentions of the country. It wasn't unusual, however. Atlas' treatment of Faunus was well-known and rumored, even across borders likely.

Suddenly, another lively character appeared, popping up behind ebony-clad girl in front of him. Riptide, or Riley as she introduced, possessed much more obvious distinctions than Pallor or he. Still, another Faunus to talk to was something that could boost his mood.

Scowl leaving his face, Roy seemed entertained at how he underestimated the populous of his kind attending. "Sweet, another Faunus! At this rate we could start our own team," He suggested with a grin. "I'm Roy."

Unfortunately, before the talk could go any further the intercom blared, alerting the students to the start of the initiation. "Well, guess it's time to kick ass. Unless the initialization is some kind of written crap..." With a deflated sigh, it was obvious the lion was more keen on action than quizzes.

Now it was time for another speech. Blah, blah, blah, teams. Wait, teams? They were getting their teams today? Partners? What the hell's the point in saying they need to be able to work together and then saying pairing up is pretty much a lottery? With a sigh, this could go well or very poorly depending. Eh, he could focus on that later. There wasn't any helping it after all. Roy could devote all his focus to the test that laid in front of him.

Cracking his neck from side to side and rotating his arms, the grin on the red-haired Faunus' face showed he was more excited for this than worried about passing. The application worried him. Brute fighting though? There's no way he'd disappoint.

One by one the students next to him were launched with his turn growing closer. The dust launcher on his gauntlets rotated to face outward. He never really tried it before, but Roy guessed that his flamethrowers could probably act as a propulsion system too.

"Alright... Show me what you got, forest," Roy invited as the platform shot forward, propelling him over the cliff-head and into the air with a thirsty laugh. Perhaps he was a bit too excited...

The sudden greetings nearly made her jump, having been admittedly too distracted by her conversation with Roy to take into account the others in the room. The newcomer was an excitable one, or at least that's what Pallor could conclude as Riley introduced herself to the pair. Pallor mumbled a response, the gaze of her only visible eye clearly directing itself into what must have been a fascinating patch of floor nearby.

"I'm Pallor...you...both of you, can call me...Pally?"

She hadn't gone by that nickname is a long time, but perhaps it would endear her to them? Her uncertainty apparent, it was only by divine intervention that her awkwardness was given a mercy kill by the sudden announcement. It was time for the initiation, which brought up a flurry of new uncertainties. Looking up to the other two, she nodded.

"Good luck to you two..."

Pallor would go on ahead, determined to get this over with, for better or for worse.

After some time, she found herself on one of the many platforms that lined the cliff's edge, overlooking a vast forest. Her heart was bumping like a war drum, although she wasn't sure if it was from fear, nerves, or excitement. All she did know was that she was going to be thrown into this forest and that one of the others was going to be her partner.
A brief glance was given to each side, studying the other students as if that would divine the one she was destined to be paired up with. One part of her hoped it would be Roy, having had the most interaction with him so far, but she would have to prepare for the alternative.

Perhaps it would be Riley? Or maybe the boy with purple hair and glasses? Or maybe one of the others? Pallor didn't have time to contemplate much further as the platform beneath her feet came to life, launching her into the air.

Wenceslas got hyped when heard the intercom loud and clear. In fact he almost broke into a sprint on the way their. When Snake got there he over looked the cliff putting his hand over his brow to look out before stepping on a silver plate. He looked over to the other initiates while he listened to the head of the school wondering who his partners may be. Then ever so swiftly all the students were launched into the air one by one, preparing himself he spread his legs slightly and got ready.

....Launch

He was launched into the air his tail swinging about as he made the arch and started to fall. "Yahoo!" Snake screamed out loud, as he fell at an increasing velocity. As he started getting closer and closer to the ground Snake to out his weapon Goldfang, shooting the whip forward it wrapped and anchored into a tree, placing his feet forward he slid his boots against the wood and wrapped around the tree a few times before stopping. Sitting still for a moment against the tree, Snake soon dropped onto the ground landing on his feet. "That wasn't so bad" Wenceslas said spinning the revolver which retracted the whip. placing it into his holster he started to walk straight casually his hands inside his pockets.
