POKEMON
Pokemon Partner(s):
Pokemon Name: Pichu
Pokemon Nickname: Pichuu-chan~
Pokemon Type: Electric
Extra Info: Pichu was Aurelia's starter pokemon. When Aurelia first started trying to catch other pokemon, Pichu was injured in battle countless times. Seeing this almost made Aurelia want to quit being a pokemon trainer alltogether, but Pichu's determination to continue battling made Aurelia realize that both of them wanted to do this together and so she wouldn't give up her dream either.
Pokemon Name: Squirtle
Pokemon Nickname: Aoi-kun/Aosora-kun
Pokemon Type: Water
Extra Info: Squirtle was the first pokemon Aurelia ever caught. She was super excited because she and Pichu had finally managed to successfully nab a pokemon. There was a little misunderstanding though. After being defeated in battle and captured by Aurelia's pokeball, Squirtle released itself and ran away. Aurelia was devastated, but later in the day, she saved Squirtle from the swift water stream of a waterfall and the two became friends. Aurelia used to call him 'Aosora' meaning Blue Sky, because of the bright blue sky that day when they laid back on the grass and laughed together. From time to time she shortens it to 'Aoi'.
Pokemon Name: Teddiursa
Pokemon Nickname: Ringo-chan
Pokemon Type: Normal
Extra Info: When Aurelia first saw Teddiursa, she thought it was the cutest thing she ever saw. She hadn't even thought of catching it, she just wanted to play with it. Pichu, Aurelia and Squirtle spent nearly a whole chasing Teddiursa and playing hide and seek. At the end of the day, when Aurelia thought of going somewhere to eat, Teddiursa tagged along. Eventually, after a few days worth of traveling with them, it agreed to be captured. Aurelia was overjoyed. She now calls Teddiursa, 'Ringo' meaning apples, because so far, apples seem to be its favourite treat.
HISTORIC BACKGROUND
General History: Aurelia grew up on Cinnabar Island and she was always fond of playing with her father's pokemon. As a little girl, she took a great interest in gymnastics and martial arts and was a strong academic student in school as well. She often spent time at the Cinnabar Gym, sitting in the stands and watching the pokemon battles quietly. There was something intriguing about watching them. After her parents' divorce, Aurelia became rather quiet. On weekends, she'd go off into the parks and not come home until sunset, telling her father that she didn't realize how much time had passed. She liked watching the new trainers with their pokemon and the people in Cinnabar Island doing their everyday chores, but most of all, she really missed her mother. In school, she concentrated on her studies and kept her grades up as usual, but she never took part in athletic competitions as much as used to. Her father decided against telling her the truth about her mother and instead, encouraged her to become a trainer. He told her that maybe on her travels, just maybe, she could meet her mother. This gave Aurelia a new-found hope. And although she received Pichu when she was 13, she left Cinnabar Island on her journey two years later. She spent that lapse of two years training Pichu and learning and reading more about pokemon.
Present Life: Even after leaving Cinnabar Island, every week or so, Aurelia finds herself coming to home to visit her father and tell him about her travels. She also brings gifts and things for the townspeople for taking care of her when she was little. Sometimes she goes over to the Cinnabar Gym just to sit and watch like she was little. It brings back memories and strengthens her resolve. Usually she would return for a day or so and then head out the next morning, but this time, returning home to her father being slightly sick, Aurelia refuses to leave until he feels better. Afraid that his sickness might get worse, and the possibility of possibly losing her only father makes Aurelia's heart ache.
Note: (Her father isn't as sick as Aurelia thinks, her emotions are exaggerating the situation.)
