Edan gaped at her. "Six months?! It's been raining for six months?!" He couldn't believe it. It really was a miracle that the Pokemon world hasn't flooded yet. "How can that be? Eventually the rain will have to stop, right?"
At least that's what he hoped. He wouldn't be able to stand it if it rained constantly. He felt drowsy enough as it is, but to go through that feeling every day, he didn't think he would even have the attention span he needed for missions. He'll have to do something... That was when he had a thought. He recalled giving Pokemon items to strengthen them and their moves. Did they still have those kind of items here? Maybe he could get an item that will strengthen him up and help him endure this weather, that way he wouldn't be so weak and his moves could be more effective. Yes, that seemed like a good idea. He'll have to bring the subject up to Fang. Perhaps she'll know something.
He immediately saw the disappointed look on Fang's face when he explained he didn't really want to be on a team. That made him feel a little bad... It appeared that she was the only one on the team, and in a way, that technically meant she didn't really have any other friends. He had to admire the fact that she rescued Pokemon when others abandoned or attacked them. Has the Pokemon World really gone down such a bad path? Where brother turned against brother(of course by this he didn't literally mean 'brothers')? A world that constantly rained and made life even harder for these Pokemon, threatening to drown them unless they made trenches or moved to higher ground? What this Totodile was doing... It was very brave and selfless. How could he think of himself when this Pokemon was thinking of so many others?
"I'll think about it." He promised. "It's just that all of this has happened so fast, I just need a moment to recollect myself and figure out what I'm doing. Give me tonight to think it over, and tomorrow, I'll have my answer for you." He smiled. "Promise. Although if I am going to be helping you, I'll need something that will power up my fire moved and make me stronger if it's not going to stop raining any time soon. I'll be kind of useless with my fire abilities cut in half."
