  1. "1...2...3...Annyong-Haseyo! We are, Compass!"

"I never thought I would actually hear those words come from my mouth when I first became a trainee. Looking back on those days, becoming famous was just a blurry dream covered in blood, sweat, and tears. But...Ah, what sweet words they are now! It's not like we get anymore rest time than we did before, in fact, we might even have less, but to see the bright, smiling faces of our fans. That is why I have become a Kpop star!"

"Aish! How can they know so much about me when I've just debuted two years ago! Are they stalkers or something?"

  5. Setting and Time

Kyung Soo stared out the window of their black Sudan, watching the rain drops stream across the glass. "I wasn't expecting rain today." He said to no one specifically. "Did you bring an umbrella, Jaesuk-Hyung?" He asked, taking his attention off the window and looking at his manager. He didn't expect his band ate to have brought a umbrella, considering they hadn't seen the forecast and it had been sunny at the beginning of the day.
"I think we have one under one of the seats." Jaesuk replied, not taking his eyes off the road.

Kyungsoo sighed, leaning back in his chair and closing his brown eyes. The sounds of rain and thunder always seemed to calm him, allowing thirst moment of peace from his full busy day. As he lay there, the events of the day passed through his mind as he reviewed what he did and could've done better. "The fan meeting this morning went well, lunch took forever because of rush hour which made us late to get to the interview, and the fan meeting this evening got canceled because of this storm." He thought, opening his eyes briefly as he bolt of lightning struck closer than normal. "Now, because of a slip up of communication, we have to move out of the apartment to a boarding house. I wish this day would just end." He mentally sighed. After that, everything faded to black for him, falling into a well needed deep sleep.

    Start

"Wake up, we're here." Jaesuk's familiar voice woke Kyung Soo with a start. Kyung Soo looked out the window and took a deep breath. It was dark out side except a few street lights, though what time exactly he didn't know. It was still raining pretty hard outside, and the heat in the car started to make the windows fog up a bit. "Did you find the umbrella?" He asked his fellow band mate, Jungkook. "We're going to be soaked if we don't find it." He stated, worried they might get sick and practically ruin their short vacation.

At that same time, only across the street was MinJung, typing away at her computer. She had been at the apartment building when Compass's apartment was broken into and had gotten an exclusive with the police officer there. Now all she had to do was write a story, possibly over exaggerating some things, and get it to KBS! Minjung leaned back and stretched out her arms, yawning and looking down at her computers time. "4:00am. I guess I should get some sleep before I go to KBS. I don't want to look like a sleep deprived, crazy girl." She said, laughing at her own joke. After saving her document, Min stood up and cross her room to the window. Peeking out the curtains she stared at the sky and shook her head. Gosh it was just dumping water! "Hopefully it won't be like this in the morning!" She said, sitting down on her bed that lay beside the window. Minjung closed her eyes and fell back, quickly falling to sleep.

Smiling, Jungkook signed another poster, greeting the next girl in line. Looking up, he stood up slightly, taking a selca with the girl before turning his attention back to the CD, which he promptly signed, sending her down the line to his bandmate Kyungsoo, or more popularly known by his stage name, DO. Though he kept up with his smile, greetings, and general air of excitement and joyfulness, the stuffiness and loudness of the mall and crowd were really starting to get to him. A small headache forming around the edges of his temples. So far, he and DO hadn't received too many bizarre or strange requests, however, that quickly changed as another girl made her way up with a poster for them to sign. Like every other fan, he had smiled up, politely asking for her name. He was cut off quickly as she lurched forward, her hand grasping his black shirt, "Marry me, Jungkook! We were meant to be!" She moved forward as if she wanted to kiss him, and Jungkook stumbled back, motioning for his body guard, who quickly dragged the poor girl away. Forcing another smile on his face, the teen perched back on the seat, signing another poster, another poster, and he continued down the line, making polite conversation while his hand and pen never ceased to move.

The lunch following the fan meeting was just as rushed, as they hurried into a small cafe after waiting in a long line of traffic, their manager, Jaesuk ushering them in while looking at his watch, no doubt calculating the time it would take them to get lunch and to take them to their next interview. After swallowing a couple of bites of sweet potato, Jungkook had grabbed his coffee before jumping back into the black Sudan.

The interview had been relatively average, just a few questions here and there, nothing out of the ordinary. Like in other interviews, Jungkook hid, figuratively, behind DO, still slightly uncomfortable with the attention. Halfway through, they had played a bit of random play dance, and he was asked to dance to female dances, which he performed, with slight embarrassment, crawling back to his seat after performing each dance seamlessly.

He had been slightly disappointed when the next fan meeting had been canceled due to the impending stormy weather, however, the disappointment quickly turned to confusion and slight frustration when he learned of a communication slip up, causing him and Kyungsoo to have to move to a boarding house for the time being.

As the storm started, he and Kyungsoo had gotten into the car as well as Jaesuk as he maneuvered the car. The day's exhaustion quickly caught up with Jungkook, his eyelids drooping over his dark eyes, music quietly streaming to his ears from his fixed earbuds. Finally, the younger teen fell into a light sleep, his head falling onto his bandmates shoulder.

When the car stopped, Jungkook woke up, his eyes narrowed at the sudden flood of lights within the car, his eyes hurting from their rude awakening. Mind still muddled with sleep, he gropped about, looking for the umbrella. "Here it is." He held it up for him and Kyungsoo.

After gathering their luggage, Jaesuk went to the other house, who they had rented their house from, and gathered the keys from the family. As their manager bid them goodbye and a quick 'enjoy your vacation' they were left alone. Unlocking the house, he set down their things, before exploring the large house. Flicking the lights on in the kitchen, he noticed a small chocolate sponge covered with whip cream and decorated with strawberries and chocolate. A small little letter accompanied the cake, wishing the two a happy vacation and move in, saying if they ever needed any help to come to the house next door. Smiling, he called Kyungsoo over, "Want some cake?"

After burning her fingers on the piano keys practicing for her next piano competition, she shut the book, turning away from the little black notes dancing in her vision. Tying back her long black hair, she pulled up the white puffy sleeves of her dress before moving to the kitchen and putting on her apron.

Weighing out all the ingredients for a chocolate sponge, she set to whipping the egg whites to a stiff peak. She had decided to be a nice neighbor and bake a cake for them as they settled down. Tian hadn't really been told about who was moving in, just that two guys were moving into their second house for a time being. As the cake finished cooling, Tian began whipping the cream and slicing the strawberries for the cake, layering the three.

After decorating the cake with some shaved chocolate, she moved it to the other house, setting it down in the kitchen with a little note before heading back home.

  7. "Ah, good." Kyungsoo said, relieved when Junggook took out the umbrella for them. Crossing the street when a mess as the water rush down hill in currents. "Aish." He muttered, slipping off the wet hipster style shoes. Kyungsoo watched as Junggook hurried off into the house, probably to explore, and chuckled. "Don't explore a lot without me!" He exclaimed after him. Walking into the main living room, Kyungsoo smiled, thinking it looked close to his parents home which made it feel more like home to him! "Mm, cake?" Kyungsoo asked, walking to the kitchen and eyeing the wonderful looking cake on the counter. "That looks delicious!" He said, smiling. "You suppose they bought that cake for us moving in?" He said, thinking out loud. "But, we should probably save it for tomorrow. Since we won't have anything to eat for breakfast." He said, trying to be sensible.

  8. ((Complete side note, but I love your new profile picture ^-^ The quote is beautiful.))

Faking a pout, "Hyung.." The maknae faked a whine before turning his attention back to the cake. Wrapping it in some plastic wrap, he set the cake into the refrigerator, "Don't go anywhere, cake." He jokingly whispered, "Cake for breakfast tomorrow!" Jungkook chanted energetically. In ways, he was still like a young child, when he was happy, he had a hard time controlling the ebullient feelings, causing them to overflow occasionally, and now was one of those times.

Bounding up the stairs, Jungkook explored the rooms, "I want this one!" He motioned to the smaller room furnished with a simple bed, desk, and closet. Flopping onto the bed, the younger teen fell asleep quickly, still in his day clothes.

  9. ((Oh thank you!))

Kyungsoo chuckled at Junggook, watching him change from a pout to overly excited. He really didn't know how he could have so much energy at such a hour! Kyungsoo soon followed Junggook up the stairs, though at a slower pace. "Okay." He said half-heartedly, to tired to care what was left for himself. Entering a decently sized bedroom, Kyungsoo immediately walk up to and fell back on the large bed, closing his eyes. It wasn't longer after that he also fell asleep, bedroom lights still on and still in his interview clothes.

    That Morning, around 10:00am

Kyungsoo opened eyes slowly, squinting from the sunlight pouring in the bedroom. He pulled himself up to a sitting position, yawning and rubbing his face. He wasn't really ready to wake up, but now that he had he wouldn't go back to sleep. Getting to his feet, Kyungsoo walked across the room, out the door and down to the living room to watch TV and wake up. He hadn't had a good look at the house last night and now marveled at the fancy place, all while enjoying the silence of the house. It had been a while since he'd not had to experience some sort of city life sound!

Earlier that morning, Minjung had woken up and begun to get ready to present her new story on Compass. When she made her appearance down stairs, her mother what already made breakfast. "Oh wow, mom! What's all this fancy food for?" She asked, reaching out to grab a pastry.
"Don't touch that. Your food is over there. That is for our neighbors. They got in very late last night and probably don't have anything to eat this morning." She explained, finishing up the wrapping of the pastries.
"What? All I get is hard boiled eggs when our neighbors get a feast!" She whined, grabbing the bottle of water she carried everywhere.

  10. It had been a long time since Jungkook had woken up on his own accord to a lazy morning without impending dance or vocal practice. Smiling, Jungkook felt for his phone, checking for the time. The little white electronic numbers read "8:28" in the morning. Getting up, the teen took up his usual black t-shirt with white print on it, a pair of black skinny jeans, and he tossed a hoodie over his outfit. Running a comb through his hair, he cleansed his face with his usual soaps and routine, slipping in his earrings in as well. Assessing his appearance, he really didn't feel like putting on any make up.

Quietly closing DO's door to make sure he wouldn't wake up bandmate, he went down the stairs and bound straight for the fridge, cutting himself a slice of cake before digging in happily while checking his social media. Mouth still full, he looked up at a knock at the door. Praying to dear Lord that it wasn't some saseang fan, he finished chewing and slipped his phone back into his pocket. Opening the door, he saw a smaller girl, somewhere around his age at the door with a small basket of baked croissants.

Because school had been off for Spring Break, Tian was left with nothing but baking and practicing piano to do. She had finished all her homework on the first two days of break, so she had set about, baking cakes, breads, and pastries. Having bought puff pastry the other day, she decided to bake a few croissants, figuring that their new neighbors probably didn't have any time to go shopping for groceries. After baking them, she let them cool a little bit as she put on a gray sweater and light washed skinny jeans. Setting them into a basket, she walked the short distance to her new neighbors house before knocking on the door.

"Here are some croissants for breakfast. I hope you had a smooth move in, and I hope my cake wasn't that bad." She murmured handing over the basket of baked bread, her eyes cast at the ground.

  11. Once Kyungsoo turned on the tv, he heard Junggook go to the front door to answer the knock. "Who is it?" He called, standing up and brushing his hair to the side in a nicer way. He hadn't even thought about his appearance this morning, hadn't even looked in the mirror which made him more uncomfortable around strangers. Peeking around Junggook, Kyungsoo's large eyes widened further when he saw a young girl at the door, startling him. He was still in his pj's, a white T-shirt and sweat pants to his knees, and panicked. Should he stay and thank her also or shy away because of his image?

Minjung plopped down on her living room couch and pulled out her phone. "Hey, what are you doing today? I've got a story to give to work then I'll have nothing to do." She texted Tian.

  12. "I was just about to have some cake, actually. Kyungsoo-hyung made me wait until morning so we could have it for breakfast." Jungkook joked, looking at Kyungsoo, who seemed to have just realized that they had a guest. Laughing mentally at his older band mates disheveled appearance and startled look, he took the basket of croissants. It struck him strange that the girl didn't really seem to recognize him or DO, leading him to think that maybe she wasn't a fan. "What's your name?" He asked, noting that the girl seemed just as shy as Kyungsoo.

Looking up, Tian looked up, feeling her phone buzz in her pants pocket. "TianYi, but most people call me Tian." She bowed at a 45 degree angle, which was customary in Korea. She could see the slight puzzlement on Jungkook's face when he couldn't figure out what the characters meant and why they had been articulated strangely to his ears. "I'm not Korean, I'm Chinese, so my name isn't Korean." She offered helpfully. The pair looked familiar, yet she couldn't place a finger on where she had seen them.. Maybe at the shopping mall or something? "My mom wanted me to ask if you needed anything settling down. Excuse me real quick." Tian murmured, brushing her dark hair out of her eyes as she quickly typed out a text, "I'm with the new neighbors. Had to deliver something."

"Sorry about that." Tian apologized, ducking into another small bow. They both looked a couple of years older than her, but then again, everyone looked older than her.

  13. "Oh good, mom wants me to deliver some stuff too. Plus I wanna see them!" Minjung texted back, jumping to her feet. "I'll be going, mom! I'm taking the pastries!" She shouted, slipping her arm in the basket also, setting her water bottle inside the basket for now. Grabbing a pink, light coat and slipping on her black high heels, Minjung rushed out the front door. She slipped on the sunglasses that hung her pocket and smoothed her light pink skirt as she stepped out on the sidewalk. Minjung saw Tian and another form across the street, leading her to the conclusion that was the new neighbor. "Yah! Minjung-ah!" She called, waving wildly to get her attention. Minjung practically ran across the street, having to hold down her short skirt, and slowed as she neared her neighbors driveway. Laughing lightly, Minjung took a deep breath then approached the two...or was it three? "Hello." Minjung said cheerily, bowing slightly to Junggook. Not yet able to Kyungsoo clearly.

Kyungsoo bowed back to Tian nervously. Looking up at Junggook briefly, he reached out to take the basket from Junggook hoping for an escape to fix himself up better. "I'll go put this in the kitchen." He informed Junggook, his nervous eyes darting from Junggook to Tian to his escape.

  14. She was startled when Minjung bounced out from behind her, holding her short skirt down. Like always, her friend wore something scandalously short. It was amazing really, that the two were friends, considering the fact that they were essentially polar opposites. Junggook was alarmed by the showing of another female. It was hilarious really, you would imagine someone who was a popular Kpop idol would be used to all the female attention, yet he wasn't. At that moment, all he really wanted to do was shy away from all the female attention and hide again. He had felt slightly uncomfortable with one female, and now there was a second one.

Watching in desperation as Kyungsoo-hyung excused himself, Junggook had no choice but to let the girls in. "Please, come in. Kyungsoo-hyung will be down in a minute." Swallowing slightly uncomfortably, he turned his attention back to the girls, sure DO would kill him soon, "Would you mind if you showed Kyungsoo and I around town?"

  15. Standing beside Tian, Minjung began to recognized Junggook, and now seeing Kyungsoo, Minjung took a step back. Her expression had changed from cheery to shock, in a good way. "Wait," she started, starting to put the pieces together. Her mom had rented out her insanely overpriced room the day Compass escaped away from sight. Why didn't she, as a journalist, put this together earlier?! "You're...Compass." She stated, just as he asked them to come in.

As MinJung had joined them Kyungsoo officially rushed away. He had meant to put the basket in the kitchen, but at the moment he had to make sure he didn't look like a wreck! Stepping into the bathroom in the hall, Kyungsoo fixed his hair quickly and splashed water in his face quickly. "Aish!" He muttered, trying to figure out what to do.

  16. "Compass..?" Tian trailed off quietly, the name not ringing a bell. She knew Minjung literally stalked Korean Pop stars for a living, she Tian automatically assumed that it had something to do with Korean Pop. Turning around to face Minjung, "Who are they..?" She whispered. Currently, she lived in a country obsessed with Idols, and she still didn't know who they were. "Are they Kpop stars..?" Tian trailed off uncomfortably as she played with her thick black hair.

Taking a seat on a couch in the living room, Junggook walked into the kitchen, fishing about in their small fridge before grabbing two small bottles of bottled water. Being the slightly awkward teenager he really was, he sat down after passing the waters over. "Um... So I see you know who my Bandmate and I are.. Please don't tell anyone.. If you do, the fans will find us, and we'll have to move again.." Jungkook pleaded, running a hand through his dark hair waiting for Kyungsoo to make his appearance.

  17. Minjung looked down at Tian. "Uh, yeah. They're really popular." She whispered back to Tian, looking up and starting to enter the house. She looked around, knowing the house well already, but wondering if she could see anything. "Of course we won't say anything." She said, looking back at Junggook .

At that time Kyungsoo stepped back, once again to by surprise that Junggook had let them in. "Hello. Thank you for the food." He said briefly. "And for the house." Kyungsoo looked around, unsure if he should offer for them to sit down now or go?

  18. Their name still hadn't rung a bell. Sitting there, Tian wanted to disappear. She could literally feel the awkwardness oozing off the walls as Junggook passed them a bottle of water. Thanking him, she took a sip, unsure of what else to do. Looking at Minjung, she prayed with her eyes, hoping her friend could rescue the two of them from this awkward decision.

Seeing Kyungsoo enter the picture, Tian smiled a little bit, "No problem. I hope you guys like it."

Junggook took a seat across the two, sensing the awkwardness in the room proceeded to make the strangest faces he could muster in an attempt to break the silence.

  19. ((Oh my gosh that's hilarious!!))

Letting out a sigh, MinJung looked between the two. She was about to say something, probably in a very interview like manner when Junggook made a very strange face. Tiffany furrowed her eyebrows in confusion, but couldn't help laughing slightly. "So what brings you two out here?" She continued to ask, though she knew the question. From experience, Tiffany knew famous people avoided people like her and their questions. So, if she acted like she didn't know them that well and didn't inform them of her job, she might get a great story! Even better than before! Tiffany brushed a strand of red hair out of her face as she reached down to her phone briefly.

Kyungsoo fiddled with his fingers till Junggook made this strange face that oddly fit what Kyungsoo was currently feeling. That lead to one of the girls asking a question that he wasn't sure he was allowed to tell. Gah, why had this had to happen today? Kyungsoo had failed to answer the girls question because he had simply forgotten what she had asked. Also, what were their names again? Had they introduced themselves before he got to the door? Kyungsoo struggled to keep a smiling face as the thoughts ran through his mind.

  20. Tian turned, staring at Tiffany. They had clearly told them not to tell anyone of their location, and her friend had completely ignored that. From her experience, she knew that Tiffany was probably mentally writing an article on this already. Killing off her friend's fun and being a slight goody two shoes he broke Tiffany off, "Excuse me, but I don't think we probably introduced ourselves. I'm TianYi, and this is my friend, Tiffany, who is a reporter." Stressing the last word, she shot a strict look towards Tiffany.

Jungkook felt pretty accomplished after making both girls at least crack a smile. Bouncing up and down in his seat like an energetic child that he truly was, "Hey, hyung! Hyung! Hyung! Let's go down to the market place! Come on!"
