It had been nearly a year since Baek and DO had met MinJung and Tian and the group had slowly gotten closer as a whole and had become rather a comfortable presence to the other, though they weren't to the level where they spoke informally yet.

Rain poured down on the tv-studio where Compass had filmed an interview. Their manager stood outside, accessing the rapidly darkening sky with the pounding rain. A streak of lightning flashed followed by a boom of thunder. Compass' apartment was a long ways away, nearly a full hour without traffic, and with the current weather, it didn't quite seem that safe. Baek sat there, long fingers grasping his phone and bag while he stood beside his bandmate, Kyungsoo, staring worriedly out at the sky. "Let's go." Their manager called out, opening the door and leading the pair to the car, where Baekhyun promptly clicked his seat belt in place before settling in for the long ride, a slightly unsettling and nervous feeling drifting about in his stomach. Something didn't quite feel right.

Attempting to ignore the growing pit of uneasiness in his stomach, Baek snuggled up against his hyung's shoulder, resting his head on Kyungsoo. Even with his music blasting into his ears, he could still hear the ever determined rain pounding against the car's windows. He could feel the gusts of wind blowing into their car, causing the vehicle to drift just slightly (do you ever get that feeling?)

Baek's honey eyes snapped open as he heard his manager give a sudden cry of surprise and then followed the frantic movements as their manager swerved. Too late. Even as their car swerved, another car collided with Baek's and their manager's side of the car, crumpling the metal while DO's side hit with the cement frames of the highway after flipping over. Baek was tossed from the side of the car, his seat belt locking and keeping him from flying out of the car as the window shattered and the metal dug into his side. As the car flipped over, Baek's head briefly hit the roof of the car, sending him into a state of unconsciousness. The driver that had collided with them, however, didn't seem to be as lucky, as his car had completely flipped over the side of the railings, while multiple other cars had been gently scraped in the ordeal.

It wasn't long before someone dialed the police and sirens could be heard as the police cars sped through the calming storm. As the men got down from their cars, they checked the other driver that had collided into Baek and DO, deeming him dead on the spot due to an accident and drunk driving. Joining the growing wail of sirens were a group of ambulances. A paramedic reached through the ruined and smashed car, pulling out Baek, who's right side had been torn up completely and blood trickled down from a gash on his head from where the car had flipped over. As he was lowered into a stretcher, an oxygen mask was placed over his face as his respiratory system went into distress and his body slipped into shock.

Tian sat there, quietly popping her slightly dislocated pinky back into place. It happened relatively regularly, especially when she practiced for more than eight hours a day right before a piano competition. Her neighbors were going to get mad soon, especially with it being nearly ten o'clock at night. Running through the Sonata once again, the loud pounding of the rain and booming of the thunder was enough to set her on edge. Something wasn't quite right, yet she couldn't place a finger on what wasn't right.

Her phone rang from the other room, startling the younger girl as she ran over, unfolding her long legs from the piano bench. Wondering who would call her at such a late time, Tian picked up, staring for a moment at the unknown caller. "Hello?"

A lady spoke, "Hello ma'am. We are calling from the *insert name of hospital here* hospital. Do you know a young man named Byun Baekhyun or DO Kyungsoo?"

Tian swallowed nervously, her free hand anxiously twirling and twisting her hand, "..Yes.. Is something wrong?" Her voice shook.

"We are calling to inform you that both the boys and an adult male had gotten into a car accident. Byun Baekhyun just went into the operating room (didn't add Kyungsoo because I don't know what kind of injuries you want him to sustain or what you wanted to happen next.) He should be coming out in a couple of hours. Alright, have a good night ma'am." The lady hung up and the line went dead.

Tian stood there, her hands shaking so violently that her phone slipped from her hands. Without bothering to even grab an umbrella, Tian rushed out of her apartment without even locking the door. All the bus systems weren't in service at this time and the metro station was too far away. Within seconds, she had gotten drenched. Running down the street, Tian pounded on MinJung's door, not caring about the racket she was making as the rain mixed and muddled with her tears.

((Hope this is okay. If anything needs changing, just PM me.. Sorry about not replying earlier, ended up having a piano lesson and work which lasted a while. Also, sorry about any mistakes, I'm really tired right now XD))

The entire day Kyungsoo had felt sick to his stomach, probably from something he had eating the day before, but throughout the day he couldn't think right because of the uncomfortableness of his stomach. When the boys had loaded in the vehicle he at last could relax, immediately closing his eyes. Kyungsoo felt Beak lean on him but the rain drown out every sound around, including his thoughts. Soon he fell into a deep sleep, letting exhaustion take over. It had been a long day.

The cry from their manager had not woken Kyungsoo but the sudden swerving motion brought D.O out of his sleep. The flipping of the car knocked Kyungsoo's head against the side and put him unconscious once again. By the time the police were called he was half awake, looking around at everybody but felt no pain because of the shock his body was in. Everything seemed like a dream. Kyungsoo once again closed his eyes and focused on the cold rain as it began to fall on his face. (I'll tell his injuries when he wakes up in the hospital)

Min was just getting ready for bed when she heard someone banging on the front door. "Who-" she rushed downstairs to see who it was, hoping it wouldn't wake her mother. Opening the door Min gasped as she saw a soaking Tian standing outside. "What is it? Come in." She urged, stepping aside for Tian to enter. "Why are you soaking wet?" She demanded, flipping on the light switch and going to get a towel.

Baek came to wrapped up in wires and machines that filled up the tiny hospital room. His eyelids raised sluggishly, everything felt off, his brain muddled and fuzzy, his movements slow. Sensors and needles ran up his fair arms while others were taped to his bare chest. It was strange really, his body felt weirdly detached, and he couldn't feel a single thing. As nurses and doctors swarmed him, Baek drifted back into unconsciousness, wondering where DO was.

Tian stood there shivering, "It's Baekhyun and Kyungsoo!" Her hysteric mind not quite able to form a sentence together, "they're in the hospital right now! I got a call from a nurse and she said they had gotten into an accident and Baek just went into the operating room while she didn't tell me anything about Kyungsoo-Oppa." The younger teen stood there, wiping her eyes with her palms as more leaked down her cheeks. "What if they die?" She asked, chest heaving from her sobbing as she tried to hold them back embarrassed by her display.

Min watched and listened closely as Tian explained the situation. An accident? Min began to grow worried, wondering if it was very bad. If Beakhyun was in surgery he had to have gotten hurt badly! "Okay, calm down." She finally spoke, reaching out to Tian and grabbing her hands. "We'll head over there now." Min said, keeping herself calm and collected. She wasn't one to freak out during these times, but instead freak out a long time after. "I'll drive us there after to change into some warm, dry clothes." She explained, urging Tian up stairs to change. There would be no difference if they arrived 20 minutes later than if they left now. Beakhyun would be in surgery for a while she was sure. But not knowing anything about Kyungsoo worried her. Was he okay?

Min followed Tian up the stairs, also wanting to change into some actual appropriate clothes before going into public. Minjung grabbed some dry clothes for Tian, also tossing her a towel to dry her hair, then got herself some clothes. Slipping on a loose pink sweater and some blue skinny jeans, Min suddenly remembered her mother. She needed to let her know before they went so she wouldn't be worried. "I'll be right back, I'm going to tell mom." She said, rushing down stairs to inform her mother.

Taking a couple of deep breaths, Tian was able to calm down relatively enough to listen to what Min was saying. Following her up the stairs, she took the towel that Min had offered her and dried her hair and body hurriedly before tossing on a pair of skinny jeans and a simple peasant blouse. Wiping away her still dripping tears, her brain wondered why they hadn't received any news on Kyungsoo. Listening to Min inform her mother that they would be going to the hospital for a little bit, Tian slipped on her sopping wet shoes at the door before literally dragging her friend out the door with an umbrella in hand. Running in the slippery and raining street, by the time she had reached the hospital she was out of breath and had doubled over, umbrella hanging uselessly at the side.

Min jung left the house quickly along behind her friend, just now realizing how worried she must've been. It had been a few weeks since Min began suspecting Tian of liking one of them, and this only further confirmed it. The rain had not let up since they left the house and once arriving at the hospital the two sopping wet girls made quite the scene. Min hurried up to the counter, though careful not to slip on the lamenent floors, and addressed the desk lady. "We're here to see two young men. They were brought here from a car wreck. Their names are Kyungsoo and Beakhyun." She explained. Min was still very calm apart from her shaking limbs, though it was uncertain wether it was from being cold or the adrenaline rush.

The desk lady looked up at the two girls, surprised. She nodded and motioned her hand towards the door that lead to the waiting room. "You can wait in there." She said cooly.
Min frowned as the lady simple nodded and told the two girls to sit in the waiting area. "Can we see either of them?" She asked, understanding that Beakhyun was in surgery, but where was Kyungsoo?
"Neither are able to take guests." She replied shortly.
Min clenched her jaw and looked back at Tian. "Lets wait in there. They'll have blankets to keep us warm." She suggested, not wanting to start an argument in the hospital at 3am.

Tian couldn't understand how her friend could stay calm in this situation. But maybe this was why they became friends in the first place. Shivering in the cold hospital waiting room, the younger teen's heart beat wildly in her chest, her fingers frantically playing out one of her piano pieces on her air piano, something she did whenever she got nervous. There hadn't been any news of Kyungsoo, which really worried her. They had been informed that Baekhyun would be alright after surgery, but nothing had been revealed about DO-oppa, which only made her concern elevate to hyperventilation. Sitting down, she waited with a blanket pulled over her small frame.

"You may come and see Baekhyun now." A nurse walked out, hand on her clipboard, beckoning the two teenagers in.

Stepping back into the waiting room, Min noticed how stressed and worried Tian had become. "Hey, calm down. Everything's going to be okay." She assured her, grabbing a blanket for herself then sitting beside Tian. "They would've known right away if the boys had any fatal injuries." Min said, not particularly sure of her statement, but at least in could cheer up Tian. Once again sitting in silence, Min waited, starting to get impatient as the minutes turned to hours. Why did surgery take so long?

Hearing the sound of heels down the hall for the 100th time, Minjung looked up with hopeful eyes. The nurse spoke at last, and the statement was to them! "Oh good!" Min jung stood up. "Is there any news on his fellow passenger. His name in Do Kyungsoo." She explained.

The nurse nodded calmly. "Yes. He is in the same room as Beakhyun." She answered, turning a few pages on her clipboard. "He has mostly minor injuries, but is not yet conscious. You can see him, but don't try to wake him." She explained carefully.

"Okay. Thank you." Minjung said, bowing her head slightly before rushing off to the room the woman said Beakhyun and Kyungsoo were in. "615..." She kept mumbling to herself as she passed through the halls with Tian. Min hadn't noticed that her hearted had raised and her hands were shaking a lot more. The thought of seeing anyone in the hospital hurt, but seeing someone she knew and cared...well she didn't know how she would react!

Tian literally lept up from her chair, and if it weren't for social norms, she would have literally fled down the hall and broke through the door to Baek and DO's room hours ago. Following both the nurse and Min, they entered room 615, Tian closing the door as quietly as she possibly could manage through her shaking hands. The smell of the antiseptics were enough to nauseate her ((So sorry about spelling, currently in China, so spell check doesn't work)) and her stomach floated about with butterflies. She for one had never done well with blood. Glancing up at Baekhyun first, her heart leapt through her throat at the sight of all of the machines. He seemed so small and young fitted amongst the machines.

DO didn't look much better for wear beside his bandmate, both nestled in machines and oxygen masks. The sight was enough to make Tian feel faint, and she took a seat beside him, toying with his sheets as her eyes glimmered with tears.

Entering the hospital room, Monjung immediately saw the boys and hurried over. She approached Beakhyun first, seeing he was awake, and bit her lip. "Hey." She said quietly, not really expecting a reply because she was sure he was hurting. Glancing across, Min saw Kyunsoo and frowned. He wasn't awake yet. "You look pained." She mumbled, looking back at Beakhyun, leaving Tian to D.O.

Kyungsoo laid unconscious, looking quite peaceful. He had many cuts from the glass and being thrown in the van, but nothing look real bad or painful. All his monitors and equipment reflected that he was also peaceful.

Baekhyun blinked, "Min..?" His eyes not quite focusing on her form. A sparkle of laughter entered his eyes, "It's really not that bad.. I'm on pain medication right now." He murmured through the oxygen mask that was really starting to get annoying. The doctors had insisited that he wear one since his oxygen saturation rate had been a couple of digits lower than the accepted rate. "I look much worse than how I feel."

Tian stared at DO, adjusting his blankets really just trying to give her hands something to do. Laying her head down beside DO's hand, she looked up at him, assessing all of his cuts and bruises.

MinJung looked up quickly when she heard Beakhyun say her name. She couldn't help but smile, even though it was kind of odd to smile in such a situation. "Oh you're awake!" She said, relieved. "What happened? Are you majorly hurt, or just small things for now? Will you be able to walk again?" She asked, one question after another. It was so nice to finally voice all her questions! However, Min paused and put her hand on his. "Actually, don't answer. It might tire you out." She finished, taking a deep breath and slowly letting it out. She wanted to cry now from both relief and all the emotions building up.

Kyungsoo moved lightly then jerked awake all of the sudden. He flinched at a sudden strike of pain but didn't voice anything. Slowly relaxing again, Kyungsoo began to look around, though hardly moving his neck, and saw Tian, Bekhyun, and Min. He mumbled something but it was so slurred it wasn't possible to make out, not to mention the oxygen mask muffled it. D.O lifted his hand slightly and smiled as best he could at Tian.

"I'm fine. They're just small injuries, really!" Baek insisted, "Don't worry about it, I'll be able to walk, it'll just take a little while though.." Looking down at Min's hand, which now laid to rest on his. "The press must be going crazy right now, I'm almost too scared to check." He added a small chuckle as best as he could, but it had a slight rasp to it. Sobering up slightly, he looked up, "I'm sorry for worrying you and Tian, it must be really late, and now you've had to wait outside in the hospital for a few hours..."

Tian's head snapped up as DO stirred, and mumbled something so slurred she was pretty sure a native Korean speaker wouldn't be able to understand it, much less someone with broken Korean. A giggle passed through her mouth at Kyungsoo's smile, it was so relieving to see him awake again. Tears welled up in her eyes, and unlike Min, poured out of her eyes as she brushed them away in embarrassment. She could never understand how her friend held in so many emotions within her. "Are you alright?"

Min kept smiling, glad to hear him speaking and express he wasn't in that much pain. "That's a relief." She breathed. At the mention of the press Min's expression turned sour. "There were many reporters in the waiting room when we left to see you, but they were all asking the desk ladies questions." MinJung explained. "You don't think they'd let them here now, do you?" She asked, glancing back at the door and pulling her hand away. It would look bad and cause a scandal if someone got a picture of them together. That was the last thing she wanted to deal with, and he probably couldn't handle it either. "Oh, I was up anyways." She lied when he mentioned it being late and suggesting she was asleep. "And I needed a break from writing." She added, looking back down at him.

Kyungsoo patted Tian's hand lightly as she started crying. It was horrible making any girl cry, let alone her. She was so delicate. Attempting to speak again, Kyungsoo managed to speak a little louder however his words were once again to slurred to understand. It was obvious now he was drugged, sure signs being his speech and slow reactions, including extremely slow blinking.

"No, I don't think they're going to let in the reporters.. The nurses are tough, they'll be able to shoo them away soon." Seeing Min's sour expression, "Don't worry, they won't know where our rooms are, and no one other than specifically requested visitors, friends, or family are allowed into the Intensive Care Unit." Baek knew it was silly, but it hurt a little bit. Was she this ashamed of being seen with him? "Ah.. well, did I give you the break that you needed?" He joked, trying to lighten up the mood. "What were you writting about?"

It was obvious that Kyungsoo had been drugged, yet he had managed to pat her hand. Tightening her grip just slightly, she squeezed his hand, burying her head in the blankets beside DO's hand, reminiscing in the warmth of his skin. He would never realize just how relieved she had been when she had seen him. "Shhh, you don't have to talk.." Tian murmured as DO tried again to speak. "Get some sleep.. Min and I will be right here if you or Baekhyun need anything."

"Oh, that's true." She said, taking a deep breath. Min laughed slightly. "Yes?" She offered, raising an eyebrow. "I guess the isn't the exact break I was looking for, but it'll do." Hesitating at his last question, Min shrugged. "Well, y'know. Just the normal stuff." Min fiddled with her shirt hem. She didn't want to tell him she was actually sleeping, that could hurt his feelings...

Kyungsoo mumbled something again but ended up falling asleep in the middle of the in audible sentence...

The night and early morning passed by slowly for Min as she occasionally fell asleep for a few minutes then woke back up. She hadn't ever slept in a hospital and every time she woke up it surprised her to see the machines and white rooms. A nurse came in and check on the boys occasionally, but most of the time they slept.

When 10:30 finally came around Kyungsoo awoke. Now his medicine was wearing off and he could actually think straight. He grumbled and looked around to see Tian beside him. "Hmm? What are you..." His voice faded off. Attempting to sit up Kyungsoo flinched at the pain in his wrist. He had not received any major injuries but did brake his wrist and received a temporary concussion.

Lucky for little Baek, his medicine seemed to be wearing off faster than Hyung's over there, meaning he could piece together a sentence. "Maybe next time, I'll give you an even more spontaneous break." He joked adding a small raspy chuckle, which was lost through the oxygen mask. "Tell me sometime..?" Baek trailed off, eyelids drooping again.

Baek came around fully at about 10:30 in the morning after sleeping through the whole entire night. While his medicines had worn off meaning he could think straight, the constant pain had come back as well, meaning he was back at base one: he still couldn't think straight. Luckily, a nurse walked in before administering another dose of pain medication, allowing the teen to relax again. Min looked so peaceful asleep, and he felt so guilty making her stay for the entire night in the hospital. "Morning.." He murmured.

Tian dozed lightly, waking up several times in the night either to check on DO or a nurse shuffled by, waking her up. The hospital room hadnt startled her though.. As a young child she and her sister had always been in the sicklier side, and had always been in and out of the hospital, though they had both outgrown some of it, meaning they didn't get as sick as they used to as children.

In the morning, when Tian finally awoke, her head had begun pounding, her cheeks had flushed and her whole body felt hot to the touch. She stood up, wobbly, her legs shaking from being in the same uncomfortable pose all night. She didn't want DO to catch whatever she had caught last night; and she made her way to a nurse, leaning on the wall since she was dizzy. The nurse gave her a Tylenol pill, before Tian made her way back after swallowing it. "You're awake!" Tian cried happily, careful not to wake up Baek and Min.

Min sat with her head laid against the wall, taking a moment to rest her eyes before reopening them. She felt exhausted, however, at the sound of Beakhyun's voice she perked up and smiled. "Morning. How are you feeling?" She asked, moving her chair closer to the bed then brushing her hair back into a ponytail. "Are you feeling okay, now?" She asked.

Kyungsoo smiled across at her. "Hello. Have you been here long?" He asked, shifting his body and getting to a sitting position. Looking Tian over, he could tell she was tired, but from what, he couldn't guess. The though of her staying here all night hadn't even crossed his mind. "Wait, Is Beakhyun okay?" He asked, not waiting for her previous reply. The curtains between each bed blocked the view of Beakhyun.

"I feel right as rain, now." He felt relatively well now that he was drugged again, but his brain wasn't as addled as last night. "Sorry for making you stay all night. You must be exhausted.. Do you want to get something to eat?" Baek asked Min, looking at the dark circles under her eyes.

"Not for that long.." She lied, hopping her dark circles wouldn't give her away. "Baek's fine. He's right behind the curtain, Min's with him." Tian stood up, legs wobbly from staying in that position for so long, before she opened the curtains, revealing Baek and Min. "Are you feeling better?" She asked the two f them.
