Round 3 Update:
The Mask Recover except for One

Yet again a light glows after beating what ever task and creatures you have come to face. The mask seems to await you inside. Except those of the Stone Tower for whatever you are at seems to be taken to a pause. Stepping through the light once more soon finding yourselves at a new village a place called Kakariko Village a few may have been somewhere similar or even to this same place but yet to some it is new.

Those who may have gone off once more doing more or less there own thing once more going the distance seems to be a man running.

He stops and hands out to you a letter. "For the Hero and or heroes" He stated then after taking the letter he leaves. Reading it it tells you how to get to a village called Kakariko and that you need to head there as soon as possible. Heading and soon arriving you see the others.

A unhappy sight awaits all of you.

You all see poor Lank his neck seems to had been snapped killing him. He seems to had left Reci and Navi behind. What shall the fairy's do now maybe they can tell you details of what perhaps they saw. How might Reci move on. "Lank no! Why?" You would hear Navi cry. She seems a bit in Shock but Reci is just rather quiet either way might should speak to the fairies no matter how annoying one might be.

Ri felt disappointed that they did not find the mask before being brought back to the large group, but it was beyond her control after all. She didn't know what to do at this time except to listen in on the others conversing, especially about the deceased Lank. She closed her eyes, and thought to remember her experience and interaction with Lank, and she wished in her mind a thought towards him, whether or not he existed on another level and would know her thoughts was another matter.

"I am sorry for your pain, I hope you feel it no longer. And I hope we are able to find the one who killed you."

Ven had been rather quiet lately. It wasn't like him, but since many of the people from their group didn't know him it was likely that this detail had gone unnoticed. Or if the people did notice Ventus' silence, they likely wrote it off as being connected to his sadness after suffering the loss of Kanzaki. While he was sad about her loss, that wasn't the cause of his silence either.

In truth, the boy's mental and physical health wasn't well. Although he had been asleep for ten years to compensate for his damaged heart, his slumber hadn't entirely helped to mend the damage. It was hard for Ven to focus on anything because of this; his mind drifted in and out of dream-like states as he tried to go about his business. Where Ven came from, a heart was just as important as a soul. With a damaged one, it was difficult for Ven to even be like himself at all.

Yes, it was a bad problem indeed. Alone, that issue was already a lot for Ven to handle. Sadly, however, it wasn't his only issue either. The blond had another problem plaguing him. Long ago, Ven had the darkness from within him extracted by his former master. This darkness came to life and took form, becoming another being entirely; this being was named Vanitas. He was the dark half of Ven's heart. Ventus had hoped he destroyed this dark being in the past, but in truth, he hadn't.

Vanitas was made up of the darkness within Ven's heart. He was a part of Ven. So Vanitas could never be destroyed. He would always be a part of Ven, lurking in the shadows. So, after having been defeated by Ven, he hadn't been destroyed, but had instead gone to sleep within his heart.

And with Ven struggling to stay focused, Vanitas took it as an opportunity to take charge. He briefly took over Ven's body, pushing Ven's consciousness away for a while.

If that explanation was difficult for anyone to understand, one could say Ven had an alternate personality: a bad one. And he had woken up after a long sleep within Ven's consciousness.

So when their group arrived in this new area, Vanitas didn't give a shit about Lank's dead body, Navi, Reci, or the overall plot connected to their current situation. Smirking, he walked toward the villagers. His eyes glowed yellow, different then Ven's, and his voice even sounded different when he spoke.

"Hey, any of you losers happen to know what's going on in this place or how I can get out of here?" he asked, directing his comment at any of the villagers or anyone from his group.

Unlike Ven, Vanitas didn't really care about helping any of the others from this world. His concern was solely based on what he could gain that would benefit him in any way.

"Elder, huh?" Ven's darker personality asked. "Psh, fine, I'll ask him considering your bit of information was rather worthless." The rather rude boy shoved the child aside and walked onward to find the elder of the village. He hoped the child would fall on the ground, being a bully who liked to see others get hurt, but he hadn't really shoved him all that hard. Gee, it was too bad that Vanitas was just an ass in comparison to Ventus.
