"we all need a little bit of it in our lives" she said as she finished to wash the dishes quickly and when he asked where to put his plate she told him to put it in the sink so she could wash it. Kindness, the one thing no one realy showed her when she was put under a microscope for a crime she couldn't have commited and wouldn't have either. They all looked at her like she was scum at the bottom of their shoes or a drunk bum on the streets. She felt so lonlely and isolated. It got worse when her parents kicked her out and alll her so called friends shunned her. She had no one. If it wern't for the owners of the dojo she was sure she would've become a very bitter and angry pearson. They showed her kindness when no one would. The had no reason to yet they did. They refused to let her pay them back in any way or accecpt their moeny so she settled for the living arangments and an 'allowence' as well as teaching at the dojo. It was the least she could do, that and secreatly stash all the money she doesn't use to donate to them after her sentance was over under a diffrent name so they can't force her to take the money back. She knew arguing with them was useless and they were as stuborn as they were old.

"you can go wash up in the bathroom" she said to him "first door on the left after you go up the stairs" she said hopign he'd wash up a bit, she'd set aside some spare towels and other things for him to wear, sadly all she had to offer him was a pair of shorts, sweatpants, a tee and an old jacket

((Happy Holidays))

"you can go wash up in the bathroom. first door on the left after you go up the stairs" Alyxander placed the plate in the sink as she had instructed and nodded. His family wasn't medieval- they did indulge in modern inventions- so a bathroom was not a new thing for him. At least there were a few things that were familiar to him in this world of unfamiliarity. "I will be quick." He responded over his shoulder as he proceeded up the stairs. "I would hate to make you late."

A half hour later, Alyx returned downstairs with a towel draped around his shoulders. He had decided against wearing the same clothes as the night before, as Suki would scold him no doubt. She seemed the type. The sweatpants weren't too bad, a little tight, and the t-shirt was no worse. Having always worn a suit or, at least, jeans and button-up shirt, this new outfit was a nice change. If his family saw him dressed like this, they would be ashamed. "Informal attire such as this was not befitting of the noble vampire race." He could almost hear his mother's voice saying these words in the back of his mind. No surprise, given her uptight personality. She was suffocating; how could his sister stand her? His sister adored their parents, even though she didn't agree on their views of marriage. But she was still young, and wouldn't understand such things anyways. His mother and father had succeeded in poisoning her entirely against the world outside the gates of their home. They wanted to tie him down with some high society vampiress to keep him from doing exactly what he had done now; embarrassed them. Embarrassed them because they could not control him like they could his sister.

In one hand, he carried a hairbrush. With the other, he worked at towel-drying his messy locks to keep from dripping water all over the floor or dampening the borrowed clothes he had been graciously allowed to wear. "I appreciate the clothes; they fit well."

(you too! and a happy new year!)
`don`t worry you won`t`` she said as she watched him go up and wrapped up the food and packed her bags to take to the dojo. she called in that she`d be bringing a friend with her for the day. the owners cleared it right away welcoming youngsters was one thing they loved. that and strighting out the adults who needed their heads beaten on right if a long lecture didn`t fix their lose screws. She was ready to go and was just waiting on her guest now to come down before she took them both to her work place so she could start her job. Teaching the mornign classes full of graying women who wanted to know more and be able to keep themselves safe. their kids were all at school and she`d most likely see them in her after noon classes too. Hell sometimes she`d teach a familys worth of members! It was rare but none the less fun and less stressful for the family seeing how the dojo has family plan discounts.

Her own family had been like that. Her grandfather was retired and ran a police school where she went to. the whole family went there. policing and justice was in their blood. They all became police, seceruity, lawyers or judges. strighting others out and defending the poor. They`d all lived together minus her grandparents who lives seperated from the family. They`d all been so close. but now...now they were all seperated. all because of her. Hell it wasn`t even her fault! but no...her oppion didn`t matter because she was the criminal. she wasn`t family if she was one. Her heart still ached and throbed at the past. She`d tried to move on but...somthings just take more time to heal then what people say.

She checked the clock and called in to say she`d be tight on time and that the students should be let in for her and told to warm up so they could get going the moment she got in. She even got changed so all she`d have to do is take the top layer off and get to work. She looked up when she heard him come down. `took your time didn`t you?` she said a little anoyed he took that long. `pop on your shoes and lets go`she said putting her`s on

"took your time didn`t you" Alyxander gave Suki a look of slight confusion. "I apologize for the inconvenience." 'Though I do not understand why I am at fault.' Her annoyance made no sense to him; he had been quick, just as he promised. Much faster than usual. If she had woken him up earlier than she had, maybe they wouldn't be in such a time crunch. He put on his shoes as she asked, running the brush through his half-dried hair. "Where should I put this?" He held the towel that had been draped over his shoulders, not wanting to leave it on the ground or hung over the railing of the stairs or some random place like that.

After the towel issue had been dealt with, Alyx followed in silence out of the house. He hadn't meant to make them late, as they obviously are.

"get on" she said as she got on her bicycle and set their food and other things in the large basket attached to the handlebars, there was a long wooden board behind her seat above the back wheel with saaddle bags hanging over them. you'll need to hold on to me or you'all off" she warned patting the back seat like structure. It wasn't much and it was all she had too. A car would cost too much and cause her a lot of trouble for her to keep. all the papwork for her to own a car while on her sentance was just a pain and a bicycle like this was much easier to care for and store. at least she didn't have to pay gas or that rediculus high insurance rate. She didn't have that kind of moeny. or rather she just didn't want to spend it on somthing that she coudl find a much cheeper alternative too. Plus it was much faster then a car seeing she never left the city to do much
