It's not that it burns when you get close, there is a gap in the barrier in the garden, and if you get out you can turn to dust from aging, it feels like burning. Some girls have managed to reach out, lose limbs or become wrinkled, before coming back in.
I didn't want to spell it all out but yes. The garden has a bit of a gap in it to get through, but you'd have to find it and risk it.

Bio: She was a Japanese child soldier of a failed government project. The 23 children were meant to be used as combative soldiers for the military, but were deemed to dangerous and immediately executed, all except for Noodle, who was escorted to safety in London. She spent most of her time their writing songs and playing a guitar. A whole fiasco occurred soon after, and she'd returned as a mature adult.
