What happens when you throw together a band of completely different heroes, anti-heroes, and villains with similar goals and clashing methods? No two people are the same, sure, but for these folk? That doesn't even begin to describe it. Yes, this little squad is less than likely to prevail with their many differences.... But what 'heroes' ever had the odds leaning in their favor?

If you could call them that.

---

So, basically, this will be a crossover roleplay. However, it will also majorly consist of revamped/reinvented characters- meaning that canons will be taken and changed by their player. Whether that means that they'll simply be changed in age or gender, or their entire backstory is rewritten, is up to the player. Depending on what all characters/how many there are, it might focus on multiple smaller groups per arc. Also, OCs are definitely welcome!

"AGAIN!? WHY CAN'T I FIND SOMEONE THAT DOESN'T DIE IN ONE PUNCH!?"

Name:
Saitama
Title: The Bald Cape
Age:
25
Backstory:

More than three years prior to the start of the story line, Saitama was an unemployed man on a job hunt. One day, after yet another failed interview, a nihilistic-feeling Saitama was wandering the streets and encountered Crabrante. Saitama's total apathy toward the situation impresses Crabrante, who claims to share a similar outlook, prompting him to spare Saitama and move on. Crabrante tells him that his real prey is a child with a cleft chin anyway.

Walking on, Saitama spots the child Crabrante was talking about. He decides that he doesn't want anything to do with the matter but after Crabrante suddenly arrives, Saitama impulsively saves the child from Crabrante's attack. He urges the child to run away and demands to know why Crabrante wants the boy dead. While Crabrante explains the prank the boy pulled on him, Saitama chuckles and notes aloud how the monster resembles one from an anime Saitama watched in his youth. This enrages Crabrante, who pummels Saitama even after the latter resolves to live out his childhood dream of being a superhero by fighting back. As Crabrante turns from the apparently defeated Saitama to finish the cleft-chinned boy, Saitama lassos one of his eye stalks with the loop of his removed tie and tears it out. The monster is defeated and the child saved. Unknown to him, the child confronted his grandfather for the creation of the Hero Association in Saitama's honor for saving his grandchild from the monster's crime.

Inspired to train by this, Saitama, over the course of three years, became the strongest hero in the world, having developed completely immeasurable strength, speed (capable of sub-relativistic speeds when jumping, or 93,886,328.1 miles per hour), reflexes, superb senses, psychic immunity, and apparent invulnerability. Throughout his time as a hero, he has taken things intended to destroy planets and been punted to the moon, both without even being tired out. All the while, no one he fully intends to kill has survived a single punch, even people claiming to have the ability to survive a planet busting attack of their own.

He has never been demonstrated to have gone even close to all out, and, frankly, the thought of him going all out is kind of terrifying.

Other:
In universe, Saitama is already crushed by his inability to find a good fight. The main difference is that this Saitama is so defeated by this that he refuses to engage in combat unless the other heroes absolutely cannot handle it. He is very nihilistic and snarky, where Saitama is ordinarily hopeful and brushes off any insult not directed at his bald head.

Age: 26

Jessica_Drew_aka_Spider_Woman_by_mwof.jpg

Background:

Powers/Abilities:
-Superhuman Strength:
Spider-Woman's muscular density and strength have been extraordinarily enhanced and enable her to lift about 7 tons.
-Superhuman Stamina: Spider-Woman's musculature generates less fatigue toxins during physical activity than the musculature of an ordinary human. She can exert herself at peak capacity for several hours before fatigue begins to impair her.
-Superhuman Durability: Spider-Woman's body is somewhat tougher and more resistant to injury than an ordinary human's, although she is far from invulnerable. She is capable of withstanding impact forces that would severely injure or kill an ordinary human with only mild to moderate discomfort.
-Danger Intuition: As the name implies, this is a danger sense.. Meaning Jess can sense danger.
-Superhuman Agility: Spider-Woman's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels beyond the human body's natural limits.
-Superhuman Reflexes: Spider-Woman's natural reaction time and reflexes are enhanced to levels beyond the human body's natural limits.
-Superhuman Flexibility: Spider-Woman's body is extraordinarily limber and her tendons and connective tissues are twice as flexible as the average human being's, despite the augmented musculature and its enhanced strength.
-Superhuman Hearing: Spider-Woman's hearing is superhumanly acute and enables her to detect sound at virtually any frequency, and she's been known to detect, sort out, and correctly identify sounds through thick steel doors, and across considerable distances.
-Wall-Crawling: Spider-Woman's limbs can adhere to surfaces via electrostatic attraction. Spider-Woman can hold and carry a considerable amount of extra weight while sticking to walls without falling off; it's safe to assume that the weight she can carry is dozens of times her own, and the limits of how long she can do this before fatigue sets in are still unknown.
-Venom Blasts: Her body possesses an inordinate amount of bio-electricity that she has learned to channel and discharge through her hands, in controlled bursts of what she calls "Venom Blasts". These energy projections vary in power; they mostly affect the nervous system in humans. Spider-Woman can regulate them from simply a stun to potent enough to kill an average-sized man in the same way that a lightning bolt could kill him.
-Pheromone Secretion: Her metabolism generates certain types of pheromones that can create fear, elicit attraction and/or repulsion on others, depending on unknown factors which might include gender and mood.
-Strong-Willed: Even through difficult times, Jess stays strong and won't give up.

Weaknesses/Tragic Flaw:
-Unused to powers: Despite having had her abilities for a while, Jess is still getting used to them, and isn't fully accustomed to them quite yet.
-Awkward: This isn't a problem with her vigilante acts, but in social surroundings, Jess is extremely socially awkward.
-Super Senses: While this is somewhat a positive thing, this feat makes Jess incredulously sensitive to sound and smells. As such, loud noises or overwhelming scents can incapacitate her for a period and slow her down quite a bit.
-Claustrophobia: Jessabelle gets extremely uncomfortable in crowds, and tries to avoid them unless absolutely necessary.
-Power Toll: Jessabelle's one real power, Venom Blasts, are extremely tolling, and often leave her weakened for a good few hours at least.
-Stubborn: Good luck getting this bitch to give into you.

Background:

Weslyn's story is a very.. Complex, one. She lived what couldn't really be described as a good life in a small house in the country with her mother, father, and little brother, Wesley. To say the family got along well would be.. Well, a massive lie. Weslyn's mother was extremely kind, softspoken, and tender, while her father was just the opposite. He was strict, always yelling about something, and was extremely abusive.

Weslyn, while at least slightly intelligent even at a young age, was kept well away from public school by her father's demand. He insisted it'd just be a waste of time and money; that his only daughter would never amount to anything. Despite, her mother taught her in private, behind her father's back. But, basic education wasn't the only thing that her mother taught Weslyn in private... She was also taught to wield a small variety of knives and shorter blades, though the young girl never understood why. All her mother would tell her when she asked was that 'you may need it, one day'.

The torture and abuse from her father began at a young age, and she knew it occurred with her brother, too. Oftentimes with her trying to shield him. This went on for almost nine years, with the abuse gradually getting worse. But, this wasn't a random event; unlike how quiet and obedient she had been as a younger child, Weslyn had started fighting the torture; struggling when her father tried to take her to do it, and even going as far as to use her mother's teachings to lash out at him a few times.

A little before her twelfth birthday, though, Weslyn's suffering finally came to an end; her father had died. Murdered, the police had said, but they couldn't figure out the killer. This experience would've been much happier, if Weslyn's mother hadn't been killed that same day. Lyn and her brother were picked up by the police, and when they spotted both children's clear injuries, were taken to the hospital.

By this point, the damage was done, though; Lyn had already developed severe Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and had started showing signs of at least mild DID years before.. This was too late to fix. The doctors knew that as soon as Weslyn had explained what all had happened and answered all of their questions. She was immediately diagnosed for these two disorders, and after her physical wounds were treated, she was sent to an orphanage with her younger brother who was the mere age of five. She never mentioned the voices in her head, always telling her to do things.

For a year or so, the girl stayed there; the odd one out in the orphanage, considering her countless scars, abnormal personality, and newly-developed cocky and witty attitude. She was a smart-alec, and that was a huge understatement.

Eventually realizing her massive changes in personality occurring that she couldn't even remember without others telling her about them, and her blacking out and coming to with everyone staring at her like she'd become a monster while unconscious, Weslyn felt completely broken... And couldn't stand staying there like this. She didn't belong.

So, when everyone had gone to sleep for the night, Weslyn snuck out of her room, peering into the room her brother had been assigned to briefly. There, she gently kissed his forehead and whispered a goodbye, breaking her self-absorbed mask for a few fleeting moments, before leaving the orphanage forever.. And never looking back.

It hurt, leaving her brother like that.. But she knew it was better this way; if only just for her. It was a selfish move to pull, something she didn't realize til much later, but she couldn't care at the time. Because the second she left, she knew that she needed to focus on herself if she wanted to make it.

Living on the streets was extremely difficult to pull off.. There was the fact that, with her need for attention, it was hard to keep from attracting cops or authorities that would try to take her back to an orphanage. There was the fact she needed to beg to survive; something she was too proud to do. And, then, there was the fact that she had no shelter or place to sleep that she saw fit to use.

Okay, looked like the kid had developed a bit of pride.

She managed to pull it off for a while, though; the voices always gave her advice on what to do... Were there for her when no one else was. Told her what was okay to take, what wasn't. Who to avoid, and who would possibly help her. They weren't always right, but she trusted them like they were.

Soon enough, though, the problem was solved: she was asleep one night, and woke up on a comfy bed the next morning. The second she awoke, she shot up to a sitting position, immediately realizing she wasn't where she had fallen asleep at. The first sight she was met with was a man sitting in a chair across from the bed, staring straight at her.

The man gave her an offer she couldn't resist: a place to stay, food to eat, and a bed to sleep in... Even access to learning materials, video games, and to Weslyn's sheer excitement and joy; weapons of all kinds. What she had to do in return? Let a few men observe her and run a few tests. At the time, the catch hadn't seemed like a big deal; and it didn't for quite some time.

She was allowed to do basically whatever she pleased. She practiced with every weapon she could get her hands on; quickly determining that firearms, blades, and her fists were her favorite weapons.. Aside from nun-chucks. Little did she know that practice using weapons was exactly what these men who'd taken her in wanted; to make her a fighting machine.

When she wasn't wielding guns or having personal training to stay fit, the now fifteen-year-old was often playing video games or doing schoolwork. That, or doing odd little tasks for the men that she didn't understand the point of, when she wasn't blacking out and doing things she couldn't remember.

Something bad had started happening, though.. The voices had started telling her to do darker things. To hurt people.. Shoot things. Blow stuff up. Let all hell loose. She ignored them, out of better judgement.. But began pondering listening to them. She was tempted to, at times; other times, she was completely disgusted by even the thought. But, she was forced to oblige when killing someone was one of the tasks the men instructed her to complete. She knew they'd kick her out if she didn't do it.. So, reluctantly, she did.

And after that, they made her do it more. Gave her special rewards if she did it, and even started giving her more freedom for it. She was being shaped into a fighting and killing machine; a mercenary. And, without ever having had any guidance on how to be good? She let it happen.

This went on for another two years, before Weslyn suddenly found herself in some sort of strange facility when she awoke from one of the blackouts. She started panicking and struggling, blacking right back out after this started.

For a period of time Weslyn couldn't even determine, she faded in and out of consciousness, always spotting similar surroundings whenever she was awake. An odd, dreary and dark facility with people that looked to be scientists all around; speaking to each other while doing things to her. She could never tell what was being said.. Their voices sounded distant and blurred to her, and she never really had time to think hard enough to determine what was said before falling unconscious again.

Eventually reawaking, Weslyn quickly found that many changes had come. She wasn't where sje had been before, she looked older, and was completely covered in scars from head to toe. She felt more conflicted- the voices in her mind fighting against her own wants to do good. The former often winning out, consuming her own desire and making it difficult to determine her wants from the voices'.

Since then, Weslyn realized that she healed at an incredible pace. Not only that, but she had higher stamina, faster reflexes, and more strength than she had remembered to her. She strained her mind to recall what had happened, back in that facility.. But it only ever gave her a headache.

Powers/Abilities:
-Regenerative Healing Factor(Passive): Weslyn has a fairly strong healing factor. Minor wounds such as cuts, punctures, bruises and low-degree burns heal fairly quickly. Bullet wounds and larger slashes heal fairly quickly, as in a good few hours minimum, but they do take time. However, mortal/severe wounds take days to heal, and she is not immortal.
-Foreign Chemical Resistance: Lady Deadpool's body is highly resistant to most drugs and toxins. For example, it is extremely difficult(though not impossible) for her to become intoxicated. She can, however, be affected by certain drugs(such as tranquilizers) if she is exposed to a large enough dosage.
-Fourth Wall Awareness: Just as the name implies, this is awareness of the fourth wall. There's no real explanation as to why Weslyn has this.. But the most likely answer is her unstable mental state and what others assume to be 'hallucinations'.
-Jumbled Mind: Due to her mental instability, Weslyn's mind is a bit difficult to navigate for telepaths. However, it isn't impossible.
-Weapons Training: Even growing up, Weslyn had been expected to train all different sorts of weapons.. Most commonly, firearms and blades.
-High Pain Tolerance: Due to having faced a high amount of exposure to pain and injury growing up, Weslyn has a fairly high pain tolerance.. Though this only goes so far.
-Heightened Stamina: Lady Deadpool's musculature generates considerably less fatigue toxins than the muscles of an ordinary human being, granting her heightened levels of stamina in all physical activities. She can physically exert herself at peak capacity for several hours before fatigue begins to impair her.
-Heightened Agility: Lady Deadpool's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of even the finest human athlete.
-Heightened Reflexes: Her reflexes are similarly enhanced, superior to those of even the finest human athlete.

Weaknesses/Tragic Flaw:
-Bad at being good: While Weslyn tries her best to be a good guy, she's clueless on how to do it.. And is thus freakin' terrible at it, often doing the wrong thing with good intentions. I.E, while a normal person would try to apprehend a kidnapper with a hostage over having to hurt them, Weslyn would likely just shoot them without thinking about it twice.
-Desperate for attention: Lady Deadpool can be very.. needy, in this field.
-Annoying: This comes from both her mental state and her aforementioned need for attention. She can go a bit far in her need for people to notice her, and will go as far as demonstrating dangerous tricks to make it happen.
-PTSD: Due to facing many traumatic experiences growing up, Weslyn has PTSD.. Which later lead to the development of DID. So, mention of her past is extremely painful for her, and can even cause her to break down if it's brought up too far or thrown in her face.
-Lonely: Weslyn has very few friends, due to the fact she has a tendency to get on others' nerves. Because of this, she's extremely lonely.. Which is another piece of why she strives for the attention and affection of others so often.
-Head Voices/DID: Weslyn suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder; also known as Multiple Personality Disorder. Because of this, she can be fairly unpredictable, often blacking out in the middle of things. She also has voices in her head, and frequently talks to herself.
-Personality Shifts/Unpredictable: Because of the DID, Weslyn is extremely unpredictable. She could be trying to help someone one moment, and turning around and trying to kill them the next if the wrong personality comes in at the wrong time.
-Easily Distracted: This isn't always the case, but Lyn can be fairly easy to distract, at times. If you could pull it off and be convincing enough, you could probably get her to look away to escape.

Work In Progress
BASICS
N a m e: Nobody 'Bod' Owens
Alias: Mime
Age: 23
Appearance: Bod is a male whose not to muscular yet also not to gangly in appearance. He stands at 5'10 with scruffy black hair that is often slicked back in order to have a more orderly appearance and wears a button up with slacks and suspenders or a vest in short. Anything that closely resembles a mime is usually what buddy will wear when he's out causing trouble or trying to be 'the hero' if his clone(s) don't get the best of him. His makeup is simple and cheap since he likes the whole 'worn out' look it gives after a long day of action and he often appears sullen or dull to the outside world.

Power(s): Bod has the ability to duplicate himself at will and can create a maximum of 4 replications of himself. As simple as it may sound however, there is a lot more to it than one may even think to consider. For starters, These clones of Bod are entitled to their own opinions and as a result he personally finds it exhausting to put up with each them as they are not 'exact' copies and behave more like children. Another issue is that because they are not 'exact replications' of himself, they also represent some aspect of Bod as a person and thus the only difference amongst them is their eye color to indicate their personality type. They also represent a sort of 'clown' type.

Red = Rage, War ; Stubborn Sadist | Jester
Gray = Cowardice, Fear ; Apologetic Masochist | Mime
Green = Bravery, Heroism ; Snarky Confidence | Harlequin
Gold = Happiness, Love ; Playful Seducer | Clown

It isn't common that there is also a team up amongst the clones or 'favorites' if you will: Red overpowering gray by force, and yellow paired with green. The only exceptional clone amongst the 3 he cannot tame as well as the others would be Rage; who has a more dominant mindset and is often the clone summoned with or against bod's will. In fact interestingly enough despite having 4 clones in total, rage is the main clone that Bod has beside him often.

Weaknesses:
→ The more clones Bod creates, the more energy it drains him of ; causing him to have terrible migraines and even bloody noses if he keeps them out for to long; the only exception being rage since rage is a clone who is summoned the most and therefore is accustomed to stay for long periods of time.
→ Bod's replicates can only be summoned all at once for only 10 minutes.
→ Bod shares the pain or damage being inflicted on him with his clones and vice versa. However if a clone were to be seriously damaged by say, a weapon or knife, Bod will not receive an actual wound from the knife once the clone returns to the host--rather he will receive the pain they felt mentally and as weak as it sounds it actually mentally exhausts and shocks him. His 'actual body' also becomes weary as soon as the duplicate 'dies' and comes back to him due to the immense damage they've taken (IE; if you were to hit or punch a clone a number of times before they disappear back to their host-body; Bod's body becomes affected by it or sore from the punches..).
→ The clones heavily depend on the state of their host.
→ If bod is severely injured, his clones 'die'.
→ If bod is in a weakened state and gets weaker then his clones will one by one be dismissed on their own.

→ It is very clear that Bod's replicates each appear uniquely different most of the times. While they are physically and overall similarly resemble Bod; their eyes and hair are always different which frustrates Bod most of the times as he often scolds them to look like him more, they simply refuse to unless the situation is dire.
Rage: Has more of a 'tough' and rugged looking appearance. He's the grouch with a mean face. His hair is straight and slicked back neatly.
Cowardice: appears more gloomy and depressed, 'peculiar' even. He has bags under his eyes and walks with a slight hunch. He has messy soft curls that also shadows over his eyes slightly.
Heroism: Keeps his hair long and has a more princely-aura. His hair is also combed back but in a more effortless way as he doesn't care about its neatness. Like his cowardly-counterpart his hair is also wavy.
Happiness: Is rowdy and even obnoxious. He always has a smile and a fun aura and his hair is ear length and has more prominent waves.

Personal weaknesses
→ Dismissing a replicate can be a very tedious process since they have their own thoughts and opinions. So as a result they may stay until Bod's energy runs out or until they're personally destroyed. They may also have the tendency to pop up unwanted--especially if bod feels a particular emotion very strongly. This frustrates [Rage] due to the fact that he is the main clone and dislikes being switched out with the others all cause bod can't keep his emotions in check.
→ Bod has a 'weak mentality' to over power his clones. So more often than not he's like that parent that tells them to go away while the four clones are brats and simply stomp on him. They're not completely disobedient though and if anything [rage] is the one who keeps them in check.

Backstory: test

Other:
» Bod {and his clones} are all 'old school'. They mutually like the song Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. To get even deeper, Happiness adores the song Footloose by Kenny Loggins.

Genos: basically the sidekick/worshiper of Saitama

Backstory:
When Genos was 15 his entire town was obliterated by a rogue cyborg. Having been one of the only survivors (not including his parents) he swore to find and destroy that cyborg. Shortly later he was adopted by a scientist trying to stop the rouge cyborg.
The scientist granted Genos his wish for more power, by turning him into a cyborg that can turn skyscrapers to dust with relative ease.

Powers:
Plasma beams
Bullet like energy projectiles
Missles
Rocket propelled speed
(cannot fly for some reason)
Overclock beam
(He jettisons all the energy from his sigularity capacitor in one big plasma beam)
Ridiculously durable armor, it can take blows that turn normal humans to goo and can survive getting a bath of acid (though renders him helpless)

Drawbacks:
He requires charging every now and then.
No biological self healing (does not heal over time on his own)

Mental ability: he appears to be very smart, ace-ing a test upon entry to the hero association.
He is constantly trying to find the secret to Saitamas power, and takes every word from him as truth and law and is generally offended whenever someone is even slightly rude (usually threatening them in some way).

"When all you have is a hammer, everyone is a nail."

Reinhardt is a hulking giant of a man, standing at 7'4" in his armor and 7'1" outside of it. Though clearly old, he is also clearly beyond normal humans in strength and toughness.

Age:

"Ach... I'm not as young as I used to be."

61.

Backstory:

"Ah, this old dog still knows a few tricks!"

Over thirty years ago, Overwatch was founded to counter the threat of the robot uprisings around the world. Reinhardt, a highly decorated German soldier, was inducted as part of the original Overwatch strike team that put an end to the Omnic Crisis. After the conflict's resolution, Overwatch grew into a global institution, keeping the peace in a war-torn world. Reinhardt proved himself to be one of its most stalwart champions.

Reinhardt's unique ethics and larger-than-life persona earned the admiration of his peers and superiors alike. Never afraid to speak his mind, he was Overwatch's most vocal supporter and, when necessary, its harshest critic, providing a constant reminder that Overwatch was meant to be a force for good. He got on well with Torbjörn(who maintained his armor). At some point he was stationed at Watchpoint: Gibraltar, where he got a tan.

Having served into his late fifties, Reinhardt was faced with mandatory retirement from combat operations. Despondent about being removed from active duty, Reinhardt feared that his days of purpose and glory had ended. As times grew darker and Overwatch came under suspicion of corruption and sedition, Reinhardt could only watch as the cause he had dedicated his life to defending surrendered in disgrace.

One year prior to its disbandanment, Overwatch's Swiss headquarters was destroyed, apparently killing Jack Morrison in the blast. Reinhardt spoke fondly of his former commander at his memorial service.
