Kazeyama: Shiawase Twilight 7

Never even attempting to move, Kazuo sat in the same seat he took pre-youkai 'attack', still keeping the same expression on his face as the rest of the students seemed to wander back into the fold; the lot of them amassing together in their familiar circle, tittering like the excited toddlers they were at the rather inconspicious ambush by such an ungainly and graceless creature.

He had a few "live" excerises in a class or two before this one, how some of the more..."escentric" teachers like to throw the students into the fray with quick thinking and improvised teamwork without warning. The logic behind it was to have a team building experience, where friendships and unity of a class room was forged.

Most of the time, it's used as a subsitute teaching tool when teachers were unprepared for the first day and just bribed any Day-Walking spirit who was hurting for some extra Hell-Cash into faux-bitch slapping them and rough up some of the hardier looking students abit before taking off while shouting out about vengances and curses to just make to seem more believable.

The counter-defense was sloppy, slow and inefficent. The black guy and Kenta seemed to be the only ones worth keeping an eye on, they seemed to actually piss the thing off enough for it to hit with it's real strength, fucking up Kenta alot more than it was probrably supposed to.

He made a mental note to avoid the unstable kid who threw shadow puppets and he waved off Kotaro and the chick since they were mostly throwing magic around. He could mimick their chants and their stances, but he never seemed to be able to focus any sort of Chi to make use of it.

All and all, it seemed to be a rather bland collection of classmates this years, sans the Kendo Captain and the new martial arts savy lightning guy. He made a rather peeved clicking noise as he pressed his tounge against his teeth, already making plans to transfer out of 3-S after he was done 'copying' the both of their physical abilities completely.

(TL;DR version: Kazuo just watched while everyone fought. Thinks the attack is a sham by Aoi-Sensei cause she's lazy. Gonna join Kendo Club and Steal kung fu and shit. Typical asshole stuff.)

Entering the campus grounds with such a leisurely walk, even for the term 'fashionably late' this particular student was now tardy. But that hardly mattered given the chaos going on in classroom 3-S. In fact that might even present grounds for some sort of excuse granted one would be required or even desired. Thankfully the late student who was also a last minute addition to the roster itself had arrived conveinently after the ruckus had calmed down.

Lord forbid he would have gotten involved in such a petty skirmish.

With a rather luxurious white trenchcoat enveloping a black longsleeve shirt he certainly stood out from those in uniform. Part of it due to the equally white fur collar of the coat. Below the waistline were a pair of blue jeans held tight by a brown belt with a small but thick golden buckle. At the end of those blue jeans was a pair of snow white knee-high boots adorned with stylish but seemingly pointless icy blue belts. The wearer of all this attire walked around the corner into the classroom's hallway while wearing a soft smile on his face and both hands resting snugly in the coat pockets. Luckily no one brushed up against him or they might have gotten a rather unearthly chill. Some might think he was either ill or didn't get out much due to the rather pale color of his skin. But then again they might just get lost in his icy blue eyes. . . especially if they were female.

Humming a tune to himself, only those familiar with Christmas songs would recognize it instantly. Even if it was out of season just a tad he couldn't resist the temptation. Only in his mind did this late arrival sing the words to the tune he so happily hummed. Perhaps at this point that was simply for the best.

Frosty, the snowman. . . was a jolly happy soul. With a corncob pipe and a button nose, and two eyes made out of coal. . .

At long last he finally strolled into the classroom while Aoi-Sensei held her head in pain from what the strange creature had done. Looking up at the board for his seat ever so briefly, he then let those icy blue eyes scan what classmates remained. Coldly he gazed upon them with harshness while his lips smiled softly in a devilish contrast one might expect from one of his kind. Thankfully he had enough concentration to spare right now for his chilling aura to remain almost entirely concealed from human perception. Almost seeming to glide along the floor with each step, his grace seemed utterly divine while heading toward a desk all the way at the back of the classroom. Meanwhile, he continued to hum the song until taking his seat and looking back up at the board to see his name again.

Yuki Arikado

There were surprisingly few students who came to Asahina sensei's office after the attack, likely many too proud to have the nurse to have a wound treated. Judging by what Yukisa saw, however, she was not deeply disturbed. She had not seen many students injured and certainly not to the extent that Kenta was injured. For those who were complaining of some acidic burns, Yukisa rinsed them with warm water first. After closer examination of them all, she deemed them minor. After applying antibacterial ointment, Yukisa wrapped a sterile bandage over the burns and gathered a few bandages in preparation to return to the classroom, considering the possibility that some of the students might have been too shy to go to Ahahina-sensei's office.

Remembering at the last minute, Yukisa grabbed the practice naginata also and tromped back to the classroom. When she arrived at the door, she noticed that there were even more students present than had begun the day. So many people were late, she realized with some surprise, that they were lucky that the attack had happened. Otherwise, they might have been in some trouble.

Scowling, Yukisa looked around the room to locate Aoi-sensei. She felt bad for having taken the weapon, even if it was necessary. Blushing a little bit, Yukisa approached her with the practice nagnata outstretched in her hands.

Aoi-sensei took the relative silence as an acceptance of everyone present to be mostly unharmed and she let out a sigh of relief. She nodded to Yukisa as she sat down and accepted the practice naginata back from her. "It appears that Kazeyama has claimed another strange first day." She shook her head sadly and turned back to her chalkboard. "Since we're down a couple of students we will have to save this lesson for tomorrow, in the meantime, I believe I will send word to Principal Ikawa and see what his decision is for the day. Until then, those of you who can, clean the mess and I will help as I can. Those of you who do not listen will be subjected to my special brand of punishment." She stated very matter-of-factly as she began erasing her words from the chalkboard and headed over to the phone near the door and picked it up.

Asahina-Sensei took the rag wetted in the water from Kazeyama river and wiped Kenta's wounds, his cries of pain fell on deaf ears. She worked meticulously, and quickly, before long he was bandaged and resting and she had stepped out of the office to visit Aoi-Sensei and class 3-S. "Students. I have come to inform you that your fellow classmate has not sustained injuries that would lead to his demise at this time. If any of you would care to have a visitation you may do so. At his current rate of healing he shall be better by the end of the day before dormitories are assigned to each of you." She bowed and exited as quickly as she had appeared.

*The picture is of Asahina-Sensei, not Aoi-Sensei

Marcus sat in his seat quietly berating himself for being too weak. he thought to go and check on the Kenta kid but wasn't sure what to say. After the nurse had taken him he drifted back to the classroom and did his best to avoid notice unless someone else got angry at him for being too weak to stop the creature.

He started helping to clean but decided he would feel better just going to see the boy. Avoiding notice of the one girl who had followed with a practice sword He slipped out of the room and made his way to the nurse's office. finding it was not all that hard and once he did he entered and very slowly approached the kid. Marcus was impressed with his strength pursuing the creature with those wounds must have been very difficult.

Difficult is something for those who have doubt in themselves

Another one of his master's gems. he decided to leave "Just checking to see if you were okay" He said to the boy and turned to leave but paused wanting to say more.

Simply relaxing in his chair, the latest arrival to a rather botched first day of school lounged in silence as Aoi-sensei spoke to those present. Leaning back so leisurely in the chair while his left ankle rested on top of the right gave off an accurate depiction of his current mood. Utter coldness toward the plight of others flowed from his frosty reception toward the news Aoi-sensei gave about the fate of their lesson. Even her threat of punishment appeared to go unheard. Icy eyes simply stared down at the desk as pale fingers drew invisible shapes on the desk for amusment's sake.

But when Asahina-Sensei visited the class to speak about Kenta's current state, his gaze lifted to take in the red head's rather attractive visage. The way her blood red hair framed an oval-esque face. . . and how that red ribbon did nothing but draw his keen attention toward such ample breasts. If he so wished those clothes could have frozen fragile enough to shatter into shards of cloth and leave her sensual curves exposed for all to see with their own eyes rather than their imaginations. Only an incubus might surpass the lustful look Yuki gave her in spite of such a quick exit. Did she even notice? Perhaps she had suddenly gained an admirer. Yet it seemed the second she left that the woman was forgotten completely.

Without seeming in too terrible of a rush, Yuki rose up from the desk and started to pick up some of the larger objects which had been broken in the battle. Only if someone had started before the arrival of Asahina-Sensei would they be first to start cleaning up the classroom. Perhaps Arikado was not such a terrible student after all.

Dutifully, Yukisa listened to the words of both women and formed a plan of action based around that. She would, of course, help first to clean up as she did not wish to draw any of the instructor's ire on the first day of classes. After she was finished cleaning, she decided, she would stop in to see if dear Asahina-sensei needed any help tending to the injured boy. It was, she decided, very relieving to hear that the boy was fine.

Indicating a desk broken by the monster's rampage, Yukisa raised her eyes to look from its broken pieces to Aoi-sensei's stern visage. The bits of broken desk could hardly fit into the trash and in a connected issue with cleaning up the room, the shattered shards of glass from the window could prove dangerous if placed directly into the trash. Not answering and pretending not to notice her silent query about the desk fragments, Aoi-sensei handed Yukisa a small cardboard box for her to put the glass into.

Picking her way carefully around the bits of glass broken by the exit to the grounds below, Yukisa began to delicately pick up some of the larger bits with her fingertips and drop them into the box one by one. She was lost in her own little dream world until she heard Aoi-sensei's voice to break her thoughts.

"Someone needs to get the broom and dustpan and help Hayau-san clean up the glass." Yukisa frowned up from her work to glance around the other students. She did not know them well and was not thrilled about them being ordered to help her.

Miyako, hearing the teacher's request, moved to assist with the glass. She grabbed the broom and dust pan and walked over. Silently, she began to sweep the smaller bits of glass in a pile as well as some of the large glass pieces. Once she had a decent pile, she swept the pile into the dustpan and dumped it in the box.

"I'm Miyako, by the way," she said without emotion.

The burning sensation in Iolanda's skin intensified as she was taken to the Nurse's office. The sterile white that covered the room calmed her down slightly, but did not distract from the searing pain that seemed to cover her entire body. Under the care of a nurse she soon fell asleep after an application of ointment and medication to fight the poison. Today so far had been pretty bad, but by the looks of it she would get to spend the rest of her day in a comfortable bed without having to deal with the awkwardness of getting to know so many people at once.

In fact, in spite of her pain, she slightly welcomed the moment away from others. She had been scared of meeting her other classmates because she knew none of them, and thus had no means of connecting herself: no means of trying to fit into a group of some sort. At least at home she had had her mother to give her advice, but now she had to go out and make friends on her own and for now she was able to escape the fear of doing so.

Ah... He could already hear Asahina-sensei yelling at him for hiding his injury. The scene playing out in his head was taken from a previous year, a previous injury, and Kaelyn wasn't in any rush to make that woman angry again. If he liked anyone at this school, it was Asahina-sensei. Most boys liked her because of her beauty, but Kaelyn admired her motherly attitude toward the students, even if she could be extremely strict at times.

I'd better go get this taken care of, he thought to himself. The paper towel stanching his headwound wasn't doing a very good job and he'd probably need stitches. "Merde..." he swore under his breath and forced his feet to take him out of the bathroom.

As always, he kept his gaze on the floor as he walked the hallways, although when he passed someone he could feel them staring curiously. How uncomfortable... He ended up jogging the rest of the way to the nurse's station. But of course since he wasn't watching where he was going, he ended up running right into another student just upon arriving. It felt, to Kaelyn, as if he'd struck a brick wall! He made a rather effeminate squeak of surprise as he bounced off the chest of 'the brick wall' and landed hard on his backside on the floor. After the initial shock and pain subsided, he glanced up to see just whom he'd collided with. Whatever color was still left in his face drained away at the sight of the student standing before him.

Though the boy could be called handsome and Kaelyn admired how dark his skin was, that six foot height alone was enough to terrify someone who was nearly half a foot shorter! And his build? Well... An image flashed before Kaelyn's eyes, one of that big, strong boy easily snapping his neck like a twig! He'd better apologize quickly!

"S-sorry," he whimpered timidly, hanging his head to hide his face out of embarrassment.

Arikado started helping out near Yukisa from the start through picking up the larger pieces of glass though his approach lacked the caution of the dutiful student. Unscathed by the bigger shards, that task ended without incident. Strangely enough no matter how roughly the pieces fell into the cardboard box not a single one shattered any further as though frozen.

When the young lady frowned a smile soft as freshly fallen powder briefly went Yukisa's way. After all there was no reason for that frown! So what if a dangerous creature had just attacked on the first day of school? From the way no one seemed to have a mental breakdown the Demon assumed this was a common occurrence. Especially from how dedicated Yukisa's demeanor appeared. Needless to say Yuki had no problem keeping his cool around the girl without chilling the entire room to the bone. Perhaps a conversation between them might have begun were it not for Miyako's arrival.

Rather than striking up a conversation right away, waiting for a little longer was decided upon instead. Silently the demon moved on to picking up chunks of broken desk around the classroom yet again. Each piece of desk was placed into the cardboard box until it could hold no more. Of course when someone else had an offering for the garbage he moved aside without a word.

More than anything he restrained the urge to cause immediate mischief. Temptation or the urge to tempt was an innate desire in some demons. For Yuki this showed itself in more of a whimsical vice than anything. Still there was something about his pranks which demanded timing. After all enough of a disaster had happened today to probably remove anyone's natural sense of humor.

No one needed to slip on a floor that still had bits of broken glass.

Cleaning was an odd way to start a day of class, but Ame wasn't complaining. She naturally wanted her surroundings to have a sense of order, the classroom was no different, and hopefully she wouldn't get another messy roommate this year. She stood and started picking up broken desk pieces and shattered glass. The glass pieces, she lifted and placed into the box without touching them, not trying to show-off or anything, she just didn't want to cut her hand.

She didn't pay much attention to the conversations around her as she cleaned until someone introduced themself. No one seemed to be responding yet though. Normally Ame would shrink away into the background, and thats what she really wanted to do. But, even if it was just a little, she wanted to try changing this year.

"I-... I'm Murasaki, Ame," she said, though not very loud and not even raising her gaze from the ground as she cleaned.

Kenta could hear his classmate's voice and he opened his eyes slowly, wincing from the dull, consistent pain in his side as he pulled himself up to see the rest of the nurse's office. "Oh, Makaasu-San, yeah, I'm, well, I've been a bit better." Kenta chuckled as he scratched the back of his head, wincing when he realized that was painful as well. Who knew that that demon would cause such a ruckus on his first day no less. Maybe he should've let the other more experienced students handle it...

Kenta was about to say something else but was cut off by Kaelyn bumping into him. "Are you okay?!" Kenta cried from where he was laying, tilting his head as much as he could to see without actually moving. He hoped that everyone that was here was just checking on him, hopefully that creature hadn't come back! Kenta quickly glanced around to find his katana by his side, securely placed back into it's sheath, masking it once again as a simple bokken, though his classmates probably knew better by now.

Back in the classroom Aoi-sensei was overlooking the students cleaning up with a small smirk of satisfaction. It was nice to have her students actually respond to her unlike some previous years. With a sigh she walked to the phone as it rang and picked it up. "Hello?...Yes sir...I understand...no I'll let the class know...yes sir." She nodded and hung up the phone, standing behind her desk and making sure the students were paying attention. "It appears that Ikawa-Sensei has decided to cancel all classes for 3-S which means we will be assigning you your dorms early. Since a few of the injured students are absent some of you might be placed with them so please respect their part of the dorms when you are assigned them. And as a note, Kenta has requested to room with a female for...let me see...it is listed for personal reasons. Therefore I am making an executive decision and Hayau-San you shall room with him. I hope this is not to your distaste but you are the only candidate I think likely to fit. As for the rest of you we shall go over the list when we get to the dormitories. Follow me and leave whatever cleaning you have for later." Aoi-Sensei picked up the clipboard she was reading from and tucked it under her arm before walking out of the room and heading down the hallway. The dorms were a bit of a walk on foot so she would have to take them to the second stop on the Kazeyama Train line. This has proved to be a long day already...

More people than expected had arrived to help her with the glass but before she could thank them for their help, the teacher had moved on to announcements already. It was fairly exciting to not have more class than this on the first day and Yukisa had been curious who her new roommate would be this year, since her things had been moved from her old room to the new one. This surprise was cut short, finding that she would be rooming with the boy who had been injured. This was not displeasing to her and in fact, she had decided in her quiet contemplation that he seemed an all right sort.

Assuming that she was assigned to the boy because of his injury and her skills, Yukisa did not bring the matter up. She was much happier with no one knowing that she could assess the state of their body with just a touch and with the people milling about her in a friendly way, she did not want to damage her chances of perhaps actually having friends this year. Last year, even Yukisa's roommate had been uncomfortable around her and had tried to avoid her as much as possible, cultivating her cutesy talent for speeding plant growth by making window boxes of violets and other flowers for her friends.

Nodding to Aoi-sensei, Yukisa had no argument to the matter, though with this decision, she figured that she ought to visit Kenta in Asahina-sensei's office before the day was out to more properly introduce herself. Realizing that she had slipped into personal thoughts again, Yukisa shook her head a little and turned to look for the students who had helped her.

Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, she turned to them and smiled as best she can, though it came out lukewarm at best, and addressed all who had aided in cleaning the glass. "Thank you for your help. I look forward to studying alongside you. I am Hayau Yukisa, but I'd like it very much if you would call me Yukisa-kun. I am going to the nurse after this to check on the injured student, since he will be my roommate. If you would like to come with me, I know my way around here well."

Yuki barely looked at Aoi-Sensei as she made those ever so life changing announcements. Instead the Demon hid behind the excuse of cleaning up the class to give her the cold shoulder. One might've wondered whether or not he was listening at all to what she said. Until the brief reason as to why Kenta had requested a female roommate. For that alone a soft, seemingly knowing chuckle escaped pale lips even though he did not know Kenta personally.

You could make requests? Well I guess I missed that train. . . Oh well, I suppose it'll be up to random chance now. After all I did sign up at the last minute. Which one of these humans will they stick me with? Doesn't really matter anyway. But on the other hand. . .

Mere seconds passed as he seemed to effortessly skate along the floor toward Yukisa. Apparently he was done making a good impression through feigned obedience. Both hands rested leisurely in the pockets of his white trenchcoat. One would think he would be left sweating from such attire but he looked perfectly fine. Now the Ice Demon stood merely a foot away from the girl, not hesitating to make direct eye contact. Lust did not pour out from those icy blue eyes this time however. . . merely the gaze of honest interest. But when he spoke no one could mistake his cool, detatched tone of voice for anything else as every word smoothly flowed out confidently.

"Yukisa-kun, I am Yuki Arikado. If you don't mind I think I'll tag along to meet your roomate. He should be congradulated for being so brave. . . not to mention surviving. "

A few days passed and life at Kazeyama seemed to be settling into something...daresay, normal. Classes continued on as normal yet one day a call went out for a small group of students by order of Principal Ikawa to meet after classes during the day nearby the old school building just outside the forest, all that was posted underneath the notice was a sole picture of the school back in it's glory days, a haunting reminder of the past.

OldSchoolJapan.jpg

Waiting at the meeting place the captain of the kendo team, second year Kenta Suzuki was waiting the others arrival with Asahina-Sensei, the faculty member appointed by Ikawa-sensei. As much as Kenta tried to get information from her she hadn't yet budged, keeping her icy demeanor and silence about what Ikawa-Sensei was sending the group into the now abandoned school.

Normal was good. Kaelyn could handle normal but unfortunately ever since the development of his powers, 'normal' had been a scarce word when describing his life. He was actually really happy as things at Kazeyama settled nicely, but he couldn't help feeling a little uneasy at times, expecting things to suddenly go crazy like they had on the first day of classes.

It was the same every year: first day of classes was always some kind of test. Though the young siren was still unsure about whether or not the events that transpired on that morning were part of the plan. It seemed like each year, the test grew more dangerous and Kaelyn feared a little for next year, not because he was a coward, because he definitely wasn't. It was because he feared he still wouldn't have control...

Speaking of which, from the very first day, Kaelyn had been sneaking out at night to practice his control. He couldn't exactly practice with anyone present, so his only choice was on his own when no one was around to get hurt. The result was bad; he was often tired in the morning, emotionally just as much as he was physically. Today was no different and in his sleepy state he almost completely missed the principal's notice.

Nodding to himself, wondering whom else would show up, Kaelyn headed for the appointed meeting place, headphones securely in their usual place over his ears. The distinct sound of a song called
'Nobody' filling his head, he mouthed the words as he made his way across the campus. Of course he kept his gaze on the ground, even though there were few students outside the school at this time, and though he had arrived at the old school building, it was a few seconds before he noticed anyone else was even there.

Make friends, he reminded himself, repeating his mother's words in his head. "M-morning," he mumbled shyly, cheeks a bit pink as he bowed politely, his gaze firmly attached to the patch of ground infront of his feet.

Following closely behind the icy Asahina-sensei, Yukisa was content to walk with her in silence until they arrived at the meeting place. There was something comforting to Yukisa about Asahina-sensei, something about the way she was comfortable in using Yukisa's powers as a tool instead of viewing them as something unnerving. For this, Yukisa was grateful and more than happy to utilize her time and energy as the nurse prescribed. It was, in fact, something that Yukisa took pride in, that the nurse had confidence in her abilities and often used her like she would some sort of portable X-Ray machine for scanning injuries.

Arriving at the preselected meeting area, Yukisa tried to stay behind Asahina-sensei as best she could, willing herself to be made invisible. It was only when she saw that Kenta was there that she moved to attempt to say hello, but before she had made it into sight, there was another boy approaching and Yukisa quickly tucked herself behind Asahina-sensei again, staring with watchful eyes at the two boys. The one who had just approached Kenta was offering a mumbled hello to him. Perhaps, Yukisa thought, Kenta won't want to be seen with me? I am his roommate after all, he did not choose to befriend me and it is possible I was foisted upon him. I've yet to ask...

Twiddling her thumbs together instead, Yukisa wondered if he would be happy to see her. She'd felt better just having someone around that she knew but it was possible that this blond, athletic boy was far more popular than she. Still, Kenta had smiled at her kindly when she'd gone and tended to his injuries in the infirmary. He'd even acted happy when she told him that she was assigned to be his roommate. With this in mind, confidence mildly bolstered, she stepped out from behind Asahina-sensei once more.

"Hello, Kenta-kun. It is nice to see you here. And hello, Mishiranu-san" Yukisa's lips twitched a little into a smile at her own joke, since she did not know the boy well. She was trying to be friendly, but there was a certain aloofness to the boy that warded Yukisa away into nearly hiding behind Kenta again.

Kotaro arrived outside the old school building, wondering just what was in store for him and his fellow students on this occasion. It had been a relatively normal couple of days since the attack on their first class meeting, and he had begun to settle into the routine here at Kazeyama. Surprisingly, it was starting to seem like a reasonably normal school for the most part. His class schedule and homework was turning out to be manageable so far, and his teachers were likeable for the most part. Aoi-sensei was probably his favorite. She handled her classes well and seemed to be a very capable teacher. Kotaro felt a little sorry for her after seeing her get knocked out on the first day, and that might have been part of the reason he viewed he a little more favorably. It was nice to know the staff were in the same boat with the students when terrible things went down.

As he walked up to the building at the edge of the forest, Kotaro noticed there weren't many other students there already. He saw Kenta and Yukisa, greeting them with a little wave of his hand. Standing with them was Asahina-sensei. When it came to her, he wasn't exactly sure how to feel. It was a little unsettling how she seemed to take every strange occurence in stride and then try to distract everyone from them. That coupled with her aloofness made her a mystery to him, and he wasn't sure just what her plans for them today might entail.

Looking over at the old school building, Kotaro found it hard to imagine how such a place had ever functioned as a school. The building seemed far to small to hold a student body of even moderate size, much less the number of students he had seen in the picture attached to the notice. Then again, if Kazeyama was anything like it was today back in its earlier years, many of them might not have survived to graduate. The old school looked like it had seen its share of damage over the years. Several of the windows were broken and smudged with a covering of what appeared to be either ash or a thick layer of dust. What's more, the entire buildiing appeared dilapidated and worn-out, as if it had been abandoned to shoulder the burden of all those past years alone. The place seemed to radiate a sense of weariness and grief, the front edifice staring out bleakly against the backdrop of the dense, dark woods.

Supressing a sudden urge to shiver, Kotaro instead looked over at the other students who had gathered there and chuckled nervously.

"Hard to think what it would've been like to go to school here back in those days, isn't it?"

The quiet days had been nice and simple, even headache free. So when the class was suddenly to meet at the old Kazeyama school grounds, Ame found it a bit odd. Then again, the odd was normal around here. But just what could they learn from an old school they've long since stopped using. Nevertheless, she went to the meeting place, waiting not far away from the small group that had already arrived. It was a little windy, making her long hair dance around her. If she wasn't so obviously wearing the current school uniform, one might think she was some kind of ghost.

She appeared more nervous than usual, looking up at the old school building. It looked just like the kind of creepy place that would house deadly spirits and monsters like in those horror films, and that thought... was terrifying. Did they... really have to go in? Maybe their lesson would be held outside or something.
