Personally, I'm for letting Grumps take at least some of the loot. In the interest that a well-equipped party is a better functioning party.
 
By the way, Tegan and I are on vacation this weekend and the next, so consider this a pause between seasons.

Let's take the time to re-evaluate the quest and the format we've been following. Is there anything you think needs improving (except my furious intolerance for disruptive spellcasters - we're keeping that)? Is the timing/pacing/party size to your liking? Is the loot enough? The XP awards high enough? Does the teamwork or lack of it infuriate you? Did I make the plot too confusing? I've got season 2 out of the way now, so there's nothing I'm jealously guarding anymore.


Season 3 will involve us hiding out in the Drow City of the Underdark. Queen Nendra has opened the Cerberax Gate and is commencing a foray into the King's Highway (a stable corridor of the infernal plane which the Demon King used to move between the outer courtyards). She wants power. But Lady Nendra wants the expansion to stop, and is willing to shelter us. The Drow City will be our new base of operations, and Nendra will provide disguise magics whenever we need to shop/gather information.

Torrim has become Lawful Evil. He is out purely for the interests of the Guild now, and doesn't care who he has to step on to make us a force to be reckoned with. Added to Lorn's hellspawn baby and Sayles's quest to prove his blood relation to the Demon King, we'll be taking a dark turn in Season 3.
 
I was about to say "Can we put Asmo's corruption porn on the shelf for a chapter and let things improve/have some time to patch our alignments a bit, the 'Guild gets manipulated into failing even when we succeed' is wearing a little thin as a plot device", bit I guess that's a bit of a wash from that announcement.

Well, at least Sarenrae's the goddess of redemption, giving me a pass when it comes to the "no associating with evil" part of the code as long as I deem them fixable.

I may even shelf Lorn for a bit (maternity leave, yo) since a good bit of this is her fault. You know, just to cut the moral dilemma's by half.

Otherwise, she's going to have to carry a baby around on her back through dungeons under a constant Silence spell, because no way in shit is she hiring a Drow babysitter.
 
Well, no one's gonna be manipulating us this time. That whole Drow Queen conspiracy for Seasons 1 & 2 was exhausting. I may just focus on interesting planar stuff and how you make allies and enemies amongst the factions on the King's Highway. I think as a party gets higher levelled, they generate their own intrigue without having to be pawns to someone else's.


I'll ease off on the Jack Bauer dilemmas this time round.
 
So what does this mean for my buddy who was interested to play? =D

At the time, he mentioned an Elven archer (possibly CG?) that focused on a build that centered around damage with a bow and some form of crowd control. He made an account with Iwaku, just for this campaign. If you like, I can have him message you or have him post here and introduce himself.
 
Yeah, have him degrade himself in public here for our judgment.

When he does, tell meeee:
Elf Archer as in "I am an elf of the fighter/barbarian/rogue/paladin/ranger class with feats and class abilities tipped towards pew-pewing"...

Or Elf Archer as in Elf with the Elven Archer third-party class?

Frost, his first character was an elven ranger so he might stick with it, but who knows. =D

also. hello everyone! my buddy told me about your guys' D and D group and I was interested for sure. I am a total noob, but Skyrim has begun to bore me and I would love something else to immerse myself into!

I like to think i'm pretty chill...I cerulean agrees lol
 
and i'm always down to be publicly degraded. sounds like fun usually, cerulean and asmodeus. And i realize I can't really defend myself yet cause I don't know any of you. Nor did I realize I can scroll through this conversation....god i'm such a noob at this.

So anyways, what kind of character did you have in mind or did I pretty much cover it?
 
and @ boss frost, I am geared more towards the PEW PEWWWW kinda elf archer.

Anyway, my name is Elmadeil Sharpeye, and I'm an elven archer. Last time I played I was a stand-off ranged character kinda, and if you have a need for that it fits me better than a hack and slash barbarian or orc (no offense meant to the hack and slash types!). Honestly I am willing to play how i am needed, if I am allowed to play, but I have a lot to learn about the game and styles and such.
