- I really like modern roleplays, especially hings involving romance and family. I also love fantasy, especially anything involving magic, mythical creatures, or gods and goddesses. Fandoms are nice, if I can play an OC. Since history is one of my passions, I like doing historical roleplays, mostly renaissance, 1800's, early 1900's, ancient civilizations, and anything wild west-like or based on pioneers. I do like Sci-Fi, mostly dystopian with some sort of rebellion or strict customs, something like that. I also like roleplays that take place in space if they have a good explanation of the universe that it takes place in. I'm not a big fan of horror or mystery, unless the horror is a sub-element to something else.
If you are looking for a typical high school roleplay, turn away now...
You knew a long time ago that you were different from the other kids around and not in a magical way. This is not Harry Potter. This isn't X-Men. And you know that, you are human, only... More talented... More unique... There are people that would use you for your their own gain. You never know who you can trust. You've never told anyone about what you are capable of.
But those at Iriswalk know...
And they will not hesitate to throw you to the dogs...
Perhaps you are a master hacker or unusually athletic. Maybe you can pickpocket any person or you can remember everything you've ever seen. Whatever the case, you are more gifted than most humans and Iriswalk wants your abilities no matter how mundane they may seem. Of course, on the surface, Iriswalk seems like a safe haven, a place for these talented individuals to come together and actually show what they're capable of.
That's just on the surface though. Iriswalk is like any other organization, ready to step on others to achieve their own goals. And what might those goals be? No one really knows for sure, but Iriswalk is most definitely planning something... And no one seems to really care...
The Basics of Iriswalk Academy
Everyone here at Iriswalk is unique and come from all walks of life and from all over the world. However, very few are aware of Iriswalk's existence. It is a privately owned school and those that know about it, but do not attend simply think it's nothing more than an ordinary boarding school. All of the teachers are previous students and all of the students are under a vow of secrecy not to discuss beyond their immediate family.
Circles
Each student at Iriswalk is put into a Circle on their first day of school based on their specific talents. For example, someone that is able to hear for long distances might be put in a Circle with a hunter or a person with a talent for understanding languages. On the other hand, that same person with powerful hearing would never be teamed up with someone able to read lips. It is simple based on the needs of each individual. However, personalities are not taken into account and there is no way to change your Circle after it has been established.
Each Circle consists of four students and those in a Circle room together regardless of gender. Circles are known for becoming close friends and rarely speaking with those outside of their Circle. Of course, this is not true for all people in a Circle. However, even if someone hates everyone in their Circle, that person knows he/she can go to his/her Circle for anything. Betrayal within a Circle leads to Expulsion.
Detention and Expulsion
Unlike most schools, suspension does not exist in Iriswalk. For punishment, teachers are allowed to issue detention, which can last from a stern talking to after class to a week of after school cleaning. However, detention is not fun by any means and if you receive detention, you have your entire Circle's Privileges revoked for the remainder of the week.
The more extreme measure is Expulsion. Yes, with a capital 'E'. Expulsion happen very rarely. Despite the sixteen thousand or so students in Iriswalk, it is rare to get even a single Expulsion throughout the course of a two semester year. Those that are Expelled have two hours to pack their bags and then they are never heard from again, which seems like a pretty good reason to not Expelled.
Privileges
Privileges are exactly what they sound like. They can range from using the school's internet to checking out books from the library. Specific Privileges can be revoked or the entirety of all Privileges can be revoked. If one person in a Circle has a Privilege revoked, the entire Circle also has theirs taken away as well. The highest known Privilege is being able to travel to the nearby city of Niken during the weekend. There are other privileges that not many people know about as well, but no one has earned that much trust.

Rules
~ No godmodding, etc... Every character should have their weaknesses as well as their strengths.
~Keep in mind that this is not a fantasy roleplay nor is it a sci-fi roleplay. All talents must be humanly attainable. No supernatural abilities or anything akin to that. If you approach me with a talent like that, I will immediately turn you away. I repeat, this is NOT a fantasy or sci-fi roleplay.
~ Every character has an important role, so don't worry about your character not being important.
~ If the roles are filled, PM me and I may open up a role for you.
~Loners are allowed in this roleplay, but it will be very difficult for them to adjust. Circles practically force you to interact with other students. And it is almost unheard of for a member of a Circle to walk away from their group. It is also considered an act of betrayal to do so and all betrayals lead to Expulsion. If a member of a Circle is expelled, they are immediately replaced with a new recruit.
~ Please be literate. Cussing is allowed, but don't put "fuck" in every sentence unless the person is blatantly angry. It's very annoying.
~You can have as many characters as you want if you can keep track of them and post for all of them as much as possible. No one is allowed to have two characters in the same Circle though. Siblings are allowed, but I don't want too many of them.
~ Romance is encouraged, but it should not be the focal point for all relationships.
~ Originality is very much appreciated.
~Please, PM me if you have a question.
~ Do not physically maim another person's character without their permission.
~ Please note that I reserve the right to reject any character I feel is not up to standard.
