Invasion: The Aftermath

Emory chuckled softly, smiling contentedly at Clarence. "Good." He said after a moment, relaxing back into his chair. He glanced at Matt, thinking.

Clarence followed Emory's gaze to Matt, who was still laying on the ground, his chest rising and falling slowly. Clarence bit his lip. "...We should probably move him to the bed...or the couch..." He said quietly. He still didn't really like Matt, but he felt bad for creating his wounds...even if it wasn't really him.

Emory looked at Clarence. "I guess? I can put him on the couch." Emory said softly.

Clarence nodded. "Careful...'cause of his...wounds..." He said quietly, glancing back over at Matt.

Emory nodded, gently letting go of Clarence's hand. "I will." He said softly, going over to Matt. He knelt down, checking to see if he was awake.

Clarence watched Emory for a few moments, then shifted his gaze elsewhere, starting to daydream about things that would make him happy...most including Emory.
~
Matt mumbled in his sleep, turning his head a bit. He tried to shift his body, but released a small, pained squeak when he moved in even the slightest, his eyebrows twitching as well, and instead just stayed in his current position.

Emory sighed. Gently sliding a hand under his knees and another under his back, he lifted Matt, slowly carrying him to the couch. He glanced at Clarence, then back to the couch.

Matt squeaked a bit again as a twinge of pain shot through his body, but he didn't wake up, just twitched a little.
~
Clarence glanced over at Emory, and suddenly, seeing Matt in Emory's arms, even if Emory was just moving him to the couch, he felt a bit of jealousy. Wait, he was actually getting...jealous? Clarence shook his head and sighed, then looked away and continued his daydreams.

Emory gently set Matt on the couch before returning to his seat. He stretched, yawning a little.

Clarence stayed quiet for awhile, seemingly spacing out. "...Beach or forest?" He asked, keeping his gaze straight ahead.

Emory tilted his head, unsure what Clarence was asking. "Huh?" He asked softly.

Clarence looked over at Emory, an eyebrow raised. "Beach...or forest?" He asked again. "Which one do you prefer?"

"Nowadays the forest.. It's quiet and peaceful. Beach is too hot." Emory shrugged.

Clarence smiled. "I like the forest, too." He returned his gaze elsewhere. "...Cabin in the forest it is..." He whispered to himself, returning to his daydream.

Emory chuckled to himself.
"Alrighty." He watched Clarence with a soft smile.

Clarence slowly closed his eyes, a soft smile on his face as he began to imagine him and Emory living in a small cabin in a very beautiful, but quiet forest. It was nice...and he only wished it were real.

While Emory watched Clarence's expressions, he began going through a mental checklist of what they would do in the morning. Check on Matt and Clarence's wounds, pack for the trip, secure the building all early in the morning. Then once it was light enough, head off to town, get a dog and maybe some supplies, head back home. Yes.. He hoped it went that smoothly. He yawned, feeling tired suddenly.

Clarence kept quiet for quite awhile, his eyes closed. Though, after about ten minutes, Clarence's small smile began to fade, and his head slowly hung. He had fallen asleep.

Emory stretched, standing. He was ready for bed. Looking at Clarence, he smiled. Emory thought he looked so cute when he was asleep. It made him smile. Stepping over, Emory gently picked Clarence up, holding him close.

Clarence's eyes opened a bit when he felt Emory lifting him, and he turned his head to look up at Emory. He slowly wrapped his arms around Emory's neck and softly kissed him, then rested his head against his shoulder and let his eyes close again.
