"There's no sense in it, why keep fighting when we know we'll die anyway? I want to see my family again." Nataniel yanked out the pin, "I'm coming Crystal!" He yelled as the spoon clattered to the ground. The two stood in silence for a moment. As Nataniel began to ask whether the grenade could have been a dud, there was a great flash of light rapidly accompanied by a great force of heat. There was nothingness. The room settled and revealed a chaotic scene made of blood, flesh, and all things in between. Most of Nathaniel's body rested lifeless next to Spike's unmoving meatsack, his only possession resting beneath the remains of a cot.
