It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas
by Nemopedia [spoili]

Inspiration used: Emrys Jernigan, Joan Lambert (FieryCold) & Asher Fay (darkflames13)

Christmas songs and ornaments had long lost their meaning, with shops stalling out their Christmas goods as early as October, and the Christmas specials even earlier. Another commercialised holiday, that was all it was in Emrys's mind. Spoiling the mood long before it was even supposed to settle in.

However, despite all of the cynicism he held within, he did always look forward to the Christmas holidays. It wasn't the decoration, or the songs that made him eager to wait for Christmas. Nor were it the specials, or the presents that he wished for. The feeling of Christmas nearing wasn't hot chocolate, or the sound of bells, or the smell of candles. To the boy there was one thing that defined Christmas to him.

Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans, nicely packed with a bow, gifted to his dear friend Joan. Every year, without a fail, Emrys would acquire the sweets together with Asher, pack them and hand them to the girl. Every year, without a fail, curses and punches were thrown at them.

And they would all laugh, and laugh, and laugh.[/spoili]

Wrapped With a Bow
by Nemopedia [spoili]

Inspiration used: Garaile Scriven & Anice Runeswell (VocaStar)

Nervously the prefect wrung her hands in her skirt, a blush heavily donning her face as Garaile continued to laugh. He was having an absolute blast at what she had just told him, resulting in the Slytherin being unable to keep his posture.

"You," he started as he finally took a breath, but the pause didn't last as he broke out in laughter again, annoying the girl. He didn't care, however, as he continued to laugh maniacally. "You," he could almost piss himself at the hilarity of the situation.

Anice Runeswell, little prefect girl from Slytherin, had just asked him, Garaile Scriven, scumbag number 1, to be her Christmas date.

"And you showed them that picture?" he wiped his tears dramatically. The girl grew even redder, as she nodded, embarrassment running high, and her pride shattered. It served her right for kissing him with Halloween. He wrote about scandals, he wasn't part of it, and he had been thinking for a long while on how to get back at the her.

Now he finally had it. Presented to him on a silver plate, wrapped with a bow on top. Anice Runeswell had outdone herself.

"And you told them I'm your Indo-South African pureblood boyfriend?" he still couldn't believe his ears, even if he said it himself. How did her parents even fall for the lie? It was absolutely ridiculous, but oh so delicious.

The girl nodded again, her face almost exploding with how red it was. Garaile couldn't contain himself.

"And now they want to meet me!" he cackled, hardly keeping himself in his seat. He could see that Anice was about to smack him, but decided against it. She needed his favour after all, no matter how much it humiliated her, and that alone was enough for Garaile.

Christmas was promising this year.[/spoili]

Frost
by Nemopedia [spoili]

Inspiration used: Emrys + friends, from the first prompt.

Emrys barely held on as he stepped outside. It had been freezing in the night, and the morning frost was treacherous. Looking around to see if anyone had seen him stumble the mute tried to play it off cool. Joan certainly would have a blast knowing that he almost fell, but she wasn't around, luckily.

"Morning, Emrys!" the peace and quiet was suddenly broken by said friend, followed by Asher who moved a lot more cautiously. Wise, as they were about to reach the same intersection Emrys almost slipped at. Lifting his arm he was about to warn Joan, but the girl mistook it for a wave.

Incident in three, two, one...

"Come on slowpo--ooaaah!" and there his friend went. Emrys just lowered his head into his hand, as a string of curses went towards fate, and winter. He probably shouldn't mention that he tried to warn her.[/spoili]

Mistletoe
by Nemopedia [spoili]

Inspiration used: Garaile Scriven

Garaile once had the unfortunate luck to stand under a mistletoe with his grandmother. He loved the woman, she had after all devoted her time to caring for him when his parents decided to avoid each other permanently. However, there was just something about the thought of having to kiss your grandmother.

And let grandmother Scriven be the sort of woman who absolutely loved to shame her grandson.

"Garaile, here," she said, pointing at her puckered lips.

Disgust grew over his face as Garaile looked away. "Grandma, please," he begged, laughing to himself in discomfort. "You already convinced me to wear the sweater," he tried to reason with her, but she wouldn't be budged.

"And now I want a kiss from my only grandson," she giggled, and the boy felt himself dying a little inside.[/spoili]

The Grinch
by Nemopedia [spoili]

Inspiration used: Kid!Emrys Jernigan

Emrys didn't hate Chrismas. Not really, but he didn't like it either. So, when his school organised a costume party the eight years old dressed himself as the only creature he could identify with surrounding the holidays.

The Grinch.

"Emrys, why the Grinch?" his teacher asked him, a little amused at his choice. The boy turned towards the woman, face deadpan.

"The Grinch is my soul animal," he answered, earning a snicker from the adult.

"Are you planning on stealing Christmas?" she teased, but Emrys gave her a blank stare, thinking for a moment before staring at the rest of his classmates. "Don't steal their presents, Emrys," the adult continued, a smile still playing around her lips. The boy was a strange one, but never malicious.

"No," Emrys replied relieving her from one worry. However, he soon added a much bigger concern. "That wouldn't ruin Christmas," he mused, an idea brewing and his face lit up.

"I will tell them that Santa doesn't exist."[/spoili]

Red
by Nemopedia [spoili]

Inspiration used: Melinda Geralds & Alistair Blackbourne (FieryCold)

Melinda used to love the colour red. It was warm, and it was romantic. It could be so many things. It also represented Christmas, and that made it her favourite holiday.

However, the twelfth winter of her life was when that all changed.

Her stomach had been hurting the whole day. For some inexplicable reason it was cramping and hurting for no reason. Her friends blamed the cold for it, and told her to stay inside, but the girl couldn't be bothered. It was snowing, and she had to go out.

"How long until Zed comes out?" Melinda whined to the twin Alistair. The three of them had agreed to meet up in the courtyard, to hang, and to hopefully beg Ali in helping them with their studies.

Alistair shrugged his shoulders, undisturbed by the cold. Melinda in the meanwhile felt like the stone underneath her was stabbing her. The pain growing a little worse until she felt something warm.

"I'm getting sick waiting outside," she exclaimed, jumping down her seat. A choice she came to regret immediately. Another flash of pain brought the Gryffindor to the ground, a groan escaping her as she clutch onto her stomach. "Can we please go inside?" she turned to her friend, who was staring at her with wide eyes.

"Uhm, I think you to see the nurse," he calmly informed her, but Melinda could tell he was distressed about something.

Rolling her eyes the girl waved away his concerns. "It is just the cold," she said, but the boy shook his head, slowly pointing at the red underneath her.

"I don't think that is the cold," he countered in a small voice, face paler than ever before.[/spoili]

The Perfect Tree
by Nemopedia [spoili]

Inspiration used: Emrys Jernigan

"A small one," Emrys said as they strolled down the lines of trees. His mother gave a disapproving look, shaking her head.

"No, a big one, I want a proper tree in the living room," she determined, eyes going down the price tags attached to the trees. The boy could already tell that she was adjusting the budget in her mind, wondering what more they could cut to afford the holidays.

"What does it matter?" the boy exclaimed, getting a little annoyed at how adamant his mother was on getting the biggest tree they could afford. "Can't we use the fake one?" He knew that they had received a little extra this year, which is why his mother was so intent on using that on giving them a proper 'experience', but was the tree really that important?

"Yes, the perfect tree is needed for the perfect christmas," his mother responded, checking out the branches of one of the trees for any blemishes. Maybe she could haggle something...[/spoili]

Reindeers
by Nemopedia [spoili]

Inspiration used: Melinda Geralds

With a disapproving look the girl stared at whatever they had done to the school brooms. The top had a red ball attached to it, while short branches stuck out next. It wasn't too obstructing, and wouldn't hinder the flying, but that wasn't what Melinda was so displeased about.

"And this is?" she narrowed her eyes at the team captain, who shrugged his shoulders.

"Christmas decoration," was his simple explanation and the Gryffindor rolled her eyes. She could see that it was done in the spirit of the Christmas holiday.

"But what is it?" she continued, impatiently. The pureblood knew little of the muggle customs, nor had she any appetite in finding out about them. However, today there was no way she could get around them. Not when they had attacked her broom into whatever atrocity this was supposed to be.

"Rudolph, the rednosed reindeer!" the captain responded, missing the confusion that Melinda held.

Another sigh escaped the pureblood. Too annoyed to ask further.[/spoili]

Ugly Sweaters
by Nemopedia [spoili]

Inspiration used: Garaile Scriven & Felix Sloan (FieryCold)

In his first year it was Rudolph, complete with a red ball on the sweater serving as its nose. The thing was hideous, but Garaile wore it with pride. He enjoyed the look of horror from his classmates when they saw him in it.

In his second year the Slytherin vowed that he would outdo himself with each year in the department of hideous sweaters. For the first time he made requests to his grandmother on what she could possibly do to knit the worst Christmas sweater she could manage.

The best year was when he wore the neon pink sweater that was fluffier than his pygmy puff. The fear written on the face of his victims, along with their confusion at the bright colour delighted him. No one was sure whether to laugh, or to cry when the blond came into sight.

This year was the absolute best. Having figured out a way to enchant the colours in such a way that they would flash and light up like a christmas tree Garaile was like a walking neon sign.

"Good moooooooorning, Felix!" Garaile was quick to terrorise the fashionista. He could almost hear the 'Giiiirl' escape his housemate's lips, as soon as the poor thing turned around.[/spoili]

Unreasonably Warm
by Nemopedia [spoili]

Inspiration used: August Yilmaz

With Christmas there was supposed to be snow, warm sweaters, hot choco, and all the other warm and cosy activities that fit the dull and cold weather.

However, never would August have thought that he would hear the birds singing and see the flowers blooming when Christmas rolled around.

"No," he exclaimed in chagrin, displeased at how spring-like the weather was. While the boy didn't like the cold he did like his Christmas in a certain way.

That year August Yilmaz (aged six) promptly stepped back into his bed on Christmas morning, spending his day pouting over the Christmas he lost to global warming.[/spoili]

leafes_divider_by_gewalgon-d55jolb.png

Biography:

Korrigans were always thought to be a myth, a silly little play on a Siren dwarf monster who was ugly during the day, and beautiful at night. A joke in the eyes of most magical families. There were those who did believe. Those who sought out the beast if only to get a glimpse of fiction with their own eyes. One such Wizard was Eldrich Ravenwood, a seemingly unadventurous, and uninteresting wizard with nothing to his name, and nothing else going for him. He'd wanted to prove that the Korrigan was in fact real...then perhaps he would gain fame, and fortune.

He searched for years, endlessly scouting out the marshes, and lakes of Brittany for the fictional creature who he so believed was real. But he was slowly losing faith in the entire expedition. Slowly losing faith in the reality of Korrigan kind. It was on one clear, moonlit night that he was visited by the most beautiful, platinum haired woman. Her skin was white as snow, eyes red, and glowing. She had tasteful, plump lips, and subte curve about her silk draped body. She reminded him of an angel. A beautiful gift sent to help him on his journey. He couldnt help but to instantly fall in love. He'd do anything for this woman. Anything at all.

Silly little things humans were. Gullible in every way. Tiriel stood there at the bank of the river, red eyes gazing at her reflection. A reflection of wrinkled, grey skin, and seaweed hair. Too bad her reflection showed her true self, and not the illusion the moon cast over her. She was ripe, and mating season was abroad, but no worthy males had come this way. None at all in fact, none except for a curious, wayward traveler in search of something. In search of her. He was average in looks, and pitiful when it came to wit, but he was the only one who came, and so he would have to do.

She stood from the bank of the river, and danced through the trees, voice calling out to him, singing to him with such allure that he had immediately fallen for her Korrigan charm. She knew he saw long, luscious , platinum hair, and beauty beyond compare. What a fool, as all males were, he stepped toward her outstretched arms, and embraced her body with them. She cradled his head against her bosom, and cooed her song until he was nothing more than her plaything.

And then the mating commenced.

Her name was Oswin. Oswin Amara Ravenwood, the pretty little half breed daughter of Eldrich Ravenwood, and a mystery creature that no one had ever known. She was brought to him by a beautiful woman with long, near white hair, the woman stating that this was their daughter, and left with him. The woman was never seen again. The baby, born from a seaweed cocoon. Birthed from the bottom of a lake. She grew rather quickly, having the looks of her mother, and the magical abilities of her father.

Oswin never had many friends growing up mainly because most who lived around her were Pure-Blood families. Pure-Blood who did not wish for their children to play with the outcast Half-Breed. It would be a shame to have their children's minds tainted by the influence of a siren child. So Oswin became a bit of a hermit. She stayed to herself, and had time to reflect on her life, and what she was. What she came to hate. The beautiful little girl turned into a spiteful young woman who hated her father, yearned for her mother, and disliked herself to bits. She pushed everyone away because she knew that with her Korrigan charms, and her need to feed once a month on the fear of males in particular, she would never have friends. She was protecting them, right? Of course she was.

She built her walls, and she built her image around her hatred for hurting others, her hatred for her father for making her what she was, and her hatred for her mother never being around to help her control her needs. She was 11 when she recieved her letter to Hogwarts. The owl flew right into her bedroom window, and dropped the letter right on the book she was reading. It was a peculiar little thing, and because she didnt know what it was, and was weary on opening it, she took it to her father who was estatic. She would be going to the school for Witches, and Wizards to learn magic, and how to further control her abilities. It was the first amount of good news she'd had in what seemed like years.

Patronus:
Oswin doesnt have a Patronus. She cannot cast one at all mainly because she has no positive emotions strong enough to help fuel it. It is not Non-corporeal...it is simply nonexistent.
If she were to have a Patronus, it would take the form of an Armadillo.

Boggart:
Ironically enough, Oswin's biggest fear is a Korrigan form of herself. She's developed this fear mainly because of what she has had to live with her entire life. She's read up on Korrigans many times, and has found them to be terrifying creatures who feed on helpless males. Hideous creatures who hide behind masks of beauty during the night, but show their true selves in the light. Her Boggart will take the form of herself with the most vile, and evil grin on it's lips. It's skin will then melt away to reveal the terrifying creature that is a Korrigan with is grotesque wrinkled, grey skin, pointed teeth, and seaweed hair.

Pet:
Oswin has no pets, but she finds the company of animals to be more tolerable than that of human beings.

leafes_divider_by_gewalgon-d55jolb.png

Wand:

Wood: Larch
Core: Banshee Hair
Length: 12"

Wood Lore:
Strong, durable and warm in colour, larch has long been valued as an attractive and powerful wand wood. Its reputation for instilling courage and confidence in the user has ensured that demand has always outstripped supply. This much sought-after wand is, however, hard to please in the matter of ideal owners, and trickier to handle than many imagine.

The celebrated wandmaker Garrick Ollivander found that larch always created wands of hidden talents and unexpected effects, which likewise describes the master who deserves it. It is often the case that the witch or wizardwho belongs to the larch wand may never realise the full extent of their considerable talents until paired with it, but that they will then make an exceptional match.

Core Lore:
Banshees are dangerous creatures with screams that will kill. However, if one is brave or stupid enough to go after a Banshee and manages to acquire its hair, it can be made into a relatively fierce wand core. It promotes the darker aspect of magic, specifically curses. It fails altogether when used in any sort of healing.

leafes_divider_by_gewalgon-d55jolb.png

Other:

Feeding - Oswin's feeding habits are just a tad bit different. She can eat human food, but in order to survive, and live a healthy life, she must also feed from males in this way:
Using Siren like charms, Oswin will woo a man into submission so that he will not struggle during the feeding process. What happens is, once a male is under the charm's influence, Oswin force's their worst fears upon them. She then feeds from their fear via a kiss. It is not lethal, or fatal, but it will leave the victim mentally scarred for a long while. She only feeds once a month.

leafes_divider_by_gewalgon-d55jolb.png

Appearance:
Oswin is an odd little thing. She stands at roughly 4'10", and has rather long, pointed ears much like an elf's. These are due to her mother's Korrigan blood though. She has long, platinum blood hair and deep, wine colored eyes. Her skin is a milky white color, but oddly enough, on her right cheek, there is a grey marking that looks much like a tree branch. A rather unsightly imperfection.

Note: This is only how she looks during the daytime. During the night, her appearance changes ever so slightly. Her platinum hair turns silver, and her deep, wine colored eyes change to a uncomfortably bright, crimson. Her skin becomes void of any imperfections, and her skin is nearly porcelain in color. During the evening, she looks almost ethereal, and otherworldly.

Her clothing choices consist of frilly dresses in dark colors such as emerald greens, and royal purples, but rarely ever pure black. She never ties her hair up unless she is reading.

Gryffindor // Sixth Year

Species:

Blood Status:
Muggle Born

Biography:

The First Son:
The eldest of 5 sons was born April 20th, 2007 on a hot, and humid night where dust, and sand blew about his home as his mother pushed desperately to give life to the long awaited child. Jabari Abdalla Asim, from that point on, would lead a life full of expectations, religion, and social standing. The Asim family were not poor, nor were they rich, a simple middle class household with average income, and little to no privilege in life. He grew quickly into a fine young man, practicing his religion with the patriarch of his household, and the younger siblings who emerged shortly after himself. His father had the thought in his mind that if he did not bare from his wife enough sons to carry on the family name, and wealth, he would die a meaningless death, and Anubis would not see him fit to pass onto the world beyond life.

Being the first son in his family, Jabari was raised strictly, and had many things expected of him. A strong understanding of the family customs, an unwavering faith in his religion, to marry a fitting bride worthy of the Asim name. But Jabari was growing up, and realizing that he had his own mind, and his own thoughts. It was dangerous to go against his father's word, but he did so many times. He had made many friends within the Serf class in his village, but was sure to keep them a secret from his father...from his family. It was his means of rebellion.

At the age of 10, Asim had become close friends with a young Serf girl named Amunet. She was tiny, timid, and so painfully kind. He'd felt the need to keep her close, to protect her...to hold her. And so it was then that he would see fit to always remain by her side. The poor girl who needed a man's protection, so he liked to think. It wasnt long before he had fallen for the girl, and she had fallen for him. Unfortunately, they would never be allowed together as she was of lower social standing.

(Puppy love d'awww)

It angered him greatly, and caused the young boy to obtain a fierce dominance over her. She'd dubbed him "The Flower's Protector" but that was all they could be.

Awakening:
The fact that he couldnt be with his beloved Amunet had always awakened a beast within him. Everytime his father would bring up "The silly poor girl" in any conversation would always lead to an outbreak of fierce words, and odd happenings around the home such as floating chinaware from his son. It was one night when his father had made such a vulgar comment about Amunet that things within their home burst, and objects floated with no reason around his glaring son. It was this overflow of power that alerted his family of their son's "divine gift".

They used his gift as a way of making money, and bringing forth women from the richer classes to show interest in Jabari, and take his hand in marriage. Yet, he could not always conjure up the will, or power to do anything. As a matter of fact, he almost never could as he didnt much know how to use his magic. Unfortunately for the Asim family, their actions caught the attention of the Ministry of Magic. A Wizard was sent to erase the memories of all things magical from the mundane's minds, and gave a strict explanation to the family that no human outside of the family were to know of Jabari's magical abilities.

A Brand New World:
He had been given the option to go to the Wizarding school in Egypt, but his parents had other plans. He'd go to England, to Hogwarts, mainly because of the information given. It wasnt long after the appearance of his powers that he had gained letters from Hogwarts. His father had immediately agreed to allow his son the privilege to attend the school, and hon his abilities. "You will learn to use your gift, and when you return home, you will carry this family to greatness." Jabari knew; however, that he would not be able to fulfill his father's wishes. He remembered the Ministry's words, and would not go against them for his father's greed. And so Jabari packed the belongings he had, and ventured forth to this magnificent school of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Relationships:

~PM Me if you'd like to establish a relationship with Jabari~

Patronus:
Non-Corporeal. Jabari is likely unable to cast a Patronus charm in the first place. Given he has never tried, and so he wouldn't much know.

Boggart:
Anubis.
Anubis is depicted as a jackal headed god who escorted the dead to the afterlife. Not necessarily a frightening Egyptian god. Jabari; however, depicts Anubis as an omen of death, and fears that should he ever truly see Anubis, his own end will surely follow.

Pet:
A silver Egyptian Mau named Bastet. The cat has been in his family for as long as he can remember, but she had always taken a liking towards him in particular. The feline is proud, and stubborn all at the same time, and tends to do her own thing, and mind her own when it comes to Jabari, and his doings.

Wand:

Wand Wood: Hornbeam
Wand Core: Dragon Heartstring
Length: 10"
Flexibility: Quite Rigid

Wood Lore:
Hornbeam selects for its life mate the talented witch or wizard with a single, pure passion, which some might call obsession - more kindly - vision, which will almost always be realized. Hornbeam wands adapt more quickly than almost any other to their owner's style of magic, and will become so personalized, so quickly, that other people will find them extremely difficult to use even for the most simple of spells.

Hornbeam wands likewise absorb their owner's code of honour, whatever that might be, and will refuse to perform acts - whether for good or ill - that do not tally with their master's principles. A particularly fine-tuned and sentient wand

Core Lore:
As a rule, dragon heartstrings produce wands with the most power, capable of the most flamboyant spells. Dragon wands tend to learn quicker than other types. While they can change allegiance if won from their original master, they always bond strongly with the current owner.

The dragon wand tends to be easiest to turn to the Dark Arts, though it will not incline that way of its own accord. It is also the most prone of the three cores to accidents, being somewhat temperamental. It also tends to be lethally hazardous if combined with certain woods.

Other:

Bilingual:
English was not Jabari's first language. As a matter of fact, Arabic was. He spent a good majority of his 7th-10th years of life learning the English language fluently. He now speaks both Arabic, and English fluently.

Accent:
Though he knows how to speak English, his voice is heavy with his Arabic accent.

Not Particularly An Academic Mind:
Jabari does not posess an academic mind in any sense. This is not to say he isnt smart, just that he is not book smart in any sense, and has difficulties in any subject pertaining to pure academics as a whole. Its been his downfall in many of his classes throughout the years he has attended Hogwarts.

Egyptian Origin:
He was born in Qalyub, Egypt, and raised for the majority of his life in the comparatively small city.

Bisexual:
He has no preference between male, or female. So long as they are pleasant to look at, and enjoyable to be around, he will be open to anyone. It all really depends on if you catch his fancy.

Charms:
Even though he isn't an Academic prodigy in the least, he is surprisingly good with charms. They seem to just come to him naturally, and he excels in Charms class, and Charms class alone.

Not Very Religious:
His parents are very religious Egyptians, but even as a young child, he couldnt bring himself to be just as religious as they are. Even to this day, he finds it hard to follow any certain religion.
This doesnt mean he doesnt believe in certain things. It does; however, mean that he doesnt regularly practice the beliefs of his parents.

Appearance:

Hair: Jabari's hair is rather long, and raven black in colour. He normally wears it in long, straight tendrils, or tied into a long braid usually draped over his left shoulder, oddly enough, it is cut into many different lengths. Short toward the top, and growing longer the further down his back it goes. He has a set of messy bangs that hang into his eyes, and ribbons, beads, or coins are often used to decorate his hair.

Eyes: His eyes are Honey Brown in color, and seem almost golden in the sunlight.

Height: He stands at 6'2"

Weight: 196lbs. Most of his weight is found in his muscle.

Body: Jabari's body is nicely toned, but he is not overly muscular. He has defined muscle set into a very lean, and well shaped frame. An athletic build, if you will.

Skin: His skin in a brilliant bronze, dotted under his right eye, and along various other parts of his body with what others would call "Beauty marks"

Clothing:

When outside of school, or on casual outing, Jabari is seen wearing what is typical of Egyptian, or Arabic people. He often dons a lot of golden jewelry, and brightly colored, loose fitting clothing. He almost always has a scarf, or bandanna of some sort tied about his head. He prefers to be bare footed, but will succumb to wearing sandals, or even heavier clothing should the need be. He wears large, golden hoop earrings on most occasions as well.

Deborah Johnson
SEVENTH YEAR RAVENCLAW
PERSONALITY
Deborah, or Debbie as some call her, is a well-mannered overachiever who lives by the bible of reason. She is diligent, ever so curious, and would go to great lengths to excel in her studies and extracurriculars. Ambition courses within her, though it is not overtly noticeable. Much is expected from the young half-blood, after all, and exemplifying the role of model student is just the first step to reaching those standards.

However, in trying to seem perfect in every way, she has made herself unreachable. Her dedication to academia and lack of social skills has garnered her very little friends, if not at all. The manner in which she was raised—with her life being strictly monitored by her hawk-eyed parents—does nothing to improve her case. Deborah has erected a wall around her, having learned to hide her true feelings behind a mask so as to appear what others expect her to be.

Deborah is civil and confident, or at least she tries to be. While there are certain subjects she feels strongly about, and she would most definitely speak up when injustices happen to the people around her, she is not quite as outspoken about her own personal feelings. The girl is good at being non-confrontational and as civil as possible, even when something upsets her; but perhaps she is too good at it, for she could never quite step her foot down and say 'enough is enough' when her limit is reached.

Instead, she holds all grudges and dissatisfaction within, resorting to beating around the bush when things don't quite end up the way she wants them to. This is worsened by the fact that Deborah is a know-it-all who believes that her way is the best way. She would not admit to dissatisfaction, but she would recourse to passive aggression—vague enough to make you wonder if she speaks with ill intent, or only in jest.

After all, Deborah is a proud young woman—proud of her own accomplishments, proud of her very being, proud of her roots. However, she is also humbled by the same. And in the end, what Deborah wants most of all are not perfect marks, perfect attendance, or an empty title, but simply control over her own life.

BIOGRAPHY
It was the early 1950s when Deborah's parents met each other for the first time through mutual friends. They had just freshly immigrated from Jamaica and hoped to start their life anew. Because both hailed from impoverished families, they yearned stability and control over their own lives, which they rightfully earned overtime after much hardship and diligence.

When Deborah was brought into the world, all they wanted was the best for her. They wanted their only daughter to achieve more than they ever could, and to prove all their naysayers wrong. They drilled the same old story into her head: about how they had it worse than she did at her age, but still managed to build a life for themselves. She was a lucky girl, they told her, lucky to be born and raised in a stable environment. There was much that her parents had to sacrifice to get this far, and in return, Deborah must work hard. She had a bright future ahead of her; all she had to do was reach out and grasp it.

Her Hogwarts acceptance letter came in not long after she turned eleven. She had never seen her parents so happy. Hogwarts was, after all, the school that they themselves had wanted to attend as children, but at the time they didn't have the money nor the opportunity to do so. It was a dream come true for both parents and child—a stepping stone to the promising future so dearly desired.

APPEARANCE
Deborah is quite simple in appearance. She stands at the average height of 5'4" and prefers to dress practically outside of school robes: her usual ensemble would consist of a sweater or a shirt, a pair of cuffed pants, and her favorite sneakers. There are times when she would go all out with her clothing, but these are usually reserved for special occasions such as dance parties or balls (if she ever even considers to attend them).

If there is one thing that she has drastically changed about her appearance, it is her hair. Deborah has charmed her naturally dark brown hair into a strawberry blonde color at some point in her sixth year. It was purely out of a whim. Her parents didn't approve of her decision, of course, but Deborah refused to change it. She would at least have some control over her own appearance, she had told them, and quite surprisingly her parents left it alone after that.

Year and House
7th Year Ravenclaw

Height
6'1"

Blood Purity
Pureblood

Personality

Flirty
Will is quite the charmer, and he knows it. While he isn't in much of a hurry to get into a relationship, he isn't afraid to let people know that he might be interested, as long as it's all harmless fun. He's comfortable in his sexuality and will simply brush off remarks about his interest in both guys and gals.

Mischievous
Will's reaction to any form of negativity is to give it right back in a way that he can enjoy. He finds a bit of joy in seeing people who upset or annoy him get riled up. His favorite thing to do is to probably act more effeminate to upset anybody who stands by their homophobic beliefs.

Strategic
This Ravenclaw realizes that everything in life has some sort of value to him, and will make decisions based on what he believes to be more advantageous in the long run. He will not pick a fight he knows he will get nothing out of. That being said, he still has an eye out for opportunities to kick back and enjoy himself-- after all, happiness is his end goal.

Intelligent
As the son of two professors, Will grew up learning how to work the academic system. He has learned to absorb as much information as he can during class hours so that he can avoid reviewing for exams. "Study the professor and not the coursework" and "work smart, not hard" are his mantras in this area. He can get high marks on exams without anybody seeing him put a single ounce of effort into his schoolwork, and can get days' worth of homework done in a few hours.

Laid Back
Although Will cares about looking presentable while in class or during events, outside of school, he can often be seen donning a simple long sleeved shirt and jeans. He very rarely stresses about his circumstances, instead choosing to take life as it comes. However, he is unable to understand when his friends don't see the same way and can often make insensitive remarks when trying to lighten the mood.

Pacifist
Will has always chosen to see the good in people. He believes that there are two sides to every story and will want to hear both sides out before making a decision. He will almost never resort to confrontation, believing that the drama and possible fallout just isn't worth it. Of course, this means that he also chooses to see the good in even the most evil of actions. Unless he comes to personally understand a cause, he will make excuses for anybody, such as racists, homophobes and even murderers, until it's too late.

Background

Will is the son of Muggle Studies professor Liam Williams and former Ilvermony Charms professor Charlene Williams. He has two older brothers, Christopher Levi and Christopher Lucas, who are 14 and 7 years older than him, respectively. Being the youngest son in a well-off, pureblood family, Will grew up spoiled and immersed in the world of wizardry and witchcraft. Even before he was admitted into Hogwarts, he showed an interest in learning more about the world, and often asked to borrow his older brothers' schoolbooks when they were home from vacation.

His family prescribed to the ideology that muggles are not unlike other feral creatures studied in Care of Magical creatures, and while they believed that all creatures should be treated with respect, they saw friendships with muggles as odd and insisted that deeper relationships with muggles were a form of beastiality. Unlike other pureblood families who believed that muggleborns were the lowest race among the wizards, the Williams believed that half-bloods were the true monstrosities. While Will would patiently listen to his parents' and brothers' ramblings about half-bloods, he still wanted to form his own opinion of them, wondering how bad anybody could possibly be to be considered a monster.

It was at Hogwarts that Will was able to test his family's beliefs, and he found that he strongly disagreed with what they thought to be true. He found that some of the kindest, most generous, and most intelligent people he met were muggleborns and half-bloods. Over the holidays, his brothers would tease him about his "strange" friendships and would attempt to poison Will's opinion of half-bloods with lies about their time at Hogwarts. Will, who had already developed romantic feelings for a half-blood at that point, decided to defend his relationship with the muggleborns and half-bloods, which prompted his family to cut ties with him. Now, Will spends his vacations in Hogwarts, unsure of whether he still has a place to call home after he graduates.

Bread

Bread is Will's cat. She is a black cat. Bread has blue eyes.

Relationships

Zed
If there was any one word to describe the relationship between Zed and Will, that word would be "competition". The two boys are constantly at each other throats, with Will often pretending to make moves on Zed just to annoy him.

Will believes that Zed is simply a misguided pureblood who needs to experience more of the world to become a more accepting man.

Kass
In their third year of schooling at Hogwarts, Will told Kass, in confidence, that he was disagreed with Zed's pureblood supremacist views, telling her that Zed's beliefs reminded him of his own family's. In turn, Kass revealed that her mother is a muggle. Will refused to believe that one of his closest friends at Hogwarts was a monster, this revelation pushed Will to finally take a stand against his own family's views, although he didn't see any point in confronting them about it just yet.

During the fall-out between Zed and Kass, Will was unable to see one as right and the other was wrong, and ended up being caught in the middle of the two. Will eventually silently sided with Kass, and slowly began to distance himself from Zed.

Will had always believed Kass would eventually become prefect. When he and Annie were appointed with the position in their fifth year, Will was surprised but accepted the partnership, figuring that Annie wouldn't have been chosen if she wasn't qualified. He did, however, begin to examine his own feelings for Kass, and decided that what he had originally thought was plain admiration was actually romantic attraction. However, he has never felt that revealing his feelings for her would be beneficial to their friendship, and has managed to keep his little crush a secret.
