So how long in years? "not very long" can be completely different in my head and yours.
 
Following our own timeline: Humans evolved 200,000 years ago while civilization have been around for 5,000 years and have just recently hit the Middle Ages.
 
May I add a different race? Of course I'll describe them to you, but I need to know if new races are allowed at all.

New races are accepted. Simply keep in mind that any other race than Human will be a minority.
