King Arthur? No one had even proven that he existed. It was just a legend. If he had existed, shouldn't there have been more evidence for it than a few myths? Most kings around the world had a lot of writings about them or paintings and sculptures of them, or buildings that would show how great they had been. Now Leilah suggested that she had lived during King Arthur's rule and died shortly after? Even for Annabelle, this story was hard to swallow. Maybe he had existed. There were some kings and queens that people had tried to erase from history. But king Arthur had been such a great king according to legends, so why would his country try to silence his existence?
"King Arthur?" Annabelle did look at Leilah as if she waited for her to start laughing and tell her that she was kidding, but since she doubted that would actually come, she continued on another track. "So king Arthur actually existed, huh? Was he the same as the legends made him out to be? Did Lancelot really have a an affair with Arthur's wife?" The later question was mostly to see if what Leilah said was true or not. Lancelot was extremely popular in the Arthur legend, but he weren't involved in the original legend, he was added later on by some author she couldn't remember the name on. If she went with the popular version instead of the original or changed the story altogether, since legends probably differed from reality, Annabelle could be more certain that it was a lie.
