Annabelle nodded as they walked out the room. "Yeah, some of it. It's especially great to take inspiration from your nightmares since you actually feel like you're going to die while you're dreaming. It makes the stories feel more realistic afterwards. It's just dreams, it's like watching a horror movie, it won't hurt you even if it's scary." She started quite excited. Maybe that had more to do with where they were going rather than the topic, but who knew, maybe she got excited over talking about nightmares. "I also take lots of inspiration from the animal kingdom. Insects are the cruelest creatures. It's amazing to put their behavior into fictional characters. When I first got to hear that spiders sometimes eat their mates, I wrote a story about a woman eating all the men she had sex with. Usually during the act. Then I accidentally got it mixed up with my homework and my teacher sent me to the principals office. Apparently writing stories about cannibals and sex aren't normal for a thirteen year old. My mom took away my computer for a month cause she thought I was watching some weird slasher porn." They had definitely overreacted. It wasn't like she had been writing out much details... At that point. Her skills in details became better over time, especially when she started to read more horror stories rather than just watching them on TV.
"The one you were picking up from the floor is almost finished, just gotta figure out if I want to go for a completely hopeless ending or a I survived but was it worth it ending. I did have another ending planned out when I started yesterday, but I scrapped that halfway through. Then I have one I've started on which I neglected cause I got engulfed in this one, but I know where I want it to go so I'll just pick it up later, and then there's one I got stuck in the middle on which I still don't know how to continue." Annabelle replied to his question. She had written quite a lot since she got there. Though it was to be expected considering all the things that were around her. This place showered her with inspiration because everything she saw was new. If they just let her out a bit more, she might even be able to double the amount for a while. At least until she got eaten by wolf demons.
