Name:
Sassa The Wild Woman of the North
Title:
She is a wild thing and thus has no nobility, but those who have seen her in the north have given her many names such as "Winter's bride" and the "Daughter of the North Wind" and sometimes even "The Mountain Maiden"
Age:
Looks to be no older than 20
Gender:
Female
Sexuality:
Heterosexual but that's mostly untested
Relationship Status:
Single despite the nicknames suggesting she is married to a season
Species:
She was supposedly fathered by a great winter spirit who took the form of massive white wolf so she certainly has some level of winter in her blood
Appearance:
Height:
5'5"
Weight:
115 lbs, she's a bit underweight and would probably benefit from putting on a bit
Clothing:
Distinguishing Features:
The girl is not exceptional looking though her lips do seem to always be red, perhaps stained with blood, and her eyes and bright, icy blue. Her canines are rather pointed but other than that, she's fairly normal looking.
Holdings:
None though all the northern wilderness is her home. She occasionally travels if she's tracking a herd of elk or something like that, but never farther than a few miles over the mountains in either direction.
House Emblem:
N/A
Notable relations:
Her father was said to be a winter spirit who raised her in the wild but he's not around now.
Military Might:
She has no armies but it is known that there are usually wolves in her company.
Loyalties:
Herself
Bio:
Sassa was born to a peasant woman less than twenty years ago. The woman, a beautiful young thing, claimed that a mountain god had come to her and impregnated her, much to the alarm of her family and fellow villagers. The woman was of course unmarried but she was not sent away as the villagers were superstitious as many Northern folk are. They feared retaliation if the child was sired by a god, so the woman was left alone. When her time to give birth came, she died in childbirth. Legend says that as they woman lay dead as the midwife cleaned the screaming babe, a great white wolf appeared at the edge of the village. The villagers lay the child down in the snow as an offering. The wolf lay down and seemed to communicate, supposedly in a great, booming voice, that the child would be cared for until she was able to follow him. The wolf lingered on the village edge until the girl reached the age where she could walk and speak and carry on. The two disappeared into the woods.
Sassa was raised with a pack of wolves, the largest being her father in wolven form. She learned to survive and became the wild woman she now is. Despite not being raised with people, she did occasionally allow herself to be taken in by groups of lumbermen and their wives. Among them she learned to speak well and some of the ways of the world. Through observation and her travels she's learned the names of the areas in the North and who is important. There's quite a bit of legend surrounding her, and spotting her is sometimes considered good luck and other times an omen of Winter's approach.
Many men have sought to claim her, but none have been successful. She waits with her wolves and watches from the peaks.
Religious Views:
She worships nothing save the earth herself.
Combat abilities:
Despite her small drame, Sassa is a fierce and formidable warrior. With spear, bow, sword, or her bare hands, she is not to be trifled with. She fights without the formal trappings of most trained warriors but with animalistic instinct. She's very quick on her feet and a phenomenal runner. She's never been captured or detained and she's killed plenty of men who have come to close with ill intentions.
Skills:
Hunting, tracking, combat, stealth, animal calls, foraging, has some primal communication with animals, she has a high, pleasant singing voice that sometimes draws unwanted attention, survival in general, running, climbing, strong swimmer, fire building, knot tying, trap making, primal knowledge of poisons
Other:
It is said the man who bests her combat will find she flees into the wilderness. Supposedly the man who successfully tracks her down will be the one she agrees to be the lover of.
