The premise of this game is incredibly simple: It revolves around a single character, for the purpose of reference known as 'Jack.' In each post, you must write a one-sentence scenario where Jack experiences something either drastically fortunate or drastically unfortunate, countering the action described by the poster before you. If that's confusing, allow me to give an example:
Post 1: Unfortunately, a gust of wind blows Jack off a cliff.
Post 2: Fortunately, Jack has a parachute!
Post 3: Unfortunately, the parachute doesn't deploy.
Post 4: Fortunately, Jack is caught by an angel.
Post 5: Unfortunately, the angel drops him.
...... and so on and so forth in perpetuity!
Now, why don't we start off with:
Unfortunately, Jack is bankrupt.
*This is a slight variation on an old forum game from a site I used to be on quite a lot, and alas, the name of the person who originally inspired the idea is not known to me. But, if anyone is familiar with the source of this madness, please feel free to share!
