And what, exactly, do you mean by Pure or Cortex?

Well, there is a tabletop game based on the world of Firefly.

"Pure" as in no mechanical rules, like D&D
"Cortex" is the name of the system
 
I guess pure, then? Lol I haven't even heard of the game. So I wouldn't have a clue about rules.
