Eugene clasped Rapunzel's hand tighter, looking around the dilapidated estate of the Haunted Masion.

There was an overwhelming aura of forboding about the place, one that made even Jack Skellington's manse seem bright and cheery in comparison.

"Feels like something just walked over my grave," the former thief admitted to his wife softly. "Place gives me the creeps. Hope we get some answers here and get out quick."

"It is the feeling of great age," Goliath's baritone rumbled beside him. Eugene nearly leaped out of his boots. How the hell something that big could be that quiet baffled him. If the gargoyle noticed Eugene's reaction, he did not show it. "This is...an ancient place. There is old magic here."

"I guess you're familiar with that?"

Goliath became pensive. "After a fashion. I have fought mystical opponents in the past. This feels similar to them. Old, powerful. We must be cautious."

"No argument from me, big guy."

The two watched as Jack Skellington took the lead, walking past Mickey, seemingly finding the lantern's light unnecessary. Indeed it wasn't, not for him. Not in this place. The Pumpkin King's skeleton grin widened as he reveled silently in the ancient magic that permeated this place. The Haunted Mansion predated him, it was true, but it was also one of the most iconic realms in his domain, and that gave him power.

"Don't dawdle now!" he said cheerfully. "We are almost there! Allow me to speed our way!"

Jack suddenly fell onto all fours, his long limbs suddenly bending at impossible angles and seemingly lengthening until he appeared to be a macabre caricature of a four-legged spider. His limbs and spine continued to grow and he crawled up and up and up the hill toward the Haunted Mansion, forming a bony bridge taking them right to the mansion's doorstep.

Aleu, blue
The wolf listened closely to Mickey's advice, but when Aleu followed into the portal after him, she was instantly aware of the lack of something to land on. When she fell, she started rolling down the hill, gathering large globs of mud in her fur as she fell over and over again before finally managing to catch her self and slide down, leaping on all fours. She reached the bottom panting and continuously lifting her paws out of the ground to keep them from sinking too far. She followed Mickey's gaze and her dirty fur stood on end when she saw the Haunted Mansion. It was pretty big and surrounded by an aura of death and a general offputting feeling. Aleu instantly despised the place for it screamed danger and nightmare fuel.

Her ears flicked at Mickey when he spoke, apologizing and commenting on the reason for their abrupt fall. She hoped no one had been hurt. They're always digging up new graves. Well, that's not comforting... but the lantern is. The mouse's paintbrush is something quite powerful to be able to conjure whatever it is the wielder desires. In this case, a lantern. It wasn't that Aleu needed it, since she could see pretty well in the dark, but it seems very useful for the future. Once Mickey started forward, Aleu walked beside him, that is until the skeleton got ahead and...made a bridge out of his body. Aleu's eyes went wide and she took a step back, uncertain at first about whether she should really step on him. It seemed wrong somehow to step on his bones but if it doesn't seem painful to him once she others start using him as a bridge, she'd follow. She kind of felt bad, getting mud all over him with everyone else.

Tinker Bell, yellow
Tinker Bell felt her companion sigh. She was sitting on his shoulder after all. Right after though, he made sure to lead the others through the ominous portal and inform them of what's up ahead. Tink wasn't scared. Definitely not scared. Pf..what's so scary about a bunch of dead people anyway. Ha. Not..scary...

Tink crossed her arms nervously and set her mouth in a determined pout even when the lightning flashed. The little fairy shivered, worried about storms. She can't fly in storms, or water most of the time. They bog her wings down and she tends to feel a bit helpless. Being helpless and tiny doesn't help her feel very confident about defending herself. Yeah so fairies and water do not mix.

"Alright gang, let's go!" The mouse shouted before leaping into...open air? The never fairy's blue eyes went wide when her toon leader held himself suspended for a second before falling and tumbling down the hill. Luckily for Tink, it's not raining. She had scrambled up and stood, fluttering her wings quick enough to avoid the plummet and mud. Ew. Avoiding all the other fools who jumped after the leader, she allowed herself to snicker at them all in midair, watching all their faces as they realized their mistakes. Priceless!

And when everyone was at the bottom, she hovered over them all, close enough to hear what Mickey had to say, but far enough to avoid mud. She was looking forward to watching them all trudge up to the mansion so she could stall before they got there and for some teasing fun, but then Jack ruined all her fun by turning into a bridge. She rolled her eyes, Boring. Tink could have given them all pixie dust, but that wouldn't have been much fun, now would it? They're all super muddy anyway.

Mickey looked up towards the hulking manor, puzzling his mind. He was thankful that some of the other heroes who joined them decided to stay behind at Halloween Town. The world was remote enough from the rest of Disney, so it would take a while for the Horned King's forces to arrive. They could set up a temporary base of operations until they found a better place to set up camp. Even still, Elsa, Anna and Rapunzel were all capable of handling themselves, but they felt it was best to stay and watch after their homes for now. The same was for Belle, who thought that Prince Adam would be much more suited to the danger that lay ahead. Mickey sincerely hoped that they would continue to help the group, maybe even rejoin them later on in their quest. Only time would tell, but Mickey was confident that whatever they decided to do, they did it because they knew it was the right choice for them. His thoughts were interrupted suddenly by Jack's triumphant call, followed by him stretching out his limbs to form a bridge. That was the Pumpkin King for you. Always full of surprises. "Good work, Jack. Come on everyone, the rain'll wash away the mud." Mickey called out over the thunder and rain as he marched up Jack's bone-bridge. When the group reached the top of the hill, the size of the mansion became apparent to them. It was massive, at least 13 stories (despite most buildings skipping that floor, the ghosts felt that it was a required addition to their hauntingly nice abode).
Mickey raised the lantern and approached the large front door. Grabbing the demonic knockers, he began to slam them against the cold black iron door. No answer. He tried once again. Nobody came to the door. It didn't budge, not one bit. Shifting uncomfortably where he stood, Mickey looked at the group and pointed a finger to his left. "Its no use, the ghosts won't let us in for some reason. We're gonna have to go through the Phantom Canyon, then cross to the Endless Graveyard. From there, we can enter the the back garden. I know a few ghosts who'll help us get into the mansion from there." explained Mickey as he crossed over from the doorway and started to head off towards the giant chasm in the hill. As they trudged on towards the chasm, Mickey looked around curiously, almost as if he was trying to find something. With a flash of lightning, Mickey looked up towards the roof of the mansion and narrowed his eyes in displeasure. Atop the old and decaying roof, was the silhouette of a man with a cape and top hat. His hands were boney and carrying something large, like some kind of circular box. Suddenly, the skies echoed with a horrible cackle, which even for the brave of heart, would have instilled a tremendous sense of fear in them. Just as soon as the lightning stuck, it vanished. By the next strike, the silhouette was gone, having either jumped off the roof or vanished from its spot.

Before anyone could speak, Mickey chimed in again. "He knows we're here. The Phantom... Or, better known as the "Hat Box Ghost" to most people who've heard of the mansion. He's the reason the mansion is haunted in the first place and its famously known he despises mortals." explained Mickey as the walked along, keeping his eyes open for any signs of the Phantom. Knowing that very grew of the group would understand what he was talking about, Mickey cleared his throat and started to tell the dreaded tale of the Haunted Mansion. "Long ago, there was a mining town known as Thunder Mesa. The human settlers here found wealth and riches far beyond any that the land of Disney had seen before. But, it was all stored deep within the abandoned mine inside Big Thunder Mountain, hence why the town was built around the mountain. At the head of this team of miners, was Henry Ravenswood. He was the one who founded the Thunder Mesa Mining Company and eventually, Thunder Mesa. Ravenswood got rich from the mine and eventually built a Victorian Manor atop Boot Hill: which we now call the Haunted Mansion. Henry built that manor along with his best friend and partner, Edward Gracey, and the two of them shared the home. Master Gracey married a woman named Constance Hatchaway, while Master Ravenswood married Amelia Leota, otherwise known as Madame Leota. The Gracey's never had children, but the Ravenswood's had a baby girl named Melanie.

As time passed and Melanie grew from a little girl into a beautiful woman. In this time, the gold inside Big Thunder Mountain ran out and Ravenswood was getting nervous about losing his wealth. Commanding his men to dig deeper into the mountain forced the Natives to act. They demanded that his operations cease or he would anger the Thunder Bird, a powerful spirit they believed dwelled in Thunder Mountain that protected a legendary treasure. It was said that whoever disturbed the spirit would incur its wrath. Ravenswood wouldn't believe any of this, so his men only dug deeper. While the miners continued mining, Melanie met and fell in love with a local train conductor. They planned to run away together and build a home of their own once they were married. While Ravenswood didn't approve of his daughter's choice, he only wished for her happiness. However, Master Gracey had different plans. Gracey had secretly followed the conductor and discovered he was actually a bandit who wished to murder the family and take their wealth. As he returned to the Mansion to warn Henry, Gracey discovered that Constance was actually married to the train conductor and worked with him. She was known as "the Black Widow", with a record of "marrying" rich men and murdering them. Before he could have a chance to escape, Constance promptly decapitated Gracey. The marriage was to go as planned and both Constance and the train conductor-bandit would be rich. However, they hadn't planned on Leota being a psychic. She sensed that Gracey still roamed the earth, but was unable to make contact.

The marriage was to be held within days of his death, but Gracey would not have it that way. In the days that passed, Gracey did all he could to try and frighten off his murderess and her love before they could get away with their wicked scheme. When nothing worked, he decided to contact Madame Leota via her crystal ball. She allowed him to properly materialize and brought in Ravenswood to discuss the deception. Just as all was revealed about Constance and her bandit-lover, the Miner's had dug through the deepest part of the mountain. You could say that they dug their own graves, so to speak, because there was an Earthquake. The Thunder Bird had been awoken, and it was enraged. The Earthquake was so powerful, it swallowed Thunder Mesa entirely and killed all within, including Madame Leota and Henry Ravenswood.

Through the evenings before the night of the wedding, Melanie had been noticing that strange events occurred around the manor. Candlelights flickered, the air was deathly still, and she could hear hushed voices echoing through the halls. While Madame Leota tried materialized herself and Ravenswood, Gracey took matters into his own hands. He eventually found Constance, plotting to kill the bandit after Melanie was gone. With rage in his no-longer beating heart, Gracey appeared and tortured Constance until her heart exploded, ending her horrid cycle of murder once and for all. With one thief down, Madame Leota managed to materialize herself, Ravenswood, and all the deceased inhabitants of Thunder Mesa, including Constance. With all these spirits inhabiting the house, something seriously wrong was about to happen. Most of them demanded a peaceful rest, while some wished to remain in the world due to unfinished business. Before things got out of hand, Master Gracey and Master Ravenswood rounded up all the ghosts and began to decide wether they would stay or return. Ravenswood wanted to save his daughter, but because it took quite some time before even Master Gracey could materialize enough to interact with mortals, knew he wouldn't be able to make it. But, there was a change of plans before he could act.

Before the earthquake, there was an old man who lived in Thunder Mesa. He was a hermit of sorts, always looking through the garbage for food and clothes. Eventually, he discovered Master Gracey's body, which had been dumped into the lake after his death. The hermit took Gracey's clothes, figuring that the deceased man no longer required them. When the earthquake hit, the hermit fell into the deepest hole, but managed to survive the plummet. As he recovered from the fall, the ghosts of Thunder Mesa began to rise and eventually drove the hermit mad. Taking his own life by decapitating himself, the hermit found he was now a ghost like all the others. But he was different. He had taken his own life and as a result, was a much different type of ghost. He was vengeful, angry, and sinister. He could do things that no other ghost could such as teleport, he was permanently materialized and could interact with mortals, and perform almost any act with his ghost body. He was a Phantom, just as wicked and sinister as they came. His madness carried over from his mortal body and into the afterlife, making him unstable. He couldn't remember anything about himself except the fact he wore fancy clothes and had unique powers. He assumed that because he wore such clothes and had special abilities, he was the master of the Manor.

On the night of the wedding, Melanie sat in her room adorned in her wedding down. She had called guests from across the globe to the manor so that they could celebrate the newly wed couple. Despite their warnings and attempts to halt the bandit's plan, the ghosts of the Manor could only watch as the wedding began to unfold. However, at the ceremony, the groom never showed up. Heartbroken by this, Melanie waited in the dining hall until the conductor arrived. Master Gracey soon went to investigate the disappearance of the thief, only to discover the body of the man in the Attic. He had been hung by the neck, but he was not dropped: he was strangled by the rope, painfully, until he died. Holding the rope, was the Phantom, who demanded that "his house" be inhabited only by ghosts. In one quick action, the Phantom (and the ghosts who followed his views on mortals) released a barrage of death traps upon the party guests as they tried to exit the mansion. The bodies were buried, burned, or tossed into the chasm left behind from the earthquake, which is now Phantom Canyon.

The other ghosts managed to force him from the manor, but his spirit still lingers. Its the memory that keeps him alive, the fact that people know who he is and what he's done. But Melanie... Ah, poor girl. She never got to marry her "Prince charming", despite him being a dirty no-good thief. She spent years waiting for her future husband to return, never removing her wedding dress or dropping her bouquet in hopes that her beloved would come back. The sad thing is, her bandit husband actually never materialized as a ghost. He was laid to rest, content with his fate and how his life ended. At least in the end, he showed signs of remorse and guilt for his actions. But Melanie never got closure, and so she waited. Eventually, the mansion rotted and grew older as time went on and nobody was making sure it got proper upkeep. By now, all the ghosts had learned how to materialize and began allowing more creepy creeps from crypts all across the globe to come and live in the Mansion. Melanie passed away at the age of 98, but she didn't die of old age. She died of a broken heart, never finding her beloved. As a result, she still wanders the Mansion, hoping that her beloved lays within the rotting and decrepit walls, waiting for her. While she has learned the truth of what happened so long ago, she still seeks her beloved groom. The Phantom, finding this act of literately "undying" love quite humorous, allowed Melanie to live an isolated life without friends or family to console her while she withered away. Sickening, if you ask me. But they say that if you listen closely when you enter the grounds of the Mansion, you can still hear poor Melanie singing bittersweet songs of love once lost to the metronomic beating of her broken heart."

As Mickey finished his speech, the group had already passed through the abandoned old western town of Thunder Mesa, which was home to only rotting skeletons and corpses that were tossed from the Mansion. Mickey knew that the backstory of the mansion was long and most likely boring, but he felt that the group should've known the entire story. After all, if the Phantom knew they were here, he would definitely try to throw a few tricks and traps at them. The Mansion was always looking for a thousandth member, and any of them would be enough to fill the position. Up ahead, was the endless graveyard, where the faint sound of music could be heard. The ghosts were gathering for a "swinging wake" and making the crypt doors creak and the tombstones quake. Mickey almost smiled at the sight of the ghostly ball and turned back to the group. "Everybody stay close. Most of these ghosts are frightfully sensitive to bright lights, so we should be able to clear a path right through the graveyard. Jack, they won't think twice about you because you're already dead, so perhaps you should be the one to join their chorus. After all, these Grim Grinning Ghosts came out to socialize, so they'll give us an easier time if we present ourselves as friends. I'll try to locate our Ghost Host once we're there."

On the Seven Seas-

Jack looked over his map, smiling when he noticed how close they were to Tortuga. It had seemed like forever since he had been there. He frowned. It had been even longer since Will and Elizabeth left. He called for Mr. Gibbs. No reply.
"Mr. Gibbs! Look alive!" he called again. Still nothing.

In walked a face that he thought he would never see again.
"Davy Jones."
"Hello, Sparrow. Long time, no see." The evil pirate said. "I see that Will Turner has taken over MY ship."
"Indeed he has. Although, it was never yours to begin with." Jack replied, trying to avoid eye contact. "So, where would my crew be?" he asked.
"Oh, they're alive and well, for now. I even found a couple of other friends. Young mister Turner, and his lovely wife, Elizabeth." Jones replied, an evil gleam in his eye. Jack swallowed. "We're no harm to you, I can assure you." Jack got closer to him, finally getting the courage to look at the hideous captain. "So, you can give me my crew, keep Will and Elizabeth, and I'll sail to Tortuga and keep my mouth shut about this. Savvy?" he said, trying to smile at the villain.
"Sorry Jack, but you can't get out of it that easily." With no warning, Jones hit him in the face, causing him to collapse. He began to lose consciousness, but not before he heard Jones say,

"Ready the Portal!"

Jack Sparrow watched as the odd group entered the strange place. He wasn't sure exactly what happened; one minute, Davy Jones had hit him squarely in the face, the next, he had awoken here. His head ached terribly, like the morning after a few drinks at Tortuga. Following them, he could only make out a few words that the large mouse said. I'll try to locate our Ghost Host once we're there." he had said. Quietly, he crept up behind one of them, unsheathing his sword. He watched with pride as they all froze at the sound of steel. Finally, he spoke.
"I'm going to make this easy for you." he began, placing the sword against the neck of the brown-haired female (Rapunzel).
"Tell me where the bloody 'ell I am, and I won't spill this lovely lady's blood."

Eugene's short blade whipped out in an instant, precisely batting the pirate's smallsword aside. A quick shift of footwork brought him between the sword-wielding pirate and his wife.

"Sorry, sea dog, but no one puts a blade to my girl's neck," the thief retorted with steel in his hand and in his tone. He kept his short sword at full extension, aimed right for their would-be assailant's heart. His free hand gently pushed Rapunzel back a step.

Behind him, Goliath's massive frame came onto the field and his wings unfurled with a menacing woosh of air. "Indeed. It would be unwise to attack an armed retinue when you are clearly outnumbered. Mulan, Aleu, take flanking positions," he said, intending to cordon the pirate. "Now, identify yourself."

Jack Skellington gave the debacle behind him a cursory glance, then regarded the Grim Grinning Ghosts rapidly approaching. "Whatever quarrel you all are having, finish it quickly. I may be able to soothe the dead, but this many living souls will draw too much attention...and fast."

The husband of the lady knocked the sword out of his grip, saying,"Sorry, sea dog, but no one puts a blade to my girl's neck," while Jack simply smiled, taking a step back as a huge creature stood above him. "Indeed. It would be unwise to attack an armed retinue when you are clearly outnumbered. Mulan, Aleu, take flanking positions," he said, "Now, identify yourself."

Meanwhile, the skeleton (Jack wasn't unnerved by him; after all, his former first mate and even he was a skeleton for some time) glanced back at him.
"Whatever quarrel you all are having, finish it quickly. I may be able to soothe the dead, but this many living souls will draw too much attention...and fast." he said.
Jack's grin grew wider.
"Clearly, some of you might of heard of me. I'm Captain Jack Sparrow, mates." he said, sheathing his sword. "Now, will any of you tell me where I am?"
Then, looking at the skeleton again, "You and my former first mate would have been good friends, if I hadn't ended his curse."

Mickey turned his head rapidly as another portal opened behind them, forcing him to reach for the brush on his back. However, he only saw the form of a somewhat erratic pirate captain. "Captain Jack Sparrow? How did you get here?" asked the mouse before he lowered his hand. At Skellington's words, Mickey nodded. Walking towards Sparrow, Mickey pointed a finger towards Skellington and said "You're absolutely right. Captain Sparrow? You're at the Haunted Mansion. My name is Mickey, we met once before when you made port in Frontierland. He's a friendly, guys, don't attack. Jack, we're in the middle of something right now. In fact, we could actually use somebody with your skill set. The villains have returned and are threatening to take over our worlds. I'm assuming that since you're here, Davy Jones had already set out on his mission to re-conquer the sea." Once he finished explaining what was going on (again), Mickey began to trudge forwards, watching as the ghosts began to fly up from their tombs for a swinging wake. Mickey suddenly stopped, holding out his hand to signal everyone else to stop as well. "Everyone stay here. I'm gonna go ahead and find our Ghost Host. Skellington, Goliath, set up a perimeter around the group. As long as the ghosts don't get too out of control, you should be fine. Just keep singing, they'll see you as guests and not trespassers." explained Mickey before he looked off into the distance. He left the lantern with the group as he marched off into the cloud of whispy white and blue apparitions, whistling the same tune that the ghosts seemed to be singing.

Jack nodded at Mickey,.
"Oh yes. Mickey Mouse."
"Jack, we're in the middle of something right now. In fact, we could actually use somebody with your skill set." -Jack smiled at this- "The villains have returned and are threatening to take over our worlds. I'm assuming that since you're here, Davy Jones had already set out on his mission to re-conquer the sea." Mickey finished.

Jack nodded. "That's right. He has complete control of my ship and even found Elizabeth and Will. He's holding them and the entire crew hostage." As Mickey gave instructions to the others, Jack looked around him. Ghosts. Hundreds of ghosts. It sent a chill up his spine just watching them. All of them singing. Stop it Jack, he thought, you're losing it.

TINKER BELL, yellow
"Good work, Jack. Come on everyone, the rain'll wash away the mud."
Rain? Oh no.

The first drop was the worst. She shivered ad swiftly fluttered to Mickey's shoulder with many complaints and whines about how cold and muddy it was, but her mousey leader was too preoccupied leading the group. She growled, turned red and tried to hold on to him despite the cold water that rained down and soaked her weighing down her wings and turning her into a wet little nuisance who couldn't do anything but sit and sulk. She hates rain. She hoped someone would open the door to the mansion, dead or alive, but of course there was no luck to be had on that chance. Tink jingled irritably and pouted, trembling in the cold of the rain that refused to stop. The quaking of the fairy's little bones only intensified when she followed Mickey's gaze and found herself staring at the shadowy outline of The Phantom. Tink gulped, whimpered and clutched Mickey tighter as her glow dimmed slightly. Okay. It's settled. If Tinker Bell finds this place creepy, it is most definitely creepy.

Though she had heard the story of the Haunted Mansion before, Mickey's storytelling was always enthralling, and since she didn't have much else to do, she focused on his words rather than the cold she was feeling. Sometimes it was boring and Tink zoned a little, staring at the dull expanse of the property, but swiftly paid attention again when she grew downright freezing. Why is it so cold out here? The Never Fairy untied the ribbon holding her hair in a bun, let it fall and squeezed it out. The task wasn't as easy as you'd think, since she had to keep a firm grasp on the fur of her friend Mickey with one hand at all times. She almost slipped once, but regained her footing before she could fall in the mud. That would be even worse than the fact that her beautiful hair is already frizzy! Frustrated, she jingled, stomped and mumbled while tying it back up. As devoted as she was to this mission, she still wanted to accomplish it in style. Why isn't that working out? Grr.. stupid rain.

"Everybody stay close. Most of these ghosts are frightfully sensitive to bright lights, so we should be able to clear a path right through the graveyard."

Tinker Bell gulped and crouched, trying to hide slightly in Mickey's fur so none of the ghosts would spot her glow among the seemingly endless gloom. This isn't a place where she could win the battle. If she scared them, that's all she could do. For awhile, that could help, but in the long run that just meant the ghosts would be trying that much harder to make her their thousandth member and that was the last thing she wanted. Well, the last thing she wanted apart from the death of a friend. So when she heard a sword unsheath behind her, Tinker Bell whipped around only to spot Jack Sparrow (Great! Another Jack!) holding cold steel to Rapunzel's throat. Tink growled, clenched her fists and flared up gold for a moment even when she heard Goliath get the situation under control and Mickey reach for his brush. NO ONE threatens Tink's friends. Not even Sparrow. She surely would have punched him by now if she could fly. When Jack Skellington spoke up again, hoping to end the sudden arrival's threat swiftly, Tink huddled in Mickey's fur again, looking up at the sky to hope the ghosts wouldn't come down for them. Her leader went through the situation for the pirate swiftly and just as everyone was about to start forward again, with Tink giving the new arrival the stink eye, Mickey stopped suddenly. She had to hold on tight, curled up in her little ball with her wings down. What now?

"Everyone stay here. I'm gonna go ahead and find our Ghost Host. Skellington, Goliath, set up a perimeter around the group. As long as the ghosts don't get too out of control, you should be fine. Just keep singing, they'll see you as guests and not trespassers."

Tinker Bell's eyes widened substantially and she burned red. NO way was Mickey going all alone! She held onto his ear tightly, but in this cursed slippery rain, he managed to pluck her off and hand her to Jack Skellington, where she struggled furiously and jingled loud, no longer caring about being inconspicuous. When she saw the lantern on the ground in the circle of mish mash heroes, she froze and whimpered sadly. "Mickey..."
How could he leave without anything to light his way? Without her? She ignored the other then and pouted in Jack's hand. There was no way she'd be able to help now. She was virtually useless here. So she climbed up Jack's sleeve carefully, nearly slipping twice on his skeletal form before sliding into the breast pocket of his tux where she could stay as hidden and warm as possible. Being dead, the man could not offer her body heat, but this was better than nothing now that Mickey's off on his own.

ALEU, blue
Aleu followed in Mickey's footprints, taking light steps on Jack before making pawprints that lasted seconds in this mud. She was grateful for the rain as her leader was in this. Though it was strange to get used to being a follower instead of the alpha, she knew he was clearly more equipped here. and so far, he was leading quiet well so she wasn't arguing yet. Only staying aware in the refreshing downpour near the Haunted Mansion. This area was chilly, and not only in the way that her wet coat was protecting her. There was a feeling of being watched here. An overall feeling of death that kept Aleu's ears back through the entire walk up to the house. She gulped, staying low and ready to spring, especially if the door started to open on its own. Though it seemed illogical to fight those who were already dead, she would try if she had to. Though the fact that they had to go through the back concerned the wolf. Why would the ghosts want to keep them out if the spirits are supposedly friendly?

Oh...The Phantom. Aleu flinched with most of the others when the storm grew loud, illuminating the ghastly shadow of a man on top of the large mansion. Aleu shivered and backed up, tail between her legs before it disappeared. She sensed its malevolence and grew curious as to its cause. Good thing Mickey began the tale. She followed beside Mickey as often as possible, listening to the long tale of the dead here. It was a bit complex at first, but she understood and didn't say a word through the explanation. Mickey Mouse was obviously very familiar with this place and knowledge is power. She had confidence in him, for with that, the team could overcome much of the challenges up ahead.

Even random pirated that show up seemingly out of nowhere.
Aleu whipped around at the man with the strange clothing and growled, fur prickling up and claws stretching under the mud. Who was he to threaten a weaker human? She knew she was human and she doesn't usually trust those, but Rapunzel was a part of her team now. As far as she knew, they were working for the same cause, so she would defend her along with the rest of them. That is why she obeyed Goliath when he told her to take a flanking position on the pirate man. She did so slowly, nodding at Mulan so she knew to take the left side. Aleu stalked the newcomer to his right, snarling and ready for anything. He was told to identify himself and Aleu instantly memorized Jack Sparrow, putting him on the long list of humans she disliked or did not trust. That kept her eyes and ears on Sparrow even when Skellington warned them that they had little time. Mickey seemed to identify Jack as someone he trusted so Aleu relaxed slightly, bus she wouldn't trust him a smidge just yet. The situation was explained briefly before Mickey seemed to insinuate that he was going off on his own. Aleu gave him concerned looks. If she'd learned anything from her pack it was to stick together. He seemed to know what he was doing and as much as she wanted to accompany him, she knew that if there was singing involved, this was something she could help with. Mickey didn't want her help. She could tell that much.
"Be Careful..." She frowned, giving him her eyes for a moment before she let Jack and Goliath surround her. She didn't like the close quarters too much, but she had a task now. She just hoped her singing was acceptable among the ghosts of dead humans.
But Mickey asked her to sing. For good reason. So she threw her head back and howled to match the song of the ghostly chorus, staying on all four paws in case of any emergency. She encouraged the others to join her song, though for them it would probably be in english. This was supposed to help. Right?

As the situation with Captain Jack Sparrow calmed, the Pumpkin King turned his attention to the coming ghosts. He hummed their choral tune softly, his mystical senses - the ones attuned to this realm of Halloween Town - easily becoming one with the ghostly sea of apparitions approaching.

"They are calming now," Jack Skellington reported. "Our music soothes them. But it will not hold forever. They defer to my presence as the Lord of Halloween, and that will buy us more time, but Mickey should be swift in his task."

The skeletal man brought a hand to his breast pocket, and then under it, where he snapped off a tip of rib bone and offered it to his erstwhile passenger, Tinker Bell. "Here, little fairy. This ought to be the right side for an umbrella for you. Stay under there and you'll be quite dry."

He then walked up beside the dusky-skinned pirate. The other Jack felt very familiar to the Lord of Halloween, the familiarity of undeath. "You should be under my domain, I feel, Captain," he said in a friendly tone. "But it seems you've...recovered...from that particular ailment of undeath. I suppose there is a tale there, no?"

Meanwhile, Goliath took a quiet perch at the edge of the group, watchful of the coming ghosts and mindful of any threats. His would have been a solitary duty, but Aleu was nearby. He saw the noble beast's quick action upon his earlier commands and reached out a hand to gently stroke her fur. "There's a good girl," he rumbled softly. "We'll keep a watch out together."

Eugene stayed close to Goliath with Rapunzel closer at hand. He had yet to sheathe his blade, but at least kept its flat against his leg rather than at guard. He hadn't yet gotten over Sparrow pulling steel on his wife. For now, though, their group needed all the help it could get, and obviously everything earlier had been a misunderstanding. "Hope this trip is worth it."

Elsa-elsa-the-snow-queen-35732382-369-548.jpg

After she stepped through the portal, she was surprised at all the thing she saw and the people she saw. The Mouse she now knew as mickey and also the one who called for her help. There was a Skeleton-man who was named Jack, Elsa found him to be very polite, Rapunzel and Eugene were there to her surprise. The strangest to her was the wolf and large dragon or demon, she had never seen them before. She also met an actual fairy named Tink, and Mulan a young woman with a strange dressing style, it was free yet elegant.

Elsa mostly kept to herself after greeting and meeting everyone, she didn't say much she kept her calm demeanor and only nodded her head every once in while when the Mickey or Jack said something that's she thought needed her approval. She was only listening until Mickey mentioned a Haunted Mansion, this made her glad that she left Anna at home, also she had no idea who this, Madame Leota, was to her she sounded like a sorceress of some kind.

After some discussing Elsa lifted her head to see Jack wave his bony hand and create another portal, she looked at it carefully even tough she herself had magic this was so new and just amazing to her. Before she stepped in the portal she heeded Mickey's warning about the ghosts being ruthless, she didn't like the idea of ghosts but she wasn't afraid. Once she stepped into the portal she became aware of the lack of solid ground beneath her, falling and landing but not to hard, she let out a gasp as she saw the Haunted Mansion, it was most definitely haunted she decided.

Her eyes were wide open when they crossed a bridge and the large mansion came into view, she couldn't stop staring, but was snapped out of her wonder when Mickey said that the ghosts won't let them in, she let out a sigh and listened as Mickey explained their route. She jumped a bit at seeing the silhouette of someone, she tried to pay it no mind, but that was no option for Elsa, she wanted to ask about it, but Mickey beat her to it, she looked confused when he said that, that's was the Phantom, or at least the this Phantom knew of their presence. She listened even closer when Mickey started to tell the tail of this Mansion.

"Stay close" Mickey said to them after he finished his story. Suddenly out of no where, a man, who seemed to Elsa to be a pirate of some sort, grabbed Rapunzel, Elsa on instinct lifted her pale hands in front of her ready to ice her ice at any measure to get the brunette back save at her side. Mickey spoke behind her and that was she learned that this man, is Captain Sparrow, she wanted to say something to him, but whirled around to look at Mickey when he said that's they would have to stay behind, but stopped what she wanted to do when she saw the ghosts and the song that was being sung to calm them down, she was very tempted to sing with them, she was so fascinated by these ghosts, and all the magic she was seeing with her own two eyes, somewhere inside her soft heart she wished that Anna was here, but on the other side it was best that her sister was safe.

Rapunzel's fingers lightly traced the rim of her frying pan. It was worthless against ghosts, though she shouldn't have hesitated to use it against the pirate. She disliked needing to be rescued, though she was appreciative that her husband had been quick to intervene. She simply wished that she had clubbed Jack Sparrow about the head. It would have made her feel like she belonged on this quest, and was somewhat ready for the threats that she and Eugene would undoubtedly face.

Wearily eyeing Captain Sparrow, the short-haired brunette kept close to her husband, the gargoyle called Goliath, and the she-wolf Aleu. Green eyes dared to briefly drift from Sparrow as she regarded Queen Elsa and then the singing Lord of Halloween. There was a part of her who wanted to join the skeleton in his song. The rough skin of Pascal against her fair skin brought her away from her musing and she nuzzled her cheek against her lifelong companion before taking Eugene's hand and squeezing it affectionately.

"Of course it is," she gently confirmed for her husband. "I just hope Mickey will be okay."

"Easy for you to say," Eugene countered in a stage whisper to Rapunzel. "You have a dashing hero like me to fend off pirates. Mickey just has some hocus pocus."

"I suspect quite a few of our companions have this 'hocus pocus,' Eugene," Goliath rumbled as he stroked a hand through Aleu's fur. He nodded his squarish jaw toward the blonde-haired Elsa. "That one is virtually brimming with power. I can feel her magic misting off her like a cold winter wind." He addressed Elsa more directly, "Isn't that so, young queen?"

Privately, Jack Skellington had to agree. He surveyed their party, and while Aleu, Goliath, Eugene, and Jack Sparrow all seemed rather physicall inclined and capable, it was the magic he sensed from Elsa, Mickey, and Tinker Belle - Elsa especially - that caught his attention. The mouse and the Never Fairy were obviously magical, but only Elsa seemed to have the demonstrated potential and power capable of matching the Lord of Halloween.

If the Pumpkin King were a betting man, he figured that between him, Elsa, and Mickey, their band was more than ably protected from even Halloween Town's darkest predators.

Hearing Goliath's grumbling voice, Elsa looked up and fully registered what he had said, Elsa didn't know if it was a question or statement she never thought much of her own power. After what happened between her an Anna, she had made peace with what was, she was no longer afraid, and her power was now as controlled and fluent as breathing was to any living creature.

Slowly she stepped closer to Goliath and Aleu a small smile lighting up her beautiful features "My power...I must say that I never thought much of it, I'm not denying its gift" she said stopping next Aleu, looking at her hands "I doubt its much compared to Mickey and our Lord of Halloween" she smiled softly "But I will use it to protect, no matter what" she spoke, hesitantly putting her small hand on Aleu's soft fur and smiling her gentle smile at the she-wolf.

The brunette rolled her eyes at her husband, but his whisper was enough to make a warm smile fill her lips as she rewarded him with an appreciative loving look. She kept her thoughts to herself when Eugene claimed that Mickey would be safe because he had magic. They both knew that magic wasn't always enough to keep someone safe, and that sometimes the loss of magic was the cost of a happily ever after.

She smiled appreciatively at Elsa. The Rapunzel was happy to see that the events surrounding the monarch of Arendelle's coronation had helped the queen come to peace with her abilities. She and Eugene had seen the woman's magic first hand and Rapunzel, for one, was relieved that Elsa was on their side.

Despite her best attempt, she couldn't help but feel as if she were dead weight, especially after what had happened with Jack Sparrow. Rapunzel might be impressive with a frying pan, but it was useless against ghosts and the like.

Her green eyes had turned back in the direction Mickey had disappeared and she bit her lower lip forming a thoughtful expression.

The howling wolf at the edge of the group of heroes let her song go soft as Jack Skellington informed them that the ghosts were calming. She was glad to have done her part and wondered if she should continue just to be sure, but no one else seemed to find it necessary for now so she stood, ears up and fur dripping from the rain. Aleu was pretty sure that many of the others were incapable of clear vision in environments like this, so she kept aware, kept on guard for anything, especially on the moving shadows and wisps at the edges of her view.

Well, she kept as aware as she could until a large hand began stroking through her sandy coat, darkened by the rain cleaning it. Aleu stiffened at first for she had not been given a good scratch behind the ears since she left her mother (and her masters) in Alaska. But, unable to reject the praise, she gave into the domestic dog in her and leaned into his large palm. His fingers were hard, made of stone actually, but he was more gentle than she expected he could be so she slowly relaxed under his ministrations, listening less to their surroundings and more to the conversation of the group. Now that Goliath mentioned it, Aleu recognized Elsa's powerful magic and glanced at her, sizing her up. For a queen of ice and snow, she seemed unexpectedly warm hearted and Elsa proved as much when she looked down and put her hand in Aleu's coat too. Aleu groaned and gave them each a wolfy smile of appreciation. Living in a pack of wolves that don't understand the comfort of a simple set of fingers combing through their fur, Aleu had nearly forgotten how nice it really was. Her tail swished back and forth slowly, showing how relaxed and mellow she had become even in these circumstances. Eyes closed, ears floppy and memories of wanting to be adopted with all of her siblings as a pup. Oh how she had wished to belong back then...she didn't understand.

Normally, she wouldn't let herself become this irresponsible. Calming and assuming safety in a setting like this could get her killed and the wild wolf spirit in her was trying to pull her away from the soothing sensation of their fingers, but Aleu hadn't felt so tame in so long. Sometimes it's really nice to feel like people care, to have people praise you for your services. Not just your family of dogs or wolves, but these other species, humans even that smile at you and threaten to make you fall asleep in their laps with such sweet affectionate touches....

TINKER BELL, yellow

The Never Fairy, drenched and miserable in Jack's coat pocket, was at least slightly comforted to hear that the ghosts were calming, no doubt thanks to Aleu's beautiful voice. And the fact that Tink's glow was dim according to her mood in the stifling darkness around them. The only other light they had was the lantern Mickey had left behind.

By the time Jack could really do anything about it, Tink was already shivering in a little ball, trying to think positive so Mickey would be okay. Then he handed her a tiny umbrella made of bone, calling her little fairy and assuming she'd be dry beneath his creepy creation. Tinker Bell knew he was trying to help and at this point, she was too worried about Mickey give Skellington an attitude about her name (which he knew quite well) or the fact that she was already soaked and freezing. Couldn't he have thought of this earlier?
It took her a moment, but she took the bone with shaking fingers and held it over her head with a pouty little huff. Tinker Bell mostly ignored further conversation from the group unless it grew extremely important or if they mentioned her name. She missed Peter Pan already and she hoped he'd be alright without her. He could be foolish without her guidance at times and the lost boys get rowdy. How long would this dangerous trip last? She had never been away from them for more than two or three days. Would she return to Neverland? Would there even be a Neverland to return to?

Tink shook her head. She couldn't think that way. She needed a distraction, but right now, the only one available was the chatter of the group outside the skeleton's breast pocket. So she sighed and stood up wobbly, using one hand to hold the top opening of his pocket for balance and the other holding the makeshift umbrella over her head. She was still shivering and her wings were drenched, limp and pointing toward the ground in an effort to dry as fast as possible. The others were talking about magic, Elsa's in particular. They didn't mention Tink at all, who was kind of peeved at the lack of attention. she stuck her nose up in the air with a pout and griped. "Well if she's so powerful, you'd think she could put up some sort of shelter from all the ghosts and the rain! Hmph. Would you mind relaying my complaints, Jack? I think Elsa might need some brains to accompany all her great power." Tinker Bell looked up at the Lord of Halloween expectantly from between wet strands of her blonde bangs. She was feeling snarky, rude and grumpy, but only because she was increasingly worried about Mickey and her wings are too heavy to fly on.
"Ugh! Does it ever stop raining around here?!" Tink jingled irritably and flopped to the bottom of the old tux's breast pocket, gripping her white umbrella and holding a seemingly permanent pout.

To the ears of others, Tinker Bell's words were like soft wind chimes, utterly incomprehensible to the naked and untrained ear.

But Jack Skellington was a creature of mysticism, much like the Never Fairy, the personification of Halloween. He heard her words clearly. Besides, he didn't even have ears to be naked or untrained.

"Queen Elsa," Jack called back to the others with a dapper bow and scoop of his bo[BCOLOR=#000000]ny limb, "It seems a few of our entourage may find it more comfortable if we had shelter while Mickey returns. If you please?" The undead king then patted the Never Fairy gently with a fingertip. "A most marvelous idea, Ms. Tinker Bell. I daresay you and the others shall be dry as my bones in no time!"[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=#000000]Amongst the others, Goliath found a suitable collection of boulders upon which to sit, inviting the others to join him. To weather the dreary rain, he kept his leathery wings furled around him like a thick cloak. He rumbled deeply, "It would seem we have no other choice but to wait for the Mouse to return. Now that the perimeter is secure and our ghostly visitors pacified, we are at least safe...for the time being."[/BCOLOR]

"Then how about lunch?" Eugene suddenly interrupted, taking off his cloak and setting it across a fallen wet log near the others, so that he and Rapunzel could sit on at least something resembling dryness. He pulled shucked his satchel and flipped it open, revealing a few cloth-wrapped loaves of bread and wedges of cheese. "Not much, I know, but we kind of left in a hurry."

He gave end of bread to Aleu in a gentle underhand toss.

In contrast, he simply hurled a piece of cheese at Jack Sparrow, smacking the pirate in the hat.

When Goliath gave the thief a glare, Eugene simply shrugged innocently. "What? He looked hungry."

Elsa turned her head back to Jack as he called her name. Now that he had brought her attention to it she realized that's she completely forgot about the rain, not feeling the cold and her mind worrying about Anna and her Kingdom, she felt a bit guilty for letting her friends get wet and cold.

With a nod of her head and a smile she stepped forward a bit away from her group and turned so that she was facing Jack. She lifted her arms and effortlessly let the magical sparks fly from her fingers, she smiled as the feeling of using it came to her. Only moving her hands a bit as an elegant structure of blue ice patterns surrounded them, thinking about how tired her friends must be she let the ice form an elegant bench structure for them to rest and be more comfortable. Letting the last crystal curl to form one with the rest she dropped her arms back in place to rest at her side.

Slowly she walked up to Jack and smiled at him "I apologize for not doing this earlier, I forgot about the rain and that my friends can still feel the cold...but I hope this makes up for it" she said softly for only him to hear and gestured to the ice structure.

Not soon after Mickey departed, the form of two large black ears appeared in the distance, brightened by a ghostly pale blue light. The shape of the Mouse's head stood there for a while, before there was laughter in the distance. Apparently, whatever he was talking to had decided to have a chuckle. Quickly, Mickey dashed back over to the group, curious as to why there was a massive ice shield surrounding them. With a roll of his eyes, Mickey grabbed the brush and began firing a glob of thinner, which dissolved the ice. Once the group was exposed again, he offered them a friendly smile and waved a hand. "Okay guys, c'mon! Barry is gonna show us the way!" exclaimed the excited Mouse before a

appeared right behind him, grinning kindly. "Top'a 'th evenin', folks! 'Ow ya doin'? Name's Barry McBooster, friends. So, ya want ta enter the mansion, eh? Nat gonna be easy, but I'll see what I can do's for ya." explained the rather goofy looking ghost, who tipped his hat kindly towards the group. Upon the group's shocked expressions, Mickey smiled and said "Me and Barry used to be in all kinds of cartoons back in the day. He was first introduced along with his brothers, Tommy Terror and Sammy Spirit, in "The Lonesome Ghosts". You know, the one where Goofy, Donald and I are ghost hunters? That short was actually filmed here at the mansion, believe it or not."

Just as he finished his sentence, Mickey's eyes popped open in shock, almost as if he were remembering an important fact. Cupping his hands over his head, Mickey exclaimed "Ohmigosh! Goofy! Donald! Gee, I forgot that they were in Toon Town when the villains showed up. No doubt, Judge Doom has taken over my home. I just hope that those two made it out okay with the others." As his worry seemed to apparent fade, Mickey turned around and watched as Barry waved his hand, indicating that the group follow him. "Alright gang, let's get a move on. Keep singing! The ghosts think that we're friendly, but they're still aggressive towards mortal visitors." said Mickey. As he began to march his way through the mud, his large shoes continuously made a "slop" sound with each step. But while he was walking, Mickey began to think about what he had just said.

Donald, Goofy, Yen-Sid and Merlin... I just left them there. I know they're capable of handling themselves, but I really hope that they got out safe. Chip and Dale could've made it off with the Rescue Rangers, Launchpad could've gotten Scrooge McDuck and the Duck triplets, but I'm not sure how Daisy, Minnie and the girls could've faired... Please guys, keep the girls safe. Minnie... Walt, please let them have saved Minnie..." thought Mickey before his nose was suddenly pushed back into his face. He had bumped into something. Sticking a thumb in his mouth and blowing, Mickey managed to pop his nose back out and make his face look normal again. Shaking his head, Mickey looked at whoever he bumped into and saw it had been Barry. Smiling triumphantly at his old friend, Barry let out a rather menacing cackle (that Mickey knew was just how he laughed) before saying "Alright guys, here we is! Melanie's Room is jus' up ther." Upon his last word, Barry raised an arm and pointed a transparent finger towards the large open window leading into a nicely decorated room. Nodding his head towards the ghost, Mickey said "Thanks Barry. Think you could get us to Madame Leiota from here?"

"Mousey-Boy, if'n ther's one ting I knows 'bout, its how ta navigate ma own house. Don' ya worries! I'll git ya ta Madame Leiota, or my name isn' Barry McBooster!" exclaimed the friendly ghost before he suddenly flew up into the air, then into the window. A few minutes after he had left, Barry returned with a bunch of dusty sheets all tied together in a rope. Tossing it down to the group, he called out "Come on, palio's! Th' Mansion awaits ya!"

"Huh, well, this is certainly something we've got experience with, right Rapunzel?" Eugene commented, grasping the bedsheet rope in his hands. "It's not as soft as hair, but it looks like it'll hold our weight." The thief then glanced at Goliath. A very big Goliath. "Well, it'll hold most of our weight."

The gargoyle let out a thoughtful, quiet rumble deep in his chest. "Do not concern yourself with me, Eugene Fitzherbert. While I can only glide with these wings rather than fly, I am by no means bound to the earth." He held out his large hand, talons gleaming. It was evident that he could scale the mansion with his bare hands if he needed to. Suddenly, he kneeled by Aleu, offering a hand. "Come, girl. I shall carry you."

"Well then, up we all go!" Jack Skellington declared, his long spindly limbs easily scaling up the bedsheet rope.
