There always was, and always is. There will be forever hold. Of the power of the cosmic balance in the universe, as The Darkness comes, The Light... it will always hold.
- Mysterious Deciphered Message
The Golden Age. The Rebirth of mankind's hope. A once doomed constellation and solar system, attacked and consumed by Darkness. The arrival of alien life and evil incarnations of regime and war. The Darkness came for humanity, but was also received by something else. Something greater, something pure of Light. The Traveler, a large sentient terrestrial being that came to us in the hour of need. His Light cleansed the Solar System of all impurities of both planet and Darkness alike, giving man the freedom and faith to expand, to use his gifts and Light to transform the system into colonized civilizations. From the dawn of a new era of mankind... The Light gave them cosmic power, the power of universal energy. These beings fought and protected mankind in Light and hope. They became Guardians.
The Collapse. The cataclysm of human history that almost saw that the end of the species. The Darkness retaliated evil and attacked humanity all over the Solar System, pushing them back to Earth, their original home. Droves of lives lost in peril. But the Traveler and his Light began to fight back against Darkness. His Light repeled the dark forces from Earth, and amongst the Solar System, paying the ultimate sacrifice, and suffering ultimate damage. Leaving humanity with its technology and gifts, The Traveler entered a stasis to contain the remaining Light it has left. Before it did, it created Ghosts, fragments of Light that sought out Guardians to protect the last of humanity.
The Dark Age. Remnants of The Collapse are now scoured.
Vast suffering and survival of the primal ensued. The Fallen arrives, a pirate alien race of creatures built on scavenging and harvesting races and planets for their resources. They destroy London. Humans run into the void, and are exposed to The Darkness. They reject Earth and become The Awoken, shaped and reformed.
The Exo machines from The Golden Age emerge once again with severed memories, as Ghost travel to find those first Guardians. Rangers protected Earth from alien and evil, while The Guardians were lost. The first reborn by The Traveler become ruthless Warlords, feeding on power. But a fellow warrior named Radegast developed what he called a Fireteam to band together and stop the Warlords from anarchy. One Warlord, Fellwinter joins the warriors and attempts to broker peace, being betrayed and revived by a Ghost to stop the remaining chaos on Earth. The remaining warriors become what's known as Titans.
The City Age. Survivors and protectors from The Collapse journey to right below the dormant Traveler. A safe haven was formed, called The Last City. Factions formed of the Last City with differently ideals on society. The Consensus granted peace to the factions, that they make band together in the last place of humanity to fight to onward threat. The Vanguatd forms after the wake of guardians fending off The Last City in a decisive victory, when all seemed but lost. And today.
Today you are a new age. A remnant of the past, and a catalyst for the future. You are guardian, the Light of the Traveler.
This Destiny RP will feature canon content from the game and universe, but will also be an original story arc featuring our characters created. Be respectful and very mature OOC, and have fun and RP to your heart's content. With that being said, here are a few rules:
1. Each character will have ONE subclass only from the Titan, Hunter, or Warlock class.
2. You may choose a race of Human, Awoken, or Exo for your character.
3. For the sake of this story and RP, multiple main characters will not be allowed, but you may use and interact with NPCs
4. No Gary/Mary sues obviously. This universe has enough power and history to create something truly original.
5. Any ideas or input about the story feel free to message me or post OOC for suggestions and comments!
6. The beautiful thing about Destiny is, with The Light, a guardian can die and be reborn, however. IF you die in this RP you will be reborn with no memories of the prior life, and must essentially start from scratch skill wise. So, don't die by doing anything just nonsensical plot wise or character wise.
7. This RP will be divided into Chapters. Each chapter will be it's on story or arc, but will pick up from the previous adventures.
8. Exotics and engrams will be treated like rare relics as they are lore wise, so in order to gain access to them and use them they must be decrypted or exclusively attained (which will be some in RP events where exotics and such will be referenced or even used)
9. I will approve all CS': make sure the sheet is fully fleshed out and made unique by you. I probably will not take everyone if there's a lot, but I won't be shunning everyone necessarily either.

RACES:
Human - Sapient species native to planet Earth. Tough, smart, and resilient whose spirit is unrivaled.
Awoken - A race of humanoids that are generally isolated from Earth. They are rather secluded in dark sectors of the solar system. Standoffish, and noted by pale skin and luminescent eyes, The Darkness mutated them into having powers answer abilities beyond human ancestors.
Exo - Humanoid war machines built long ago for an unknown purpose and fashioned in humanity's image. Unyielding and tireless, they are so mechanically advances only a Ghost can understand their inner workings. They think themselves human, or rather having human minds in machine bodies. They all have a number appended to their name to indicate how many times they've been rebooted.

Crypto-Archeology - Known as The Cryptarchy, they study the properties of encoded matter known as engrams. They study other Golden Age artifacts as well, and can decode and decrypt thoroughly any piece of data in a way that cannot be replicated.
Vanguard - Elite guardians who coordinate The Last City's defenses, organizes assaults on enemy strongholds, assassinate their leaders, and mentor newly-risen guardians. Titan Awoken Commander Zavala leads them.
Crucible - Combat faction focused on tactical and guardian combat battle and adaptation of field warfare. Led by Titan Crucible Lord Shaxx.
Dead Orbit - Their belief is that they must abandon Earth and The Traveler before The Darkness returns. They value technology for their survival, not Light. At odds with New Monarchy. Arach Jalaal leads them.
Future War Cult - They believe in military might and secrecy. Covert operations, as they see war with The Darkness as inevitable. Lored to be around since late Golden Age, they were founded when a Doctor used an alien technology by a race called The Vex to look into the future. They investigate guardians who've been lost to time.
New Monarchy - They seek to unite all factions and provide the proper government reign over The Last City as government was in The Golden Age. They believe in law and order. Executor Hideo leads them.

Void - Interdimensional cosmic energy used with concussive and gravitational force. (Purple aura)
Solar - Thermal flames and heat based energy that incinerates and burns matter. (Orange aura)
Arc - Electroconductive streams of energy that seize atoms and particles via amperages and voltage. (Blue aura)

Sentinel - Creates a perpetual energy of void element, in a construct of a shield. This projectile can be blunt or thrown. Can also be used to make void shields to protect others from harm. Uses void attacks also.
Sunbreaker - Calls on The Hammer of Sol, a flaming hammer to throw or decimate enemies with flames and inferno. Uses flames.
Striker - Calls upon the arc element to charge themselves with conductive energy, to channel and harness a strong lightning impact known as Fist of Havoc. They use the power of electricity.
+Hunter
Nightstalker - The hunter uses the power of space energy to become one with the night and shadow, capable of tethering enemies in strong gravity energy and stealth. Void element.
Gunslinger - Use the power of flames and the sun to burn enemies to a crisp. Can summon a flame pistol which disintegrates enemies with Solar Light.
Arcstrider - Infused with arc energy, they become a swift bolt of lightning that discharges any matter in heir way. They can create a stream of lightning into a polearm or blades to zap foes.

Voidwalker - These warlocks siphon life energies for a variety of uses, a method that is controversial but dire. Very offensive and uses void energy to deal massive damage via a huge surplus of energy, the Nova Bomb.
Dawnblade - Using the power of flames and solar energy, these warlocks smite does with the power of a Phoenix, infusing their entire essence with fire and using a blade to harness the power of the sun.
Stormcaller - These warlocks uses harmony within to release a flurry of lightning without. They call upon the power of arc energy to literally become a living storm, with lightning rushing from their being to chain lightning upon all atoms that stand in their way.
