An Odd Acquaintance
Isaac and Deltorve had finally arrived in Fairwolf, with Isaac feeling like he was back home. As he saw the different colored buildings, he looked over towards the direction the base was in and grew a little concerned. "Let's make a little trip first." Isaac told Deltorve, as he began making his way over towards the base. What looked like a shadow stood at the entrance to the base, a shadow that slowly coalesced into form as a grim-looking figure clad in black armor from head to toe, the armor jagged in its appearance and harrowing in suggestion. A slight raising of the head followed towards the two that approached, the figure not saying a word. Perhaps Deltorve might know who this grim figure is, but Isaac almost certainly wouldn't.
Delt looks curiously at the figure, but pays him no mind. He is focused on training Isaac. "Let us find a place to study, and then begin your training."
Isaac looks towards the figure and raises his brows, he had never seen or heard of this figure before. "Wait a minute, who is that near the base?" He said, keeping his gaze fixed on the figure.
Delt sighed. "Some warrior who has well repute. He is apparently famous, from what I see upon his past."
A voice called from within the helmet, strange and distorted by the shape of it as they approached closer, calling to them, "Stand and deliver." The hand rested lightly on the pommel of the sturdily-built bastard sword at his hip.
Isaac seems to become a little startled by the man going for his weapon. "W-wait a minute! We're not here to hurt anyone!" Isaac really hoped the man wouldn't do anything too sudden.
"Good. I'd rather not kill anyone today." The hand moved away from the sword, before holding a hand out. "Identification, then." The voice was gruff and cut short, as if impatient.
Delt then sighed. "You are the Digger, Isaac. Not me."
"Give me a minute then Delt." Isaac replied, digging into his pocket before pulling out his Digger identification card and handing it to the man. "Here you are."
The card was accepted, and he looked over it. Nodding once, he said, still staring at the card. "You're going to see Daquan. No questions until you get there." He then peered up at both of them, the eyes glaring from the helmet. "Understand?"
Isaac took the card and nodded, putting it away. "Right." Was his only response to the man.
Delt nodded. "Of course."
"Good." He stepped out of the way of the doorway, and gestured for them to enter, looking out past the way for any potential troubles. Isaac enters inside, knowing where to go and find Daquan's office. Delt follows after, simply waiting for Isaac to finish his business.

Behind them followed that grim figure, the armor rustling and clanking behind him as they walked, before they came to the office. "Go in."
Isaac nods and opens the door to Daquan's office, looking to see the man with partially gray hair standing at the opposite end. Daquan looks around and smiles as Isaac comes in. "Commander!" Isaac said, walking in. "Good to see you're okay!"
"Same to you, Isaac. I trust everything's been fine so far." Of course, the Hound Knight stood in front of the door once it shut, standing guard. Delt simply stood silent, and waited, his blue hood down to cover his face.
Daquan looked over towards Delt. "And who might you be, good sir?"
"I am Isaac's tutor. Pay me no mind."
"You seem familiar to me sir. Well, as you wish. I imagine you've already met the mercenary."
"Yeah." Isaac replied. "What's up with that? I thought you got Digger's to do that."
"Well, not this time. Not with what has been happening lately." Daquan looks out the window as he talks. "However, I will be going off duty soon Isaac and will be leaving for a while. I am sorry this will be of short notice. But, however, I do believe we have narrowed down who it is that did this to our base."
"Really? Alright, we can finally bring the culprit in then."
"Yes, well... I fear it will require some help. Do be cautious on your travels, Isaac, for I fear people will be after you soon too. I hope your tutor will take good care of you while you are under his wing."
Delt nods. "He shall be protected under my watch."
Daquan nods. "Very well..." He heads to the door and knocks on it to alert the mercenary before opening the door. "I shall not hold up too much of your time here. But before you go." Daquan looks to the mercenary and hands him a bag of stones for his job. "Here is your pay for guarding the base. Now I have another job for you to do."
Obviously, the Knight took the stones, and put them into his backpack. Currency was always a good thing. "What's the next task. You know my contract's conditions." He nods once.
Daquan nods. "I do. I fear that the man responsible for attacking this base will be after this boy. So, I am hiring you to protect Isaac from this man. You will be paid for once the man has been brought to justice, is this agreeable to you?"
"It's payment, and it's a job. Of course it's acceptable." He nods once, the metal rustling and rattling upon his form.
"Very well, I shall leave you three to your business then." Daquan closes the door to his office before walking off.
Isaac looks over towards the mercenary. "So uh, what's your name sir?"
"His name is...Locke Carnelia."
"My name's not important. You may know me as the Hound Knight. I'm escorting you. If you get into trouble, I will personally strap you to my back to ensure my pay is good. Understood?" His voice was sharp and to the point, before glancing in a slightly frustrated way towards Delt.
Delt smirks. "Very well, Hound Knight. Let us go then." he snickered. At least he could get -some- enjoyment out of his magic every once in a while.
"Nice to meet you Hound Knight, and yeah, I understand." Isaac looks towards Delt. "You can lead us to a spot from here."
"Hmm....north."
"North it is, then. We march." He nods to the two of them. "I'm always ready to leave."
"Estimated time of arrival...4 hours, 13 minutes and 34 seconds. I shall lead the way...hopefully that bear doesnt decide to give us a visit." He grumbles to himself. To Isaac this was normal by now, but the Hound Knight may be a little confused. But he was not. After years of eccentric employers, the Hound Knight had stopped questioning things. He simply shook his head and followed.
Isaac nods and sighs a little. "Let's go then. The sooner, the better."
Delt then leads the way, his intricate blue and white robes fluttering as he turned to walk out of the building and onwards north.
