BUG REPORTS THREAD: XenForo 2.0.9

This is a thread for reporting anything you believe to be a bug! We have just updated the forum to a whole new software version, so there are bound to be errors. Please post ALL bug reports here for the time being.

LIST OF KNOWN ISSUES (CHECK THIS LIST BEFORE POSTING):

• Some BBcodes may be broken! Please DO NOT report BBcode issues here. Go to this thread instead.
• Some permission settings may be broken. Please DO report any issues you have with viewing or using thread, post, or other tools.
• The styles are not finished. Please DO report anything that causes visibility issues.
• The Ads Manager and roleplay ad banners are currently unavailable. There is an error that is top priority to fix, don't worry.
• Some Google Fonts are not displaying correctly.
• The bump tool for threads is not compatible with 2.0. We are working to find a replacement but there is currently not a viable option. :[
• Signatures are displaying full size rather than collapsing. We are also trying to fix this, but until then, please use smol signatures and do not stretch the page. Signatures now auto scroll if they are too tall.
• Post ratings got eaten in the database transfer. We unfortunately can't do anything about this one. They still are counted towards your ranking for most likes on the Members page, but may not all appear on your posts or on your profile count. UPDATE: Post reaction counts for profiles should now be FIXED. Some reactions still did not transfer over, specifically those from deleted users or those given to posts by deleted users.
• Custom site styles are no longer a thing because the new version of UIX does not include a style chooser. To make up for this, new site styles are on the way! We'll be adding a variety of color styles to go with our greyscale options. (ALSO CLOWN FIESTA.)
• Prefixes for Inbox Conversations didn't make it, but you can now create categories!
• STAR FORUMS ARE CURRENTLY NOT ACCESSIBLE. We are working on a fix for this but this one was a major nasty surprise. Please hold tight, this just became top priority. Go here to get this fixed!
• Character Gallery bio fields are not displaying properly, but don't worry! They're not lost! We'll have them up as soon as possible. Bios are now visible! There is still an error with the field phrases though.
• "Restricted" Clans are hidden to everyone except specific usergroups (currently, none). If your Clan is set to Restricted and you can no longer view it, contact an Admin for help.
• Alerts are given for every new post reaction. Until this is fixed, you can turn off notifications for reactions in your Preferences.
• Sidebars and conversation info may not be displaying in Firefox. Chrome and IE display correctly.
• Dice roller and results are not displaying. They SHOULD still be in there, however, so we'll get those back soon. The new dice roller could not transfer the data in to the new system - HOWEVER the data still exists. If you need dice roll records, give us the post id for each roll and we can get that for you.
• Zero Star is not hiding the star forums from the index.
• Ban reasons now show on profiles and not on banned members' posts. Their posts are not greyed-out and their avatars are not removed. We lost this addon.
• After leaving conversations, they still count towards the category tally.
• The Ignore Forum function got lost. Currently no viable alternative addon.
• Element Clans have reverted to gender selections. We'll switch this back ASAP, since we can't remove this field. GUESS WHAT? WE CAN FINALLY DELETE THIS. It is kill.
• BbCode in Profile Posts is currently turned OFF due to a massive error. It will return once that error is fixed.

LIST OF KNOWN STYLE ISSUES

• Roleplay resumes are squished and cut off in the thread view (below avatars).
• Thread prefixes at the top of the forum index are scrolling endlessly to the right rather than moving to a new row. Fixed.
• Mobile does not have an easy way to access your own profile from the dropdown menu.
• Thread export is cutting off at 3000 posts. The cut off is now 300,000 posts. If that is not enough, damn.
• Alert flags on mobile do not show unless you click the menu.
• Conversations are squished.
• Block notices are appearing below thread titles and tags.
• There is a huge empty space on mobile between the user info and the post field for posts.

I've been trying to add bits to my own profile to see if I can pull it but it's saving for me no problem.
Did your username get deleted or something maybe? I'm not exactly sure. Squicks is one of the fields that I edited already even.
Have you tried refreshing the page and re-entering?

I suppose this probably isn't a bug, but I'm just wondering if it's a permanent style change to not be able to see the last post in each forum from the front page? If it is I'll definitely get used to it, but I just wanted to check.

Post reactions didn't all transfer over (fully, anyway).

Sort of! If I look back at my old posts, I can still see that the ratings are there so they haven't been eaten entirely. Do they just not tally up correctly anymore on the profile page?

Alright pretty sure this one is a real bug.
The thread export function- I'm sure it works differently, it doesn't show you the html text that you can copy anymore- but it only shows up to post 3000. I wanted to check with other threads of mine but I don't have any others longer than that. There's no next page or anything that would let you view the rest of the RP, it just cuts off at 3000 posts.

Not a big deal, but conversations I've left still count towards their category. (Does not apply to "All Conversations".) Note that all the conversations I left were set to accept future replies, I haven't tested the ignore.

okay, so I did some testing on one slight bug I noticed in order to figure it out, and before commenting it I read through all the posts so far in order to avoid reposting the issue. My issue did get mentioned, but not in the way I'm having it.

Basically, the issue is that div boxes aren't showing up if there's no text inside, which would normally be fine, except one of my posting formats have some div boxes that are supposed to be used just to show a background image by itself of the character about to act in order to add flavor to the post, with no actual text inside the box. I could probably figure out a way around this for myself, but this method of displaying backgrounds was brought up earlier as a fix and I have just found that it won't work if there's no text in the box so I wanted to bring it up. Also, I'd rather not complicate my own posting codes more if I can avoid it >_>

tl;dr: div boxes w/o text inside = no display

This is a problem because I want to show the pictures themselves as a standalone closeup without getting photoshop involved, not to mention I think this may have actually been the core problem for that previous poster with their backgrounds, but I'm not 100% sure either.

That's indeed a thing that has popped up after the update. Best way to combat that (if you really don't want any text) is by adding text and then colouring the text transparent. That way it won't be visible.

Half of the images in my character thread are missing -- not really sure how to explain, it's kinda like they were never there. Same deal with the media players that are supposed to be in the top right corner of the faceclaim circle on some of them.
images are missing in all of my posts as well last I checked but that's the same basic code so the problems probably overlap
also I'm really sad that the spoili code leaves that text-portion-sized black box instead of collapsing to just the button but idk that that's a bug persay
also also code within aforementioned spoilis acts like it's framed in the 'plain' code

The news feed doesn't seem to be updating. I just realized that a number of posts from before the site went down were removed from the top of the feed, and absolutely nothing has been added to it today. (Even though things have been posted/liked by people I follow, and they haven't changed their settings to hide that from feeds.)


Edit: status updates get posted to it. Just not threads/posts. Not sure about likes, now...

In regards to the music player. I just updated the music player guide to reflect the updates, so it should be workable now. Alternatively, the BBcode list shows also new codes for music players that you can use! :D

As for a bug report. I believe the overflow is broken, which causes the scrolls that I like to hide so much to appear. ;;;;

This isn't really a bug. It's more of a feature. I don't like that on the mobile version or when at least you're looking at the website on your phone you can't see your flags unless you click the menu button. I haven't tried the desktop version yet and if it's the same way I don't like it that way either.

Another way to fix the textless divs is to put each option on its own line. Sure, it's not as compact, but so far it's worked nicely for me.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or a change, but signatures can't be set to collapsed anymore.
And some people have some reaaally big signatures XD

There seems to be one on mobile, but for the desktop site the top bar that scrolls with you doesn't have a home button so you need to scroll back to the top to click it.

If you're looking to get back to the home page, clicking on Forums (the tab, not the arrow for the dropdown menu) takes you home.

Thanks to this very post, I have also learned that the in-line image editor:

^ that thing, doesn't seem to resize images correctly. I tried numerous times to resize my monstrous cell phone screengrab and it wouldn't size down. Clicking and dragging the corners doesn't seem to work either.

I believe the issue is that the image resizing only works on linked images, not attachments. That seems to be the case anyways.

One other little thing I noticed though: is there a reason for PM threads being mobile size even on PC?

Not exactly a bug, strictly speaking, but the element clan selections have reverted to gender selections.
